Thanks to Joe over at Get In!PR, I get to hear Martin Solveig and Martina Sorbara(Dragonette) together again while watching Martin Solveig vs. Bob Sinclar. In tennis. At Roland Garros.

Here’s a reminder of the Martin’s and Martina’s past exploits.

Martin Solveig – Boys and Girls (ft. Dragonette)(Original Edit)(dl)

Martin’s back with his new track ‘Hello’, the first single from his new album “Smash”, due out in 2011. I’m stoked for it, and couldn’t be happier that Martina could lend her voice to this track. ‘Hello’ is a funky, driving number, doused with chunky bass riffs, hypnotic grooving synths, skipping percussion and vocal hooks that will plant themselves in the mind of even the most cynical of critics all summer long.

Sweet track, and a spectacle of a video to boot. Set amongst the media furore of The Roland Garros French Tennis Open, ‘Hello’ follows the story of a DJ who is in training because it takes “a lot of skill and a lot of energy to become a DJ”. Spurred on by the off-the-wall plots of his manager, French DJ Gregory Darsa, Martin finds himself unwittingly staged on centre court for the match of his life against Bob Sinclar. Have a look for yourself.

Enjoy, and be on the lookout for more posts in the near future!

Thanks to being a lucky Waffler, I was able to come up with a copy of The Glitch Mob‘s “Drink The Sea”. These guys are immensely talented and can really get a floor movin’. Their penchant for using a smorgasbord of samples results in many a creative tune, and is essentially what gets me so stoked about each of their releases. Below you’ll find some tracks from “Drink The Sea”, slated for a May 25th release. Have a listen, buy their album, and go see them live (provided that you can). Unless you don’t like having your mind blown.
