In our last Reviewed by You post, we asked about your first memory of Club Penguin. You said you were excited to meet new friends, discover games, and adopt a puffle for the first time. Many of you received warm welcomes from other friendly penguins that helped you.

Wow! We never knew that Club Penguin would make the news with all of its glitches and stupidity. Its plastered all over ABC,CBS and even mashable news. This is becoming ridiculous.

Club penguin is getting famous without even trying for it.

(CBS) - Break out the Advil, parents! The popular children's gaming site Club Penguin was offline and re-directing to a parked domain site all morning.
We're guessing the masterminds at Disney haven't learned from the Dallas Cowboy's URL debacle last year. ClubPenguin.com expired last week and was in URL limbo this morning. Whois.domaintools.com said their status as "Pending Renewal or Deletion."
Blog ClubPenguinInsider.com reported that Club Penguin denied rumors that the site had been shut down and said that it would go back online within a few hours.

The site, which launched in 2005 and bought by the Walt Disney Company in 2007 for $350 million, is an online world with mini games and chat rooms. The massively multi-player online role-playing domain claims to have 12 million members and is basically a World of Warcraft for tots - without the creepy ghosts and guilds.
Although the site went back up around noon, users can't seem to log in to play. People are taking to Twitter and reporting...

Gaming companies are increasingly focusing on kids following the success of Club Penguin — a massively multiplayer online role-playing game owned by US-based New Horizon Interactive, which was acquired by Disney in August 2007 for $350 million.
(zdnet) - Disney was willing to pay up to $700 million for Club Penguin, but apparently forgot to renew its domain. Parents can’t be happy.

If you go to Club Penguin—like my daughter did—you get an odd looking Network Solutions page. It’s the page you get when you haven’t renewed a domain name. The page has been down for a good chunk of the day. CBS News reported that Club Penguin returned about noon, but a lot of folks still can’t get to the site. The outage has been widely reported on Club Penguin blogs such as the Club Penguin Insider.

“The domain name has expired, but has been restored, but everything is getting back to normal,” said a Disney spokeswoman. Some players can’t log on, but most of the service has been restored.

Disney’s customer support line has been swamped with calls from parents and the company said it will review procedures to avoid this issue again. According to this lookup, Club Penguin’s domain expired June 13. A week later, Disney’s site is gone.

You’d think a company that spent $350 million in cash with an equal amount in potential earn-outs would at least mark its domain name calendars.

This comes up!

Really?! They have millions of dollars and are a company owned by disney! Don't they have an auto renewing domain? Or at least a team of people to renew it right away! Someone can buy the domain before they renew it! Then club penguin will be gone forever!! I hate this! What do you think?

Penguin Band at ice burg!

Hey penguins,Its hard to get the penguin band to show up on club penguin,unless you have time.So to get them on go to the ice burg every thirty minutes such as 8:00 or 8:30(ect...).They only stay for five minutes but you have to be there when they arrive other wise you cant and wont be able to see them.

About DJ Cadence:

Cadence, also known as "DJ K-Dance", is a popular purple-haired musician, DJ and dancer. Always down for a dance off, you'll usually find her at the Night Club mixing music for the Dance Contest game.She made a big splash when she threw the Dance-a-thon Party for members in January of 2009, and showed up to 'chill' in person.

Thing to Remember:

DJ Cadence is a pink penguin. She has a yellow and pink stripped scarf that she always wears. Along with that, she has gray and lime green headphones. Her hair is pink and purple and sometimes she waddles around with her purple puffle.

Top 12 Tips for tracking DJ Cadence:

1. DJ Cadence is always on Club Penguin if the Club Penguin Rooftop is open. The first step for finding her is making sure she is online and that's one of the places you can check to make sure she is on Club Penguin.

2. DJ Cadence is popular so she will be surrounded by a large crowd. If you see a large crowd of penguins in a room, DJ Cadence may be in that crowd.

3. If your on a server and you randomly see a big crowd - Check to see if a Cadence is there. If you can't see any than look at the "Users In Room" list to double check.

4. DJ Cadence is an outgoing penguin and likes to appear on busy servers like Frozen, Blizzard, Mammoth, Alpine, and Yeti. She usually visits rooms like the Night Club, Night Club Lounge, and the Night Club Roof.

5. DJ Cadence will log onto popular servers during the day. At night she is more likely to be on a quiet server.

6. Generally, the DJ Cadence is online dancing 14 hours a day waddling around the island giving out a free autographed background. DJ Cadence will most likely visit each server for 15 - 20 minutes. Be careful though, sometimes she may leave quickly.

7. It's not unusual for DJ Cadence to be logged onto more than one server at a time. Sometimes this happens when Club Penguin is really busy and Cadence wants to meet as many penguins as she possibly can.

8. If a server is full , don't waste your time refreshing and trying to get on the server thinking DJ Cadence is there unless you are 100% sure that she is online. Remember that at parties servers get full as penguins log on to enjoy the fun. A full server doesn't mean the DJ Cadence is necessarily is on that server.

9. When you find DJ Cadence make sure to click her player card and get the free item. Click the button on ther player card that has a box on it . This will add the free item to your account.

10. If you'd like help tracking for DJ Cadence and want to form a search group, feel free to visit Cp-Rockz tracking chat. Once you're at the chat, go to the blue tab on the bottom of you users list that says "Tracking".

11. Don't waste your time with "trackers". If you've worked with a tracker before you'll notice 95% of the time they're inaccurate and a waste of your time. You'll most likely be able to find the Club Penguin band quicker with a group of your friends than relying on trackers that don't update for hours at a time.

The time has finally come for the Club Penguin Band Tracker 2011 to arrive. The Penguin Band members will be waddling around the island all throughout the Music Jam, and this year I wanted to bring you a new and improved Penguin Band Tracker for June 2011! With the new outfits of each member, it will be a little tricky finding them, but here I’ll show you a few tips for this year on how to find each member! But, before we get in to any of that, here is our Club Penguin Band Tracker 2011:

About the Club penguin Band:
With G Billy on drums, Petey K on accordion, Stompin' Bob on bass and Franky on guitar, the members of Penguin Band make quite a team. Whenever they play on the island, they attract crowds of fans and inspire many a penguin to pick up an instrument and start their own bands.

About the Club Penguin Band Members:
Stompin' Bob is the red penguin in the Penguin Band. He plays the bass and writes the songs for the Club Penguin band. G Billy is the navy blue penguin in the Penguin Band. He plays the drums and never takes off his red lucky bandana. PeteyK is the green penguin who is on the accordion and he likes pulling pranks on G Billy. Franky is the yellow penguin in the Penguin Band, he's my favorite. Franky plays the keyboard and still has butterflies before a performance.

Top 12 Tips for tracking the Club Penguin Band:

1. The Club Penguin Band consists of four members. Their names are GBilly, PeteyK, Franky, and Stompin' Bob.

Club Penguin Pet Shop Glitch

Hello penguins! I was going to buy a puffle today but sadly I couldn't. Because there is a glitch at the pet shop! It's all white! You cannot see a thing! Look at this snapshot of it.

I was on club penguin waddling around when I found a small little path that is maybe leading to on undiscovered room! This pathway does seem a little tight and narrow but Club Penguin may clear it out! Check it out!
