Good things take time, as the saying goes. We mature with time, and ideas take new forms as they evolve and grow. Learning what Producers want and need is essential to designing productions. I have been working on Transportation events providing a valuable experience for a variety of functions. I have also been working on Projects involving scientific research which give us valuable insights into our changing world. Trends should not be overlooked.

I am now writing this blog using an App on a regular iPod touch. Nothing fancy but it is impressive how everything is changing. I saw these changes coming and we now have to use them well, before it all changes again. But I've always said, change is good.

I was the Technical Director & Facility Manager of the Scott Block artspace in Downtown Red Deer from January - June 2007. I had a fantastic experience working there. I played an essential role in completing the renovations to the artspace and I would like to see it be put to good use. It is unfortunate that the All Ages shows could not continue in fall 2007 and also that Vic Nicoll's Metal shows did not happen as were in discussion. With the closure of the Arlington, as well as the struggling theatres downtown, the Scott Block was in a prime position to become the new active hotspot for live entertainment in Red Deer, right downtown on Gaetz. The management has not yet taken up the role of faciliating such an audience full time. I hope to put on at least two shows this year to feature Producer content and live Entertainment for $15 or $10 with a food bank donation or in advance. Occupancy limits tickets to 150 so email me for yours today!

The law of transmutation states that the stronger an energy force is, the more prevalent force will always succeed. So in essence our feelings and state of mind whether positive or negative, will add to the overall energy of the universe.When the law of transmutation was created by God, he/she designed it so that the stronger and more dominant thought will always win. And so it is on our earth plane at the moment, where we have a great deal of negative energy such as wars, hatred, suffering, pain, crime and disharmony.On the other hand we know through studies of the natural laws of the universe and other teachings that the earth was created in accordance to God's divine blueprint. This blueprint has everything loving, peaceful and caring embedded into it, which cannot be separated or destroyed by any external negative forces, even though it appears that it can.The law of transmutation says that "darkness is consumed by light" which means that any negative process, whether it's in the form of thought or energy, can be transmuted into God's loving energy. And because God's perfection, peace and love are embedded inside of every cell, atom and sub-atomic particle within us (as well as the air, earth, inhabitants and every living organism on earth) we can consciously change the negative energy as a whole.Now if you're questioning this point still, and thinking that you'd like social proof of whether things can be changed or not, here's an example: We often have thoughts that may not create a positive feeling within us, or make us feel good about other people or situations we face. Maybe there are some situations in your life that aren't as good as you'd like, acknowledge things as they are and then lovingly move into a space in your mind where every scenario is perfect, loving and in balance.Focus on how you felt in both modes of thought, and then decide to stay focussed upon the feeling that made you feel better inside (even if it's not reality yet). By doing this you will bring your most dominant thought into existence by the law of transmutation.So in summing up this lesson, try and keep in mind that positive affirmations will create positive thoughts, and positive thoughts will create balance, peace and love in your own life and the life of others. This love will override illnesses in yourself and others, disarm hate and negativity towards you (others who don't react positively will simply give up or leave your presence), and you'll know that your positive demeanour and vibrant energy will be going out to the world, playing it's part in a global peace consciousness.Affirmation: I am a powerful component of the universal force we know as God, and I have the power to change my unwanted thoughts, feelings and emotions, from darkness and hatred into love, peace and light. Tomorrow I am moving a couch into my office, and that will be the first step for me to organize my day. Sitting on that couch will be a way for me to relax. The only thing I can do here is lie on the floor, which is just silly.

I am now employed by CultureLink to run The Scott Block downtown. Phase 2 rennovations have to be done by March 31st. I'm super excited to finish this theatre and get it running, and have it running all summer. Once we get all of it set up, it will be easy to promote my digital portfolios. The Producer Access beta will be running, so will the Education Network wiki, and i'll have example portfolios on the site by then. It would be sooo much better though if it didn't hurt to swallow. I was sick yesterday.

345 Days Left

Twenty days down and nothing has gone as expected-- in fact things are better than they were to start out! My camera is working again, though my computer is still down. Kage is fixing it right now and I should have it back before the weekend is out. I'm working on final scripts for our shoots on Monday Tuesday Wednesday and then on Thursday i'll be in Calgary getting my passport.

We've got a screenplay based on the short story ChessMan written by Josh Bridge thats going to appear first on Darkflame.Ca. I'll be uploading it to YouTube and GoogleVideo, and submitting it to The Lot. More information on other upcoming films soon.

On Monday the new promotional registration form for 2007 will be ready for distribution. This will have information about Producer Registration, Darkflame.Ca Digital Portfolios, Business Registration, The 3Fe Project, Residential Developments and Studio Five.

Third Week Considerations

Thus begins the third week of Darkflame 2007. We have had three new registrations and the season production outlines are being finalized for our trip to The University of Calgary. We will be presenting this document to the following departments.

My video tower suffered another hard drive failure on Saturday January 13th but will hopefully be operational on this week. I will be completing documentation on Monday and Tuesday at The Red Deer College Library, where I will continue primary network registration for Milton, Kelly and Curtis. All network producers must submit their Spring production application before March 24th. Subscription payments must be made on time or penalties will occur.

As for this computer situation, i'm not happy with having to use this old computer to write this. I also do not have Darkflame.Ca update capabilities from this computer, and the sound card doesn't usually work. It makes a loud high pitch running noise while on, and its far too slow for me to be efficient.

I recorded a response to SMP Films today, but when I finished my eight minute long sharing on Ghosts I realized the computer had frozen at two minutes, and it hasn't started since then. I may attempt to make this response again tomorrow if I have time. I have a meeting with Josh, Kaitlyn and Kelly at Mongoli Grill at 2:00pm, and another with Kage at 8:00pm.

Nexopia is being very wasteful, i'm having a hard time justifying the amount of time I spend on there. I feel connected, but everyone is silent on there. I may need to limit the time I spend on Nexopia to checking messages twice a day. I'm unsure whether or not I will be able to commit to that sort of restriction, but to bring this concern to the conscious level will solve the problem because I will be able to subconsciously address the problem.
