This is the fourth year I have covered Pudleston Show, it is an annual favourite. I have seen some children come on in leaps and bounds over the last four years, some will no doubt ‘out-grow’ it, but there are always lots of new faces coming along for their first ever outing, some as young as three years old seem like old hands. The weather this year was not great with every body getting soaked in the morning. Anyway, the photographs are now online in the Shop area of the website. And to remind you all, you need to be a registered user to have access to that part of the website, just follow the instructions.

This was a new venue for the Ludlow to run a fun ride and almost 100 riders turned up to enjoy the day. Riding through a beautiful landscape in the sunshine is hard to beat, though there was a light shower later on. Pictures are now available in the Shop area.

Yesterday Jo & I covered the Wheatland Hunt Pony Club Show at Valley View, Broseley. The rain held of till later in the afternoon and lots of little people had a great time. There were various activities from Show Jumping to Fancy Dress and Handy Pony. Photographs from the event are now available in the Shop. If you have not already registered, you will need to do so to view the images.

Once again, it was raining at Tenbury, though this time it was only in the morning and the ground stayed dry. As usual there was a huge variety of things going on from the horse show to the livestock judging and parades of vintage vehicle and a motorbike stunt team. Lots of local and not so local traders had their stands and most seemed to be busy. We had a good day with three of us covering five rings and while it is inevitable we miss some folks, we did manage cover most of the horse classes. This was my second visit to Hay Show, set in lovely parkland a mile or so outside of Hay on Wye. It was a much better day this year with no rain and the turnout was very good. Lots of things going on in lots of rings, so sorry if we missed you as we can not cover it all, even though there were two of us taking pictures. Maybe next year as we are already booked do come again.

We had a very busy and long day at this event. The weather held for most of the day, though some of us got a bit wet later in the afternoon. Riders started jumping at 9.00am and the last one to jump was at 6.20pm. The indoor school classes were pushing the camera to the limit with the low light levels, and the very best low light camera available was being used in there. The photographers on the day were Pete Thorp (Indoors), Jo Martin (Int round 1 & Novice round 2) and myself (Novice round 1 & Pre-Novice). This was the biggest event Jo has photographed at to date and I think she did a first class job.

On Friday 30th July we covered the Pony Club Area 7 Show Jumping, at Solihull Riding Club, and yesterday we were photographing at Hay Show, Hay on Wye. I will be starting to go through the thousands, yes thousands, of photos taken over the last two days and getting them online here for you to view. I expect to have the Pony Club photos all done by Monday evening and the Hay photos by Tuesday evening. If they can be done sooner they will be.

We had a great day on Sunday covering the Ledbury Hunt Horse & Dog Show. A lovely sunny day even if the wind was a little chilly at times and strong at others. We were forced to removed all the sides of our tent to prevent it becoming airbourne, and this despite it being strapped down. It was a good day and thanks to the organisers for putting it on and asking us along. My photographers for the day were John Rose in the show jumping and Penny Barker covering everything else. Also thanks to Louanne Rose for helping out too. I spent the day manning the tent to trial a new bit of computer programming and it all worked well apart from people having to tilt their heads to look at the upright images on the viewing stations. Sorry about that, the problem has now been fixed so no more stiff necks. Follow the Shop link to find your gallery.

It was hot day last Sunday but there was a good lot of entries for this popular event. The cross country course has been reversed from previous years at looked very good. Lots of solid imposing jumps that rode really well. As usual, we were busy taking the pictures and they are now all online for your viewing. When looking through the galleries, don’t forget to use the ‘favourites’ option to build your own gallery of all your images, from all available events photographed by us.

We have also launched a new print product as seen here. It is currently available in two sizes, 9 x 6 and 12 x 8, and with either a white or black background as shown below. Just follow the instructions when ordering to choose your images etc.

It is a lovely day here, and it is my daughter’s birthday. I managed to drag her kicking and screaming out in the field behind the house to get a few shots. It was just a few minutes of fun.
