The Faceless

2011-05-21T15:55:00.000-07:00

As most of you can see, I took a short break. Classes are almost finished for this school year. BUT here we are with another great band!

This is The Faceless, a technical death metal band, and by far one of the best.
Today's song is Prison Born off of their second album Planetary Duality!

Tell me what you think below!

Abigail Williams

2011-05-19T15:06:00.000-07:00

Today I dive into a piece of Black Metal art. With one of my top bands, Abigail Williams! This is a song from their first album, In The Shadow Of A Thousand Suns called Into the Ashes

Hope you all like it!

Disarmonia Mundi

2011-05-18T16:09:00.000-07:00

Alright, now I'll show my personal favorite band.... Disarmonia Mundi
Another Melodic Death Metal band. These guys are actually just 2 guys from Italy. Ettore, who does ALL the instrumental work and clean vocals. And Claudio, who does all of the growling and such. They also have a guest vocalist who does some different vocals in more than just a few songs. That guest vocalist is Bjorn from Soilwork. A band some of you might know, and that I'm sure I'll post about someday soon.

In the meantime check out two of my favorite tracks from Disarmonia Mundi!

Structural Wound off of their latest album, The Isolation Game

Liquid wings off of their Mind Tricks album

Let me know what you think below.

Scar Symmetry

2011-05-17T14:48:00.000-07:00

Scar Symmetry, they used to be the true masters of Melodic Death Metal before they lost the vocalist found in this song.

The Illusionist - Scar Symmetry off of their Pitch Black Progress album

Tell me what you think! And look into these guys if you haven't because they're DEFINITELY worth your time!

Children of Bodom

2011-05-16T15:07:00.000-07:00

Today I thought I would talk about another giant in Melodic Death Metal. Children of Bodom. A fairly well known band actually, but I'd like you all to hear this song if you haven't yet

Kissing the Shadows off of their Follow the Reaper album! I hope you all enjoy it!
Tell me what you think in the comments everyone!

A different mix

2011-05-15T20:00:00.000-07:00

So we got a Melodic Death Metal song in. How about we take a look at the Thrash Metal scene? One of the Big 4, and my personal favorite... Megadeth! Great guys, and also the background of this blog. I saw them back in September 2010 and that was a pic I took of the show.

Here's Tornado of Souls by Megadeth off their Rust In Peace Album

Your opinions? Like the clean vocals over growls? Let me know what you think in the comments!

The beginning

2011-05-15T14:08:00.000-07:00

Hey guys, I wanted to start off the blog by showing off one of the first Metal bands I got into. A "Melodic Death Metal" band called In Flames. I'm sure most fans of metal know these guys very well. But to the people that haven't I'm going to share the first song that I heard from them. The first I heard and still one of my favorites.

Another Day In Quicksand - In Flames

Tell me what you guys think in the comments, and let me know if there's anything you want me to talk about, or know about.
