Welcome to the Metropolitan Activity Center, the most recent addition to the well-maintained Metropolitan campus. The facility houses a 220-seat banquet hall, a commercial kitchen, four conference rooms, a full-court gymnasium with stage, and more.

Our facility can host a range of events which includes but is not limited to:

Banquet Hall

This dining facility is the pearl of Hyattsville with a seating capacity of 225. It brags exceptional architectural and interior design elements, and exquisite features such as a grand foyer entrance, crystal chandeliers, recessed tray ceiling lighting, hand sewn drapery, rich carpeting, and the finest in superb furnishings.

Exceptional menu options, artistic presentations, innovative themes, and sophisticated services are all part of the Banquet Hall experience. Whether your event is a wedding reception, grandiose debutante ball, an intimate family gathering, or a corporate meeting, the hospitality of the onsite staff will ensure a memorable and successful experience. Be assured that we will provide you with attentive service, tailored specifically to meet your needs.

Conference Rooms

There are two conference rooms that seats about 80 individuals in each. These conference rooms can be further divided to host a smaller event. The rooms are also perfect for break out sessions for your meeting or training session.

Commercial Kitchen

The Activity Center is equipped with a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen—a caterer’s dream. From this facility, your guests will enjoy delicious menus prepared by one of our preferred caterers or by a licensed and insured caterer of your choosing.

Metropolitan Activity Center Preferred Caterers are recommended to provide you with top-notch service to handle all of your food and beverage needs. Metropolitan Activity Center Preferred Caterers offers a variety of service styles, meal types and menu options for your special event.

Audio Visual

Beyond basic sound, you will be put in touch with our professional and knowledgeable personnel from Metropolitan Media Ministries who will discuss your audiovisual needs with you.

Convenient Location

Strategically located within minutes from the nation’s capitol, the Metropolitan Activity Center offers all the essentials for the finest event accommodations and experience at affordable rates. There is ample parking for large events and is within close proximity to Fort Totten, West Hyattsville, and Prince George’s Plaza Metro Stations.

Be Optimistic

Infuse me with your hope, so that my discouragements will be turned to optimism based on your faithfulness."

REMINDER: God loves you so much that He wrote your name in the palm of His hands. Such love will never disregard the sound of your cries. He promises that before you call He will answer - while you are yet speaking He will hear. Let your attitude reflect that you trust your Heavenly Father.

Peace is so very important that the Bible in Colossians 3:15 recommends that we allow the PEACE of God to rule in our hearts. That means Peace should be in complete control

Peace should be our Advisor
Peace should be our Partner
Peace should be consulted first – never leaning on our own understanding.

If that's the case, then I must make some adjustments in my behavior to allow room for peace to operate. I must take charge of my tongue so that it becomes an instrument of encouragement and healing, rather than one of destruction. I must determine to know God's will and follow through with His peace instructions, in His way and in His timing. Most of all, each day I must invite the Holy Spirit to invade my thoughts, fill my heart, and transform my life, making me a channel-a riverbed of peace to others. Make a decision today to eject agitation and allow PEACE to sit on the throne of your heart.

You will be happier for it.
