Why I'm Getting into Dead Space

Every month I give a go at a franchise's which usually I don't play and I try to keep with it to see if it is for me or not. That's why this time it was Dead Space 2. Now I had made order for the first game but got the sequel instead, which is good, and I just started playing today and feels like another franchise I'll hold too.

Once I got everything ready I started this game up whilst already having fear on what to come. The first ting I went into was the on-line, reason being that way I felt surrounded by other players and could start getting used to the game. Frankly I couldn't believe how much I was enjoying it! It felt fresh and even if it was nothing special the modes were something I liked, felt like L4D and that is always good.

The second day I went for the singleplayer and whilst still not sure how scary it would be I resolved by turning the sound down and putting my headphones on with the TVandLust podcast which I loved, in fact this was my second go at the last podcast. Without even knowing the game flew buy up to chapter 2 and I had no scare or hate towards the game but instead I loved it. Then the podcast was over and the next one was still downloading. I took headphone off and finally got my family jewels to work. And there I went and the experience changed, in a good way. The sound changes the game so much. The atmosphere gets better and the scares are pulled off better and well I went up to the end of chapter 3 this way.

It is surprising, I hate horror or survival games but why did I love it so much? Probably because it is one of those who has good controls and doesn't feel clunky 99% of the time. The shooting mechanics felt great and the amazing graphics with some sick lighting were enough to keep me at it. It is hard to believe and admit it but I have to, Dead Space 2 is fantastic and nowadays there is no denying that and this summer I'll probably get over with this and the first one. I already ordered the Downfall DVD which was selling cheap to get more in the franchise and the first one should be home this month. Give it a chance, it is more than horror survival-it is a great 3rd person shooter!

Nintendo's last hope is Zelda.

Since the Wii was released people were already thinking at what time it was going to become obsolete to it's end. People saw it too lacking in terms of power and third-party support. Yet it went against everyone and keeps selling and gets cheaper for everyone to own but does this lengthen it's age? Probably not.

The Wii is a greaet console which seems likely that it will be brough down by Nintendo themselves. Don't get me wrong, Nintendo showed support when nobody believed in them and overcome these obstacles but it seems that now that the name is out and the Wii gained the sales and reputation, it has now become a future console classic.

This year's E3 seemed like the Wii barely was still alive, I know they showed the 3DS and the upcoming console Wii U but what about this year? there could be a whole two years until we see the new console if things go for the long and that is a long time to put just games for the 3DS. This year, 2011 seems like the year in which the Wii will only gratify you for playing and removing the dust to play the upcoming Zelda Skyward Sword which indeed looks like a masterpiece. If you have other consoles which you play the third party games there is really no other reason and they still didn't show. I'm looking forward to this next Zelda, looks beautiful and gameplay wise very interesting.

All around all I can think is why do this? Nintendo has very good reputation with the fans and knows that they have to deliver but keeping it up to Zelda to meet the needs of a whole year seems to much. No doubt there will be a couple of more gems scattered trough the year but Nintendo gotta show us so more and make an ending year for the Wii a worthwhile one!

WiiU IS OFFICAL!

Just ended, the WiiU is shown and it looks great. The first demo was stupid enough to show Miis and stuff but then the real shit came to make this console something different...controller is absolutely something I never seen and I believe in and also the third-party support is great.

Darksiders 2, Tekken, Ghost Recon Online...BATTLEFIELD 3??? That is just enough to sell me. I also loved the graphics demo and probably better than the 360 and PS3 especially in a couple of years.

Next Nintendo Console at E3 2011 Confirmed!

The rumors were spreading and I did a couple of videos. many suggested this was just a bunch of bull shit to get the hype about the next e3. I personally felt this was all true and that this was a great move. Before I explain that, the next console will be playable and shown off with specs at the next E3 for sure and was confirmed by Nintendo Japan. Sources confirm that its more powerful than a PS3 and an Xbox 360 whilst also being backward comptabile with Wii titles. The controller is also supposed to be tablet like with a 6-inch touch screen and also analog sticks, seems kinda weird but I'm sure Nintendo will pull it off well.

I suppose this was the best move because this will be revolutionary like the Wii was. So many people negate the fact that Wii was revolutionary but more like a failure compared to hardware, truth is that it was by fare the most revolutionary in gaming in the recent years, control wise and audience. It was a console to proof that a good price with fun and appreciable games could get many more people to play games whilst also delivering their exclusives to fans. They manages to get the motion controls right to be the gimmick that made the Wii famous bu that indeed worked. Wiis are today spread wide around the world and for good reason. The motion controls which so many fanboys criticized were than implemented into newer consoles. Long gone the days PS3's users considered the Wii controls for FPS stupid and not accurate since now with the Move they are playing Killzone 3. They even made the consumer pay way more to have this functionality than what Nintendo offered. Then Microsoft came along and avoiding a total Wii control ripoff showed a technology which could make motion gaming and entertainment future. Kinect truly impresses with its amazing controls and functionality and the amount of possibility behind that big black bar on your TV is immense and will be implemented on more hardware and for more reasons. Thing is, they all did this because Nintendo did it, nowdays I see the Wii as the one who revolutionized what Sony and Microsoft considered to be gaming and had to adapt. Now Nintendo will launch their new console, the one before any other!

the fact that the console will be the first of the next generation will mean that gamers who are looking to play on newer hardware with great titles, hopefully Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 will look into the system and it offerings. long time fans will enjoy classics on an HD platform with more possibilities and Wii owners will be interested into testing the new console which is the sequel of the fun 1-month Wii Sport used console. This is a great move and could change what Sony and Microsoft will start to produce in the future and their upcoming console. no doubt they will make it better, but most probably they will take what this new console has done well and try to do it on their own, thing I know, I'll always support Nintendo even fi I might not like this next console.

Next Nintendo Console 'Project Cafe'!??

Woah! It seems like yesterday that I did a video where I talked about how the Wii would not survive 2012. Many understood my point whilst other said my talk was just meaningless and that the Wii would still live on with some upcoming game. My point was this, the Wii game library lately has been lacking apart from some games which could actually not even release in EU or US (Pandora's Box). The Wii sales even if always high they did drop down and this means there needs to be a move from Nintendo.

Rumors have always been spreading BUT not as some details we have seen lately with some showing its actual hardware, it CPU and graphic card. This console is said to be refereed as Project Cafe' which is like Project Coffee and the last details are on the controllers it might have. The controller is said to have a 6 inch touch screen on it with also physical buttons, most saying also analog sticks. It also said to have an integrated camera and also acts as a Wii sensor bar which makes sense since it is rumored to be backward comptabile.

I think this is some cool move by Nintendo and look like it will be easier to developers to move their games to the Wii without ruining their games and keeping the same version as other consoles whilst also giving you the opportunity to play first party games, Mario and Zelda on some beast hardware, since also first said it could be more powerful than 360 and PS3 which seems reasonable since it also might mean to have a date of a late release in 2012.

Geohot!?

Hacking is big and its on everything. The PS1, the PS2 and now the PS3 all have come to be hacked whilst having the PS3 the hardest one to do yet. As for me I don't see hacking your own system you bought a bad thing IF you are mainly doing this to get the most out of your system such as Homebrew or other stuff like playing DVDs (movies) on the Wii. Whilst you go and buy a system you know it is yours and it is sad to think that big companies such as SONY are always somehow in control of you system and with the right to block certain services. The 360 has been obviously hacked and people play pirated games for long time now but it never seemed Microsoft made a huge deal as SONY did but probably thing was SONY was not expecting it to happen after such a long time in the market with nobody managing to do.

Short note, I don't follow the hacking scene but this is what I think. I kind of expect SONY to take some action but it seems kind of destruction of Geohot. SONY has the money and the people to actually get justice (which even then, now that the hack is out it doesn't really matter) and I don't have any trouble with that but I don't feel Geohot to be a criminal, yes he did hack it indeed but its up to the people to actually use this for piracy and playing game without paying. Should a single guy get life ruined because SONY want justice? I don't feel it should and as many people think these big companies should follow these words "if you can't beat them, join them!" so when they are working on a new console, maybe PS4, go get these guys to work for you rather than against you! Goodluck Geohot!

(P.S I'm not saying hacking is right or to be justified and I don't follow the case enough to know if Sony have the right to sue on certain action taken by Geohot.)

PS3 Price Drop is interesting...

The PS3 has always been a console which was pricey, with its debut it showed me I would have to wait a bit of years until I get one and maybe the time arrived. The PS3 has been decreasing price and improving upon until ow we have the slim version which offers most what is did before, cheaper and slimmer and even if by looks I prefer the fat I always bought the slim versions of both the ps1 and ps2. Lately the news that shops and online sites are listing the PS3 for very cheaper prices has bee going around and its actually so with some offers being absolutely incredible meeting the price point of 200 EUROS. Now is this good? Sure it is! both for us and Sony and it was definitely the right moment.

So being that the PS3 decreased so much in price it means it will be more profitable and people are more to consider buying over cheaper solutions. These prices will mean many people will buy this console and this time its good because if it is meeting the price of 360 and pre-ordering of the 3DS many people might decided again where to spend their cash. If these prices are actually used in local shops I might get one this year, as I said if LOCAL SHOPS follow these which won't be easy. This price will affect most sales no doubt, even if the 3DS will still sell people who still have not bought a PS3 they might aswell spend the money on a much powerful piece of hardware considering a Blu Ray player and some AAA titles on it. I personally am excited for both 3DS and NGP but personally if I had to chose whilst paying money which are in the same water I would not think twice to buy the PS3.

Well maybe you still wouldn't do it because the 3DS is something new and its Nintendo but personally I want to get the most out of my money and the PS3 no doubt delivers a much better overall experience, no I'm not dissing on the 3DS but just stating my fact and that this was a great move from Sony. Did this price drop get you interested to get a PS3?

Looking Forward at Gaming in 2011

2011. What a year, probably one of the years I am most hyped to even live in. Reasons can be numerous but mostly is that atleast this should be enough time before 2012 begins and I start to shiver about doomsday, yes I'm serious becuase even if nothin happens I still would feel scared but as every year gaming can calm me down and next year there are humongous ammount of stuff to look forward.

First of all are the console releases, yes the NGP and the 3DS and maybe another thin....who knows maybe. I'm not technically looking forward to actually BUY them but more to just get a final impression about them to say which in my opinion is best and maybe 6 months after their release I'll get my hands on one of them. I can't wait ot watch the first couple of unboxing on Youtube, hear their impressions and see some action. I hopefully will be fortunate enough to get atleast one of them even then I might actually try to get a PS3 instead ( I can't get over the fact I have not yet played Uncharted :( ) Ahhh this is enough to keep me good for a whole year!

Now the games are something which are even better. A list to fulfill anyone needs is to be released and apart from all these new titles I still do play each year some old releases, some totally retro and some last year games which I haven't had chance to pickup. This year apart of game like Gears of War 3 which is my most anticipated right now there is L.A Noire which looks sick, new Batman game, the great looking Tomb Raider reboot and the Battlefield FPS which looks like the best looking FPS on the market and maybe something even better than the COD we have been playing, hopefully true to give new FPS franchises a bit more chance in competing with the big COD. Games don't stop there and definitely the more we go deep in the year the more unheard gems will release and will show to be the best of the year and I also be playing some games which I would never miss like the new FIFA, which I play even if I know no major upgrade happened.Oh and who is not waiting for the next E3!? I'll be watching that day and night 24/7 even if technically its not over 7 days.

That are probably the main thing but definitely there will be more stuff like looking after my YouTube channel hopefully meeting 500 subs by the first month of 2012 (hopefully) There are few other things on my min which can come out this year but this article is long enough so I'll leave you with this last sentence. Every year I see where gaming is going and the more I get excited even if I know my pockets aren't big enough!

3DS hitting Europe on March 25 for €349 and Software at €44

Is this possible!? Who knows but since its a rumour that means its possible and the more I think about it the more possible it seems. now that there is an official list of the 3DS features and details it looks like this is the big next thing in handheld gaming so no doubt price wise it will be high but never expected such prices to tell you the truth. If the 3DS will launch at this price it will be hard for me to even consider it a buy and most probably I would end up getting something like a PS3 over it or who knows...a PSP2!?

let's hope that soon enough Nintendo will show us the last official prices and details so everyone can make their minds about where to get it or not and let the wars begin with a bunch of rants or a bunch of videos glorifying Nintendo. Right now I feel disappointed, not by the hardware of course but the price and even if I know not everyone is as caring as much as me when it involves money I know a few extra bucks in everyone's pocket these times are just welcome.

Why I don't want 3D!!!

It's the new big thing, 3D is everywhere and in these years we seen it move from the big screen to homes and anything you can imagine it for. Whilst it has made success I have always been sceptic about this technology. 3D was ugly back when as a kid we watched short movies at theatres because it made me feel dizzy but considering how impressive was the new 3D when i watched Tron Legacy i felt that this was something that work. Even if it is nice to watch these movies at theatres I just don't imagine myself doing so at home. I don't want 3D to be the ext big thing (even if it's already) I just want it to be something limited and not try to incorporate it in everything.

Most probably the only 3D that got me interested was the Nintendo 3DS. Apart from it being by Nintendo, when I heard it was glasses free I got my hypes up for a better future. Sure you must have to hate wearing weird glasses all time or whilst playing the game in a waiting room whilst people look weird at you. the 3DS said it from start, no glasses and hopefully when I will get one it will be a decent 3D to make wearing the glasses obsolete for the future. The 3DS will be huge in the 3D market and will definitely help more people to see that 3D is good and make people buy the new 3D TVs.

Now you might ask yourself why I even wrote that title. Well, I don't hate 3D or I'm not willing to use it in future BUT certainly I would choose rather no to have 3D. I feel that it just won't work with everyone unless we start to have glasses free 3D technology and cheaper prices to get these babies because for the price they go they are not something people are willing to spend even if its a cool thing to have one. I would only feel that if I'd ever buy a 3DTV with glasses as most are being sold it would be too hard for me to get other people, especially family members to sit and watch moves with the glasses because they just would feel weird. 3D is cool and I'm pretty sure this is where it will go but I don't want it to change, I don't want everything to be in 3D because the novelty is just wearing off and its getting too much. Agree or not this was what I think.

I got a KINECT!

I taught about whether to buy a Kinect for quite a while but I personally taught that it was too much money to spend considering I had quitted on playing my Wii standing up and decided to play only games where no jumping or shaking involved, it was fun but then you get bored. The Kinect says it all, no controllers needed and it works as said no gimmick. I have been able to save a couple of money for the Christmas time and apart from spending money on just hanging out with my friends I managed to save up for one. I personally didn't want one at all but then I saw I had the money so I said why not and just the day after I bought it and what a deal. Kinect is amazingly fun, works smoothly and it shows that it has some future. It comes with a game, Kinect Adventures and I loved the game even if gets boring it does show you its potential and for a free game it works out well plus you can buy some extra titles like Kinect Sports. I had not enough time to burn it but enough to see that Kinect is the best motion game and for having fun with friends or ease of use Kinect is perfect. Maybe you are wondering why buying this if just a couple of months ago you bought your Wii or maybe it has been in the dust for the last year with no use but if your main console is the XBOX360 and you want to make the 360 more accessible and with more functionality well this is perfect. I can't what to pick up a fitness game (just to give it another try after Wii Fit) and then Dance Central which is the only dancing game I enjoy.

Layton vs Ace Attorney!? That is epic...

What a beautiful feel to watch the beautiful trailer, see Layton and Ace face each other. I was blown away about how awesome it looked. Layton style is great by itself and it is not the same as Ace style. When you match them you'd think it would not work but YES it does.

The coolest part is that this will be a mix of puzzles and crime investigations. This looks like it will be every fan dream. Capcom and Level-5 will do some great job. I really hope that there will be an europe release and this is why more and more I want a 3DS. I need to win the lottery or something because I love the look of this apart from all the other cool 3DS games coming out. Watch the trailer. Watch my video where I speak about this, click here.

Winter Gaming.

Oh, how cold is it? Here I feel like I'm an ice cube. The temperature is so cold and I have my fingers which I don't seem to feel at all. When it's winter gaming is more to me. I just enjoy waring some heavy clothes and playing some FIFA or my NDS. This is the time where every minute you play don't feel useless and you just enjoy it.

this winter I think I'll clearly be playing some games and I can't wait for December, cause December = Money = Games. I am really excited for some of the titles to launch this December especially November, we have some good games to tear ourselves from playing. Call of Duty Black Ops is a game I will spend my holidays on and try to get some footage and commentary, I really wanna improve on the Wii version so it will be time consuming. The thing is, whereas Gaming during hot days felt boring because you melted on your seat and you would preferred getting out and enjoy a good day out, in winter you search cosiness and you enjoy challenging the night whilst playing some games.

Here I am freezing so I better be off.

XBOX 360 Exclusives I'm anticipating...

Now that I have a 360 and have started to game on this platform I recently was able to play games like Halo 3, Gears of War and Forza 2 which enabled to me to discover the exclusive of 360. I'm not able to buy each games when they release and right now I'm broke. I'm not a first day game release whore which means after a game has been out for a week I quit on it. I like to buy games cheap and have fun and I play games a year or two old with no problem at all. This time I want to tell you what are my most anticipated exclusive games.

# When I got the 360, GOW was the game I was excited for. the game looked full of gore and bloody fun. When then I bought it and played it I was right. I was excited to see Marcus shoot all those weird things I didn't care for why I was doing so. GOW has great look and game play feels solid and the cover system is the best. Gears of War is the game which excites me for having a 360 yet I still need to finish it up. So that means one of my most anticipated game is Gears of War 3 which looks awesome and great if I get to play GOW 2 before.

OH MY GEAR! MGS is most probably the on gaming franchise I played but sadly failed to enjoy and also to like. The only past MGS game I played was the one on the PS2, looked good but at the time I played it I actually lost interest and was to difficult for me. I don't enjoy stealth BUT Rising is like what I've been hoping from the series. Rising is fast, fun, action packed and awesome but especially its for 360 so that's a thumbs up. I can't wait to see how they deliver it to the 360.

Lionhead Studios is a studio I respect, one of the games I drained much hours on is The Movies, most probably you don't know about it but it is such a good game (Lionhead, please make a sequel!) Fable is a game I'm looking forward to play and for now the third one could be one of the best and I can't wait for its release. I will probably get the second before but the third game looks to be the Fable to play.

Oh! Its Crytek. Yes, i have to admit that Crytek produces some games which are mind blowing like Crysis. I played it, technically it was stunning but than story was it wasn't my thing. The new Crytek game for 360 which is Project Kingdom is something I look forward. I'm not having a clear view of the game and what it will be all about but hell yeah, it's Crytek.

It's true Kinect seems to be another motion game but man I would buy it first day if I had the money, thing is I don't have the space. I will plan to get it someday and Kinect looks like the no controller thing something different than my Wii or anything I ever tried. Kinect has a good line up for now and games will improve by time for sure. Kinect has to be something awesome and if it works as good as it shows it will be a dream. Man oh man, i'm ready to jump! Sort of.

That's all, but I have some couple of more games. The remaining of this year and upcoming year of 2011 looks like a good gaming year with some sick tittles to come. I want to get and play some more games and some multi platform games look like they will be the best of the year. I want games like Mass Effect 3, Forza 4 and XCom. Man, it will be a fun year. Black Ops WII Headset!

Hey guys, it is Dylan here and I want to start making some actual blogs. I will do my effort to write what I'm up to and talk about some news. So here we are...

Yes! What you are seeing is an actual, official Wii headset which will be the first true headset and looks amazing. So the headset is actually looking really nice. The first image shows a Limited Edition Black Ops one which looks great but black which won't suit my white look. This will retail at $24.99 but there will be a white version too with same price just no Black Ops mark. The worst is that it works via USB and since they re on the back of my Wii it will be weird having the controllers wire free then the microphone having one. Let's hope it just works and it will be fine. Maybe this means in the next 2 years we will see more Wii hardware on sale and more effort into making more cool stuff which are needed in 2010 gaming. Trash talking is coming on Wii guys, better be ready.

I have done another video about Black Ops and the Headset and the fact of no Classic Controller control scheme with this game which is, well unexpected considering Goldeneye will have it. Let's hope we don't find this control scheme better on Goldeneye and feel that Black Ops is missing. I have started school which has a bit kicked me from my gaming dose but I'm still doing the best I can to check what I can each day and play enough each time because its gaming that keeps me going on in school days.
