Thanks to everyone who came to Metro DC Bible Study this fall! The fall Bible study is over and we’re taking a break during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Check back soon and often for plans for the start of a new Bible study in January 2011.

Please accept Ron’s challenge to invite at least one individual or couple to join you for Bible study in the New Year. Until then, have a great Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Great Beginnings!

Great start to Metro DC Bible Study last night! I was so encouraged to see all of you there. There were many familiar faces and some not so familiar ones.

I love it when the church finds expression in the community. No better place for that to happen than at the Old Town Hall in Fairfax, across the street from a busy tavern. I know of at least four churches that were represented last night. Above all, the Spirit of God rested upon us. I sensed his presence in the room and hope you did as well.

I forgot to mention that we WILL be gathering next Sunday, October 3 at 6:30pm. Please invite a friend and make note of the remaining dates this fall: Oct 3, Oct 24, Nov 7 and Nov 21.

How do we get it? Does faith really move mountains? Dr. Ron Jones addresses these and other questions in this study of the life of Abraham.

Metro DC Bible Study, a new spiritual formation experience for the community, starts on September 26 at 6:30pm. The gathering happens at the beautiful and historic Old Town Hall in Fairfax.
