What’s the best way to split liquidity in a startup?

50%/50%, avoid conflict by providing equal amount for each founder.
But what if one of the founders contributes too little or even nothing to the company afterwards?

Don’t rush. Make a contract that will allow you to decide how to split the liquidity later in the process and based on everyone’s contribution.
Ideally, have some formulas in the contract that will allow you to review everyone’s contribution from time to time, and re-distribute the shares accordingly.

Don’t write angry emails. There at least two very solid reasons for this.

First, it’s very difficult to express your emotions and tone in writing, thus your message can be understood and perceived completely different that what you have intended.

Second, delivering a “bad” message face to face allows you to observe their immediate reaction, thus understand whether the person admitted their fault or is inclined to advance the conflict.

If you cannot avoid writing an angry email, don’t start writing it right away. Take 30-60 minutes to do something else, get calm and then write the message in a nice way.

Content, whether it’s published on paper or online, should always serve the reader. People buy books, newspapers, magazines, and online documents because they want to find useful and relevant information that will satisfy their personal or professional needs.

Think about serving your content the same way as serving food in a restaurant. People walk in to a restaurant to satisfy their need for food, and they access your content to satisfy their need for information. If your content doesn’t prove to be useful, nor relevant, the readers may not want to buy it again, and you may need to fire your <del>chef</del> author.
