Been awhile since I have been able to add to my blog. Now, I hope to be able to more often, and show what I have been creating. Good news though, since TAC has closed, and all the stamps, paper, where in limbo, we have good news. Pam, can't remember the last name, has taken over the stuff, and has planned on selling it online. No demonstrators, no catalog, just order online. The site is called "Red Rubber Stamps" and she plans on opening it in Feb. 2012, you can go the site and she also can be seen on Facebook.

It is offical that TAC has closed, I am very sad been with them for 6 years and will miss the stamps, and all the angels I have gotten to know. Not sure what they are doing with the leftovers, but maybe we will find out once the legal process is done.

Christmas cards

They are finally done and yes it is abit late but they go out Friday......I made two styles using the same stamp, just changed the background. This set is from TAC T-3147 it has four cute snowmen with holiday sayings and I have used it so many times but love the snowmen. The paper used is DCWV that I got from Joann's Fabric, got the last one and I was so happy. This pack of paper is loaded with Christmas and Winter paper, just love it. I painted the snowman with copic markers and watercolors and glitter. I used my Nestabilites for the frame and my ribbon used was also from Joann's.

Well, the Halloween evening is finally over, now what to do with the candy I have left. Guess I will pack it up and take it to work, if not I will snack on it and I don't need it. And now I am waiting to set my clocks back and then I am off to bed. I did want to share some exciting things that happened this week. On Thursday I took a class with Copic Markers, and can't believe how wonderful these Markers really are. The Instructor was Marianne Walker and she really knew what she was doing, she is very talented and also very helpful.
I was able to sit next to a person that worked at Hobby Lobby and she said they sell them in the Art Dept. Whoa.....I couldn't wait to get there to check them out. I made to Hobby Lobby and I bought 5 and not knowing which ones I have I got excited and 5 Copic markers came home with me. So, now back to the store and exchange for 2 of the 5, for ones I don't have. I am planning on making some cards this weekend using these Markers and will post them this weekend. Well, it is now getting late and I am turning all my clocks back, and hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Halloween Cards

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays....And fall is my favorite season as well. Drinking apple cider and I love to make pumpkin donuts and carmel apples. One thing though I don't like to do is rake leaves !!! I have four trees and the leaves just keep falling and falling...I keep raking and raking. So, now with my cards, I made these with TAC set T-2795 Trick or Treaters. The paper used was white for the base of the card and then I covered it with black cardstock. Not sure if you can see it or not, but I ran it thur my Sizzix using the spiderweb. I used my nestabilites for the circle frame for the stamped image, and then painted them with Luminarte watercolors. Thought I was done, then I found the little add ons at Joann Fabrics to add to my cards.

Flower Collage Trio

Last night I was thinking of spring, even thou the temp. outside was 1 degree. I started with recycled paper for my base it is 5 1/2 x 5 creme colored paper. Then I used my Sizzix plate to emboss the flowers on dark brown paper, then attach it to the card. With this stamp set T-899 it has three different flowers for many uses, and I have use it so many times. Using a tan scrap piece of paper I stamped the flower and then painted it with Luminarte watercolors. I edged it with a cooper colored frost ink. Needing a frame for it, I got one of my Nestabilites out and cut the flower out and then framed it with that beautiful paper from The Paper Company
P 62380. The Nestablities used was called Label one #S4-161. I attached the frame and flower with foam dots to give depth to the card, then added the cream colored ribbon to the side.

For Baby Ava

I have a customer that going to have a baby girl in about a month, so I had to make a card for her when I send her gift to her. I started with Pink cardstock, and had to find something to go with it, now I know I am not the only one that does this. It's my therapy and love doing it. Joann's is always having a sale and that is where I get most of my paper, but TAC has the greatest paper and love the cardstock. The patterned paper is by Heidi Grace Designs and had coordinating paper with it. It is so cute I had to use it, and it goes great with my pink paper. Found some green paper as well and off to creat my card. The card is 41/4x5, and the printed is 4x45/8, cutting the printed paper with "sweet pea going across the upper middle. I haven't made a little box for a long time and thought.....lets give it a try. So, using my Spellbinders scalloped retangles, I cut two of the same size out and then ran the one back thur using the smaller one. Ta da it worked and I have a little box, I used clear acrylic for the window box and had some pink butterfly buttons and thought they would work inside. I attached them with zots and then I had to add the edging, using foam strips that I got at Walmart. I then added the clear beads, and carefully added the back to the front and made sure it dried before I did anything else with it. I wanted to add her name to her card so I had some dark pink letters for her name and cut out same green for the outer square and then a lighter green for her name, attached it with foam squares. Finally, I love ribbon and so I found this beautiful pink satin ribbon and had to use it.

Love is in the air

This card I made is also for Valentines Day, and I know I have already had some on my blog I love the day and just had to make one more. My card base is white card stock 5x81/2 and then folded it at the 5 inch point. This leaves an open bottom, of 31/2 inches. The top of the card I put a piece of paper from KI memories and I had some pink paper left over for the bottom, both bought at Joann's Fabric. The stamp set I used is #2952 forever family, both the Love and the little red heart on the bottom of the card. I used Spellbinders large scalloped oval for the love, using black textured paper and Stamped Love in Red ink and edged it with Silver. I attached a little red heart the with cardstock and attached to the black oval. Now the little red heart, I stamped it on Shrink paper, I used the same red ink, and then used my heat gun to shrink it to the size it is. I attached it to the card with a couple of zots, I also added some black with white polka dots ribbon to the bottom.

Little Friends

This set is called Little Friends and have made so many cards using this set....one more won't hurt. I used the little pig with these cards, as a child I spent some time on a pig farm and when I saw this set it reminded me of my childhood. The Paper Studio Cool Small Flowers is the base of the card, I used a white cardstock for the card. The deep purple and lime are also The Paper Studio.....using to make the circles, one in purple and one in lime. I cut the pig in white cardstock 2 inch circle, edging with color. For the flowers next to the pig I used gel pens, had to add a little glitter it her. Last, I added some fun ribbon.....had some lime and also white with aqua polka dots, which are from Joann fabrics. Valentines Day Cards

First weekend of the new year and got bored, so I had to make my Valentines day cards. I want to try and stay ahead of the year and if I can keep this momentum then I should be done with my Christmas cards by Easter. lol......They were very easy to make. I love to go to Target and check out the $1.00 area. I couldn't believe all the Valentines Day stuff they had. I got there at 9 am and they were just putting it out, so I got some of the new stuff before anyone else. The paper I used for the cards is from Target and the flowers are Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby. The ink was Color Box warm red, used to stamp saying and to edge also. I used my Big Shot to add texture to the pink paper with Fiskars hearts texture plate.

This cute card I wanted to make before the New Year started. I had to sent out cards to friends that had birthdays just after the holidays. The set this comes from is Litttle friends #T 2332 and it has four little animals and I adore it. I used Neural Tan "the paper company" colored paper for the base and for the circle. The pink printed paper is "the paper company" #P62380, and I used a gold colored ribbon to wrap around the card. Stamped the chick in a brown ink and used gel pens to color the flowers.

Christmas cards

These three cards were made from the same stamp set #T-2962 Joy of Christmas. The Christmas tree card was made with Charcoal, Dark Purple and Metallic Blue papers from Provo. I bought all my paper at Joann's fabric store. I used the Metallic paper and embossed it with Cuttlebug Snowflakes. I used Color Box Silver ink to stamp the tree and also the saying. Ribbon was is silver and I used silver beads from Hobby Lobby. The Joy card was made with Snowy Joe #000793 Santa's Secret Garden by Imaginisce. The paper is reversible one side is Green and the other side is Cream colored. For the bottom half I used a Dark Red and scored it with my scorepal, then sanded it just abit. Bright Green ribbon was used for the bow, and the flowers are from Making Memories. Spellbinders cut the frame for the Joy stamp, and ink was Anna Griffin Green, and edged with Crimson. I applied the Joy with 3d dots and glue dots to attach the flowers.

This card was made with the Gerbera Daisy # T-739 From TAC. I used raspberry and mocha paper from Joann's Fabric and Crafts. The printed paper is Precious Petals #291056 from My Minds Eye. The scalloped oval and inner oval are from Spellbinders, Which I purchased at Marcos paper. I painted the daisy with Luminarte watercolors, and edged it with Crimson ink and the Thank you is done with Chestnut. Next I punched a hole at the top to add some ribbon and then used 3d dots to attach the tag to the card.

Hello, been working on cards most of the day, rain and more rain. So, I thought I would use my time making Father's day cards and just cards for summer. I haven't finished my Father's day cards but did do some summer cards. I got my Score-pal from The Angel Company and have been using it playing with it for a week and loving it. With this card, I used the Score-pal and did it at an angle, and then sanded the card. Next I cut a piece of lime green piece of card stock and stamped the saying on it. Next I stamped the butterfly and painted it with watercolors and cut it out and put doublesided adhesive to it and put clear beads on it. Last I put foam dots and attached it to the card.

Scrapbook page with Grandchildren

A few weeks ago my daughter sent some pictures to me via the internet. When I opened them I was so excited and just had to use them with a scrapbook page. Grace is my youngest grandaughter and she is a ham in front of a camera, and Galen is my oldest grandson and is Graces shadow. Galen is very close to his little sister and she looks up to her big brother. My daughter had taken the pictures in her back yard, that is very big with only a few trees. I used a pagekit that I had purchased at Walmart, the set is called Autumn Leaves by Mod Daydreams.

Mother's Day cards

These cards I made for Mothers Day are quick and easy. I made these cards by mistake, meaning I cut the paper wrong and thought I might as well try something with the paper I had in front of me. I had planned on making it longer and then cutting the bottom edge of the back part of the card with a fancy edge. Well I cut the card stock to short and so this is the cards I made from my mistake. Card is cut 6 3/4 by 5 1/2, then I put a crease at 2 1/2 for the fold over for the front of the card. Next I cut a piece of pattern paper 2 1/4 by 5 1/4 for the top of the card. For the bottom of the card I cut it 1 1/2 by 5 1/4. glue both in place. Next cut 3 square blocks 2 1/4, then one 2 1/2, and the last one cut 2 3/4. On the small square box stamp your picture, and I edged mine with pink ink. Then glue the smaller one to the next one and then the largest is last. Glue them on the card and stamp saying on the inside. Very easy, I have made Mothers Day cards with this pattern and also had to make 34 Birthday invites for a party.
