February was a month full of birthdays and anniversaries. A friend of mine came over one cold afternoon in February and we had a lot of fun stamping. It looks like we were in the mood to use Gray in our creations! Love the Gray and Pink as well as the Gray, Green and Purple color schemes. My daughter even joined us. Finally......A new post!

I am almost embarrassed to post anything here as it has been so long. (insert sad face). But I guess that is the beauty about blogging, you get to do as much or (in my case) as little as you want to. It's not like I don't think about posting my new creations......cards, scrapbook pages, etc that I have made, I do think about it all of the time! Is it just finding the time to post them. I think I may have a solution to my "forgetful blog posting".

This year I have actually set aside time in the calendar on my iPhone and my computer to stamp. Each month the calendar in my iPhone or computer will give me an alert with a reminder that I have set aside this time to stamp. I thought it would be a good idea to count how many cards (i.e. birthday, anniversary, etc) cards I need to make of my family and friend each month and to also include that in my cell phone reminder/alert. So far it has worked! Maybe I should do the same thing for blog posting. I so enjoy making cards and mailing them to my family and friends. Here are some of the cards I have made so far this year. Well let's start off with a birthday card I received from a friend of mine. Isn't it LOVELY! I love the Baker's Twine tied in the blue button and the corner punched used on the actual card front and Whisper White layer. Thank you Suzanne for the beautiful birthday card. You made my day.

My January Creations

I was inspired to do my own version of the lovely birthday card I received and here it is below.

Then I got inspired to actually use the Butterfly Stamp set instead of the punch to see what kind of card would turn out. Gives it a different look - doesn't it. I couldn't help adding some bling to my butterflies. Quite often when I stamp a card I usually always make more than one. This is easy as if you cut a piece of 8.5" x 11" card stock in half you can make 2 cards. I usually make 4 to 6 of the same card, leave the saying portion of the card blank so that I have cards on hand for when I need them. By leaving them blank you can always add whatever saying you want at a later date. Give it a try!

Birthdays in January

Every New Year brings lots of birthdays to celebrate, mine included. I think that I have 7 family and friends celebrating their birthdays this month. :) One of my New Year's resolutions was to make cards and send them out. Below are a couple of birthday themed cards that I have created. Some of my first card creations for 2014.

You will see that the colour schemes are the same (Very Vanilla card stock, Bermuda Bay card stock, Crisp Cantaloupe card stock). There are also some differences, the top card has not been textured embossed and the bottom card has. The top card has an extra set of card stock strips and the bottom card does not. I guess you could say that the bottom has the "Step it Up" technique, using the same layout but stepping it up a notch (for example embossing).

Happy New Year!

I hope all of you enjoyed your Holiday Season and rang in the New Year in a memorable way! Wishing you all the best for 2014. I was a little late getting a start on my Christmas cards so at the last minute I ended up making some Happy New Year cards. The above card is what I made. I always have fun with the embossing technique. Whether it is using an embossing folder with the Big Shot or heat embossing with Embossing Powder, the results always make me smile.

What is your New Year's Resolution? I would love to hear about it. Please feel free to post in on my stamping blog. I have a couple this year! One of them is to send more cards out. :) I always start good and then end up forgetting or not sending them. Especially masculine type cards. So my Stamping New Years resolution is to send more cards to people to help brighten their day. Which means posting more of my creations on my stamping blog which then in turn hopefully inspires you.

Happy Thanksgiving Monday! I hope you have enjoyed some time with your family and friends for a big turkey feast this Thanksgiving weekend. :)

My next Christmas Card Stamp Camp is on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Below are 2 of the 3 cards we will be making. I hope you are able to join me for some Christmas card stamping fun. At this Stamp Camp we are going to make 8 Christmas cards (4 each of 2 different designs shown below) as well as 4 Occasion cards for a total of 12 cards. Christmas Card Stamp Camp - September 22, 2013

I know it is weird to read the title of this post and think Christmas cards already. If you are like me and want to send almost everyone a hand stamped Christmas card then you need to start this process early. Well...why not start in September! :)

Each year I host 4 Christmas card stamp camps and the first one starts in September. Below are 2 of the 3 cards we will be making. I hope you are able to join me for some Christmas card stamping fun. This year we are going to make 8 Christmas cards (4 each of 2 different designs) as well as 4 Occasion cards for a total of 12 cards. For the month of September the Occasion card is Halloween. We may have to revisit this theme for October as well as Halloween is one of my fav occasions! The Halloween stamp sets that Stampin' Up! has are so cute. Hello Stamping Friends and Blog Followers!

It has been quite a while since I have posted any creative projects. My stamping hobby has kind of been on hold for a little bit due to some hecticness in our family. I am happy to say that everything should be back to normal real soon. This means that I will be posting/uploading the creative projects I have made using the wonderful Stmapin' Up! products to provide you inspiration as well as hosting stamping events (ie: stamp camps, clubs, etc). The Christmas stamp camps that I usually host every year starting September through to December will be going ahead. I will post the details towards the end of July or early August. Bunnies, Chicks and Eggs everywhere....must be Easter!

Occasions Stamp Camp on March 17, 2013

Tonight I started preparing for my Occasions Stamp Camp that I will be hosting on March 17. Here are 2 of the 3 card designs we will be making. I got these 2 card layout ideas from Mary Fish. I visit her blog often for inspiration. She is one talented stamper. The first card uses the Patterned Occasions stamp set which you can still get for Free if you place a minimum order of $60.00 or more. I couldn't resist having an Easter card with my new "Everybunny" stamp set. This stamp camp is just in time to make Easter cards and yet still have time to mail them. I hope you will join me on March 17, 2013 (St. Patrick's Day) for some stamping fun!

Digger Fun Scrapbook Page

Happy Valentine's Day. You would think that I would have a "heart" themed scrapbook page uploaded today being it is Valentine's Day and all, but I don't. Instead it is a scrapbook page of my son playing on his digger.

The above scrapbook layout is one that I will be featuring at my February 24, 2013 Stamping Technique and Scrapbook Class. How this class works is as follows:

Stamping Technique & Scrapbook Class
You need to bring adhesive, scissors and two (2) 12" x 12" pieces of card stock for the base of the scrapbook layout and I supply you with the rest.

When: Sunday, February 24, 2013
Time: 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: at my house (address will be given upon registration)
Cost: a minimum $35.00 Stampin' Up! order
RSVP: by February 20, 2013 by clicking on Register me

I will upload the card that we will be doing shortly. So make sure you visit this website often so you don't miss that project.

The 12" x 12" card stock that I used above is Midnight Muse card stock. If you don't have this color that is fine you can use any color. If you do plan on attending my scrapbook classes I would suggest ordering the 2012-2014 In-Colors as I will be using mostly those colors as the base pages of my scrapbook layouts.

Remember the theme of the above scrapbook layout is just a guide, if you have a different theme that you would like to scrapbook please feel free to create your own. Also let me know in advance what your theme is going to be and I will try and make sure that I have some stamp sets that coordinate with your theme (if I own them).
