Frohe Ostern, Ihr Lieben! Ich hoffe, Ihr verbringt alle zwei wunderbar entspannte Tage mit Euren Liebsten und ganz viel leckerer Schokolade, versteht sich! ;)

Drugstore News: essence lip products

Spring doesn't only mean birds singing and flowers blooming... it also means, that essence changes the standard range: some products leave, new ones arrive … products like these three new lipsticks: the Glossy Stick «03 Luminous Rosewood», the Velvet Stick «01 Nude Hero» and the «Velvet Matt 07» lipstick.

«03 Luminous Rosewood» is a beautiful dark rosewood /«your lips but better» kind of shades, which suits almost everybody. Although the name suggests a glossy appearance, it only has a very subtle shine. It’s creamy and thanks to the crayon shape it's easy to apply. The color lasts for about 2-3 hours and has a surprisingly good pigmentation.

The Velvet Matt lipstick «01 Nude Hero» (a light pink-nude) actually reminds me a lot about the Glossy Stick: It feels comfortable on the lips and is easy to apply. Compared it’s a little less creamy. The texture is more on the velvety side and higher pigmented. Therefore, it also lasts a little longer. Depending on what you eat and drink is stays on the lips for about 3-4 hours. I think the the Glossy Sticks and the Velvet Stick are great and can highly recommend to have a look at both!

In contrast I was a little disappointed about the «Velvet Matt 07» lipstick shade. Although the lipstick has a creamy formula, does the product not really melt into the lips. Additionally, the lipstick is unforgiving on dry patches and enhances the lip lines. I’m a huge fan of the essence «Longlasting Lipstick» range, but this Velvet Matt shade couldn't convince me!

«03 Luminous Rosewood» ist ein wunderschöner, etwas dunklerer Rosenholz-/«your lips but better»-Ton, der fast jedem steht. Obwohl der Name einen Glossy-Effekt vermuten lässt, ist die Farbe nur leicht glänzend. Sie fühlt sich aber auf den Lippen wunderbar cremig an und lässt sich dank der Malstift-Form problemlos und präzise auftragen. Die Pigmentierung finde ich übrigens überraschend gut. Die Haltbarkeit liegt beim Glossy Stick bei ca. 2-3 Stunden.

Der Velvet Matt lipstick «01 Nude Hero» (ein helles Pink-Nude) erinnert mich vom Tragekomfort her stark an den Glossy Stick: Er fühlt sich ebenfalls sehr angenehm an und lässt sich gut auftragen. Im Vergleich ist «03 Luminous Rosewood» etwas weniger cremig, dafür samtiger und etwas stärker pigmentiert – entsprechend hält er auch etwas länger. Abhängig davon, was gegessen/getrunken wird, hält er ca. 3-4 Stunden. Ich finde beide Lippenstifte grossartig und kann Euch sowohl die Glossy, wie auch die Velvet Sticks empfehlen!

Dagegen hat mich der Lippenstift «Velvet Matt 07» etwas enttäuscht. Obwohl er eine cremige Konsistenz hat, verbindet er sich nicht mit den Lippen, sondern betont die Lippenfältchen und kleine trockene Stellen. Schade! Ich bin ein grosser Fan der «Longlasting Lipstick» Reihe, der «Velvet Matt» Lippenstift konnte mich aber nicht überzeugen.

Like my dear blogger friend Nia from the Blog «But First, Create!» I have a thing for pretty fonts and love to play around with them for my blogposts. Luckily there are a tone of beautiful fonts out there. Some of them are with costs. Other ones are free - and fabulous!!! About one and a half months ago I got a new iPhone. Since my old case was about to fall apart I got myself a new case, which I ordered at Casetify. This online shop has a huge (!!!) selection of really pretty and stylish cases, so it was tough to choose. I ended up going for the «Confetti Hearts» and I'm head over heels in love!

Vor ungefähr anderthalb Monaten habe ich ein neues iPhone bekommen. Da meine alte Hülle leicht angeschlagen war, beschloss ich, mir ein neues Case bei Casetify zu bestellen. Dieser Online-Shop hat eine unglaublich grosse Auswahl (!!) und die Entscheidung fiel mir schwer. Schlussendlich ist es die «Confetti Hearts» Hülle geworden. Ist nicht süss? Ein anderes Pflegeprodukt, das im Februar im Dauereinsatz war, die «Hawaiian Kukui Cream» von The Body Shop, die ich am liebsten abends nach dem Duschen verwende. Die Creme pflegt die Haut, beruhigt mit einem angenehmen Duft und gibt mir ein angenehmes Gefühl von «Spa at Home».

Hello Beauties and welcome to a new week and a new #ManiMonday. Since I’m already completely in the mood for spring, I want to have a look at the Alessandro spring collection «Cosmic Chic». The collection actually contains five shades, of which I got four: «Electric Blue», «Heavenly Skies», «Milky Way» and «Rocket Man». The shade I miss is called «Cosmic Pink» a pretty fuchsia shade.

Hallo Ihr Hübschen und willkommen zu einer neuen Woche und damit zu einem neuen #ManiMonday Post. Da ich bereits richtig in Frühlingslaune bin, möchte ich mich heute der diesjährigen Alessandro Frühlingskollektion «Cosmic Chic» widmen. Diese besteht eigentlich aus fünf Farben, von denen vier Nuancen eingezogen sind: «Electric Blue», «Heavenly Skies», «Milky Way» und «Rocket Man» . «Cosmic Pink», ein schöner Pinkton fehlt mir.

When looking at the collection as a whole I don’t think it’s a typical spring collection – but still a very pretty one, right?

The two pastel shades «Heavenly Skies» and «Milky Way» are the most springlike ones to me. They’re both a little sheer and need 2-3 layers to cover perfectly. «Electric Blue» is a beautiful duochrome «mermaid tale» shade, which reminds me a lot of summer and beach. This shade is better pigmented and only needs 1-2 layers for a nice coverage. So does «Rocket Man», a pretty and natural mauve tone. To me this is one of those shades that always works: classy and beautiful!

Was meint Ihr? Wenn ich mir die Kollektion so ansehe, ist es farbenmässig keine typische Frühlingskollektion – dennoch gefällt sie mir gut! Und Euch? Die beiden Pastelltöne «Heavenly Skies» und «Milky Way» versprühen für mich am meisten Frühlingsgefühle. Leider sind sie etwas schwächer pigmentiert und brauchen daher, um komplett zu decken, 2-3 Schichten. Mit dem Duochrome Ton «Electric Blue», der mich farblich an eine Meerjungfrauenflosse erinnert, verbinde ich bereits erste sommerliche Gefühle. Die Farbe ist stärker pigmentiert und liefert in 1-2 Schichten ein deckendes Ergebnis. Ebenso deckend ist der klassische Mauveton «Rocket Man». Diese Farbe geht in meinen Augen immer – egal zu welcher Jahreszeit!

die letzten Wochen über habe ich meine Haarpflege etwas verändert und einen mittlerweile nicht ganz neuen Haarpflegetrend ausprobiert: «Reverse Washing», was so viel heisst, wie «umgekehrt waschen». Anstatt also Shampoo und dann Conditioner zu verwenden, wird die Reihenfolge umgedreht und das Shampoo kommt erst in einem zweiten Schritt zum Einsatz. Und was soll das bewirken?

How «Reverse Washing» works

This method works best for people with fine, thin or oily-prone hair – like me! My hair is quite fine, doesn't have a lot volume and tends to get oily quickly. Hair conditioner often makes this «problem» worse. When I use it the «normal» way (meaning after shampoo and in my case only on the ends of the hair) it often weights down my hair and causes it to look limp and get greasy quickly. The problem is, when I completely set the conditioner aside my hair looks (and feels) dry and frizzy. That's when «Reverse Washing» comes into play. The idea of this method (first conditioner, then shampoo) is that you give your hair the benefits of the conditioner, but at the same time ensure that you're washing it completely out, so it won't weight down your hair.

After trying it for a while I have to say: For me it really works! My hair feels lighter and looks a little more voluminous. At the same time, it's still nourished and shiny. Another benefit: I managed to stretch my hair washing routine from every second day to every third day (with a little help from my friend «Dry Shampoo» of course).

Wie «Reverse Washing» funktioniert

Die «Reverse Washing» Methode eignet sich besonders gut für dünnes, feines und schnell nachfettendes Haar – es scheint also wie für mich gemacht! Auch wenn ich ziemlich viel Haare hab, so sind sie eher fein und tendieren leider dazu, am Ansatz schnell nachzufetten. Aufgrund der feinen Struktur, haben sie ausserdem kaum Volumen und hängen ohne entsprechende Produkte schlaff herunter. Conditioner verstärkt den Effekt leider meist (auf die «normale» Art und Weise angewendet). Es macht meine Haare schwer, lässt sie schlaff aussehen und schneller nachfetten. Ganz auf den Conditioner verzichten, möchte ich aber trotzdem nicht, da meine Haare sonst zu trocken sind. Was tun? Hier kommt «Reverse Washing» ins Spiel! Dank der Methode (erst Conditioner, dann Shampoo) bekommen die Haare die nötige Pflege. Da aber der Conditioner anschliessend mit dem Shampoo ausgewaschen wird, bleibt kein überschüssiges Produkt zurück, das die Haare beschweren könnte.

Ich bin begeistert! Nachdem ich die Methode nun einige Wochen getestet habe, kann ich sagen: Bei mir funktioniert's! Meine Haare fühlen sich leichter und «fluffiger» an. Sie haben mehr Volumen, sind aber trotzdem gepflegt und glänzend. Dank der Methode konnte ich übrigens auch meinen Haarwasch-Rhtythmus von zwei Tagen auf drei strecken (mit etwas Hilfe von meinem Freund «Trockenshampoo» versteht sich).

Reverse Washing: A few tips

- Brush your hair before showering. It'll make it easier to apply and spread the conditioner.

- Make sure your hair hair is really wet before you apply your conditioner and when applied, let the conditioner sit in your hair for a few minutes.

- Very important: Once it's time take off the conditioner, don't just rinse it out! What I usually do is I water my hair for a second, so that it gets a little wet again and then I apply my shampoo and use it to wash out the conditioner. I feel like this way my hair looks and feels bester afterwards.

- Like with hair products in general it's hard to say which products work best. Right now I'm using the L'Oréal Mythical Oil range which I really like. Before that I tried the John Frieda Frizz Ease range, which was way to «heavy» for my hair, when I used it the «normal» way, but worked perfectly in reverse. (I feel like the stuff that usually is too «heavy», works quite good for «Reverse Washing»).

Reverse Washing: Meine Tipps

- Bürstet die Haare vor dem Duschen gut durch. So lässt sich der Conditioner einfacher verteilen.

- Macht die Haare gründlich nass bevor Ihr Euren Conditioner einmassiert und lasst das Produkt einige Minuten einwirken.

- Ganz wichtig: Spült den Conditioner nach der Einwirkzeit nicht sofort aus, sondern feuchtet die Haare nochmals ganz kurz an und massiert dann Euer Shampoo ein und wascht damit den Conditioner aus den Haaren. Bei mir hat sich diese Methode als die Beste herausgestellt.

- Wie bei Haarprodukten generell, lässt es sich schwer verallgemeinern, welche Produkte am besten für die Methode funktionieren. Derzeit habe ich die L'Oréal Mythical Oil Linie in Verwendung, die ich toll finde. Davor war es die John Frieda Frizz Ease Reihe, die bei der «normalen» Anwendung zur schwer für meine Haare fand – für die «Reverse Washing» Methode, war sie aber super. (Mein Eindruck bisher war, dass die Produkte, die sonst zur reichhaltig und schwer für meine Haare wären, sich super für «Reverse Washing» eignen).

Conclusion: I don't think «Reverse Washing» works for all hair types (especially not for dry or very thick hair). But I'd definitely recommend you to try it if you're a) very curious b) not satisfied with your current hair routine or c) you have (very) thin, fine or oily-prone hair. Of course I can't guarantee it'll work for you, but why not give it a try ;)

Fazit: Ich glaube, «Reverse Washing» funktioniert nicht bei jedem Haartyp (ganz besonders nicht bei sehr dickem oder trockenem Haar). Wenn Ihr aber a) neugierig, b) mit eurer aktuellen Haar-Routine unzufrieden oder c) (sehr) feines, dünnes oder schnell nachfettendes Haar habt, würde ich es auf einen Versuch ankommen lassen;) Ich kann euch zwar nicht garantieren, dass es bei Euch genau so gut funktioniert, aber einen Versuch ist es allemal wert, nicht?
Habt ihr schon einmal von «Reverse Washing» gehört oder es vielleicht sogar schon ausprobiert? Was sind Eure Erfahrungen?

Spring On My Lips: Maybelline Color Sensational The Blushed Nudes Lipsticks

Last year I fell in love in love with the Maybelline spring collection «Rebel Bouquet» (I'm still crazy about the shade «342 Mauve Mania», which has become one of my favorite lipstick shades!!) This year I'm all over the «the blushed Nudes» collection. I've already talked about the «450 Crushed Petals» top coat from the collection in a previous #ManiMonday post. It's time to have a look at the two lipsticks I got from the collection: «207 Pink Fling» and «407 Lust Affair» ♥

«207 Pink Fling» is other than the name suggests a light rosewood tone, a perfect everyday shade. «407 Lust Affair» is a beautiful of strawberry red/pink. I'm so into this shade, it's perfect for spring and summer! Both lipsticks have a light shimmer and wonderful sweet candy cotton scent (soo yummi!!). The coverage is good and can be intensified by layering. The lipsticks feel creamy and light on the lips and last about 2 hours, then they need a little touch-up.

Anders als der Name es vermuten lässt, ist «207 Pink Fling» kein Rosa, sondern ein wunderschöner Rosenholzton. Bei «407 Lust Affair» handelt es sich um ein wunderschönes Erdbeerrot/-pink. Ich bin ganz verrückt nach dieser Farbe, die mich richtig in Frühlings- und Sommerstimmung versetzt! Beide Lippenstifte haben einen ganz leichten Schimmer und einen leckeren Zuckerwatten-Duft, der aber schnell verfliegt. Die Deckkraft ist gut, kann durch leichtes Schichten aber intensiviert werden! Auf den Lippen fühlen sich die Lippenstifte angenehm cremig und leicht an. Die Haltbarkeit liegt bei ca. 2 Stunden.

Last week I showed you the pretty new «Matte and More» Nail Polish Topper by Catrice. This week I want to talk about the Ciaté «Snow Globe» Topper, which I got in my Ciaté «Mini Mani Month» Advent Calendar last December.
«Snow Globe» is a clear nail topper with beautiful holographic foil pieces, which create a sort of opal effect on the nails – absolutely beautiful, don't you think? ♥
The application is unfortunately a little tricky ... the nail polish is quite thick and the foils tend to stick together, which makes it a little hard to spread the nail polish. Working with very thing layers and building up the effect ended up working best for me:)

Letzte Woche drehte sich noch alles um den neuen «Matte and More» Nagellack Topper von Catrice. Heute soll um den Ciaté «Snow Globe» Nagellack Topper gehen, der sich letzten Dezember in meinem «Mini Mani Month» Adventskalender hinter Türchen 6 versteckt hat.
«Snow Globe» ist ein klarer Nagellack Topper mit holografischen Folienstückchen, die einen faszinierenden Opal Effekt zaubern – wunderschön, nicht wahr?♥
Leider gestaltet sich der Auftrag etwas schwierig. Der Lack ist ziemlich dick und die Folienstückchen kleben etwas zusammen, was das gleichmässige Verteilen des Lackes erschwert. Am besten in ganz dünnen Schichten arbeiten und den Effekt langsam aufbauen. Das hat bei mir am besten funktioniert!;)

A wonderful day to show your boyfriend/girlfriend, friends and beloved ones how much you care about them! I think it's also a perfect occasion, to spoil and treat yourself with a little something ... something like a little Valentine's Day manicure session!!;) For my manicure I'm going for the cute «All About Love» nail polish set by Alessandro (17.90 CHF /14,99 EUR), which contains 3 springlike and bright nail polish shades and a nail polish topper with red glitter flakes (round and heart shaped). Don't the shades look pretty? Not only perfect for Valentine's Day, but for the whole spring and summer season! Today I'm going for the pink shade called «Pink Rose» and a little bit of the «Heart Beat» topper

The cute little bottles all contain 5 ml (since I have such a huge nail polish collection I love these smaller sizes!!) and although they're small, they have a good pigmentation and cover easily in two layers. Besides a lovely shade they, they also give the nails a nice glossy shine!

Valentinstag – ein wunderbarer Tag, um Eurem Liebsten zu zeigen, wie sehr sie euch am Herzen liegen. Aber auch Euch selber solltet Ihr heute verwöhnen. z.B. mit einer kleinen Maniküre für den Valentinstag! Ich für meinen Teil werde mich heute mit dem süssen «All About Love» Nagellackset von Alessandro (17.90 CHF /14,99 EUR) austoben. Es enthält 3 frühlingshafte Farben und einen herzallerliebsten Topper mit runden und herzförmigen Glitzerpartikeln. Sieht das Set nicht toll aus? Nicht nur perfekt für den heutigen Valentinstag – die Farben gehen den ganzen Frühling und Sommer!! Ich habe mich noch nicht definitiv entschieden, aber ich werde heute wohl den Pinkton «Pink Rose» tragen und on Top den «Heart Beat Glitzer Top Coat».

Die süssen kleinen Fläschchen enthalten jeweils 5 ml (da ich eine riesige Nagellack-Sammlung habe, finde ich die etwas kleineren Nagellacke ideal!). Trotz der kleinen Grösse haben die Lacke eine gute Deckkraft und zaubern in zwei Schichten ein schönes Ergebnis. Neben Farbe schenken die Lacke auch einen schönen Glanz!

Berry Lips: MAC «Rebel» Lipstick Dupe

Hi Beauties,

I got good news for you: I found a great dupe for the MAC «Rebel» lipstick. And once again the dupe is from Wet’n’Wild ... (here’s my MAC «Creme de la femme» dupe from Wet’n’Wild). This time the candidate’s called «Sugar Plum Fairy» and it's from the matte line. So in when it comes to the lipstick finish, the lipsticks are not too far apart. «Rebel» has a Satin finish, so it still has a little bit of velvet shine. When it comes to the color I think they’re very close to each other, don’t you think? I’d say the Wet'n'Wild lipstick is a nice dupe and definitely good alternative! But there’s one thing I can’t stand about the this lipstick and that’s the packaging!!! It’s sooo annoying, since the lipstick’s longer than the packaging, which means you hit the lipstick with the lid all the time!! But price wise it’s definitely a better deal;)

Ich habe super Neuigkeiten für Euch, denn habe ich ein Dupe zum MAC «Rebel» Lippenstift gefunden. Und mal wieder ist die günstige Alternative von Wet’n’Wild (ich hatte Euch ja bereits mein Dupe zu meinem MAC «Creme de la femme» von Wet’n’Wild vorgestellt). Der Dupe-Kandidat heisst dieses Mal «Sugar Plum Fairy» und gehört zur matten Reihe von Wet’nWild. Vom Finish her sind sich die Lippenstifte also ziemlich ähnlich. «Rebel» hat ein Satin Finish, ist damit also nicht komplett matt, dem Dupe aber doch ziemlich ähnlich. Farblich finde ich, schenken sich die beiden Lippenstifte nicht viel. Was meint Ihr? Ich finde es ein ziemlich gutes Dupe und den Wet’n’Wild Lippenstift eine gute und preiswerte Alternative! Aber einen grossen Minuspunkt hat das günstige Produkt: die Verpackung, die extreme nervig ist. Da der Lippenstift über den Rand der Verpackung ragt, berührt man wirklich bei jedem Verschliessen den Lippenstift mit dem Deckel, was schnell in einer kleinen Sauerei endet. Aber preislich gesehen, macht man mit dem Wet’n’Wild Lippenstift natürlich ein tolles Schnäppchen!!

Maybe some of you already saw it: Catrice got a lot of new and interesting products – very tempting! So let’s have a look at two of their new nail polishes: the shade «112 Cha-KIRA» and the «Matt and More» top coat.

«112 Cha-KIRA» is a pretty lilac tone with a hue of light pink, perfect for spring!! It covers perfectly in two layers and has a wonderful shine. The «Matt and More» top coat has a nice lilac sheen, with a hue of very fine shimmer. Like the name indicates, does the top coat not dry completely matt, but has a pretty pearly satin-matt finish … a very interesting and beautiful «3D matt effect»!! The top coat is easy to apply and doesn’t leave any streaks. It does light up the nail polish shade you use as base, so keep that in mind when choosing your color;)

«112 Cha-KIRA» ist ein wunderschöner Fliederton mit einem Hauch Pink, perfekt für den Frühling! Er deckt in zwei Schichten und hat einen tollen Glanz. Der «Matt and More» Top Coat hat einen schönen Pearl-Schimmer, der leicht ins Lila geht. Wie der Name es schon andeutet, zaubert der Top Coat keinen komplett matten Look. Der Pearl-Schimmer ist trotz der matten Optik immer noch zu erkennen, was einen spannenden «3D Matt Effekt» zaubert, der mir sehr gefällt. My Beauty Hero For Long-Lasting Nail Polish

For a very long time I changed my nail polish what felt like all the time – not because I was bored about the shade, but because nothing lasted more than 2 days (not even Essie) – very frustrating!! Luckily I found a base and top coat combination, which changed my nail polish game and actually allows me to wear the same shade for about 5-7 days, which is an eternity for me. What sounds like an expensive miracle is indeed a bargain from the drugstore. The base and top coat I’m talking about are the essence «the gel nail polish» base and top coat. They not only help my nail polishes last much (!!) longer, they also give them a shiny gel like look! If you have the same problems I used to have, I’d recommend to give these two babies a try!

Lange Zeit habe ich meinen Nagellack gefühlt täglich neu lackiert – nicht etwa, weil mir die Farbe verleidet war, sondern weil einfach nichts länger als zwei Tage auf den Nägeln gehalten hat (nicht mal Essie). Zum Glück habe ich eine Base und Top Coat Kombination gefunden, die meine Nagelroutine von Grund auf verändert hat! Dank dieser beiden Schätzchen kann ich jetzt meinen Nagellack 5 Tage, ja manchmal sogar eine ganze Woche am Stück tragen, ohne dass der Nagellack gross absplittert ... eine Ewigkeit in meinen Augen. Klingt wie ein teurer Spass, nicht? Ist es aber nicht, denn Base und Top Coat kommen aus der Drogerie und sind ein richtiges Schnäppchen. Die Rede ist von diesen beiden Helferlein, dem essence «the gel nail polish» Base und Top Coat. Zusätzlicher Pluspunkt: Sie verlängern nicht nur die Haltbarkeit, sondern geben den Nägeln einen wunderbaren Glanz. Wenn es Euch mit Nagellacken also ähnlich geht wie es mir ging, kann ich Euch diese Kombi nur empfehlen.

After a moment of shock, I pulled myself together and went on the internet to find a beauty hack to solve this little «beauty catastrophe» and luckily I found one! Here's how I got my MAC lipstick back together ...

Wisst Ihr, was mir kürzlich passiert ist? Ich war gerade dabei Fotos für einen Blogpost zu machen, da bricht mir mein MAC «Rebel» Lippenstift ab!! Was für ein MAKE-UP FAIL!!! Nach einem kurzen Aufschrei und einigen Schrecksekunden bin ich sofort online gegangen, um eine schnelle Lösung für diese kleine «Beauty Katastrophe» zu finden und bin zum Glück schnell fündig geworden. Damit Ihr für den Fall auch gerüstet seid (ich hoffe natürlich, dieses Fauxpas passiert Euch gar nicht erst), hier eine kleine Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung ...

Ist Euch das auch schonmal passiert? Oder habt Ihr andere kleine "Beauty Katastrophen" erlebt?

How to fix a broken lipstick

What you need to fix your broken lipstick:

- a blow-dryer (alternative you can also use a pocket lighter)
- rubber gloves to protect your hands (Believe me, you don't want lipstick all over your place, I tried it)

Was Ihr braucht, um Euren abgebrochenen Lippenstift zu reparieren:

- einen Föhn (alternativ könnt Ihr auch ein Feuerzeug verwenden)
- Einweghandschuhe (ich hab's zuerst ohne versucht und hatte die Farbe plötzlich überall ;))

Step 1:
Take the broken part of your lipstick and heat it with your blow-dyer. If you use the pocket lighter be careful not to melt your lipstick. We want the end to be soft and a little molten.

Schritt 1:
Nehmt das abgebrochene Stück und erwärmt es mit Eurem Föhn. Wenn Ihr das Feuerzeug verwendet, passt auf, dass Ihr den Lippenstift nicht gleich komplett zum Schmelzen bringt. Was erreicht werden soll, ist eine weiches, leicht flüssiges Ende.

Step 2

Now carefully press the molten on the lipstick again and if necessary gently smooth the «scar» with your fingers.

Step 3

Now screw in the lipstick and the lipstick in your fridge for about 20-30 minutes. And that's it! These few steps helped me to fix my beloved «Rebel» lipstick! Now it's ready to be used and photographed again;) And I can already tell... you're soon gonna see this beauty again, cause I found a cool dupe;) So stay tuned!

Schritt 2

Nun presst ganz sanft das leicht flüssige Ende wieder an Euren Lippenstift. Glättet wenn nötig die Übergänge mit den Fingern.

Schritt 3

Jetzt den Lippenstift wieder eindrehen und für 20-30 Minuten in den Kühlschrank stellen. Und schon sind wir fertig! Mit diesen wenigen Schritten habe ich meinen geliebten «Rebel» gerettet. Dieser ist jetzt wieder in Verwendung und bereit, fotografiert zu werden. So viel sei schon verraten ... Ihr werdet «Rebel» bald wieder sehen, denn ich habe ein tolles Dupe gefunden! This pretty blush does not only look beautiful in the packaging, but definitely also on the cheeks! It has a nice (but not high) pigmentation, which instantly gives a fresh and healthy look! You can either apply the two shades individually (the flower tone on the cheeks and the lighter tone as a sort of highlighter), or you can mix them (like I usually do), either way looks beautiful! The Balancing Powder is lightly pigmented. All shades mixed, the powder balances out the skin in a subtle way gives a matt and sort of powdery finish.

Dieses wunderschöne Blush sieht nicht nur in der Verpackung umwerfend schön aus, auch auf den Wangen muss er sich nicht verstecken! Die Pigmentierung ist gut (aber nicht extrem) und zaubert im Handumdrehen einen gesunden und frischen Look. Die beiden Rougetöne können entweder einzeln aufgetragen werden (das dunklere Pink auf den Wangen, der hellere Ton als Highlighter über den Wangenknochen) oder wie ich es gerne mache, gemischt werden – beides sieht schön aus! Das Balancing Teint Puder ist eher leicht pigmentiert. Alle drei Töne gemixt haben ein mattes, leicht pudriges Finish und gleichen das Hautbild dezent aus.

What a beautiful palette: the rosegold packaging is a true eye catcher and I really like the eyeshadow color setup, which blend well with eachother.

The three eyeshadows have a soft and buttery texture and a great pigmentation – so does the eyeliner by the way! The application was quite easy and the eyeshadows easy to blend. Both products lasted the whole day (paired with my usual eyeshadow bases Urban Decay Primer Potion + Maybelline Color Tattoo) and still looked nice in the evening!

Mal ganz ehrlich: was für eine wunderschöne Palette! Die rosegold Verpackung ist ein richtiger Augenschmaus und ich liebe die Zusammensetzung der Farben, die wunderbar miteinander harmonieren.
Die drei Lidschatten haben eine butterweiche Textur und eine tolle Pigmentierung – der Eyeliner übrigens auch! Sie lassen sich gut auftragen und sind einfach zu verblenden. Lidschatten wie auch Eyeliner haben mit meiner üblichen Base (Urban Decay Primer Potion und Maybeline Color Tattoo) den ganzen Tag gehalten.

Ich finde die Dr. Hauschka Novum Lippenstifte toll! Sie besitzen eine wunderbar cremige und reichhaltige Textur, fühlen sich angenehm an und haben einen leichten Kräuterduft, den ich sehr mag. Zu schade, dass genau dieser Ton aus der Novum Reihe nicht zu meinem Hautton passt (er ist leider etwas zu bräunlich).

H&M Beauty News: Sneak Peak H&M Conscious Line

Hello Beauties,

When H&M announced their new Beauty line back in Maythey also promised a sustainable «Conscious» line (by the way there also launching a «Premium» line soon), which I'm very curious about. Good News! The range will (finally) be launched in selected stores and online by the end of March (I've already spotted the first products online) and contain all sorts of Ecocert-approved body and hair products like hand cream, body lotions or shampoos. Sounds good, right? ♥

I’m definitely very curious about the new «Conscious» range. The packaging looks great and the scents sound promising: «White Tea and Peppermint» or «Sweet Lemon» … yummi!

What’s your impression of the upcoming «Conscious» range? Which product are you most curious about?

Was habe ich mich gefreut, als H&M letztes Jahr im Mai ihr neues Beautysortiment verkündete! Neben den Make-up Produkten war ich besonders gespannt auf die «Conscious» Linie, die zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt lanciert werden sollte. Tolle Neuigkeiten! Bis Ende März sollen die «Conscious» Produkte in ausgewählten Geschäften und online verfügbar sein (die ersten Produkte habe ich online bereits entdeckt). Die neue Linie wird aus allerlei Haar- und Hautpflegeprodukten bestehen, die alle Ecocert zertifiziert sind (Ihr dürft Euch übrigens auch auf eine «Premium» Linie freuen). Klingt gut, nicht? ♥

Ich bin auf jeden Fall sehr gespannt und freue mich auf die neuen «Conscious Produkte»! Die Verpackung sieht ja schon mal wunderschön aus und auch die Düfte klingen vielversprechend: «White Tea and Peppermint» oder «Sweet Lemon» … lecker!!

1. Maybelline Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes «Creamy Beige 98»

When it comes to eyeshadow bases I swear on the combination of my Urban Decay Primer Potion and a Maybelline Color Tattoo. Besides my all time favorite «35 On and on Bronze» I've lately often grabbed for my new treasure «Creamy Beige 98». This matte cream eyeshadow has a wonderful shade, which looks good with both my matte and shimmery eyeshadows and makes sure they'll last all day!

2. MAC «Past Twilight» Fluidline from the «Stroke of Midnight» collection

This dark brown gel eyeliner has been my one and only eyeliner lately! It's creamy, easy to work with and stays on my eyes the whole day. What more could I ask for?;)

1. Maybelline Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes «Creamy Beige 98»

Wenn es um eine gute Lidschattenbase geht, schwöre ich auf die Kombination aus meinem Urban Decay Primer Portion und einem Maybelline Color Tattoo. Neben meinem Langzeitfavoriten «35 On and on Bronze» greife ich in letzter Zeit besonders gerne zur Farbe «Creamy Beige 98». Dieser matte Cremelidschatten sorgt dafür, dass der Lidschatten den ganzen Tag hält, und passt farblich perfekt zu meinen liebsten matten wie auch schimmernden Lidschatten!

Finally my NAKED eyeshadow palette collection is complete! And what can I say about this palette ...?! I love it!! The natural shades are perfect for my daily eye makeup!

4. Max Factor Masterpiece Transform High Impact Volumising Mascara «Black»

This mascara really surprised me! When I first got it I didn't really like it! But since the texture became a little drier, I LOVE it! It gives my lashes lots of volume (but not so much more length) and intensify them!

Endlich ist meine NAKED-Paletten-Sammlung komplett! Und was soll ich zur Palette sagen? Ich bin verliebt! Diese wunderschönen, neutralen Lidschatten eigenen sich perfekt für den täglichen Gebrauch!!

4. Max Factor Masterpiece Transform High Impact Volumising Mascara «Black»

Diese Mascara hat mich wirklich überrascht! Als ich sie zum ersten Mal in Verwendung hatte, mochte ich sie überhaupt nicht! Seit aber die Textur etwas trockener ist, finde ich die Mascara toll! Die zaubert ordentlich Volumen (Länge dafür weniger) und verdichtet meine Wimpern!

It's #ManiMonday, yeah! So let's talk about the newest «member» of my nail polish collection, the Maybelline ColorShow Nail Topper «450 Crushed Petals» from the «The Blushed Nudes» collection (7 ml, 2.75 EUR/ 7.90 CHF).

I have to confess, when I first saw the bottle I wasn't too impressed. But after I saw the first swatches on different blogs I was smitten! Combined with pretty pastel tones this light pink topper looks so pretty and spring like! The nail polish easy to apply and due to the good amount of flakes it leaves on the nail polish you only need one coat.

How do you like the «450 Crushes Petals» nail topper by Maybelline? What do you think of the pastel color combinations?

Am heutigen #ManiMonday möchte ich Euch das neuste «Mitglied» meiner Nagellacksammlung vorstellen, den Maybelline ColorShow Nagel Topper «450 Crushed Petals» aus der «The Blushed Nudes» Kollektion (7 ml, 2.75 EUR/ 7.90 CHF).

Ich muss gestehen, dass mir der Lack auf den ersten Blick nicht sonderlich beeindruckt hat ...!! Aber nachdem ich die ersten Swatch-Bilder auf diversen Blogs gesehen hatte, war es um mich geschehen! Mir gefällt ganz besonders die Kombination mit Pastelltönen gefällt mir der rosa Topper super – da kommt Frühlingsstimmung auf! Der Topper lässt sich einfach auftragen, und da er eine gute Menge Partikel abgibt, reicht eine Schicht in den meisten Fällen.

Don't you like to find new and beauty related brands? I definitely do! One brand I recently discovered thanks to the Online Shop biomazing is the brand Lily Lolo UK*, which is known for their mineral make-up. With my special crush for blushes and lipsticks it's no surprise I went for a pretty blush («In The Pink») and a lipstick («Romantic Rose»).

Wahrscheinlich geht es vielen von Euch nicht anders. Ich liebe es, neue Beautymarken auszuprobieren! Einer meiner Neuentdeckungen ist die Marke Lily Lolo*, die ganz besonders für ihre Mineral Make-up Produkte bekannt ist. Über die Marke gestolpert, bin ich durch den Online-Shop biomazing. Als Lippenstift-Suchti und Blush-Junkie war natürlich sofort klar, dass zum Austesten der Marke nur diese beiden Kategorien in Frage kommen;) Eingezogen sind das Blush «In The Pink» und der Lippenstift «Romantic Rose».

First of all ... isn't «Romantic Rose» a pretty shade? This pink/rosewood tone is a perfect everyday life shade! The consistency of the lipstick is very creamy, so the lipstick glides on effortlessly. It has a nice pigmentation and leaves an opaque look. I noticed a little tiny bit of glitter, which luckily doesn't show up too much on the lips + you can barely feel it. The lipstick lasts about 2-3 hours on my lips then it needs a little touch-up (drinking is ok, but it doesn't «survive» eating).

Ist «Romantic Rose» nicht eine wunderschöner Farbton? Dieser pinke Rosenholzton geht einfach immer – die perfekte Alltagsfarbe! Der Lippenstift hat eine cremige Konsistenz und lässt sich entsprechend problemlos auftragen. Die Pigmentierung ist gut und zaubert ein schönes, deckend Ergebnis. An dieser Stelle sei erwähnt, dass der Lippenstift ganz feine Glitzerpartikel enthält, die auf den Lippen aber zum Glück kaum sicht- und fühlbar sind. Die Haltbarkeit liegt bei ca. 2-3 Stunden (trinken übersteht er einigermassen, essen hingegen nicht), dann muss die Farbe aufgefrischt werden.

«In The Pink» is one of those perfect everyday life blush shades (just like the lipstick shade)! The pigmentation of this subtle pink blush is more on the light side, so over blushing your cheeks is almost impossible;) On the swatches you get a hint of sheen, which sadly doesn't really show up on the cheeks (at least not on mine).

If you like a very subtle and natural look, then you're gonna like this blush! If you're looking for high pigmentation and an intense color ... then this is not your blush;)

«In The Pink» ist einer dieser Blush-Nuancen (genau wie beim Lippenstift), die einfach immer gehen! Die Pigmentierung dieses dezent pinken Blushes ist eher leicht – die Wangen zu «überblushen» ist also schier unmöglich;) Auf den Swatches lässt sich ein leichter Schimmer erahnen. Leider ist dieser auf den Wangen kaum zu erkennen, zumindest nicht auf meinen;)

Wenn Ihr es gerne dezent und natürlich mögt, dann könnte dieser Blush auf jeden Fall etwas für Euch sein. Erwartet Ihr von einem Blush aber eine hohe Pigmentierung und intensive Farbe, dann ist «In The Pink» nicht Euer Blush;)

Kürzlich habe ich von einer sehr guten Freundin einen tollen Tipp bekommen und dadurch ein neues Beauty-/Hautpflege-Produkt für mich entdeckt ... ein Produkt, das Ihr ausnahmsweise Mal nicht in der Beauty-, sondern in der Lebensmittelabteilung findet: Kokosöl! Seit ich den Tipp bekommen habe, war ich fleissig und habe verschiedenste Anwendungsmöglichkeiten getestet und ich muss Euch sagen ... ich liebe dieses kleine Wunderöl!! Daher möchte ich Euch heute meine 6 liebsten Anwendungsmöglichkeiten für die tägliche Beauty-Routine zeigen!

Try to use coconut oil in your daily beauty routine

#1 Cuticle Oil

Your cuticles (and your hands) are going to love coconut oil! Just use a tiny amount of the oil and massage your cuticles with it. I've been doing this regularly now and the skin around my nails has never look better! It’s smooth, soft and nourished.

#2 Body Oil

Not only your hands but your skin in general’s going to love the oil. I like to use the coconut oil as a «body oil» after showering every now and then (instead of a body lotion). I recommend to use it in the evening, since the skin feels a little oily/greasy right afterward you applied it. But it’s totally worth it: the next day your skin feels soft and nourished + it smells delicious!

#3 Body Scrub

Want to try a DIY-body scrub? Then use coconut oil! It’s super easy: just mix a spoon of coconut oil with some salt or sugar ... voilà!

#1 Nagelöl

Eure Nagelhaut (und Eure Hände) werden das Kokosöl lieben! Eine winzig kleine Menge einmassieren reicht bereits. Meine Nagelhaut hat nie besser ausgesehen: weich, gepflegt und genährt!

#2 Körperöl

Nicht nur Eure Hände, Eure Haut im Allgemeinen wird das süsslich duftende Öl lieben! Ich verwende es gerne nach dem Duschen als Körper-Öl (anstatt Bodylotion). Ich empfehle, das Öl abends zu verwenden, da es nicht sofort einzieht und die Haut sich daher etwas ölig anfühlt. Aber ich finde, es lohnt sich allemal!

#3 Körper Peeling

Ihr möchtet Euer Bodypeeling selber machen? Kein Problem! Einfach 1-2 grosszügige Löffel Kokosöl mit Salz oder Zucker vermengen und schon habt Ihr ein tolles und pflegendes Körperpeeling!

#4 Lip Balm

Coconut oil is only makes a great body lotion alternative, it’s also a wonderful lip balm! (Similar to the body scrub you can of course also make your own lip scrub with coconut oil).

#5 Deep hair conditioner

If you have (very) dry hair you should try this: The day you plan to wash your hair, treat it with a coconut oil. Massage a good amount of oil into the ends of your hair one hour before your plan to wash them. I bet your hair is going to love it!

#6 Makeup remover

Coconut oil is awesome to remove eye makeup, even the waterproof stuff! (Works like for instance the The Body Shop Cleansing Balm). Just rub a tiny amount onto your eyes and then remove it with cotton pads. The oil’s going to «melt» your makeup away, so be prepared to look like a panda;) An extra bonus: since I remove my makeup with coconut oil I feel like my lashes look better and even have grown a little!! Sounds good, right?

#4 Lippenbalsam

Kokosnuss Öl eignet sich nicht nur wunderbar als Bodylotion-Ersatz, sondern auch als Lippenpflege! (Natürlich könnt Ihr wie beim Körperpeeling mit etwas Zucker auch ein tolles Lippenpeeling kreieren!).

#5 Haarkur

Wenn Ihr (sehr) trockenes Haar habt, solltet Ihr es mal mit Kokosöl versuchen und Eure Haarlängen und –spitzen mit einer Kur verwöhnen. Dazu massiert ihr eine Stunde vor dem Duschen/Baden etwas Kokosöl in Eure Längen und Spitzen, lasst es einwirken und wascht es danach gründlich aus. Ich wette, Eure Haar werden dieses Verwöhnprogramm lieben!

#6 Augen-Make-up Entferner

Kokosnussöl eignet sich super als Augen Make-up-Entferner, ja sogar das wasserfeste Zeug kriegt das Öl runter! (Funktioniert im Prinzip wie der Cleansing Balm von The Body Shop). Einfach eine kleine Menge auf dem Auge verreiben und mit einem Wattepad abwischen. Das Öl bringt das Make-up beinahe zum Schmelzen, macht Euch also auf einen «Panda-Look» gefasst! Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: Seit ich mein Augen-Make-up mit Kokosöl entferne, sind meine Wimpern gepflegter und wachsen besser! Klingt toll, nicht?

Pretty Spring Shades: MAC Huggable Lipcolour & Huggable Glass

I don't know how your lips react to the cold weather outside, but mine tend to get a little dry every now and then. Fortunately, there are some lipsticks out there, which claim to give instant and longtime hydration, make your lips look smooth and supple and give them a pretty glossy shine ... lipsticks like the MAC Huggable Lipcolours. Sounds good, so let's find out how they perform.

In my collection I have the Huggable Lipcolour shades «Bare Hug»* and «Sweet Creation»* and the Huggable Lip Glass «Love Buzz»*.

Zum Glück gibt es Lippenstifte, die damit werben, sofort und lang anhaltend Feuchtigkeit zu schenken, die Lippen glatt und geschmeidig zu zaubern und ihnen einen schönes, glänzendes Finish zu schenken ... Lippenstistifte wie die Mac Huggable Lipcolours. Klingt nicht schlecht, oder? Lasst uns herausfinden, was sie tatsächlich können!

In meine Sammlung eingezogen sind die Huggable Lipcolour Nuancen «Bare Hug»* und «Sweet Creation»* bei den Huggable Glass die Farbe «Love Buzz»*.

The Huggable Lipcolours come in a slim dark grey metal packaging and have that flat lipstick shape I'm not too much a fan of! The lipsticks have a gel-like and a little clingy texture, which I felt was a bit difficult to apply in the beginning. Now I'm getting used to it and know that the product needs a little time to smooth out on the lips. The lipsticks have a glossy shine and a semi-opaque pigmentation. On my lips they last for about 2-3 hours.

Although the lipstick texture somehow feels rich (and a little sticky too!), my two shades sadly tend to emphasize dry patches and definitely look best on hydrated and exfoliated lips.

Usually I prefer most lipsticks over lip glosses, but I in this case I'd choose the Huggable Glass over the Huggable Lipcolour, because I think the gloss is easier to apply (creamier texture). After a while the Huggable Glass and the Lipcolour however feel quite the same (somehow rich, but a little sticky!). The gloss has a semi-opaque pigmentation and a pretty shine.

To summarize it: The lipsticks und the gloss indeed give a wonderful shine and after they've smoothed out, the look pretty! But I don't think they're overwhelmingly nourishing (neither do they dry out the lips). If you're not into sticky textures (like me), then make sure you try it on the lips before you buy it;)

Die Huggable Lipcolours kommen in einer schlanken, dunkelgrauen Metallverpackung daher und besitzen diese abgeflachte Form, die ich nicht so mag;) Die Lippenstifte haben eine leicht klebrige Gel-Textur, die ich zu Beginn etwas schwierig aufzutragen fand. Mittlerweile habe ich den Dreh raus und weiss auch, dass die Farbe einen Moment braucht, bis sie sich mit den Lippen verbindet und ein ebenmässiges, glattes Ergebnis erzielt. Aufgetragen zaubern die Farben ein schönes, glänzendes Finish. Die Farbabgabe liegt im mittleren Bereich, die Haltbarkeit bei etwa 2-3 Stunden.
Obwohl sich die Textur irgendwie reichhaltig anfühlt (und leider auch etwas klebrig!), betonen die Lippenstifte bei mir die Lippenfältchen und die trockenen Stellen. Daher empfiehlt es sich, die Lippen vorher zu peelen und zu pflegen.

Für gewöhnlich ziehe ich den Lippenstift dem Lipgloss vor, aber in diesem Fall gewinnt wohl das Huggable Glass. Es lässt sich meiner Meinung nach einfacher auftragen, da es eine cremigere Textur besitzt als die Lippenstifte. Nach kurzer Tragezeit fühlen sich die Produkte aber ziemlich ähnlich an, was leider auch heisst, leicht klebrig. Der Gloss hat eine mittlere Deckkraft und hinterlässt einen schönen Glanz.
Um es zusammenzufassen: Die Lippenstifte und das Gloss zaubern einen wunderbaren Glanz und ein schönes Farbergebnis, sobald sie sich mit den Lippen verbunden haben. Ich finde die Pflegewirkung aber nicht herausragend, austrocknend sind sie aber auf keinen Fall!. Wer wie ich, kein Fan von klebrigen Texturen ist, sollte sich die Lippenstifte vor dem Kauf unbedingt am Counter auftragen lassen, um das Tragegefühl zu testen!
