Gosh! It's exactly 1 mth since I last posted here. I was really very busy especially when kids are adapting in new school, homeworks, spelling & etc... It means mummy will have more time spent chaffering kids to enrichment classes etc.. With the festive season round the corner, there's spring cleaning which is a breeze for me as that is where my maid comes in. Corporating a business is also a very tedious job. *Sigh* All this explains why I go M.I.A.

Yesterday, hubbie and me were at Chinatown. It's late night and just 3 days from CNY but the crowd was still managable unlike the past years. The fragrance from grilling of Bak Kwa can be smell almost everywhere. We walk past Lim Chee Guan and was surprise there's no Q, a curious me walk in to ask if there's still any to sell. Yap! Chilli Bak Kwa slices still available so... we bought 1kg for S$50.00 That uncle even gave me more. Wahaha! If there's Q, we won't buy lor. Very lucky rite. Though their signature is normal Bak Kwa, I guess this chilli type won't be too bad too.

New Shop at Vivo City selling Li'l Men's Wear.

Chance upon this shop, Camouflage at Vivo City last weekend. It's spacious and well lit up, selling all the li'l men's wear. So great! Ayden is so happy and tried a few pieces but most doesn't have his size so we reserved and will be picking it up today. This shop sells clothing for boys ONLY so parents with gals need not patronize but it's good for gift ya. Their clothing is very trendy and boyish unlike those normal tee shirt and shirt you're likely to see at most shops. Though it's not branded, it's clothing is presentable and reasonably priced.

Singapore need to have more shops like this :)

My Gal 1st Day at School

Time flies! My daughter is officially primary one, entering her next phrase of life and this shows her mummy, me is few years older. I'm so excited and nervous for her but she wasn't bothered at all. So cool...

I catered food for her so I gave her $1.50 daily as pocket money. As she has a big appetite, I'm so worried that she might be hungry easily so... I pack a small lunch box for her to go along. Stuff like grapes and snacks :)

During the 1st few days, buddy system was introduced. Some primary 5 students were chosen to guide the primary one newbies during recess time. At least it's less messy and there's someone to bring them around and show them how to go about purchasing their food. Parents are allowed to watch their kids at arm length during recess time. See those purple circles, she's seated obediently on the beach eating burger provided by the caterer.

Though she brought a lot of books on the 1st day, most of it were kept in the school cupboard by their teachers. Phew! It lessen the kids load off their shoulders at least.

Medical Report: Multinodular Goiter with dominant left thyroid nodule

After the US guided FNAC of left thyroid nodule, it shows that it's benign. Well, doctor suggest that we leave it there untouch but monitoring and review is still needed as there's always chances that it might grow to something cancerous or big in size.

I adopt that idea of "untouched" as I'm worried of ugly scar on my neck if I got to have a surgery done but after some brainwash by some concern friends, I decided to have it remove permanently to have a piece of mind instead of planting a time bomb in my body. Well said, since it doesn't belong to part of my body though it's harmless then what the hell. Why must I watch it grow in me, I might as well remove it once and for all.

Nodular Goitres:
A thyroid nodule is a small lump which develops in the thyroid. There are two types:

1) A multinodular goitre. This means the thyrois gland has developed many lumps or "nodules". The thyroid gland feels generally lumpy.

2) A single nodule. Causes include:

*a cyst ( a fluid-filled benign tumour)
*an adenoma (a solid benign tumour)
* a cancerous tumour

I am blessed for giving birth to 1 gal & 1 boy so I'm officially announcing that I'll stop at 2. At least for now, this will be my decision or perhaps I should say our decision. We'll focus our energy and time on our 2 bubbly kids and career. Giving birth is easy at least for me I'm sure not all had a smooth delivery but raising them is a long journey....

Most of my friends either had 1 boy and they stopped or after giving birth to 1 gal 1 boy. Personally, I find that 2 is just nice. God is always fair! We must be satisfied with what we had.

Heard this song and find it so touching. It teaches us not to be ungrateful and we must remember our parents who raise us up. In my case, additional caretakers like my grandparents and uncle help in raising me up to what I am today. Thank you to them from the bottom of my heart.

2009 Christmas Party with Family

Christmas, that's the day kids yawn for besides their b-day. It means gifts exchange and receiving plenty gifts. So here is what we've received this Christmas.

Not forgetting my maid, a bundle of sundries and scents.
Of cos, there's still many presents given by neighbours and relatives. This Christmas is so joyful and I guess every year will be the same :)

Brought Chloe to Kukup, The Seafood Village in Malaysia. It's just a 2day 1 nite trip but we had so much fun... Looked at the slide show and I needn't to say. Went for my review at SGH Specialist Clinic. I've done the blood test and ultrasound on my thyroid as my neck seems to grow bigger in size. Well, blood test is normal but from my ultrasound report it shows multiple thyroid nodules which is somewhat not normal. There's 1 particular bigger nodule on the left side of my gland and a smaller 1 on the right. Further test need to be done to see if it's cancerous.

Farm Visits

We started our farm visits after we had our late breakfast at Tiong Bahru market. Weather was considered good today as it had been raining cats and dogs recently. We went to Farmart Centre where there's many small shops selling puppies, fishes, birds, tibbits, water features & etc...

There's also a small corner where you're able to find goats, tortoises, rabbits etc... Feeding for those animals is allowed but purchases strictly from the tenants. We bought 2 small bundles of vegetables at $1.00 each to feed the goats and 2 small packets with only a few strands of carrots at $1.00 per packet. From the photos above you can see how thrilled my kids are when they fed the animals. My hubbie enjoyed it too.

Look at the spread of food, can you imagine Chloe eating most of the food here, let me recalled what Chloe had eaten. Half bowl of rice, half bowl of Zaru Soba, half Ebi Mentaiyaki, abt 2pcs of Golden Roll, 1pc Hotate Misomayo and we shared the icecream. I'll be broke if she carry on eating this way.

I like the Golden Roll most. Look at the big prawn head, rice was stuffed in it. Really worth and highly recommended. The crunchiness when you bite cos of the crispy prawn. The mango slice on top of it makes it smell nice and looks presentable too.

Chloe is among the few being invited for Tien Hsia's photo shooting. It's a tiring Saturday as Chloe just finished her graduation concert then rushing down to Tien Hsia for photo shooting. Well! Everything's smooth and the kids are cooperative so it takes less then 30mins.

BBQ + Halloween Party for Chloe's 6th B'day!

It's Halloween & also Chloe's 6th B-day. Well, this year I've invited a few close friends and partied at my place. We're supposed to hold the BBQ downstairs as I've booked a BBQ pit but it was raining cats and dogs so I bought a portable BBQ pit and we changed the party venue to my place. Everything was so last minute luckily my mum brought along a tray of fried rice which left everyone yawned for it. She also managed to whip a few nice dishes for us as everyone were hungry and we thought that's a good idea. Serene helped to decorate my place with those Halloween's stuff and the kids had fun chasing each other. Hubbie & friends helped to BBQ for us :)p

This year, Chloe's birthday cake was not preordered. Instead it's an ice-cream cake from Island Creamery which costs me only S$28.00 This cake was marvelous but too small I should say. I managed to grab a bite from Chloe's plate.

It's a hassle free party with just some close friends and family. A very great nite together!

Chloe's invited for Kai's B-day at his residence. Initially I thought the timing might clashed with Chloe's party but since it's held at noon, I shouldn't turn them down else my Chloe will be disappointed. Today is Chloe's B-day so I should grant her wish right? BTW, Kai's B-day is on 03 November but he celebrated it today instead.

It's the 1st time my kids participate in Halloween party. It's fun and they enjoyed it. S$40.00 per pax includes a Tee-shirt for DIY design, goody bag, dinner and drinks. It's definitely worth it with so many stuff to bring home. Though it may look scaring for the kids as all staff are dressed as monsters etc... Can you imagine a dracula serving you food???
