I finally found the best eyelet setter — well, at least for my needs. ^_^;;

I LOVE the Crop-A-Dile Eyelet & Punch Kit made by We R Memory Keepers.

It’s a hole punch and eyelet setter in one! You can also use it to set snaps or any other metal embellishment. It punches through paper, leather, plastic, metal, chipboard, acrylic, fabric, wood, poly, and more. I’ve only used it on paper but the kit came with an idea sheet for a metal project so I might try that soon.

I wanted the one with the lime handles but I couldn’t find a good deal for it online so I settled for the orange one.

I started making websites in 2003 and if I remember correctly, I had signed up for a reseller hosting plan because I wanted my domain to pay for itself. This was back when there were very few local web hosting companies. I had a very popular website with a LOT of hostees and web traffic.

You can find really good deals on reseller web hosting by looking at companies that are focused on that rather than shared hosting. It’s a good idea if you are running a lot of domains or websites. You can manage them all through one account.

I do plan on being a lot more active online so I might purchase a reseller plan in the future. I’m actually thinking of selling one of my domains and registering a new one. I kind of want to start from scratch. I want to make a website with a clear focus.

I’ve actually started closing down the websites that I don’t have the time or energy to run anymore. This way, I can focus on my bigger projects. I need to get my ideas (and files) organized so I can revamp the ones that are still active. I’ve always wanted to start a photoblog so I’m thinking of converting my other domain. We’ll see how things go…

I just bought a scrapbook album on eBay and I’m really excited to start scrapbooking again! I’m hoping to buy a complete kit with papers and embellishments pretty soon. I’m also planning to get custom rubber stamps. I really want to start a scrapbook for me and my husband. Then I want to make another scrapbook for my family. I’m hoping to take it with us when we come and visit so they’ll have an idea of what life is like for me now. I want to still be able to “share” my life with them. It’s been really hard living so far away from them.

I also want to start doing art-related stuff. I used to love scrapbooking. I know I still have a ton of materials in my old room that my mom will never throw away. I think she wants to start a scrapbook for my grandma too so I’m hoping she’ll be able to use the stuff I left behind. I had one scrapbook that I tore apart because it just made me sad. Now I’m going to focus on happy memories. =’) I’m planning to make a scrapbook for our dogs too. I can’t believe how big our puppy is now! He turned a year old last month!

My husband and I were talking about our trip to Las Vegas again. We went there last year to get married and stayed at a hotel right across a casino. We had a lot of fun playing slots and Pai Gow Poker. We also played Blackjack and some Roulette but we won the most money from sports betting. We had a really great time and we plan to go back someday. We started talking about Vegas again because my hubby remembered how we almost lost some of the most important documents we had — social security cards, birth certificates, marriage certificate, etc. because we accidentally left the laptop bag (where we put all the documents) in the cab we rode to the airport. The cab driver actually told us that none of his passengers have ever left any luggage, purses, cellphones, etc. in his cab because he makes sure to remind them to check all of their belongings before getting out. I guess we broke his track record. We were really lucky because the cab driver turned out to be really nice (everything he said was true). He actually went back to the airport and left the laptop bag at the airline counter so we got it back! We will always be grateful to that man. It’s so nice to know that there are still some genuinely good people in the world.

It’s almost time for me to renew my web hosting plan. I’m still looking for top web hosting providers and I’ve narrowed my search down to less than five. I’ll have to decide which company to sign up with by next month at the latest. I found one web host that offers an unlimited plan (disk space and bandwidth) for half the price I’m currently paying — it includes the domain (for life) so it’s at the top of my list. I’m also looking for a good email host — I loved having my own webmail on my domain so it’ll be nice to have a host that has reliable email services.

I just need to inform my hostees about the move and have them back up their files. Hopefully everything will work out great and there won’t be too much downtime while I change hosts. I’ll have to start cleaning out my web folders too. I’ll probably do a complete overhaul / revamp of my main domain at least. I’m thinking of merging some of my other sites too. I really wish I had an image editing program right now. I really want to try and make a new personalized WordPress theme.

Before I met my husband, I never considered getting a Dachshund for a pet. For one thing, I’ve never seen a wiener dog that was truly well-mannered (READ: not mean) and I was always worried about the possibility of back problems. I would hate to have to put down a pet because of an injury. I wouldn’t be able to bear it.

It was pretty easy to potty-train our Dachshund puppy. It only took a few weeks and though he would still have accidents, we attributed it to his small bladder. LOL. As he got older, he was able to hold it until I could run and open the door for him when he needed to go. Now he’ll even hold it all day if we have to leave him at home (unlike our other dog who goes and pees wherever he likes if he senses that we’re going out).

Now one thing you have to remember is that Dachshunds are not for everyone. They need constant love and attention and they will eat ANYTHING. They can be jealous and stubborn. They’re probably one of the hardest breeds to train. If you really want one, you may want to consider dog obedience boarding. One thing I’m sure of is that once you decide on giving a Dachshund a place in your heart, there’s no going back! They just steal your heart and your life won’t be complete without a wiener dog to love…

I’m so glad that my husband got a king-size bed for our bedroom. It came with a 7-piece set that included a headboard, foot board, dresser with mirror and cabinet / drawers. All the pieces are beautiful and match our style. I remember the childrens beds that my sister and I used to have. It’s a LOT different from the beds we sleep in now. I can’t believe we ever had bunk beds. LOL. My husband and I were talking about it a few nights ago and he said he’d fallen off the top bunk before. I used to love sleeping in the top bunk but I did fall off the ladder a few times.

Anyway, we didn’t have to spend a ton of money on a mattress for the king-size bed either. We just got a regular spring mattress and then bought a goose feather mattress topper and it’s just like sleeping on an actual feather or luxury mattress.

Now all we need are satin sheets! I’m not sure how much those run for here but I’ve seen a few listings online. We might have to go and check those out if we can’t find a good deal at any of the stores in town.

I’m playing video games again. My husband got me Final Fantasy X for the Playstation 2 and I started playing it last weekend. This isn’t the first time I’ve played it — I never got to finish it before.

Story / Plot 9/10
FFX is set in Spira, a world in turmoil because of a monster called Sin. The story revolves around Tidus, a star blitzball player from Zanarkand who finds himself in Spira after Sin attacks his city during a game. He meets various characters along the way and they join together in a quest to defeat Sin and bring peace to Spira.

This is probably the saddest Final Fantasy story ever made… You can’t help but fall in love with it.

Graphics 9/10
The cutscenes are incredible! Even my husband (who really doesn’t like RPGs) said that FFX has the best graphics he has ever seen for the PS2.

Battle System 6/10
The game uses a Conditional Turn-Based Battle (CTB) system instead of the old Active Time Battle (ATB) system. You can take as much time as you want deciding what to make your character do for his turn. After a while it can get pretty tiring.

Blitzball Mini-game -
I’m not a big fan of Blitzball. I just can’t enjoy it. I’m already over 30 hours into the game and the only Blitzball match I participated in was the first one because there was no way around it. This probably isn’t a good idea because this means Wakka won’t reach his full potential but we’ll see.

Sidequests -
I’ve started doing the Monster Arena sidequest. It’s pretty enjoyable but can get repetitive. It’s a nice way to level up your characters but I really wish you didn’t have to use a particular type of weapon. It would be nice if you can use the weapon of your choice. It would make monster-hunting so much easier. Also, I’m very grateful that Tidus has the “Flee” skill. There’s a capture limit of 10 per monster so if you keep encountering the same monster over and over again, it’s just not worth it. Too time-consuming.

Music 9/10
I LOVE the music. Suteki da ne is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.

Overall 8/10
Hopefully I can finish the game this time. I’m using a walkthrough and I’m already halfway through it. I might write another review once I’m done. I’m taking a break for now.
