Tasha and Eric are family to one of my best friends Vivian of Alamance Party Rentals. So needless to say we were excited that they asked us to photograph their wedding. It has been a wonderful time getting to know Tasha and Eric as well as both of their children. The wedding and reception were held at the Double Tree in Durham, NC. The couple was able to have a beautiful lake side wedding and photographs done by the rock waterfall. It was a day filled with lots of tears, smiles and a little cake smashing. Thank you both for making us feel like family and letting us be a part of your day!

Kristy and Will will married last Saturday in the Great Hall at Castle McCulloch. What a delightful day we had with the two of them as we were blessed with some pretty blue skies to work under for their wedding. Our two favorite images came for our late night portraits we did in front of the Castle. Just to change things up, I thought I start with them. We were also very excited to get the opportunity to work with Faye from Coordinating Dreams, who did a wonderful job of planning and coordinating the event.

Matthew and Kelly | Castle McCulloch Jamestown NC

Matthew and Kelly were married last Sunday in the Great Hall at Castle McCulloch. Matthew is currently stationed out in Texas and Kelly came in early to help prepare for the wedding. A wonderful intimate ceremony with family and close friends. Kelly was simple breathtaking in her dress and Matthew was in his dress uniform. We had an amazing time with Matthew and Kelly and wanted to post a few of their photographs as they will be leaving soon for a new adventure when Matthew will be stationed in ... Japan. Biz Link Pancake Breakfast for Special Olympics

Biz Link is a wonderful networking group that meets every Thursday at O'Charley's from 11:45 until 1:00 pm. We believe in helping each other build our businesses as well as helping out our community. Last Saturday we held our first Biz Link Pancake Breakfast for Special Olympics. 100% of every ticket sold went to the Special Olympics thanks in part to the generosity of O'Charley's on Church Street in Burlington, NC, who donated all the food for the event. The O'Charley's staff and cook also volunteered their services as well as Biz link members were there to help support the breakfast. We want to thank everyone who volunteered their time and to all who came out and ate those yummy pancakes. Because of everyone, a total of $1500.00 was raised for Special Olympics of Alamance County!!

Biz-Links members donated many wonderful door prizes - here is just some of the prizes that were given away that day!

While there were a few storms the day of Karin and Tyson's wedding, the event was nothing but spectacular! These two chased the storm clouds away and danced late into the evening. Jennifer of Pine Lake Pavilion and Vivian of Alamance Party Rentals decorated the room, Jennifer also was the wedding coordinator for the event. The complete room was up lite by Simpsound DJ and Lighting Service. The DJ of the night was Aaron from Anything Music. Enjoy!

Yun and Ru's wedding was amazing - with so many little details that made up their special day. Jennifer Ball with Pine Lake Pavilion was the wedding specialist for this event. She did all the wonderful table set ups, decorating and details for the wedding. The flowers were by: Flowers By Gary who did a spectacular bridal bouquet which had red feathers as well as the rest of the flowers for the event. Vivian of Alamance Party Rentals supplied all the linens and the cake was by Buy Me Cake . Hope you enjoy the beautiful colors of their day!

Yun and Ru's Wedding day. The setting was beautiful Pine Lake Pavilion were the bride arrived by horse and carriage. Her beautiful bouquet was done by Flowers By Gary who did an amazing job with all of the flowers. All the table linens were by Alamance Party Rentals, catering by Culinary Visions and the cake was from Buy Me Cake. Complete Music kept everyone dancing until the couples grand exit. It was a very special day for them as Ru's mother was able to travel in from China to be their for their wedding day. The couple plans on going home to China to have a traditional ceremony where all of their family can attend. Congratulations Yun and Ru. We will be posting all the wonderful details of this wedding as well as Ru's Bridal portrait in the coming days..

Phillip and Kate were married March 26th at the Colonial Country Club in Thomasville. Many family members came in from out of town from California to Florida to see them tie the knot. They were also blessed as their grandparents and great grandparents were able to make it to the wedding. Hyco Lake | Karin and Tyson

It is hard to believe that 2010 is coming to a close as just recently we did our last wedding of the year. We are busy with album orders, client meetings, ordering holiday prints as well as catching up on the blog. I know I have been a bit behind and there are so many wonderful couples/families that we need to post so..

We are so excited to bring you Karin and Tyson's engagement photographs. They both love Hyco Lake and being out on their boat and they wanted to do their photographs somewhere that was special to them. Tyson took us all out to the spot where he proposed to Karin on Hyco Lake by the power plant. It was a beautiful day with perfect blue skies and just a bit of chill in the air but it was quite spectacular being with both them on the lake. We stopped at several spots on the lake and then went onto the camp grounds to do a few more photographs. Tyson and Karin are such naturals in front of the camera, they are such a fun couple as they laughed and teased on another. We are looking forward to their wedding at Pine Lake Pavilion in April, until then here are a few from their day! Ciao, Michelle

Our last wedding of 2010 - Lora and Brian... We meet with Lora and Brian for the first time in Durham about a week before their wedding. They are one of the most easy going couples you will ever meet. They wanted their wedding to be a celebration of their love with just family, close friends, good food and very relaxed. On the rooftop of Solas surrounded by those they love Perry Hardison performed a beautiful ceremony under a blue sky and perfect weather. Afterwards, it was really important to Lora and Brian to get photographs of just the two of them. They both were a bit nervous about taking photographs and if they would be able to look natural for the camera. Well one look below and you will see that they look amazing. Thanks Lora and Brian for choosing us and making this the best day for our last wedding of the year!

One fantastic church - Duke Chapel - one amazing venue - Pine Lake Pavilion and Meng and Dongtao - an awesome couple who loved to have their photographs taken = a picture perfect day! On October 16th, Meng and Dongtao were married at Duke University Chapel. Because of the limited amount of time they had - they decided to meet up before hand to get many of the photographs we wanted to do. The lighting at Duke is so wonderful that you could photograph for ever there (at least I could). Blanche Williams was our wedding director at Duke and she simply was a sweetheart to work with. After the ceremony we headed to Pine Lake Pavilion for the rest of the evenings events. Here are a few of the photographs of their day please don't forget to leave the couple a comment or two!

On a beautiful crisp Sunday morning we meet up with Phillip and Kate in Thomasville. We were truly blessed because were Kate lives is surrounded by a beautiful lake, a barn with horses, some kittens, dogs and many other little neat places in which to take photographs. We enjoyed spending the time with them and wanted to share a few photographs from their day. We can't wait to photograph their wedding next year at the Cardinal Country Club! Laura and Bryson had the most amazing day on 10-10-10. The weather was just perfect for these two. We started the day early with getting some hair and makeup shots at Laura's hotel room. From there we headed to the Church in Hillsborough for the wedding. Then we danced over at the Long branch in Raleigh! Enjoy a few from there special day!

While everyone is gathering outside for the bride and groom's grand exit - we love to let the couple have a last dance alone. I love this moment of the two of them!

October has been a wonderful month filled with lots of weddings, engagement sessions, open houses and meetings. We are busy working to catch up - we wanted to share a few with you from our October 9Th wedding of Kourtney and Chad. Their wedding was held at the Hillside Terrace at Castle McCulloch with the reception in the Crystal Gardens. The sun set quickly after the ceremony and Matthew and I literally had moments to get the shots we wanted. We had the most fun and found ourselves loving the new little places we found at the Castle. The Hayloft | Laura

Laura, a wedding dress, cowboy boots and the Hayloft - what a winning combination! There was no stopping Laura from going into some of the neatest places at The Hayloft _ In corn fields, on hay, on tractors, on top off old boxes. There is only one problem we had - we just (all) didn't want it to stop - it was just that much fun. Laura and her mother Debra have been a dream to work with from the moment we meet them - throughout Laura's bridal session we all laughed - joked and Matt and I did our normal stealing the bride from one another. Yesterday Laura married Bryson in a beautiful ceremony and we will be posting some of those photographs later in the week. We can't wait until next month for a trash the dress session. Laura, Bryson, wedding dress and two amazing animals in Laura's life - her horses. Until later... Ciao Bella!
