Sorry guys I know that I'm really slow when it comes to updating this blog but thats because I've been caught up with work, doing 3 internship & a part-time photography job is not easy. But I am definitely enjoying them alot. I've learnt and met a lot of amazing people in the industry in which I'm really grateful for. Also, I can't thank you enough for my two mentors Wiki Lee and Ilona Lee who have changed my life and passion for photography. They are clearly someone whom I looked up to a lot and so please check out their website and contact them for wedding photographies, videos and cinematography Foto Expression and Wiki Lee.

Below you'll find a series of images that I took at my first photography workshop with photo expression, it's not that great. But I can definitely see a lot of improvements. so let me know what you guys think :)

2012 Goals and Highlights

2011 has been a great year for me. I had the chance to travel around Europe, UK, Thailand, Singapore and Dubai. I got to meet some amazing people and start this blog which means the whole world to me right now. In no order of importance the highlight of 2011 are:

1. Graduation: Happily graduated from UWS after four years of hard work.
2. Travel: UK, Europe, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Dubai.
3. Blog: There was never a blog in my life, which I've commited to so often. But this is different and I'm planning to stay that way too. Have you also noticed that I have my own domain name now
4. Loss: One of the saddest thing that has happened in my life is when I lost my beloved Grandmother. She is a really special person who has taught me a lot and she will be forever cherish in my heart.
5. Marriage: My second Brother's Marriage. Now that everyone in my family has gotten married. My parents must feel content. Oh wait I'm the only one left thats not married.
6. Internship: I went to so many interview and met so many different people. I failed many times and at the end I realised that there is no way you can get a full time design job without experience. So Internship is the only path to success.
7. Drama: When through seven Taiwanese dramas. The best one has got to Love You 醉後決定愛上你 by Rainie Yang and Yellow Ribbon Love 男女生了沒 by Genie Cho.

My New Year resolution for 2012 is:

1. Happy: To be more happy and to be surrounded by people that makes me happy
2. Health: To be more fit and healthy. This includes joining a Gym, eating healthy food, wake up early, sleep early and eventually losing at least 5 kg.
3. Photography: To take more photos at least once a week and to start doing more freelance photography work during my free time
4. Blog: To update this blog more often and to share this blog around to friends and families. Argh. I should not keep this blog private anymore.
5. Job: Complete my Internship at Suboo, GDR and work experience with ACP magazines in September. Find one more intern, a part time job while doing intern and a full time job with a design agency after I've completed all the interns.
6. Friends: Make new friends, meet more people and have more connections
7. Portfolio: Create outstanding design projects that could be uploaded to Shinpurudesign.com
8. Colloboration: Continue to colloborate with my studio partner and make the brand "Akira&mika" go to live
9. Business: Run the jewelry business "Dusty Feather" with Sai and have people buying our products.
10. Travel: Travel to a new country like USA.
11. Creative: To be more creative is all sorts of ways.
12. Sing and Dance: Learn to sing and Dance better
13. Food: To try new restaurants all around Sydney and to share all the experiences here
14 Fashion: To be more fashionable
15. Beauty: Taking a better care of my skin and hair
16. Money: Earn and save a lot of money for future use
17. Love: Find my other half :)
18 Study: Study Japanese or French in Tafe

I can't gurantee that I would be able achieve all of these goals, but its a new beginning so I'm ready to work hard and to give it all my best.

This place is filled with tourist so make sure you go there early, otherwise there wouldn't be enough room for you to take pictures and yes if your wondering I was considered one of the lucky ones to get there before it was too dark because apprently there was a couple of tour groups from Indonesia and China that got there late at night so they couldn't see the tower clearly!

Monkey Magic - Surry Hills

Sorry I've promise last month that I would start uploading my travel photos. But apparently I've been quiet busy looking for work. Especially when the design community in Sydney is fairly small, it makes it even harder and much more competitive for one to enter the industry. Luckily I was offered an internship position at Suboo. I'm so thankful for this opportunity . They are clearly a bunch of wonderful and talented people.

Anyways lets go back to the topic today's blog which is monkey magic and please dont mistaken it as being the TVB series monkey magic because its not. Well today I had a little highschool reunion at this place called Monkey Magic and let me tell you the sushi there was delicious. Yummm! the ambience of this restaurant was excellent too. and I really recommend their softshell crab and their special Monkey Magic sushi. As for the dessert I'm quiet dissapointed with the choc fondant, its definitely not the best ones, but I love their ice-cream. Wish I could order five scoops of it :) Overall, I recommend this japanese restaurant to those that are looking for a new hang out place, but keep in mind that the food is a little pricey.

The Sim Social on Facebook

One of my friend introduced me to The Sim Social game on Facebook and I must say that they are very addictive. Trust me! you will spend all your entire free time there. Which is not a bad idea. I guess.So I'm currently up to level 102 and I'm still not bored of it! Crazy huh! I'm so addicted to expanding my land and buying new rooms. The only consequences is that you have to get help from your friends on facebook that also plays this game. For instances to expand my land I would need 15 contracts, 4 signatures and 10,000 simoleons which takes up a lot of your time because your not the only player in this game you have to wait for some active players to accept the request you have send them. The thing I hate about this game is the energy level, you kept having to wait for more energy. that waiting period is really annoying :( Anyway I'm pretty happy with the way my house has turned out what do you guys think of it so far? please give me some comments below :) and remember if your an active sim player too do add me on facebook but please send me a message first so I know who you are Thanks :)

Hi all, I really apologize for the delay. I've been travelling overseas for more than three months so haven't had the time to post anything online! but in this coming week I will be posting up a lot of photos from my wonderful trip to Europe and of course my home county Indonesia. If you want to know more about my trip check out my previous post, there will an brief itinerary of where I went and of course I need to tell you all how wonderful my tour guide was, during the trip he made a surprise stop for us in Austria. Gosh that place is remarkable. So classic and beautiful. I will definitely show you the place when I start to edit my photos. so meanwhile I will show you some of the photos that I took in Roma - Italy apparently some famous photographer and his crew was taking photos of these model whom was dressed beautifully in their wedding gown. I'm thinking they must either be for a wedding fashion catalog or for some kind of a wedding magazine. Who knows! but I guess I'm lucky enough to be able to blend into the crowd and take quick photos of these models without being scold at.

Hey Everyone! I'm finally back in Indonesia I've been here for more than two weeks and it feels great to be back at home :) By the end of this week I would be travelling to Europe and Dubai. I'm so excited to go there. Here is the itinerary for my trip:

On the 28-29 of August (Day 1) - I'll be going to Rome Via Dubai to visit the Colloseum, St Peters Basilica, Spanish Steps, Fountain of Trevi and also the boutique in Condotti
Day 2 - After Rome I'll be going to Pisa to see the leaning tower
Day 3 - Venice
Day 4 - After Venice I'll be on my to Lucerne to see St mark's Square, St Mark Cathedral and Doge's Palace
Day 5 - Mt. Titlis to see Ice Grotto
Day 6 - I'll be going back to Lucerne than Titisee to try the famous Black Forest Cake then off to Frankfurt
Day 7 - Via Frankfurt and Cologne I'll be going to amsterdam to see the Gothic Cathedral
Day 8 - Volendam to see Dam Square, National Monument, Royal Place and then back to Amsterdam to go on the Canal Cruise to see Klompen the traditional dutch shoes
Day 9 - I'll be going to Brussels to see the Manequin PIS and the Grand Palace afterwards I'll be heading towards Paris
Day 10 - In paris I'll be visiting IL De La Cite, Notre Dame Cathedral, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Arch De Triomphe, Gallery La Fayette
Day 11- I'll be going to Euro Disney
Day 12 - Day 15 I'll be extending my trip in Dubai

Cafe Cre Asion

The other day my friend introduced me to this Japanese cafe called Cafe Cre asion. Their cafe are renowned for their unique flavoured macarons! I would definitely recommend this places to all the macarons lovers out there! they have really nice flavours like "Green Tea". Which is my favourite because it's not too sweet! The atmosphere of this cafe is excellent, eventhough the location is not so strategic. The service, the taste of the food, the design of the cafe and it's packaging makes it highly commendable.

Hello! It's been a while since I last posted. I've been very lazy uploading photos but I have something interesting to show you all! I've finally got the chance to take pictures at the new Sydney Westfield shopping center in Pitt St Mall. Honestly I really love their high end food court. All the food looks so delicious you just don't know which one too choose! I didn't have the chance to try everything there but I took snaps shops of foods that I'm be planning to eat in the near future! So for todays trip I tried a pasta shop called Ragu and a Hot-Dog called Snag Stand. and if I wasn't very full on that day I really wanted to try the authentic pie by Mics Bake house

Flying Fajita Sistas

Last Saturday I went to have dinner at a little Mexican restaurant in Glebe called "Flying Fajita Sistas". The food is really fresh, nice and filling too! So if you are a big fan of Burritos you should definitely go check it out! Remember to make a booking because they can be quiet busy on the weekend! The nicest thing about their restaurant is that they have this thing called the "Wall of pain" Basically it's a shelve filled with 10-15 different kinds of chili is that you can try from and yes those chillies are really really spicy! I'm a big fan of chili and I normally eat really spicy Asian food! but this is the first time ever where I've realise that a Westerner food can actually be more spicy than any other Asian food in town:) and if you are just curios those chillies actually tastes like Tabasco except they have a much more stronger peppery taste! Sadly you can't buy them in Sydney. Otherwise I would buy quiet a few bottles of them and store it at home :)

Takeru Japanese Restaurant

Last week I also went to Takeru for a quick dinner. As a returning customer I find that their restaurant is still the same, the taste and the atmosphere has not change at all! The only thing that has change is their menu they now offer half size dishes! So lets say you want to eat rice but you are also craving for ramen. Now you can order half size portions of both the rice and ramen that way you can eat them all! Clever right! Japanese people are always so smart at coming up with these bright ideas to win their customers heart!

If you ever ask me to recommend you a cafe here in Sydney. I would have to recommend you Cafe No:9, it's situated in Pottspoint quiet a fair walk from Kingscross station but despite the walk its all worthwhile! They are an high end cafe that serves a fusion of Australian and European style food and let me tell you the ingredients they used are so fresh and unique that no wonder the cafe can be pricier than other cafes here in Sydney. My favourite breakfast has got to be their pancakes and Hot Chocolate! you might say what could be so special about a pancake or hot chocolate? Wait until you try this one, I promise that you will be craving for it over and over again! just like I did! and ohh! remember to check out their cool interior too I'm sure you will also love it.

Kobe Jones Birthday Buffet

Last Wednesday my friend had a birthday party at Kobe Jones and we've decided to order the all you can eat sushi and it was so delicious! So I wanted to recommend it to all of you guys out there who loves sushi. The taste is extra ordinary except when you have too much of it! you will eventually not want to eat sushi for a while! but seriously its better than all the sushi out there especially when Kobe Jones is an high end Japanese restaurant. Anyway to make it even better I reckon they should have a sushi and sashimi buffet too that way I won't need to stuff myself with all the rice in the sushi! :) also the next time I go there I can't wait to try there seafood salad and bento box they look really delicious too!

T2 Green Rose

Today I visited one of Australia's largest tea stores called "T2" they are famous for selling a range of loose leaf tea, herbal tisanes and amazing tea wares. The shop itself is very artistic and modernize, I love to simply go there and try their new range of teas. My favourite tea from their store is the Buddha Tears which was sold out so I had to buy another one of my favourites which was the "Green Rose" tea. Although the tea can be quiet pricey at times but the quality and the taste is high commendable and of course the tea would last you for quiet some times.

High Tea at Sir Stamford

Last week I visited a place around the Circular Quay area to have High Tea and let me tell you the food is very filling with just $44 in total, you get to have a three tier stand filled with afternoon tea with a tea of your choice and a champagne or juice. On the first level you were offered with an assortment of savoury sandwiches like the famous smoked salmon with cream cheese sandwich. On the second level you get to have a strawberry tartlet, cupcake with cream, chocolate mouse with cherry, cream pudding and finally on the top level you get to have two scones served with cream and jams.

I was surprised with the interior of the place it looks very classic and high class and what I find even more surprising is that there are rarely any men having afternoon tea the whole place is filled with women only unlike other high tea place where it isn't as obvious.

Yok Yor

Today me and Sai went to visit a new Thai restaurant on Castlereagh st called "Yok Yor". Honestly I thought the shop looked really nice but the food itself wasn't that great. I ordered "Boat Noodle soup" and it was tasteless so Sai had to reinvent the taste by placing some soy sauce and chilli sauce into the soup. We also ordered another dish that was recommended by the chef and it was the stir fry pork with rice and I thought the taste was a little bit better off.
The shop itself is still very new so over the month or so it might get better. So don't take my critics into too much of a consideration. However one thing I love about the restaurant is their menu I thought it was very creative and the details has been cleverly laid out. and finally one last negative comment about the shop is that it has a very poor ventilation we couldn't stop coughing as the chef was cooking. So hopefully this will be fixed sometimes soon.

Paragon Thailand

The second week when I visited Thailand. I had a small reunion with one of my Highschool friend and her name was Tarn. We had lunch at the famous shopping center in Bangkok called Siam Paragon and I had a great time there! Afterwards me, Sai and Misa had a tour around the central of Bangkok and then Tarn's drove us to her House! of course I have to say that I really love her room! It is always nicely decorated and the most amazing thing about it is that it has a walk in wardrobe! OMG I've always wanted one of them.
