Oil Free Moisturiser

Nivea - Oil Free Moisturising Day cream

For those of us with oily skin this is a good moisturiser to use, my review on this product is it makes the skin soft, does not clog pores and reduces the shine but does not stop it. It helps the makeup stay put in one place and it makes it look smoother on the skin. Though it reduces the shine the skin does get oily if you don't use a primer so make sure you do use a primer with this product. Overall it gets a 3.5 star rating, You get what you paid for!

I love it when a fellow female wears a fragrance that smells sweet, fruity and feminine during the summer. It brings a sense of freshness and as females we do have a desire to smell good all day long. I love perfumes but during the summer I tend to prefer the fragrance body splashes or fragrance body mists as they are light on the scent, light on your clothes and light of your skin too, compared to perfumes I think body fragrance mists give a refreshing feeling that lasts all day long. Today has been an absolutely wonderful day of relaxation, with beautiful weather and a refreshing glass of cold water topped of with a slice of lemon, which I may say is good for the skin especially in this hot weather. As promised here is the review on my red nail paint which is the beauty uk red nail polish. This nail polish came in the gift set called 'wild child' though I'm not too excited by the name the the collection has lived up to expectation. The colour is amazing and the quality of the polish is pretty good. This nail paint gets a 4 star rating from me because of the popping colour, but the quality there is still room for improvement but overall I do recommend you get this gift set, and try it out.

This nail polish is from beautyuk and was bought from superdrug. My review on this nail polish is, it's a very bright colour, great for the summer and the quality of the nail polish is pretty good. The thing that makes this nail polish is the performance of the colour very bright and a good shade of yellow. Overall it gets a 3.5 star rating form me.

Today's blog post is on this great summer orange nail polish. The nail polish is from Gabrini and it's the summer edition collection in the colour M113. I bought the nail polish from an Afro Caribbean hair shop at the price of £1.99. The quality of this nail polish is absolutely amazing and not mention the colour really pops and there is no need for a top coat. This nail polish gets a well deserved 5 star rating.

The Gabrini nail paint was bought at the price of £1.99. The nail paint is from the elegant mirror collection at the colour M08. My personal review of this nail polish is it’s a great lasting nail polish as I have worn it for over a week now and it has served me good. The only negative about this nail paint is it needs two coats and a top coat for extra shine. Overall this nail paint gets a 4 star rating from me!

Blessed to be a blessing- Use of Notes

I was highly inspired by a very popular UK blogger when the blogger said that everyday they go out with a note that has an inspiration message written init. The blogger takes the notes and drops them into people’s pockets, bags, food trays when they are not watching.

After reading this I was so inspired that someone takes time to encourage others. It got me thinking about the story in Mathew 25:14- 30 where the servants where given gold, one was given 5 bags of gold and gained 5 more, the other one was given 2 bags and gained 2 more and the last servant was given 1 bag of gold but did nothing with it and did not gain anything. You see this blogger has been blessed and identifies their blessing, a God given talent to inspire others and they are using it to bless others.

At many times when we hear we are blessed to be a blessing, we think of monetary value and I say we including my self, think that we are not in a position to be a blessing. But the funny thing when I was thinking about this whole situation I thought of all those Action Aid adverts we see on television of the children in Africa, and of how those children have inspired me to work hard and appreciate what I have got. I mean if you truly watch the advert and pay close attention to it, You see people who are hard working and very appreciative of everything that they have, though deemed by the world is not much but they are very thankful. Though their situation is not very comfortable, there is no way you can not say this does not inspire the mind.

Being a blessing is using what you have got to bless others, no matter how small. It’s like what they say a yarn on it own is deemed insignificant, but it is very significant as if you remove the yarn from the jumper, the jumper starts to unravel. May God help us discover what we are blessed with and how we can blessed others.

Beauty–Lemons vs. Deodorant vs. Pore opener

Lemons are not just a citrus low calorie fruit, but it has many aspects to it. It is one of the main ingredients in many cleaning products as it is great for cleaning and getting rid of bacteria.

Lemons can be used as pore opener (if that is the correct term to use) to open up the pores and help cleanse the skin. To do this technique you need a bowl, a beach towel, water, kettle and lemons. You will need to:

1. Boil water and pour water in the bowl (please be careful)

2. Cut the lemons and squeeze the lemon juice in the water and add lemon zest.

3. Place your face above the bowl to allow the steam to soak into you skin with the towel covering your head and the bowl.

Lemons are also an alternative to using a deodorant and a much more green alternative. It will not stop you from sweating but it will get rid of the bacteria that causes body odour.

Just cut a lemon in half then as soon as you get out of the shower/ bath just take the lemon and rub it against the skin of the armpit area and let it dry before you dress up.

Greatness?

A statement that I heard at church which has been dwelling in my mind has gotten me thinking a lot about my life and my past. The statement was

"Greatness does not lay with what you achieve, nor is it measured by the amazement of people, nor by the number of people who know your story but rather greatness is measured by your obedience to God"

After I heard that I was thrown off, you see I used to see greatness through fulfilling your destiny as in if your destiny is to be a preacher then be a big preacher known all over the world and boom you are great. Being a preacher is one thing but being a preacher that is obedient is what makes one enter into greatness and from what I have seen in great people is it takes a lot of humility and being humble to obey. Not only that but it takes a lot of trust and faith too.

To obey involves love, trust and believe. To truly love, trust and believe one has to know in whom they lay their love trust and belief on and to know, one has to seek.

Inspiration is Lost

There is a moment in a life where we realise what inspires us the most and there are moments where we realise we have lost the original inspiration, and are in desperate pursuit to get that inspiration back.

We try to retrace our steps,return to a familiar environment, we try to remember the past and try to put ourselves back in the situation we used to be when we initially got inspired. My theory is that sometimes returning to our roots to a familiar positive environment to rejuvenate can work but most of the time it doesn’t if it is a negative root and it leaves you feeling frustrated and hopeless. So if one finds themselves in that situation, one has to reinvent and start afresh with a new approach. It’s time to look for a new inspiration because the old one has been outlived. When I was younger during the GCSE period my inspiration was the song independent woman by Destiny’s Child because I so wanted to be a successful woman of my own who did not need any man, but that inspiration was short lived and I found my self going on day by day with no aim. Until my birthday gave me a new motivation rebirth when I was given one of the most precious gifts ever, a book called Dear Millie answers to questions girls ask, That book was like a best friend I had never ever had before, it was a great mentor to me when I was growing up and played a part in the woman I am today. Funny how a book can make a difference. I truly thank God for using the writer of that book to use real life letters to address issues girls of toady face.

So what’s my point?

My point is when I had gone through a dull phase I went back to the Destiny’s Child song and it was not working for me anymore because it was shallow, so then I went back to the book and instantly was inspired because it was deep. Negative influence can only produce negativity and positive can only produce positive. So if what inspired you was negative it’s time to look for the positive.

Tea is one of the most drunk beverage in the world, whether it is winter or summer no one can resist a nice cup of tea. Tea comes in many forms and flavours. From hot tea to ice tea, from strawberry tea to green tea it’s truly diverse beverage.

As well as being a great beverage to drink tea is also a beauty remedy for dark circles and puffiness under the eyes. All you have to do is put the tea bag in a cup and pour hot water then wait for it to COOL down, then grab the tea bag, close your eyes, then gently place on dark circles and allow to rest for ten minutes. Also remember to not drink tea while your eyes are closed!
