I almost feel like I should be writting some kind of mission statement about what this journal/blog/website is going to be about. That, however does not seem like something that I haven’t really worked out yet myself. It will be pretty organic in nature I think and who knows what it will include.

If I was to guess I would say there will be some thoughts on equipment, working with different people, lighting and I am sure to get in some little bits and pieces about travel as well.

I predominantly have taken photosgraphs of people in the past both with natural lighting and studio lighting – I enjoy this a lot! however more recently I have become drawn to landscapes (this is probably just an excuse to visit and experience amazing places). I have also started to dabble in a little bit of video work as it seems all photographers end up doing so I am sure there will be pretty varied content appearing on here.

I am lucky enough to use both nikon and sony equipment with most of the human shots on this site form the Nikon d700 and landscapes from the Sony Nex 7. I have also recently purchased the Sony A7r which is proving to be a very enjoyble camera to use and am sure there will be more about that to come.

So its not to dull here is a shot from a recent trip to New Zealand.
