I have to admit I loved school and homework. On Saturdays, I never watched Saturday morning cartoons with my brothers, I used to watch the local education channel that taught Math. Unfortunately, I don't see any programs like that anymore. Imagine my excitement when I found PowerMyLearning.org.

My son starts kindergarten in two weeks and I've been worried about his skills because he did not go to pre-school. For the last three weeks we have been working daily with the applications and games on the PowerMyLearning website, and I'm thrilled to see how excited and well he is doing. He even asks me "Is it time for me to do my homework?"

PowerMyLearning.org is a fantastic website designed to improve and maintain your child's academic skills. There are so many subjects and activities to choose from on various grade and skill levels, your child should not lose interest. I also had my 12 year old stepson practicing his Math and Reading. He has a tendency to forget many things over the summer and struggles as the new school year starts. This is a great program to prevent that.

Some of the games and

activities are actually links to PBS and Nick Jr. websites. I was thrilled to see my son's favorite so far is a PBS program called Martha Speaks. Each story is a new adventure with a talking dog, Martha and her 10 year old owner. Throughout the story, certain words are emphasized, defined and an example is given. He has already learned so many new words and tries to use them in his own sentences.

The program also allows a parent to link a child's account with theirs and provides reports showing the activities your child is using. Stop by their website, PowerMyLearning and take advantage of all it has to offer you and your child. It definitely put's the fun in learning.

It's usually very hard for me to find a comfortable sandal, yet alone a stylish one. I have so many shoes that I have bought because of their appearance and after walking in them for a period of time, they aren't so cute and rather uncomfortable. That is why I am so excited to share with you the sandals I've found made by a Swiss company named Joya. These sandals will not only bring you Joy when you walk in them, but also provide support.

I had the opportunity to review a sandal from Joya's "Pure" Collection featuring their Pure Sole Technology shown below.

I couldn't wait to try these on. The shoe that came in that adorable Joya shoe box was the Ibiza Sandal in Gold. They are just as cute as the box they came in. As soon as I stepped inside I noticed how comfortable and flexible they were. I was about to make two feet very Happy Feet.

The very detailed flower atop of the mid-section of the sandal is just beautiful. I was further excited when I saw the band was adjustable with velcro. It hugs my foot just snug enough and not too tight. My foot didn't feel like it would fall out. I have worn these everyday for a few weeks and couldn't be happier. They really are the world's sofest shoe. They are also a high-quality made sandal with great durability so they will last for a long time. I've worn them to work and to casual outings. They look great with anything and feel great with everything you do. These shoes were made for walking. And I'm not the only one who is in love with my Joya "Pure" experience.
