LOCATION
Ann Arbor, MI

COMPENSATION
Up to 95K (depending on skills and experience)
6 month contract-to-hire is also an option. Rate: up to 48/hr (depending on skills and experience)

REQUIRED
Experience developing and debugging software in a real-time, embedded, multiprocessor, multi-interface environment.
Familiarity with Renesas V850 microcontroller architecture.
Vehicle networking experience including CAN, LIN, MOST, etc.
Working knowledge of IIC, RS232, SPI or other serial interfaces.
Four year degree in appropriate field.

PREFERRED
Working knowledge of MicroC/OS
RTOS experience for development on Infotainment, Audio or Multimedia products.
Familiarity of Vector-based products and solutions including vehicle diagnostics and calibration.
Working knowledge of QNX or Embedded Linux.
Working knowledge of software development tools (debugger's, emulators, compilers, etc).
Ability to read schematics and debug analog and digital hardware.

OVERVIEW
Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translates these into software designs.
Analyze existing embedded software to add features, make modifications, fix bus, and/or port to different platforms.
Test software designs and code at the unit and system level to insure that all requirements are met and the highest software quality is achieved.
Participate in internal and customer driven design reviews throughout program.
Coordinate software development activities with software team leader.
Identify product requirement or performance issues. Work with software team leader to negotiate resolution.
Communicate with peers to coordinate software development. This includes occasional travel for training or coordination with other groups.
Manage small projects and technical resources, including planning, estimating and follow through.
Manage large projects and technical resources, including planning, estimating, and developing requirements in compliance with the established software development process.
Work with the customer to further define requirements and to resolve issues.
May direct the work of 1-2 other engineers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Perform regression testing of pending software releases.
Using the company's software programs, conducts product testing to determine compliance of products with the Company's specifications for industrial networks (a fee-for-service by the company).

OVERVIEW 
Candidate will design and deliver features based on JSP, PHP, ActionScript, MySQL, and sometimes other technologies on Linux-based and other systems. We deliver our products using a fast-paced iterative development process. Job responsibilities will include: 

	  
		 Architect, design, and/or implement applications that conform to a business need. Maintain a business perspective in terms of understanding/affecting how systems are implemented to satisfy user goals. 
		 Be responsible for the entire life cycle of a system or feature. Review requirements, generate designs, provide rough order of magnitude estimates, implement, and perform unit testing. 
		 Candidate should feel that the quality of his/her work is a direct result of his/her own testing. The candidate should be able to handle assignments where no formal QA occurs. Systems developed should behave to a high standard of quality. 
		 Work on multiple projects at one time, balancing needs and deadlines. An Progress on projects without much guidance from management. Propose new projects that will satisfy business needs. 
		 May be involved in testing beyond unit testing (e.g. integration testing with a remote location, capacity testing)

SCHEDULE 
You will be required to work some off-peak (night/weekend) shifts to provide software upgrades during low customer usage periods. 

REQUIRED 
	  
		 Experience with Active Directory 
		 Experience with Exchange Server 
		 Experience with application hosting 
		 Experience with Level 2 desktop support 
		 We are looking for a bright, self-motivated individual with initiative just as much as we are looking for the right skills and experience. 
	  

YOU WILL PARTICIPATE IN SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:  
	  
		 Application platform setup and configuration 
		 Operating system setup and configuration

The qualified candidate will work with application and infrastructure architects to maintain and improve the overall performance, reliability, and scalability of application servers and the applications running on them 

LOCATION

		 4+ years' experience in Linux stack Web Technologies and Application Servers  
		 Comprehensive understanding of the following technology architectures: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, LAN, WAN, Load Balancing, and IPSEC VPN  
		 Knowledge of application tools such as Java, PHP, Tomcat, .NET, MySQL, SQL Server. 
		 We are looking for a bright, self-motivated individual with initiative just as much as we are looking for the right skills and experience. 
	  

PREFERRED 
	  
		 Knowledge of Windows Networking, CVS, ANT, XML, and script programming  
	  

YOU WILL PARTICIPATE IN SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:  
	  
		 Application platform setup and configuration 
		 Operating system setup and configuration 
		 Application testing and identification of bottle necks 
		 Server/Application monitoring 
		 Upgrades of OS, Application Servers, and Libraries

* Contributes to manufacturing performance and customer service by assisting in the solution of production or quality problems associates with the design.
* Proposes and implements VA/VE solutions 
* Ensures that all appropriate tests are performed 
* Ensures that product designs meet customer requirements, through direct consultation with customer technical personnel to determine their needs and wants.
* Provides information about needs, wants and developments affecting company products and plans by maintaining regular, direct contact with customer technical personnel.
* Assists in achievement of sale's targets through direct participation in customer presentation
