This week, Tom Caprood sat down with Joshua Bloomfield, a local drummer who grew up in the Capital District and has played in more than 20 local bands over the years.

His current band is called Right Coast Soul and you can hear a small sample of one of their tracks, "Joe's Freakout Bag," in the beginning of the episode.

The two went on to talk about how Josh started playing the drums, his love of soul and R&B music, and some of his thoughts on the local music scene.

Also, make sure to listen in as Josh mentions the band's upcoming shows and even a farewell show on the horizon for their singer.
The two discuss Bob's history in the Capital District arts scene (Did you know he used to manage Albany's Palace Theater?), the arts overseas, the pros and cons of community theater, and which upcoming local shows might be worth seeing.
