2013-06-12T12:09:00.006-05:00

After 2 years in Chicago, it is time to move to SF. Chvrches is my last concert here and of course it was at the Lincoln Hall. I will miss this venue!
Chvrches played two sold-out night and I have to admit the show was very pleasant. The trio from Glasgow played some refreshing "electro-pop" and the voice of Lauren Mayberry is great. The pictures of tonight and hopefully, it will continue next year from SF.

2013-06-01T11:44:00.000-05:00

2013-04-25T00:34:00.002-05:00

Clinic was at the Lincoln Hall tonight and I could not miss a band I discovered in 2002. While I am not a big fan of the last albums, I have to say that their set was very good tonight. Listen to the song below and go to see them live!
A small word on the support: No Joy that release its first album "Mexican Summer" few days ago and got a very nice review in pitchfork.

2013-03-18T01:07:00.001-05:00

2013-03-10T11:59:00.000-05:00

Citizens! is a new band freshly signed to Kitsuné. Five London boys who pen songs with a panoramic view. Warm, welcoming, traditional, as classy as marble… icing on cake they are produced by no one else than Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand). They rocked the Lincoln Hall yesterday night in front of a delighted small crowd. Future Monarchs and Grayshot were completing the bill.

Listen to "True Romance" while you watch the photos.

2013-02-20T00:06:00.006-06:00

-11deg Celsius outside, reaching Schubas was a small polar exhibition but which totally worth it. This traditional neighborhood bar in the north suburb of Chicago was filled with a great crowd and the small venue at the back hosted Marissa Nadler tonight. The American folk singer-songwriter Boston, was playing her last album with Jesse Sykes as support.
