I’ve been working with swedish singer and song-writer David Skog, who publishes his music under the name Ve, on several songs. You could already download and listen to Ve’s song “2:45″ including my remix hereand I’m glad we came up with 2 new original productions featuring David’s vocals. “Shoes Untied” could be described as pop as it doesn’t keep too much focus on electronic elements but instead making heavy use of guitars, rhodes and vocals.
“Sole Human” on the other hand makes more use of rather EDM-related elements, though still focussing on a piano track, heavy use of layered pads and rhodes again.
The third and title-giving instrumental track to this EP is “Let’s Never Come Here Again” which I had finished a while ago along with a superb remix by Matthew Adams. This is the slowest and most experimental song of this bundle – Similar to the original track which builds around several layered soundscapes and unusual drums and percussions, Matthew’s remix aswell is a rather calmed down approach with soundscapes, added guitar tracks and glitchy percussions. In contrast to that his other remix on this EP for the vocal track “Sole Human” takes a whole different direction, using simple and straight techno elements and thereby suggesting some use in a club environment rather than one’s own living room.
The whole bundle will be released on 16. Aug 2010 through a sublabel of Proton called “A Must Have”.

Recently i noticed an artist named Ve who had a lot of his works uploaded to thesixtyone.com and seemed a to have a large fanbase there. One of the songs that particularly caught my attention was “2:45″. I’m glad Ve was not only absolutely ok with the idea of letting me remix “2:45″ but furthermore agreed to feature his vocals in one of my upcoming tracks. The track itself still needs to be finished but I’m really looking forward to the result and it’ll be part of my upcoming EP. Meanwhile I worked on the “2:45″-remix which is now available as free download (and stream) in MP3, Flac and Wav format. You are also able to get Ve’s original version here:

After some time without updates on new productions there’s finally a new release. “Windowgazing” is a track that touches many genres – there are influences from classic breaks aswell as housy elements, all underlined by dreamy pads and quite a natural and organic approach when it comes to the drums and percussions. It is out now as part of the latest Summer Particles compilations, which also features new tracks by Matthew Adams, Cassino & Laben and many other upcoming artists. I’m glad to be able to provide this years “Hello Summer!” edition. Compared to the “Hello Sundays!”-mixes this one turns out to be less downtempo’d and is characterized by the approach to set a happy mood. Nevertheless you’ll find a wide range of genres featured within the mix – starting with Boards Of Canada’s shoegazing “Dayvan Cowboy” and developing towards the Classixx remix of Phoenix’ pretty much outstanding “Lisztomania”. Later the mix serves the cosmic disco flavours of Lindström and Aeroplane before climaxing in a personal favourite of mine: “m83 – Run Into Flowers” in the classic Midnight Fuck Remix by Jackson. Yes, if you collected all the other parts of the “Hello Sunday!”-series you may notice that this should be Part 5, instead of 6, however I made a mistake when writing the ID3 tags of the most recent installment (Part 4) and accidently tagged it as Part5 – in order to reduce confusion I decided to jump directly to Part 6 with this issue. Hope you don’t mind.

The mix itself features what you might expect if you listened to previous installments. After TV on the Radio’s classic song “Staring at the sun” as warm up the mix approaches to start slowly with layered, almost ambient-like tracks setting up a chilled mood. Later it progresses to some more uptempo sounds though always trying to stay within the spectrum of relaxing music – just to end with one of Matthew Adams’ new productions and finally Animal Collective’s experimental “In The Flowers”, which should easily be one of my future classics. Tomomi and me recently worked on a new song called “You Made Me Smile”. And besides the Club and Original Mixes, we are really glad to be able to feature a remix by Matthew Adams who is currently re-considering his musical style, which resulted in a quite different – yet amazing – work. While the instrumental club mix has been available for a while Proton released Matthew’s much appreciated dubstep remix along with tONKPROJECT’s remix of Benz & MD’s “Alternate Ending” today – Exclusively on Beatport now, later everywhere else.
