Among those in the parade, two giant snowmen riding a tractor, passed by, Tommy’s eyes sparkled with delight. He giggled as on the snowmen waved at him, throwing candy into the crowd.
Then came the Metuchen High School marching band, their instruments gleaming bright. The sound of drums and trumpets filled the air, and Tommy couldn’t help but dance along with the rhythm. His mom laughed, her heart warmed by the joy on Tommy’s face.
As the parade continued, Tommy spotted his favorite character, Santa Claus, riding on a beautifully decorated sleigh. Santa waved and called out, “Ho, ho, ho!” Tommy’s excitement reached new heights as he waved back, his little heart filled with the magic of the holiday season.
As they made their way home, Tommy’s mother asked, “What was your favorite part of the parade, Tommy?” Tommy thought for a moment and then replied, “Santa!!”
