The pineal gland has been under study for centuries, yet science is only now realizing the connection to psychic phenomena. The spiritually connected, on the other hand have know about and used this tiny gland (also known as The Third Eye Chakra) to connect with information that is only available from a source outside of the physical, probably since the beginning of time.

These deposits can slow the Pineal function, thus creating a block in the psychic connection.

How To Create Your Own Custom Payment Buttons in Paypal

Do you use Paypal to accept payments?

What many of you may not know, is that Paypal makes it easy for you to use your own custom payment buttons and by using a button design that matches your website, you are building your brand!

Creating your own custom payment buttons is easier than you think and I'm going to show you three easy ways to do it yourself in today's blog!

But first, you will have to create the button.

The "standard" size for a web button is 88x31, but you can create your button to be any size that you'd like, as long as it is balances out well with the look and feel of your website and it is easy to read. Here are some example buttons to give you some inspiration:

Standard Paypal buttons

Be creative when it comes to your button! As you see, you can simply create a button that matches the colors of your site, or go all out and create a button that matches your logo!

If you would like to create a simple button that will match the colors of your website, I suggest you visit: dabuttonfactory. It's free to use and you can select your colors based on your website HEX color codes!

Creating your button at dabuttonfactory can also save you steps when linking your button to paypal!

I created the button on the left, so that you can get an idea of the quality.

Now that you have created your button, lets take a look at how easy it is to make it your custom payment button in paypal!

As I stated earlier, there are three different ways that you can use your new payment button with Paypal! For the examples, I will be using the drag and drop editor in Mind Trip Productions web hosting package, but you can do this in any website editor, so long as you are familiar with linking and/or adding html code to your website.

Option #1 - link your button image to the Paypal payment link.

Learning Level = Easy

This is the quickest and easiest of the three methods that I will be showing you today. Here are the steps:

1. Sign in to your paypal account and create/edit your button. To create a button in paypal, click on "Profile", then "My Selling Tools". This will take you to your My Selling Tools page. Once you are on that page, you will see a title labeled "Paypal buttons" and all the way to the right, a link marked "update". Click that link and then select "create a new button". Follow the steps to create your button and when you are finished, click to create button

2. Then Copy your code from the Email tab(IMPORTANT).

TIP - I like to copy and save all of my codes in a word document for easy access.

3. Log in to your website editing area and upload the button that you created, placing it in the area where you would like it displayed.

4. Link the image to the payment link from Paypal

5. publish your work and voila! you are done!

Here is a link that I just created using this method, that will take you to my paypal payment page to purchase a custom made button that matches your website for $20.00!

Option #2 - Use a button hosted on dabuttonfactory.

Learning level = Moderate

Remember how I stated earlier that not only is creating a button in Dabuttonfactory easy, it also cuts out a lot of time when it comes to hosting the button in Paypal! Here are the steps that make it happen!

Sign in to your Paypal account and select either create or edit your button following the steps outlined in option #1. In the customize button area, select "customize text or appearance.", then select the radio button that says "use your own button image".
Create your button in dabuttonfactory, only instead of saving the image, you will copy the link address of the button. to do this, highlight and copy the web address that is inside the box labeled "button"(see step #2)
Click back into your Paypal account to the area that you selected earlier (use your own button image) paste the button URL that you copied from dabutton factory into that, then click "create button".
Copy the code from the website tab (IMPORTANT)
Paste the HTML code into your website where you would like the button to appear.
Publish your work and you are done!

Option #3 - Create Your Own Button

Learning Level = Advanced

For those of you who are comfortable with creating and editing your own buttons, this is the way to go! I personally like the look and feel of a payment button that includes some aspect of the website itself. This makes the site look oober professional!

To do this, you will follow the same final three steps for option #2, AFTER you have designed and created an html link for your button image. Here's how:

1. Create your button image. Be sure that it is proportional to your website design and that the wording is crisp and clear. Save it as either a jpg or png file.

TIP - png files are great to use for images that have rounded corners or unusual shapes!

2. Upload the image to photobucket. Once the image is uploaded, find it

in your library and click on it, then click the "get link codes" button. You'll want to copy the direct link code. To copy, simply click in the bar and the link automatically copies for you!

3. Paste the link into your Paypal :use your own button" area and click create button.

4. Copy the paypal button code from the Website tab.

5. Paste the html code into your website where you would like the button to appear, publish your work and you are ready to take orders!!!

So there you have it!! Three simple Options to create stellar Paypal payment buttons for your website!

Today I am Grateful For...

Today, I performed a house clearing ceremony as well as personal clearings for the family that lives there. I usually do not do many house clearings anymore, since my business has shifted more towards helping spiritual entrepreneurs along their path.

Even though, my true soul purpose is to continue to build Mind Trip Productions business, It is still important for me to provide my psychic and spiritual services to the public - So I work out of an amazing spiritual center in Fort Myers, called the Mystical Moon.This way, I can continue to build the Mind Trip Productions name and still make myself available for psychic readings, intuitive hypnosis and personal clearings one day a week.

Over the past couple of years, I had begun to cut back on some of the other spiritual services that I offered and home clearings was on the list - but by the end of last week, it became quite clear, that for some reason, spirit had designated me for this particular house clearing. In fact, the family had been trying to schedule the clearing with a couple of other practitioners over the last two weeks, and every one of them had not worked out.

So I spoke with them on the phone and scheduled a home visit for this morning.

and this morning I got up and gathered my home clearing goodies:
Sage......check
Blessed Water......check
all other items needed.....check

And I was on my way!

Now, I knew this wasn't one of the best neighborhoods in town and had prepared myself energetically for it. You see, this family was desperate to come out of a tough situation that they found themselves stuck in for the past year and a half. Perhaps you've heard this story....the one that begins with a simple loss of a job and spirals into homelessness and despair.

As I turned into the neighborhood and made my way through, I was grateful that I had protected my personal energy & vehicle.

The neighborhood, was just as I had expected. Almost every one of the homes were unkempt or bordered up and the people peered at me with looks of curiosity and distrust. The energy was thick like a dense fog and if I had to describe the overall feel, I would describe it as territorial and dangerous....

YEP, it was just as I had expected...and then I got to the house. The family was so grateful that I was there and hopeful that I could help them "shift" the energy in their home and their lives. My heart broke in to pieces when I entered the house....they had been placed here by an organization so that they could have a home and get back on their feet....I wondered how an organization, who's main purpose is to help those in need, could send a family here and think it would help them get on their feet.

The wife had done her best to clean before I arrived, but honestly..how does one keep a home clean, when it clearly hasn't been kept up in years. and the purchase of cleaning supplies gets kicked to the back burner in exchange for food. A humbled father, hopeful mother, two teenage children and a baby lived in this tiny space...and they actually "liked" one another.....

Even if they had enough bedding for everyone, it wouldn't have fit in this small place and one of the beds was merely an air mattress that could no longer hold air and had been neatly laid out nonetheless, to mark the outline of a bed....and yet they walked around and prayed behind me that Jesus would protect them and bring prosperity and abundance into their lives.

At first glance, it would appear that his family had nothing. I'm sure that most of you would not venture through a neighborhood like this one..let alone walk into one of the houses. But I have to say that, even though it's tough - I think they have more than most, because they have HOPE. They have EACH OTHER and they count on each other to make it through this difficult time in their lives and I'm sure that they WON'T GIVE UP!

Today, I am grateful for the little things. I am grateful that I have a decent roof over my head. I am grateful for my clients, that keep me in business and help me afford simple things like food and household cleaners. I am grateful that I live in a neighborhood where I can walk down the street without the fear of being shot or robbed (or both).

Most of all, today I am grateful for my personal relationships and hold a whole new respect for them and I'm reminded that...

If you don't like your life, change it.

If you can't change it, change the way you look at it.

How To Cross Promote Videos on YouTube

This is a great tutorial for those of you who have created an amazing video and would like to share it on another YouTube channel or for those of you who'd like to share other peoples videos on your channel.

The Steps:

1. First, you'll want to sign in to the YouTube account where you would like the video to appear. If you haven't done so already, go ahead and create a playlist for the video(s). This helps keep your content organized and easy for your viewers to navigate your channel.To give you an example, I'm going to share some of my MindTripProduction's channel videos on a new channel that I am working on:

CREATING A PLAYLIST

CLICK THE PLAYLIST BUTTON, LOCATED ALONG THE TOP LEFT OF YOUR CHANNEL SCREEN

NEXT, CLICK THE CREATE PLAYLIST BUTTON

IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE PLAYLIST THAT YOU'D LIKE TO ADD THE VIDEO TO, CLICK ON THE NEW PLAYLIST BUTTON, LOCATED AT THE TOP RIGHT.

ONCE THE BUTTON IS CLICKED, A SMALL BOX WILL APPEAR FOR YOU TO ENTER YOUR PLAYLIST INFO. CREATE A TITLE NAME AND SHORT DESCRIPTION, THEN CLICK THE CREATE PLAYLIST BUTTON.

YOU DID IT - CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'VE CREATED YOUR FIRST PLAYLIST!

Let's get some video's in the playlist, so you can share them with the world!!

2. Once you have set up the playlist that will share the new videos, and while you are still signed in to that account - go ahead and search for the channel that you'd like to fetch the video(s) from. (you can also search for specific videos within YouTube, if you'd like) and share them into the playlist that you created.

Here's How:

TO FIND A CHANNEL OR VIDEO IN YOUTUBE, ENTER THE TITLE IN THE SEARCH BOX & CLICK SEARCH. YOU CAN THEN SELECT THE CHANNEL OR VIDEO FROM THE SEARCH RESULTS.

SELECT THE VIDEO THAT YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE BY CLICKING ON IT.

CLICK ON THE ADD TO TAB

YOU WILL SEE A LIST OF YOUR PLAYLISTS (FROM THE CHANNEL THAT YOU ARE SIGNED IN TO) CLICK ON THE PLAYLIST THAT YOU CREATED FOR THE VIDEO(S) TO ADD IT TO THAT PLAYLIST.

A SCREEN WILL POP UP TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THE VIDEO HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE PLAYLIST!

THE VIDEO IS NOW ADDED TO YOUR CHANNEL FOR EASY, BREEZY, PEAZY VIEWING!!

But before I share the details with you, I'd like to tell you about the events that have lead up to this unique blog post....It is an interesting story indeed;

A couple of weeks ago, one of my dearest friends and spiritual colleagues came down from out of state for a working vacation. The Spiritual Shop that I work out of is extremely successful and often times hosts psychics, authors & healers throughout the country.

She had brought another friend along for the journey and they both stayed at my home for a few days. We had a great visit and spent many nights reliving past adventures together and talking about the future of our business as spiritual entrepreneurs. I also eagerly shared the details of my new program with them and explained how it will change the way spiritual leaders do business and put them in the forefront once again. I explained how important a digital presence is nowadays and that I had devised an easy to follow program that allows them to capture their spiritual message into a digital platform....

My friend is eager to begin her journey towards digital enlightenment and we have already recorded her first class, but her travel companion had a different reaction to the program....one of FEAR! She said to me "I think it is a wonderful concept, but I'm afraid that if I digitize my products & services, no one will come in to my shop anymore and I'll have to close the doors"...WOW

So, I went back to my program development and lost myself in the project for a couple of weeks! Here's what I came up with. She's right in a way....because no matter if she decides to digitize her products & services or not, It's the way that the world is moving and growing. EVERYTHING is done on a computer nowadays. Clients book their appointments online, look up addresses and phone numbers & so much more! Why not be a part of this movement, instead of sitting in fear and risk being left behind.

Master Number 22

The number 22 has been showing up in my life quite a bit lately and since I am a firm believer that there are no coincidences in life, I decided to look into it a little further!

I know a little "sumtin, sumtin" about numerology and am well aware that 22 is one of the master numbers (witch means that it is a number that does not get divided down to a single number, like most numbers in numerology do) and that it is the number of master manifestation...The ability to bring the highest of spiritual endeavors into the physical, but like most of us who see this number pop up over and over in our lives, I wanted to know more...So I did a little digging!

And I came across this amazing website!

This site had all the tiny little details that I had been looking for and MORE! Here I found information on the number 22 as a life path number, destiny number, even gift suggestions for someone with this number!

And I clicked a little further to find what is called "Angel Numbers"..ok, I thought - I'm getting warmer!

Plan a special meditation that is heart and soul centered. Today is a day for the deepest connection to spirit. Anything that comes to you in meditation is sure to be inspirational and directed towards your spiritual growth.
Take a good look at where you stand on things. Is there an area in your life, where you could be taking a stronger stance or perhaps where you are taking to strong a stance? This is a good day to put a plan in place that creates a balance and harmony in your life!

Setting Healthy and Loving Boundaries

Enter the NEW YEAR 2013!

I was off and running straight out the gate!
I was on fire and in the lead of my own life...running swift, smooth, almost floating on air...
Finally finishing projects that I had promised myself I would do for years!
Things that I had put off for way to long and had set aside until...
Well, there was always an until in 2012!

But this year was going to be different, or so I thought - and almost as soon as I could see that bright yellow finish line, those who I have trained extremely well at needing me more that I could ever need myself, almost threw themselves in front of me, tripping me up with:

My life really sucks and I NEED you to stop what you are doing right now and help me!

So I paused for a moment...and with much love in my heart and peace in my soul said "I'm really sorry that I can't help you, but I promised myself that I wouldn't sell myself short this year and falter from my own needs, like I did last year"

and it feels good...really good! Much to my surprise, most people are fine with this response. The ones' that are not, I'm sure will eventually come around - but if they don't I will stay on track. Because it is so important to me to be an active participant in my own life...my own success.

I also made a important realization. I realized that when I do not set healthy boundaries, I am not actually helping anybody at all! I'm creating a detrimental block for both myself and the person I am helping by keeping both of us from experiencing personal growth.

Learning how to set boundaries was (and still is)my most difficult task AND the most important one for me this year!

I am still in the baby phases and learning, but it feels good to use this tiny yet powerful phrase to help me set healthy boundaries..

Try it yourself today! The next time one of your boundary breakers steps in, simply say:

"I'm really sorry that I cannot , but I promised myself that I would not and falter from my own needs like I did before."

5 Tips to an energetically aligned 2013

I don't know about you, but this year has whirled by me like A fast forward button!

So many wonderful experiences and opportunities have graced 2012 for me that I often times wished I'd had a pause button so that I could stop for awhile and savor them!

I hope that your holidays were also filled with pleasant memories of this year and that you were able to reminiscent with the one's you love.

As 2012 comes to an end, and I begin my ritualistic, year end cleansing, I find myself reflecting on this past years accomplishments and lessons. I am also preparing my home(the place where I spend most of my time), so that it matches my desires for 2013 on an energetic level!

Here are five tips that you can use, to create a shift in your home as well!

5 Tips to an energetically aligned 2013!

Clear the clutter

Many of us have adopted the practice of giving our living space a good scrub down in the Spring & Fall, but how many of us think to give the home a top to bottom clean for the New Year?

For me, a good old fashioned house cleaning has always followed the holiday season. It was only recently, however, that I realized the significance of my New Year tradition.

Make it your tradition this year, as you clean up and put away the holiday decorations, to give the energy of 2012, a special send off! Clean with the intention this year, that you are making way for new opportunities, new memories and a new energy to the sacred space that you call home!

You can even adopt some "New Year" cleaning traditions of your own like cleaning with special water that has been blessed, or even playing some fun and energetic goodbye music as you scrub away!

Clear The Energy

Clearing and cleansing old, stale energy is a perfect way to remove the energetic remains of 2012 and make way for the new!

I love to burn White Sage in my house on a regular basis, to clear the energetic debris. During my new year cleanup, you can bet that the newly cleaned home gets a complete smudge!

My preferred method of smudging is to begin at the front door and walk around the house in a counter clockwise circle, traveling from room to room. As I come to each room, I follow the same pattern by walking around the room in a counter clockwise circle and moving on to the next room until I am back at the front door again.

If you do not like the smell of the burning sage, you can use braided sweet-grass instead, or cut out the smoke all together by using a room clearing spray mist.

Set your intentions

What type of New Year rituals do you usually follow? For many, I'm sure that welcoming 2013 will involve attending a New Years celebration with friends and family, and that you'll probably make a resolution or two

I suggest that you bump it up a notch this year by creating your own personal ritual filled with focused intention for 2013.

A personal New Years ritual to set your intentions for the new year, do not have to replace your special celebration with family and friends. Instead, adopt a special ritual that you can do in addition to them. Something that is specifically focused on your goals for the new year.

You could light a fire outside and quietly reflect on the past years accomplishments while focusing on what you'd like to bring in to your life for 2013, or perhaps you could make a Vision Board and create your own unique work of art that proudly displays your goals throughout the year.

This year, I have my altar all ready to burn my special New Years candle created by The Mystical Moons very own, Crystal Childs! I am really looking forward to adopting this new ritual to set my intentions for 2013!

Set the mood

I like to use feng shui in my home to help create a healthy flow of energy throughout the house and During the time of New Years, I like to re-vamp and refresh the feng shui to reflect my intentions for the year to come.

Here are some of my favorite feng shui tips for smooth flowing chi, throughout the year:

Place a live plant in the far left corner of your house to bring abundance and prosperity.
If you are looking to bring in or enhance your love life, set the mood by lighting a candle (supervised of course) or hanging a crystal in the far right corner of your home.
To bring success to your resolution of weight loss in 2013, steer clear of reds and oranges in the kitchen. Instead, create a less stimulating environment by toning it down with light blues and yellows. This will calm the appetite, while enhancing the cooking and eating experience.
Be mindful to keep your toilet seats down, to help keep your money from flowing out the door.
These are just a few examples, use your imagination and have fun!

Put a plan in place, to keep you focused throughout the year

Whether it's a calendar that you have created, that outlines your 2013 intentions for the New Year, your vision board, or a special program that you subscribe to - having a plan in place is key to successfully manifesting your desires for the new year!

I have used vision boards in the past, and have had some great results with them, but this year I am eager to get started with Goddess Leonie's 2013 Create Your Incredible Year workbook, planner & calendar!

Autumn Greetings!

The weather here in Florida, is a bit different than the Autumn's of my past. During this time of year, my thoughts wonder off to the warm colors and spicy fragrances of New England in the Fall, and although I do miss this time of year in New England, I do not miss the warning it brings. The warning that the Winter months are coming soon and that the warm summer nights will surely fade with each leave that drops from the trees!

I look forward to my Winter here, on the beach and spending the upcoming Florida-Festival Season with the wonderful new friends that I have met along this journey!

For those of you who are still in the cooler States, I know all too well, the other ugly things that the cold can bring....and Dare I say it???

Things like Depression...lack of self motivation and lowered self esteem. The current economy doesn't help either, as I am noticing more and more of my clients expressing their concerns, as they look for work and do their best to keep a float during these tough times.

My parents have always told me that I am a true "flower child" and that I was born to late to find my true calling! The conversation is usually preceded with talks of me driving around in a Volkswagen bug, decorated with large flowers, dragonflies and such.

I could relate to that!

But as I hustle around this month, putting all of the finishing touches to my projects for the rest of this year, I am filled with energy and a new sense of who I am and what I'd really like to be when I grow up! As many of you may know... Mysticism, peace, love & harmony have always been my life calling(thus the flower child notion) and in the later months of 2010, the free spirited flower child in me, had an incredible spiritual message from the universe to go forth and share the love!

I did not know how I would share, or even where. I only knew in my heart of hearts that I had to leave my life as I knew it, buy a camper and travel the United States and help others to realize the power of their own mind.

Here is one of the video's I made while "on the road"

Long Story Short... The Camper I purchased broke down on the eve of my departure, So I was forced to take the trip in my car and I ran out of money before I could finish the East Coast portion of the trip..bummer right? WRONG! Some pretty wonderful things happened along the way, that ultimately led me to where I am today and that's exactly what my message to the world is all about!

I met and fell in love with my soul mate along the way. (If my camper was not a POS/it never would have happened)
I settled in FL...the sunshine state, where we are both close to our parents.(granting me the convenience of being close to my mother for her sudden/unexpected illness)
I now work with some of the most amazing women in the world, who are on the same path as I am! (This has also provided the opportunity for me to write my book and develop my Four Steps to Success Program)
I am now a full time flower child...helping others to realize the power of their own mind/worth and it is my FULL TIME CAREER!

When I sit down with someone for a private session, I am immediately connected with that persons higher self and am able to "know" their unique personality traits. As a hypnotherapist, this is a valuable tool for me and makes it much easier to help that person to create positive, lasting changes within the subconscious.

In fact, Personality typing is a tool with many uses. It's especially notable for it's helpfulness in the areas of growth and self-development. Learning and applying the theories of your personality type can be a powerful and rewarding experience.

There are many ways to find out your personality type, that do not involve the need for a psychic connection! My personal favorite is based on the well-known research of Carl Jung, Katharine C. Briggs, and Isabel Briggs Myers.

Carl Jung first developed the theory that individuals each had a psychological type. He believed that there were two basic kinds of "functions" which humans used in their lives: how we take in information, and how we make decisions. He believed that within these two categories, there were also two opposite ways of functioning, thus realizing four distinct categories; sensing, intuition, thinking & feeling. He believed that we all use these four functions in our lives, but that each individual uses the different functions with a varying amount of success and frequency. He asserted also that individuals either "extraverted" or "introverted" their dominant function and upon the completion of his research, he had defined eight unique personality types:

Extraverted Sensing
Introverted Sensing
Extraverted Intuition
Introverted Intuition
Extraverted Thinking
Introverted Thinking
Extraverted Feeling
Introverted Feeling

Katharine Briggs expounded upon Jung's work, but it was Katharine's daughter Isabel who was really responsible for making the work on Personality Types visible and putting it all together. The developed theory today is that every individual also has a primary mode of operation within four categories.

our flow of energy
how we take in information
how we prefer to make decisions
the basic day-to-day lifestyle that we prefer

And that within each of these categories, we "prefer" to be either:

Extraverted or Introverted
Sensing or iNtuitive
Thinking or Feeling
Judging or Perceiving

Is your head spinning yet?

Here it all is in a nutshell...

Our Flow of Energy defines how we receive the essential part of our stimulation. Do we receive it from within ourselves (Introverted) or from external sources (Extraverted)? Is our dominant function focused externally or internally?

The topic of how we Take in Information deals with our preferred method of taking in and absorbing information. Do we trust our five senses (Sensing) to take in information, or do we rely on our instincts (iNtuitive)?

The third type of preference, how we prefer to Make Decisions, refers to whether we are prone to decide things based on logic and objective consideration (Thinking), or based on our personal, subjective value systems (Feeling).

These first three preferences were the basis of Jung's theory of Personalty Types. Isabel Briggs Myers developed the theory of the fourth preference, which is concerned with how we deal with the external world on a Day-to-day Basis. Are we organized and purposeful, and more comfortable with scheduled, structured environments (Judging), or are we flexible and diverse, and more comfortable with open, casual environments (Perceiving)? From a theoretical perspective, we know that if our highest Extraverted function is a Decision Making function, we prefer Judging. If our highest Extraverted function is an Information Gathering function, we prefer Perceiving.

The theory of Personality Types contends that each of us has a natural preference which falls into one category or the other in each of these four areas, and that our native Personality Type indicates how we are likely to deal with different situations that life presents, and in which environments we are most comfortable.
Learning about our Personality Type helps us to understand why certain areas in life come easily to us, and others are more of a struggle. Learning about other people's Personality Types help us to understand the most effective way to communicate with them, and how they function best!

hello?...what do you mean, your working on yourself?

I've learned first hand how difficult divorce can be. In fact, I am quite surprised at myself, as I write this blog post....I write something, then hit bkSp...bkSp...etc. Then I write something else, then hit bkSp...bkSp...etc. you get the picture.

I thought I would begin by telling you how wonderful that I thought my life was when I was married. Figured I'd let you know how active my three children were in sports and social activities and how much I enjoyed being the best mother that I possibly could to them. Then I was going to share my sweet memories of family and household...

But that is a distant memory...and a really bad one at that. The fact of the matter is that I spent twelve years "faking" a happy family scenario, Pretending that I was living the dream, while the whole time (behind the scenes of course) I was barely keeping it together. I spent most of those years hiding my husbands sociopath personality and his long term battle with addiction.

During our tenth year of marriage, I really believed that we had made it through the tough stuff and that life was getting on track. Boy, my intuition was WAY off on that one. As it turned out, I could not have been further from the truth and the only thing that had changed was that my husband had finally mastered the art of hiding it from me....completely.

His addiction problem had escalated to cocaine and heroin use - on a daily basis! he had a separate life during the day, complete with an apartment, girlfriend and loads of addicted friends to share his time with. In the evening, he would come home to us, his family...late at night of course, claiming that his business had kept him working late again.

My life had turned into a made for television daytime movie and I'm sure that you are thinking that I walked away at that very moment! I didn't...I couldn't, because for some unexplained reason, I was frozen with fear!

I spent the next two years doing everything in my power to save my husband from this dis-ease! I took a fast track doctorate class on Natural Medicine and Chinese Herbology...Received my Reiki I, II and master certification...Went to al-anon, narc-anon, AA, and NA.

I prepared herbal formulas for him
I performed Reiki on him
I went to so many meetings that I had myself convinced that I was an addict!

None of it worked, and as the relationship continued to spiral out of control, my family continued to fall apart and my friends walked away for fear of watching me slowly wither into a pile of nothing, I decided to make one last ditch effort towards saving this man and our family.

I had decided to become a hypnotherapist.

This would surely help, I thought to myself. I could then hypnotize him to quit drugs and learn to love us!

Did you know that you can become a clinical Hypnotherapist in one weekend? It's quite costly and you have to stay in a hotel for the entire weekend, with classes all day and studying into the wee hours of the night! If that isn't enough, you have to pass a grueling exam! It is quite a feat, but if you are determined, It can be done!

I spent that weekend, absorbing every inch of information into every cell of my being - after all, it was my last chance to save my husband and get things back to "normal" and I was determined to walk away with the answers. During that intense weekend of study, I learned the practical applications of hypnosis, what it is, how it works and how to hypnotize someone!

This weekend also involved practical application of every technique available! I performed hypnosis and received hypnosis over and over again. It wasn't until the end of the last day, that I had my big "AHA" moment. Our instructor, as she probably did at the end of every class, said that it was important for us to clear up anything that is blocking us from our true potential. It was important because, if we were going to be helping others to break free from the emotional bonds that keep them stuck, we should be free of our own emotional bonds - so that we could be the best we could be.

I walked away from that session with a strange sense of inner peace. It felt "weird" to me, I think because I had never felt inner peace before that moment. I has also realized that all the work that I had been doing over the past two years wasn't meant for my husband...It was meant for me!

I also knew that it was time for me to move on and walk away! I went home, told my husband that I thought it would be best if we went our separate ways. I spoke calmly and effectively and although it was a tough and dangerous divorce, I never looked back!

That was eleven years ago and I have spent those years helping others to realize the power of their own worth and the freedom that forgiveness has to offer, by helping them change their own thought patterns through hypnosis. I speak publicly on the subject and conduct TeleClasses(most of which are free). I also have written and recorded dozens of hypnosis CD's and mp3's! My recordings have been sold throughout the world and I am honored to hear the success stories from those who have had profound results with my help!

I am grateful for this profound life experience and I am thankful to my now ex-husband for sending me in the right direction! If it weren't for him, I would have not learned, or grown so much as a person!

Hula Hooping is a great way to exercize the body and it is easy to learn! I spent an entire year watching others hula hoop, while drooling over the posibility of doing it myself - thinking that I could not. My first lesson was only 10 days prior to this photo and my lesson was approximately 3 minutes in length!. What's the secret? It's all in the way you move your body and using a weighted hoop that is large in diameter. This combination makes for slower, more sensual movements and is a great way to tighten the stomach, legs and hips. I now hoop all the time - it is my personal time with my thoughts...a special time for me to connect with my body and mind! I have been able to "work out" more than just my body while hula hooping -

It took me many years to figure that one out for myself...

The story of how I acquired my first deck, is still debatable according to my parents. So I will tell it as I remember it, and as I have told it many times before. I was twelve years old and I remember looking up into the dining room closet - yes, I said Dining Room Closet!. Our dining room, as did many of the older New England style homes, had a closet. This closet in days gone by had been used to house extra dinner plates, linens and such. Ours contained a television that my Dad had wired up for cable and had shelves above the television, for all of his computer programming reference material and books. So... I am looking up at the books for some reason, and there, shining brightly for me to see, is the "Tarot Cards for Fun and Fortune Telling" Tarot box set! It looked so cool...so mysterious.

I knew it contained a tarot deck...As I remember it, my aunt had given the box set to my parents as a holiday gift. Aunt Dottie was a gifted reader and spiritualist. In my eyes, she was the 1970's version of a gypsy...tall, thin, long dark hair and mysterious eyes that seemed to look right into your soul. Whenever my mother and aunts would get together, Aunt Dottie would read for them and teach them how to read for themselves.

I would listen in on those mystical meetings of the sisters...Listen and learn all that I could. Aunt Dottie would tell them how and where to acquire a Tarot Deck...how to store it and keep it free from negative energy. She would explain each cards meaning as it was laid out in their individual spread and I would listen...absorbing all the information that I could, for that one special day that I had a deck of my own to read from.

And, as I looked up at this brand new, unopened box kit...I knew that today was the day! The day that I would have these magickal cards for my very own. How do I convince my parents that I must have this deck? I asked myself. After all, it was not gifted to me. It did not belong to me! Surely, they know the value of the magick and mystery that lies within them and surely, they will not part with them!

Before I could begin to reason this out in my mind, I had reached up, snagged the box from it's hiding place and ran excitedly to my parents yelling "Mom...Dad...can I have these? Can I? Can I?..Huh Huh?" (ahhh...the wonders of being twelve and impulsive!)

Much to my surprise, they nonchalantly answered..............yes

And thus began my Tarot career

IJJ Swiss Tarot

I was so excited that I barely remember opening the package, which contained a hardcover book and Tarot Deck. The IJJ Swiss Tarot Deck, to be exact! All of the cards in this deck are in French and at my impressionable age, I mastered the language in no time! Who knows, it may come in handy someday when I am looking for the mansion of destruction in France!

I read the book(which was written in English - thank goodness!) from front to back and followed along as any good student would. Following each step, just as the book described. I studied and I learned. I kept my cards safe from negative energies by wrapping them in a blue boy scout scarf. (note to self: where did that scarf come from? I must have borrowed it from my brother, perhaps?")

Finally the time came for me to give readings! I would read for my brother, my sister and my friends. By the time I reached High school, I had built a following that would advance my career to a professional level! Well, at least in my eyes it was professional.

You see, I would read for one or two schoolmates in the cafeteria, during lunch - whoever had scheduled a reading with me that day- and I would charge them a slice of pizza and fries!(or enough money to purchase lunch for myself).

Most of the questions asked were about relationships and classes and included questions like; "does he/she like me?", "Will we break up?", and "What will happen if I drop/take this class?". My most memorable High school cafeteria reading was a reading that I did for a friend who was in a long term relationship. You know... the couple that had been together through all of high school and were destined to last forever? We were at the end of senior year and I pulled the pregnancy card! They both responded with a bold...NO WAY, you are so wrong Michelle!

Well, as it turned out, they were pregnant and knew it! I ran into them shortly after graduation and they both confessed to me that they were in fact going to have a baby and planned to be married, but didn't want anyone to know until after graduation. Oooops! I sometimes wonder how they are doing today and if they remember the reading as vividly as I do.

After High school, I would continue to read cards along side my full time job as a hairdresser. Some readings would be for free, others for a small fee and my early years would include the occasional Tarot party or two.

I now read and teach as a full time professional in the field - along with other sorted intuitive products and services and my heart is filled with gratitude as I look back at the memories of a nosy little twelve year old!

I've had my share of bad relationships and I must say it is refreshing to be involved in one now, that is based on mutual respect and a deep love for one another!

I'd like to share an email that I received many years ago, that helped me to "shift" my expectations of what a relationship should be. I hope you find it as inspirational as I did (and still do!)

If a person really wants you, nothing can keep them away - If they do not want you, nothing can make them stay.
Stop making excuses for a lovers behavior.
Allow your intuition(or spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.
Slower is better.
Never live your life for someone else before you find what truly makes you happy.
If a relationship ends because the other person was not treating you as you deserve then heck no!, you can't "be friends" a friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.
Don't settle. If you feel like someone is stringing you along, then they probably are.
Don't stay because you think "it will get better". You'll only be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
Always have your own separate set of friends.
Maintain boundaries in how others treat you.
If something bothers you, speak up.
You cannot change other people's behavior. Change comes from within.
Don't EVER let someone else define who you are.
A person will only treat you the way you ALLOW them to treat you.
Compromise is a two way street.
Take time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about baggage. Deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.
You should never look for someone to complete you...a relationship consists of two whole individuals...look for someone complimentary...not supplementary.
Dating can be fun...even if they do not turn out to be the right one for you.
Always remember that you are an amazing individual who brings some pretty amazing dynamics to a relationship!
