The last time we went skiing was in grade school, we went to the mountains at Lake Louise, and Sunshine Village here in Canada. This included a week of being away from home, two days were spent sight seeing, and three days were spent skiing.

There is more to this post. If you don’t update your blog, no one will visit your blog. Its seems a bit obvious right? It does for me, but I don’t have time to actually sit and write things. I post alot of video (typically on YouTube) and that’s about it. The majority of my time is spent editing video applying effect, making transitions and all the sort of that type. I’m going to make a huge huge effort to start updating this blog more, and updating it with quality posts! It may not seem that exciting, butfor me it requires alot of motivation.

... Whether it be for work or play, it was PC all the way! (anyone else think that was a nice rhyme? OK fine.) About 2 months ago, at the time of writing this of course, I traded my beloved PC for an Apple iMac. My PC had the following specs: Nice black case (not a spec lol), 3.0Ghz dual core cpu, 4GB of DDR-2 RAM at 800Mhz in dual channel, and an ATI Radeon 3700 512MB graphics card. It was sweet. However, since I've parted with the PC, I've become more and more in love with my iMac. It has everything I need, built-in iSight camera for taking pictures and videos (it takes nice videos), the camera itself is very clear and state-of-the-art in comparison to the type of cameras they put in notebook computers. The engineering process that went into building the iMac was absolutely incredible. I think I'm a convert for life, there is no going back. Apart from the hardware, one would expect the software would be equally great, and Apple delivers. I must admit Apple's OS X Leopard does it all. According to Apple, it is "the world's most advanced operating system" I believe it.

I don't know if most people will call it a big city but hey, coming from a town with our population, it seems pretty big. The first day I moved here I found employment at a construction company. Among the first days I started working there, it seemed like hell on earth for lack of better working. I guess all places must seem like that upon first arrival. After sticking it out there for about 1 to 2 months, I was getting a bit uneasy. I searched the Internet day and night looking for other types of work. The only other types of work that existed in the city were fast food jobs, or jobs that required higher education. Since I was fresh out of high school, and did not want to work at the seemingly ample Burger Kings and Mc Donald's, I decided to stick with my current job. I had to always take the public transportation to work, which at the time I lived very far from the work place. I had to wake up at 4:30 AM just to catch the bus to make it to work at 7:00AM. Can we spell "brutal"? Apart from this, the first place I moved into was a basement suite. The place had a really nice rug. Apart from that, it didn't have much else. My friend owned a couch, table, computer desk, chair, etc.. I owned a computer and my sanity. So, having to sleep on a couch, wash your dishes in a plastic tub with water from the sink, keeping a very small food supply, being it was limited to the space of 2 mini fridges, it made going to work, or looking forward to it absolute hell. I was not happy at all. Then as time went on (we lived there for a month) my friend and I moved to an apartment complex in the north end of the city. The living arrangement improved greatly . I had my own space, own bed. I was eating proper meals and getting proper rest. The work situation even improved, I seemed to have a lot more energy and people at work yelled at me less. They didn't 100% stop complaining, but who is asking for perfection here? A few months went by and I met some really amazing people at work. We became friends, and shared a lot of interests, stories, and other things. About after 9 months of working at this company, it became clear that is was an alright place to work. I signed up for an Electrical apprentice program that the company had advertised, and it took them a full year to get me into the program. So I started electrical, and I had to go through this 3 month phase, before the company would actually indenture me. During this time the economy was in shambles (it still is) and things at work were slow. After the christmas break, when I was suppose to go to work, that would have marked the 3rd month of my electrical "trial" phase. Then I would be indentured and become an apprentice electrician. But, the company went bankrupt and all the working staff got laid off. Oh... sad. Be sure to read my next blog from what happened then on.

It is described by some as being vibrant, and with these people I have to agree. It seems whatever the weather will be, there is always some form of activity going on. That is to say within certain conditions. As temperatures can drop well below -20 degrees Celsius in the winter, the city can seem depressing and metaphorically cold.

After what seems a lengthy cold winter, the citizens of this city can finally shed a few layers of clothing and begin to enjoy spring. This picture that I took is of a place called River Landing. It is once of my favorite places to visit in the city. The scenery is nice, there are many bridges to walk across, and many places of interest that some people might find ... I don’t know ... interesting? I will most likely be hanging out in this area more often, not only because it is a nice place, but there is an ice-cream shop that is open during the summer season.

Its funny how there is one of those every week. I found it really hard to sleep last night, I had a lot on my mind. I'm still trying to figure out if I should buy some web hosting space, for my domain. I think I will actually, because there is really no point in having a domain and nothing to link it to right? I maybe just answered my own question just there LOL. Last night I made an iPod commercial (epic fail) if anyone wants to check it out its here.

Seriously though, who dances around at 2:30 in the morning when everyone else is sleeping LOL.

Today I plan to do laundry (although I don't really want to) because I'm running out of clean clothes to wear LOL. Since I'm unemployed, its pretty much routine to get up in the morning, (or late afternoon) wait for the postman to arrive, check the mail, check the e-mail, then check the temperature. My day does not get any more exciting than that LOL.

I'm just waiting for the laundry facilities to become available, (I live in an apartment building) so I can finally get a start on that.

That's pretty much all I have to write about for now. :)
