Well, we’ve officially been in the studio for the past 2 weeks now. We are doing 7 tunes, who knows if all will make it onto the EP. We tackled all of the drums, 5 out 7 songs for bass, and 6 out of 7 songs for Kayla’s guitar, Ed starts guitars this upcoming week. Paul Dagnello and Dan Brown are doing an amazing job so far together engineering it all and dealing with our bullshit and antics.

It’s that time of the year people…time to put on those ugly holiday sweaters and get your drink on with us. On the day after Christmas, Saturday, December 26th, we bring Ludachristmas Party to Tammany Hall.

We have 2 for $1 raffle tickets where all the proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Foundation. We will be raffling off gift cards to Kurlan Music, Secret Society Tattoo Shop, and Hyder’s Mediterranean Marketplace.

Also, Free Food from Hyder’s Mediterranean Marketplace and exclusive clothing from CAVATA Clothing.

Pre-Production starting on Saturday

We’re about to start recording our pre-production ideas on this Saturday with our friend Dan Brown aka Megaboy Alpha. We’ll be recording about 7 tracks for an upcoming EP. Some songs you’ll recognize, some you won’t know about. We will keep ya posted!

Miars hits a homerun at Olivers…BRAH!

Anyone hear of Fenway Park in Boston?

Well, there’s a great little club behind it called Cask ‘n Flagon, they have a back room called Olivers. On November 6, we bring the rock, the groove, and anything in between to Olivers.

The raging starts at 9pm, we annihilate your domes at 10pm. It’s 21+ because there will be lots of alcohol being served and it’s $10 because it’s Boston and everything is overpriced.

This might be our last Boston show for awhile before we strap down and hit the studio for our upcoming EP. Watching Lost in your dorm room or apartment, does NOT make you cool on a Friday night, just remember that.

This is a huge week for Miars.

THURSDAY AT CREEGAN’S FOR TURTLE BOY MUSIC AWARDS.
6pm. FREE!

This Thursday (24th), we’re opening up the Worcester Magazine Turtle Boy Music Awards party at Creegan’s (Green st) at 6pm until 7:15pm. This show is absolutely free, so you have no excuse not to come right from work and enjoy a few (or 9) beverages.

SATURDAY AT HARPERS FERRY. 18+, $8. We play at 9pm.

Miars just got added to a last minute dance party/funky rock party happening at Harpers Ferry for this Saturday (9/26). Put on your dancing shoes because this show is gonna be insane! We are playing one of the best clubs in the Boston area with some tight bands.

We play first at 9pm, followed by Greenline Inbound, our buddies in Build A Machine for their CD release show, then Gentlemen Hall who’s also releasing their new CD and fresh off an MTV VMA’s performance.

This is an 18+ party and its $8 at the door

As the winner of Best Female Vocalist and runners up for Best New Act, Kayla Daly and Miars will be playing the 2009 Turtle Boy Awards show on Thursday, September 24 at Creegan’s Pub (right down the street from Lucky Dog on Green St)

Over 30 bands at 12 venues in the Canal District in Worcester.
We will be playing promptly at 6pm until 7:15, a longer than normal Miars set along with Kayla Daly originals & covers.

This show is completely FREE, so don’t miss your chance to see us play an extra long set. Our friends in The Sift will be playing right after us at 7:30pm, so stick around..

We just got word that Kayla (our singer/guitarist) has just won Best Female Vocalist in the 2009 Worcester Magazine Turtle Boy Music Awards!!!

Thank you so much to everyone that took time to vote for us or Kayla, we love you for that.

Miars were runners up for Best New Act, and we lost by 4 votes to our pals in The Dental Plan, so either way, it’s a great thing.

We will be playing the Turtle Boy Music Awards party happening on Thursday, September 24th in the canal district in Worcester. Venue and more info will be coming soon.
