As a CRC ex-patriot, I also struggled in finding churches in a new foreign land apart from West Michigan. We have had to change our priorities at times and definitely sacrifice some closely held hopes and dreams in order to find a worthwhile congregation. Now, part of my job is to enfold new people into the life of our church and many of your observations are so true. I'm going to share this with our team so that we can think through things well as "outsiders". Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
