2 Antivirus Programs are NOT better than 1 Antivirus

How many Antivirus program do you have in your system now?
1 = Good, keep Update it frequently, especially its Virus Database.
2 = Better choose and delete One of them soon!
3 = Oh my, quickly stop and get rid 2 of them if you want to safe your PC!
4 & more = Nothing to say. :|

That's somehow the way I react to anyone that have more than one antivirus programs in their system. Many people still think that 2 antivirus programs mean Double Protection which is better. But No, it's NOT.

Why 2 Antivirus Programs are not better than 1?

Before answering that question. Did you ever think what will happen,
if you got yourself 2 bodyguard from 2 different company? (especially if those 2 companies always compete each other.)
They will eventually fight to protect their customer. In this case, protecting your PC system from viruses. They could not just team up to do their job, at the very least they will double check on everything, every suspicious person, which will make everything takes time Longer. Wasting your Time, Money, and Energy to keep them = NOT EFFECTIVE.

The same thing apply for antivirus programs.
If you got 2 Antivirus programs, they will always fight to protect your PC System from viruses.
HOW? By scanning every files, every application, every services, every connection, everything even the other Antivirus as well Together and that will definitely make everything almost TWICE longer to finish.

It's been a long time since I got 2 Antivirus programs in my PC, but it's just fine.

Yes, it's just fine for now.
But realize it or not, there are some HIDDEN DISADVANTAGES when you use more than 1 antivirus program :
- you will feel your PC system running SLOWER than it should. That happen because:
--- those Antivirus programs scan everything Twice, Once with Antivirus A and Once with Antivirus B. It get worse if those Antivirus blocking each other because the file they want to scan is being scanned/accessed by other Antivirus.
--- they use more RAM than 1 Antivirus
- by accessed twice, your PC System will be more Easily gets ERRORS, Fragments, Bad sectors, cross-linked files, Freeze, Hang, BSOD, etc.
- and worse, by Antivirus blocking other Antivirus, your PC will become more VULNERABLE.

So what's the best thing to do with those Antivirus?

Delete 1 and leave only 1 Antivirus programs that you think protect your PC the most. And the most IMPORTANT thing is to UPDATE its Virus Database frequently.

It's USELESS, if you have 2 or more Antivirus programs but never update it.
It's the BEST, if you have 1 Antivirus program that you update daily.

Like all of us know, New viruses are made everyday every time.
Like us who need to know latest news every time,
Antivirus also need to learn and know those New viruses too to protect our PC. Antivirus learn by updating its Virus Database.

Simply having 1 Antivirus program installed in your Operating System and Update it daily is the BEST thing to protect your system.

Hope it helps you understand why 1 Antivirus program is BETTER than 2 Antivirus programs to protect your system from viruses. :)

[Tutorial]Recovering ASUS 1015PEM eeePC System with Embedded Windows 7

Years, yeah you could say it's been years since my last post. I admit it myself. :( I don't know where I'm going or doing. But I just get more busy these time on Senior High School class. So that's why I didn't post anything here that long. Anyway, I'm going to share a little but very useful tutorial for you who are using Asus eeePC.

Step by Step Recovering Asus 1015 PEM eeePC System with embedded windows 7 Starter

Today I got another work with an ASUS eeepc 1015 PEM Clam shell design from my school teacher. The eeePC got virus in the system and can't be recovered anymore, so I suggest him to re-install the fresh Windows. But when I asked him about the the recovery disc/windows 7 Starter disc, he said that there are no any disc in the package when he bought it. He just show me with some applications installer that stored in the D: drive, but that's not even driver or the image of windows 7 starter disc.

Silly me, I asked him to re-check it again at home. But nothing, and then I asked him to call to the seller. and the seller said it's there, inside the netbook..
Huh?!
I get myself to searching for what is inside this netbook package on Google. Some said there are CD, some not.. =="

Then I get myself to Google about video review on unboxing the eeePC ASUS 1015PEM and found out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gXAyhDcoIw.

From that video I found out How to boot into the embedded Operating System installer (by pressing F9 when starting the netbook), actually I'd read about it somewhere before but I forgot. :hammers.

Let's get back to the business:
1.Start your eeePC
2.press F9,
3.Fail! I got myself into windows 7 boot manager.

I tried each Function key on the boot (F) n got F2 to enter the BIOS. By pressing F2 on boot, the Bios logo screen will show up and there are some options came up either, like the F9 the recovery option. Bingo!

So the right steps should be:
1. Start your eeePC
2. press F2, wait few seconds until the BIOS logo shown,
3. then press F9, the screen should be showing "Windows is loading files . . ."
Now it's going load the recovery system/windows 7 starter,
5. choose English n hit the arrow
6. press Recovery
The system will start the process to install fresh windows 7 to you ASUS 1015PEM eeePC, so just follow the next steps shown. It's just like the usual windows 7 installation.

The screenshot will be updated later :)

CAUTION!
It will delete all data in partition C:, but the D: partition itself is safe in my experience. But to be sure, I backuped all files in D: to another media just in case. :D

[Quick Tips] Cancel your CMD's command in process with Ctrl+C

Just a quick tips here.
Sometimes when you're working Windows Command Prompt or CMD, the command takes too much time to finish, just like Checkdisk(CHKDSK). And when it's in process, we need to use another quick commands(like dir) by cancelling current command in process.

To stop CMD or command prompt process, we can press "Ctrl + C" buttons. It will cancel the current process and let you input another command. It's more useful when you're using the command prompt in a non-GUI system, just like "repair" function in Windows XP installation disk.

FYI : Some commands or processes in CMD can't be stopped/cancelled with 'CTRL+C', but most of them do stopped.

It's been so long since my last post. In the meantime, I get excited with learning on developing 3D game with Blender. And now I made 2 W.I.P games which not really be games, but more likely a walkthrough only.

The first one is the game of my current school Sriwijaya "Sriwijaya Interactive 3D Walkthrough by Mickeel", which was finished when I'm still 16th years old, i think it was a young year to make a simple game like this :). I made the 3D models and import it into Blender and make it as walkthrough. you can walk around my school. But it's still not completed, because there still no chairs,whiteboards,table, and etc. However already can describe the basic building of my real school now..

[Trick]How to Show Original Standard Desktop Icons

Hi all,
very long time since my last post. I'm so sorry.

Anyway, I want to tell you how to show original standard desktop icons, remember it's the original one and NOT only shortcuts. The original that I meant was My Computer, My Documents, My Network Places, and Internet Explorer. Because by default the desktop is lank and only an Original Recycle Bin icon shown, and as what I've saw so many people used the non-original(shortcut) icon for these icons.

Follow these steps to show original non-shortcut desktop icons
(my computer, my documents, my network places, and internet explorer):
1. Right-click on the blank part of your Desktop
2. click "Properties"
3. click "desktop" tab
4. click "customize desktop" button
5. Tick on all icons inside "desktop icons", ex: My Documents, My Computer, My Network Places, and Internet Explorer
6. OK and OK

Note: In some situation, we may can't find Internet Explorer in Desktop Icons.

Q:Why using the original icons for these icons?
A:Because the original icons gives us more options when right-click on them.
example: right-clicking on Original my computer icon, would give us additional options like "manage, map network drive, and disconnect network drive".

Q:Can we use those additional options without using those original desktop icons?
A:Yes.
We can use them too, by right-clicking the same icon from "Modern Start Menu in XP".
But if you are using the classic start menu, the easier way to access it is by using these original standard desktop icons.

RE-Learn a 3D Program from 3DsMax to Blender

Hi everyone..

Just sharing something that I just did. Since 4th year Junior High School I learned Modelling n Animating with 3D Studio Max, because I want to be someone that can make cartoon just like in the TV. And now there were already some examples of I can do with 3Ds Max.
Just like:
1.X Dance ~ 3D Animation by 15years old Kid
2.[3D]2nd 3D Short Animation by 16th years old boy
3.and last project of making a Game Level of my house: [EXP]MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, Make a Game Level of My House Finished before 2009 End ^^

Now after I made agame level with Cryengine, I found an obstacle that make me a little disappointed. It's because the CryEngine can't make a Stand Alone Engine for the Game Level we made, instead we must use CryEngine to load our game level. I learned this game level making because found a simple walkthrough of a room, which packed under 1MB size and that make us easier to transfer it to another computer. Then I Tried CryEngine because can't find the tutorial about that program.

But Not Now, it's 2010, I Re-Search the Tutorial over the internet, found someone asking in the forum that was in a CERTAINLY SAME SITUATION as me, that is my way to find some Tutorials. And I Re-Learn the New 3D Program named BLENDER from Zero. ^^

OK.. I had been searching for resources, articles, tutorials, and everything about making a simple Walkthrough with Blender for a long time. But in these 2 last weeks I found 9 Pages of Blender Tutorial that was very helpful. Finally today, maybe I found the PRECIOUS Thread that someone that have the SAME SITUATION which contain Tutorials to make a walkthrough. He/She really have the same situation as mine, so take a look. ^^ http://forum.nystic.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9854.

Actually.. Since I bought Ebooks Collection of CHIP MAGAZINEs & found a Blender walkthrough sample, I really interested to make it, but I can't find Tutorial bout it anywhere. I just tried to start the Blender from the CD, and I blind, because I only learned a 3D Program (3D Studio Max) that time.

Until 2 days ago, I Re-Learn Blender from Zero. I really didn't know anything about using blender until now. But I think I can and I want to make that walkthrough as I found the Tutorials. There I found step-by-step tutorial of making a walkthrough using movement script in Blender.

Along with this, I think it's a good opportunity to Learn Blender and Make a walkthrough with it. As many 3D Artists in Indonesian was using 3D Freeware Blender and publish their cartoon/animations to TV Station and Advertising.

AND MAYBE! The Best Opportunity is to get along with them working as 3D Artists.. ^^

Check Your Windows System Original BirthDate / Install Date

Wondering: How to check the original Install date of your windows Operating System?
Want to know the date or day you installed Your Operating System (OS)?

Get It here..
With just a VERY SIMPLE COMMAND, you will get what you want. PLUS, more Information about your Microsoft Windows Operating System.

Direct to the Steps,
Follow these ^.^:
1. Open Start Menu -> Run
or press "Windows + R" buttons
2. Type "CMD" w/o quotes
3. Type "SYSTEMINFO" w/o quotes and wait for a while.

And You Got It, Find "Original Install Date", that will tell you what time your Operating System Installed.. ^.^
You can also find, "System Up Time" to check how long your computer turned ON and UP that time. ^.^

[EXP]MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, Make a Game Level of My House Finished before 2009 End ^^

Hello all, maybe today I'm not telling new Experience, instead I will share my happiness. I just finished a Game level Design which based of my house building with Cryengine 2 SandBox 2 and 3D Studio Max 9. Maybe I's just still a very basic structure of my house, but it's enough for me as I already can move inside it. It's still very Fress from the Oven.

Also there is 2 more things which make me more even happier because finishing this. 1.It's my age, I'm still 16th and now making a basic 3D Building based of my own House..
2.I just learned and used SandBox 2 about a week ago from Online Tutorial, not from book.. (FY: it's because I just bought a new VGA which support to use this SandBox2)

[EXP]Problem Installing Flash Player 10 for Mozilla, Opera, and Safari Browser

OK Here it is..
That time I was re-formatting my customer's computer. And when it comes the time to install the Flash Player, I used the flash player setup from my pc. I downloaded the Offline Setup version with Internet Explorer on my PC several months ago, which make the Adobe Flash website give Internet Explorer version only. So my customer's customer still couldn't access flash contents from Mozilla Firefox(as it's their favourite browser) or even Opera and I still didn't know the different.

I Checked the exact same version with the one at internet and re-downlaod it, but still no hope. Searching through the Google only give me answer of moving some part of the plugin's files and installing the newest version, but still it wouldn't help.

Until then, I found another link that give me a way to troubleshoot this problem. I found a new link that lead me to the page at Adobe Flash website that give us option to choose to download different version of Adobe Flash. And that time I just know, that Adobe Flash Player have many different version for each Operating Systems and Browsers.

So When you asking or wondering: How to install Adobe Flash Player for Mozilla, Opera, Safari, and etc at Windows 7/Vista/XP/Linux/Solaris/Mac OS and etc.
You can find the answer here.

1.Simply go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
2.Choose your Operating System and Your Target Browsers
3.Then click "Agree & Install Now"

There you go, you are downloading the right version of Adobe Flash Player 10 for your specific Browser and Operating System. And now you know How to install Adobe Flash Player for Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and Safari smoothly. :)

TIPS: Add the name Operating System(OS) and Browser version to the filename of 'Adobe Flash Player setup', so you can know the version easier later.

Long Time no post in these 2 last months.

Yeah, I've been very busy in these months, many computer customers called me to repair their computers. I also make record for the biggest number of computer customers in a month.. haha..

After these time passed, I faced the School's tests. Which take about a week of stressful day.. Then there is another thing to do in my todo list, it's my work at FreeLancer the best place to earn money as a freelancer over the internet, better than ad too :D.

Friendster fully Blocked WMA and MP3 Songs embed part 2

Hi again,
yesterday I found new way to embed the songs, it's to embed the mp3 with the mp3 player. The player will be fully useable for course, we can use the play/pause and the volume buttons. But the sound have very low quality compared to WMA filetype with the same settings and file size. But using MP3 will give user NEW Feature to download the mp3 songs.
And the most IMPORTANT, the hosting for mp3 songs is still FREE.

However the MP3 player was hosted by other website in the premium hosting. I afraid it will be BLOCKED SOON by the code hoster or Friendster, which block our way to embed the mp3.

So I will keep my plan to gather donation from users to buy the hosting.
Why?
It's gathered to buy the premium hosting, to host the mp3 song embedded in the flash player directly in swf files. And also to host the MP3 Player.

Why use that way, it need PAY right?
Because embedding swf is ALMOST impossible to be blocked by friendster.
Mostly SWF will be used to put animated animation or especially GAMES by Friendster users which have been a standard feature for Friendster users.

That's why, I keep my plan to put the mp3 song embedded in the player already which hosted in the PREMIUM hosting.

Hi all,
I just want to share a little about another change in Friendster embedding system. About 5 days ago, I checked my Profiles and found that one of my application to put songs gone. It is Musicbox from div*ne-mus*c which had been used to put my site's music codes from http://i.doremimu.com/.

Before that musicbox deleted, Friendster was also blocked their feature in embedding mp3 and wma songs inside their "About Me" or "Who I want to meet" or "Media Box", even embedding at new application also blocked.

After they all were blocked and deleted, just like I wrote before "Our last hope, the div*ne-mus*c which also ALREADY blocked."

Before I given up, I also thinked and Tried other ways to embed WMA songs in Friendster again.
I Tried to:
1) embed the wma using flash player from other site.
Because: there is music codes one site that still can embed their MP3 using JW Mp3 Player inside "About Me", "Who I want to meet" or "Media Box" smoothly.
Result: No use, the JW Mp3 player can't support WMA.
2) convert my songs into swf, host it at my usual free hosting, and embed it just like div*ne-mus*c or other music codes that converted their song into SWF.
Because: Remembering that "div*ne-mus*c" music codes can be embedded smoothly inside "About Me", "Who I want to meet" or "Media Box" smoothly too.
Result: No use, the code just gone from the face of Friendster after saved.
3) make a fake link of my files to the same hosting as "div*ne-mus*c" used.
Result: Code SAVED SUCCESSFULLY and saved smoothly.
Problem: The hosting need to be Premium Member which needs PAY.
With SWF files, I can't put any song info inside the properties anymore. However this is the best way.
4) embed my songs converted into swf files, host it at my usual free hosting, and embed it with JW Mp3 Player from other site.
Because: Just trying it.
Result: Code Saved successfully as the Mp3 player hosted at photobucket. But the player buttons can't be used, the song played automatically but we can't control the song (like pause).

FYI: I hide many of the site info/link in this post to keep similar free music codes site to copy my new trick bypass Friendster music embedding trick.
WHY?
Because rival website (similar Music Codes site) also troubled and stucked until now. Haha.
However I found the tricks first, even it's need PAY to make it better.

NOW,
I'm thinking to make donation from users to buy the premium hosting or NOT. Because the premium hosting also a bit expensive as I my website still never make any income until now. :(

[Trick]How to Move Original My Documents Default Location

Hello all,

I just recovered from another ill time, it's Rubella Virus.

Today, I want to share you How to Move the original My Documents Default Location, which usually located inside the "system partition/documents and settings". We will can move the My Documents folder to another folder or partition.

I think it will be useful. Example: For those(including ME) who used "Deep Freeze" program and freezed their System partition and leave their second partition unfreezed to keep their System partition free of virus.

Follow these steps:
(If followed my previous tips on =>"[HOW TO]Display Standard Desktop Icons, NOT shortcuts ")
1. Right-click on 'My Documents' folder on desktop
(If you didn't)
1. Click on 'Start' menu in taskbar.
2. Right-click on 'My Documents' folder
3. Click on 'Properties'
4. Click 'Move' button inside 'target folder location'
5. Browse to your desired New Location for the Default My Documents location
6. Then make a new folder named 'My Documents'
7. Click OK
8. Click OK again
9. 'Move Documents' dialog will pop up, click YES!
10. DONE, your 'My Documents' moved to the New Location ^.^

IMPORTANT NOTE: Use at you own risk.
Some games or programs do save their profile or datas inside your 'My Documents' folder. Some of them will detect if My Documents moved to the new location, but some MAYBE not which will make the games/programs can't find their profile or data.

Better use this Tricks on NEW user or NEW Fresh Windows installation, which haven't many programs yet. So if the program save datas to 'My Documents', it will automatically save the data to your 'MOVED My Documents' location.

So, don't use Atropos with this DotA 6.61b AI+ PA 3 Map, its just like god in DotA.

However before u download,
I just tested the DotA AllStars v6.61b AI+ 1.53 PA 4 and The Atropos - Bane Elemental 3rd Skill Nightmare BUG still not fixed. So I recommend you to not use Atropos with this DotA 6.61b AI+ 1.53 PA 1/2/3/4 Map, except if you play just for fun. Also this isn't an Official Map.

2 days before exactly 10 July 2009, I got an Email from Yahoo which said

"Important notice: GeoCities is closing on October 26, 2009".

That time, I'm thinking "I'd had a website at GeoCities and I almost forgot it." Why? Because GeoCities offer very limited features and the URL is rather difficult to remember.

After then, I opened GeoCities.Yahoo.com logged in and found another closing service from Yahoo.
Y! 360° is a blog service from Yahoo and today 13July, 2009 is the last day to copy your Yahoo!360° blog content! Better Quick! Until this post created you still have 17hours to copy your entire post at Y!360° blog!!

FYI: Me myself don't own a blog Y!360°.
However my
FIRST website I created my own
was at Y!GeoCities ==> GeoCities.yahoo.com/mickeel_p,

but I think it's not accessible anymore from public. I gonna move the files to my domain at DoReMiMu.com later.

Sights, I think I can still keep my first website I created at the place. But what can we say, it's free service and Yahoo did offer unlimited space at Y!Mail already. In My Opinion (IMO) that's why Yahoo keep closing its services, which taking much bandwidth.

Just like Yahoo!Briefcase which closed before, and now GeoCities and 360°Blog also closing, that's all happen because Unlimited Space at Yahoo Mail (My Own Opinion).

It's late, but I will post this.
The King of Pop Michael Jackson was died on 50th 29 June 2009(1958-2009) and buried yesterday. Memorial service was held on Staples Center Los Angeles. Fans, Friends, and Family of Michael Jackson (Jacko) was coming there. However not all the fans can get the tickets it's very limited, and so all fans who got those tickets was very happy there.

One things which make that Memorial service very interesting, touching, memorable. It was when Michael's daughter, Paris Jackson, expressed her love for her late father. She Said,"I Just wanna say, I Love Him So Much".

Yesterday I'm thinking how to sync my Primary Browser(Opera) between my PC and Notebook. And then I found, 'Opera Link'. I found it can sync out Opera everywhere and anywhere.

You can also access your synchronized data via browser without sync it if you want.
You can access your Notes, Bookmarks, and Speed Dials configuration from "Opera Link Website"

Is Opera Link safe?
I also wondering that, but as far you don't share your account, it will be safe.

How to synchronize your Opera??
Before we start, you will need:
1. an Opera Account, SIMPLE REGISTER at ===>>> http://my.opera.com/community/signup/
2. Newer Opera version, Opera 9.20 doesn't support 'Opera Link'

Now follow these steps:
1. Open ur Opera Browser
2. go to 'File', and click 'Synchronize Opera'
3. Type in your username and password, and press 'Login'
4. Opera will connect and sync the data to your account.
5. Sync Status can be seen at the bottom of browser.

But on the way using this feature, I found 2 little problems:
1. It's doesn't supported on the older Opera,
~~~~~My Notebook was using Opera 9.20, and it didn't support Opera Link,
just upgrade to current newest version Opera 9.64.

2. My ISP has some connection problem with 'Opera Link' server
~~~~~I'm using 2 ISP with HSDPA modem & wireless broadband. On the wireless broadband ISP, I can't Sync anything on the first time.
However after I try proxy for the First sync, the next sync no need proxy anymore^.^
So Just try proxy ur HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP connection if you can't sync it!
And also use a good Proxy IP, no need to be so anonymous.
