Wedding Cake & Invitations!

Today, we have accomplished a lot! First, we went to our cake tasting and finalized our wedding cake favors and design.

Then we headed to our new favorite chill out place - English Springs Park. We got some cheese, sandwiches, and snacks and stayed for the whole afternoon!

We also ordered our wedding invitations online!
At first, we thought of cutting our expenses by printing our own wedding invitations, but since we don't have that many guests, we thought it'd be better off just to order online. We managed to get a good deal on our invitations. Which came out just a little bit more than what we would pay if we were to print them ourselves. That also saves us a few trips to Staples! :)

We spent roughly around 2 months searching for my perfect wedding band! What can I say, we picked the first store we went to, and of course, picked the first one I tried on! Needless to say, I still thank my fiance taking me to ALL jewelry stores within 25 miles radius. Sounds like a lot of spot to hit, but it was worth it at the end. We both loved the ring I got, we also got a really good deal on it too! One thing I noticed is that buying anything from the store is almost 99% more expensive than their official website price, the remaining 1% is that they are selling it for the same price both online and in store. So please, even if you think you found the ONE, always give yourselves a few more mins to think through.

Ask yourself a few questions...

Do you love it?
How much do you love it?
Is it within your budget?
Does it look good with your engagement ring?
Can you wear it alone without your engagement ring? and still look good
What's its warranty? with stones and/or without stones
What's its upkeep?
Is it reasonably priced?

after all that, still don't forget to check online before sealing the deal. I got about $250 less than if I were to buy it in store.

Especially for anyone who has to "resize" or "special order" their rings simply due to the stores not carrying their sizes. One GREAT tip that's going to save you a ton is that to buy the warranty. Let the warranty take care of the sizing instead of paying the initial fee to have it in your size. Of course, that is if you have the time to spare. But if you're already having it special order, it take about the same amount of time having it resize under the warranty program anyway.

Earlier the day I was just complaining to my bff how Andy and I haven’t seen each other in a whole week! and how disappointed and upset I was because he's too busy working and didn't make time for us.

Yes, I have been off for about 3 days by now, and he didn’t come see me even after I told him I got sick after I came back from work. AND the day before he went out to “shop” WITHOUT me! I was even more annoyed. (yup, yall feel me?! Haha)

Throughout the night he was asking what time im going to be home, and kept reminding me how late it is already and that it is not safe to be out late (he does this all the time so I didn’t think twice) BUT I just didn’t feel like texting him back. (yes girls, that’s how you show your bf that you’re not happy and no it doesn’t work because your guy is most likely assuming that you really are just busy.. lol)

After a long day out I came home around midnight, finally texted him back to tell him im home. Right before hopping in the shower, he called but I was already getting ready to shower so I thought I’d just call him back when im done, and THEN! my bff messaged me on fb .. (Thursday 12:22am) “He’s gonna propose!” I thought her bf proposed to her and I even congratulated her! HAHA! Then she was like “no, your bf is going to propose, check his fb.” I honestly thought she was BSing.. and I told her “wtf” and hopped in the shower and came out with two missed calls from him?!?! I called back and he said open the door he's outside of my house. WHAT?! I went downstairs in my pjs with a towel on my head looking as much as a hot mess humanly possible. Then I saw... ♥

(with “Marry Me” – Jason Derulo playing in the background) without doubt, I said YES!

I later found out that the reason why he hasn’t been able to come see me is because he’s been planning this for months and was on the final stage of the planning. Before this proposal, he had already planned two other ones which failed of course, just kidding; they just didn’t work out the way he planned. Did I mention he made the light-up poster himself?! So cute!!! He said it took him days to finish. :P

&& I asked him why May 14?! He said he meant to pop the question on May 13 11:59 so that we will be engaged by May 14. But then I came home late lol. Then I asked what’s so special about midnight, he said so then we will be spending 1314 together. (1314 in Chinese sounds similar to “lifetime”, cheesy I know... but I love it!)

Woohoo! I’m just beyond excited to tell the world that we are engaged! I am going to marry my dream man, my best friend and my soul mate! :P

Hello world!

It's been too long since my last update and I feel like I have started my blog with this phrase for the past 5 or 6 posts. Life's been way different since I moved back to LA from east coast. Not necessary more busy but lazy.

I love my job. But it either gives me no time or too much time. I'm still trying to figure out how to manage my time better by doing nothing. Ha!

There's no progress in my life for the past few months. Ever since my boyfriend started his two jobs working 6 to 7 days a week. I feel like a huge part of my life is missing because of that. And of course all of my friends are just as busy so I can't really seek company from them. At least not as often as I'd like. So now, I'm by myself. With nothing to do most of the time.

My life fell apart because I was so depended on others. I don't have friends to hang out every week anymore because they met new friends and their significant others. My parents are busy with work of course. And to take this to the next level, my boyfriend is busier than ever. Everyday and every day, I'm home with nobody to talk to. I'm so stressed by doing nothing at all. I know this sounds crazy and indeed is crazy.

Anyway all I'm saying is that I'd like to find my purpose in life again before I lose myself.

REVIEW: Influenster Vox Gillette Venus

Hello world! Look at what I got from Influenster Vox Box! A cute little Gillette Venus Razor. I have seen them all around Target and drugstores. I use the regular Gillette Venus from time to time and it's great to try out this baby version of it!

It's basically your regular razor on a shorter handle. Come in a plastic case so it's super travel friendly. Perfect for gym bags or carry on!

& good news! I finally have a set working schedule next month! Will be traveling to Shanghai all month in June. It's been forever and I'm extremely happy about it. Thank God for saving me from schedulers. I don't like to talk too much about my work online, but let's just said I've had way more than enough from May. On the positive note, it's going to be a whole lot better in June! :)

REVIEW: BEST Lip balm Lip Treatment ever!

Hello!

Wow I don't know how other bloggers can keep up with blogging. Life is just too busy lately and I kind of forget about blogging.

Reasons being... (excuses, I know! HAHA!)

My birthday was in January and i can say this year was my favorite bday so far. My bf and my bff threw me a surprised bday get-together along with my close friends. February was busier than ever, I flew around the world pretty much.. went all over the states, europe and central america. On top of the hectic work schedule, I was informed by my coworker that my work transfer was granted during my layover in Milan on Valentine's day! So I pretty much had less than a week to pack all of my stuff in NJ and move back to CA.

Everything worked out at the end and I'm very happy about moving back home. :)

So, some time in February I went to Paris for work. I searched all around for the infamous NUXE Reve de Miel because of essiebutton HAHA! I got it for just under €10 so that's about $14.

I already have Dior Creme de rose $28, it was my favorite lip treatment for a while.

Since I have the two most talked about lip treatment on the youtube world.. Let's do a comparison.

These two are both made in Paris, France. Nuxe has 15g/.52oz and Dior has 7.2g/.25oz of product. Nuxe has a very fresh citrus scent and Dior, of course has a light rosy scent.

They both apply buttery on the lips. I definitely enjoy using both; they are luxurious. Packaging wise, they both come in a jar; though Nuxe does come in lipstick tube form. I'd say they are equally moisturizing. Great as overnight lip treatments or just your everyday lip balm. I wouldn't use these on the go because you have to apply it with either your finger or lip brush/applicator. For sanitary reason, I prefer to use it at home with a cotton swap.

Other than that, these are very comparable. If you can get a hand on either of them, give them a try. I highly recommend them!

Influenster Jolly Vox Box 2013 Review

Supposedly the #jollyvoxbox is the best box influenster has to offer in the year. well, that's what they claimed to be. (last time i qualified for another infulenster box, after i filled out my shipping address and everything, they sent me an email saying they ran out and oops too bad but you'll get the best box of the year, referring to the jollyvoxbox.)

again, why?! holiday gift wrapping maybe? but to be honest, this colorful duct tape with design on them only makes the gift wrapping tackier than ever. Duct tape is good to have around, but why is it in the holiday box?!

Overall, not impressed. If this is the "best" box influenster has to offer. It's quite an disappointment. I must admit I have gotten better boxes from influenster.

DIY gifts - Totoro

For those of you who like totoro, there's what I made using felt for $0.99!

You'll need three felt in total, black, grey, and white. I got mine from micheals for $0.33each.

draw your Totoro on paper, use it as a guide when cutting out totoros body. You'll need 2 identical pieces.

Repeat this step for eyes and belly (2 small circles and 1 rectangle with rounded corners)

Arrange all the pieces together before sewing (or hot glue). Don't forget the 3 ^^^ on totoros chest area. as for totoros nose, an upside down triangle will do

Sew or glue all pieces together leaving a small opening to stuff your totoros with cotton balls, close off the opening and you're done!

Review: Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer & A small update :)

After seeing Essiebutton's rave about the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, I thought why not give it a try.

Love is such a strong word and I don't use it often. But oh man, I love it!

First time around, I got it in "Light" after I color matched myself at superdrug. It was a good match back in mid June. I must have gotten lighten after my Bermuda tan faded. So this time around when I was in London, I picked up another one in "Fair".

Yes, that's how much I love it!

It covers blemishes like no others (I don't conceal my under eyes/dark circles and whatnot, not because I dont have them but I just dont like the look of having conceal under my eyes). It does wear off after a few hours but it wears off beautifully (if you know what I mean). Concealers can look patches and nasty on me after a while, but this one is an exception!

I'm so glad that I gave it a try, and it has became a stable! YAYAY :)

Personal Updates:

Last time I went back to Cali, my friends and family have been telling me that I've change. They told me that I'm much more patient now. Is that a good thing? HAHA. My friend was trying to troll/annoy me for an hour or two, and he was like "why are you not getting annoy or mad?" I thought it was the funniest thing ever.

Oh man, what has this job done to me? Or maybe I'm just getting old.. that now I know how to deal with stress better HAHA!

After all, it is a customer service job. Customers are always right no matter what, so why let them bother me when I know I only have to deal with them for that couple of hours, and the fact I may or may not see them ever again in my life.

What's amazing and crazy about this job is that I don't work with the same people every time. Don't get me wrong, work is not always fun -even thought this job is fun :). I have worked with some crazy people before, and all I had to do was to take a deep breathe, wipe away my tears (long story), and just keep smiling.

There are a lot of ups and downs doing this job. And it is going to be the same no matter which field I'm in. Crazy people are everywhere, but there are a lot more nicer people out there.

I don't know where this is getting to, all I'm saying is that nothing can bother you if you don't let them. simple as that. :)

Some time in June, Easy Canvas Prints contacted me to see if I'd like to do a review for their products/services. Of course, it will be my honest review.

I didn't wanna be "greedy" and do the giveaway&review all together, even though that means I get a bigger canvas, but I wanted to make sure I like what they provide before I sign up for the whole shebang.

Here is the cute canvas I received from Easy Canvas Prints! ( Sorry for the blurry picture, blame Apple for it. haha.)

I ordered it on June 19, 2013.. took 4 business days to get to my door step! (From TX to NJ! not bad!)

The site was pretty easy to navigate, with only a few clicks to complete your order. I'm very impressed with the outcome of the canvas, not because I got it for free, but because it didn't turn out as pixelated as I thought.

REVIEW: ISEHAN Kiss Me Sunkiller BB Perfect Strong Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+++

I have been testing out some new stuff i got from hong kong for about a month now, thought i would let you all know about these awesome products!

ISEHAN Kiss Me Sunkiller BB Perfect Strong Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+++

My friend from hong kong recommended this sunscreen to me (the regular one with no color/tint), I thought why not give it a try. I picked up the bb version of it because this one give a little bit of coverage without being too heavy.

After a month of using it, I can say this is by far my favorite bb/sunscreen now. it is extremely light, perfect for summer. Doesn't clog pores and just enough coverage to make my skin look a bit healthier and brighter. I used to love Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen SPF40, now i think i've found a better alternative to replace it!

Plus, it is cheaper (70-80HKD, which is around $10-15USD).

The only downside is this sunscreen can be hard to find, but I have looked it up on amazon and ebay, both sites have it! yay :)

O'slee UV Block Powder (UVWhite++) SPF 20 PA++

I usually set my sunkiller bb sunscreen with this uv powder. this is a translucent powder that is also very light. I still love my Milani Multitasker Face Powder, it has medium to full coverage but it can be a bit heavy for everyday use. The O'slee UV block powder is perfect for setting foundations and touch up (sunscreen and oil blotting) throughout the day.

BTW, just came back from my 7day mini vacay to LA woohoo! Here is a picture of a beautiful day at Mission Inn in Riverside CA. :)

This is my second time here in London this month because of work. This blog post is dedicated to all you people out there that wants to enjoy London without spending too much. :)

I landed around 11:15am this morning, got to the hotel room around 12:30, washed up a bit and head straight out! Forget the jet lag guys, you gotta do all the walking and shopping in the day because shops here in London close early! Hello world! I'm back!!!

I have been busy and tired for the past month because I was traveling around the world! Been to London, Brazil, and Hong Kong! Life's so adventurous!

Finally get to go to Primark in London and Sasa in Hong Kong. *excited!!! haha

REVIEW Influenster VoxBox Featured May Dish Product Palmolive® soft touch™

Look at what I got in the mail yesterday! My may dish VoxBox! :)

I got two bottles of Palmolive soft touch dish soap, one with vitamin e and one with aloe! There were a couple of $1.00 off coupons along with the package too.

REVIEW: Beauty ADDICTS SHOWOFF Mascara - Glossybox

Got this mascara from one of my June 2012 Glossybox. It's been a long time I know... Anyway, finally got to try this mascara and see how I like it. I sort of had high hopes for this mascara because this mascara reminds me of the infamous fairydrops mascara.

Anyway, needless to say I was disappointed. I actually liked the mascara when I first started using it, about a week or two later it becomes extremely clumpy. The formula became so "wet" and every time I pull out the brush applicator, I will have to wipe off the excess mascara so I don't make a mess or ruin my eye makeup.

Anyway, I personally wouldn't pay $20 for this mascara but again everyone's preference is different..

REVIEW Olay ultra moisture lotion with Shea butter

Woohoo it's a beautiful Sunday morning here in London! 30 mins before I have to head back to the US. Thought I might as well spend the time to write a short review about this Olay lotion I just finished!

First of all, I got it as a freebie when I purchased the Olay ultra moisture body wash, but that doesn't mean I love it as much as I loved the body wash. This lotion would be great for the summer. The scent can be overwhelming but it fades after 20-30 mins. If you wear fragrance on a daily basis, you might have to take this into consideration.

Also, it is not that moisturizing. It's light and non greasy, but this is by far the least moisturizing lotion I ever used. Within 10mins, my hands/body are dry and ill have to reapply.

Overall, will not recommend nor purchase. :(

Anyway, back to my London trip. I can't be happier to be here. London is beautiful place and I would love to come back! Spent half of a day walking around down to see the Tower of London, London bridge, Westminster palace, princess Diana memorial park, Big Ben, and many more!

I can't wait to come back and go to superdrugs, top shop, primark, and boots! Lol

Hello world! It's been too long since my last post! I miss blogging!

Been busy with my new job, but I love it :)
This Cali girl moved all the way to the east coast now! Spent most of my time trying to settle down and everything.

Found an apartment and moved in within a week of arriving NJ. What!?!

Still can't believe I packed my life in two small luggage and moved all the way across the country for this job. But I'm glad I did it because I know it's worth it!

I went back to Cali to visit friends and family, my BFF told me that I looked happier than ever. My mom was so interested in my travel experiences (my current job requires a lot of traveling) which is crazy because she is just always been careless of what her daughter does for a living... (I did marketing before and she never really cared what I did for work lol)

This whole training/new job/moving/leaving cali experience is simply overwhelming. Lots of ups and downs but I'm glad I'm done with the moving and now all I have to focus on is to get through my probation!

Anyway, two days ago I got an email from influenster saying that there's a new VoxBox on its way! Weeeeeee :)
