The first time I tried Mee Tarik Warisan Asli was about 2 years back when we chanced upon a branch at Kota Damansara - The Strand area (yes.. we eat around that area a lot 😄) Le husband is a chinese noodle fan (handmade noodles only) and when he saw the branch, he insisted on eating there. Moi wasn't impressed. I don't rreally like to eat at these authentic Chinese Muslim restaurants (Hui Cuisines) because they charge quite a lot for a dish and give you huuuuge portion that is for sharing that you end up either ordering a variety of dishes which can then feed an army OR eating one or two dishes that you have to share. Ok, so back to Mee Tarik @ The Strand - we ate once, I wasn't impressed cos it didn't suit my then very small kids palate. We found the noodles to be too spicy and we never set foot there again.

And then.. one day, my husband was being super nice to me and said he will bring me to Melawati Mall as I wanted to check out Rina Salleh's boutique there and delightfully attended to the kids while I shopped. As a gesture of appreciation, I said we can eat at Mee Tarik (don't judge me okaaaaay).

The branch at Melawati Mall was spacious and ordering was a breeze. I don't know if they had revamped their menu since my last visit or I wasn't aware of all the dishes offered back then. But, there were fried rice options and egg drop soup for my kiddo that can't stand the heat. So, all was good.

Bao Bao Tea (in the backgroudn) and also I think this dish is wet noodle with lamb. Oh My God, this dish is super delicious! The noodle was soo smooth although a bit spicy. The lamb goes very well with the noodle. I was trying this while my husband went to pray (cos our order did not arrive yet) and I had to restraint myself from polishing off half of the bowl

Halal Chinese Noodles @ Melawati Mall - KL

I ordered this mainly for my no 1, cos the description in the menu states something like fried noodle but this dish was a bit overwhelming for us. Maybe too much black pepper? and the texture of the noodle is different from the first dish. Both of my sons preferred the first dish over this.

Toothpick Lamb @ Mee Traik Warisan - Melawati Mall

This is a snack dish - toothpick lamb. The serving is big really, and its too spicy for me and the kids. We let Le Husband eat it by himself.

Egg drop soup @ Mee Traik Warisan - Melawati Mall

This soup was ordered for my 2 yo because I didn't know Le Husband ordered Dumpling Soup as well (not in picture) ah well, all for the best because he ate it straight from the humongous bowl even though he was sick and they gave serving bowls and he left me salivating over the dumplings which looked so silky - sigh)

This egg drop soup was also heart-warmingly delicious, if I wasn't too full and the bowl wasn't too huge, I could have slurped it to the last drop>

Fried rice @ Mee Tarik Warisan - Melawati Mall

So, much to my surprise, they have fried rice @ Mee Tarik! haha my kiddo ate a lot of it. So, I am a satisfied mum.

I was not a fan then, but am definitely a fan now, if only because of the lamb noodle dish and the dumpling soup! Will definitely come again.

Kita orang sebelum ni pernah pergi Rumah Makan Cibiuk yang dekat Wangsa Maju tu beberapa kali, sedap tapi tak sempat2 nak tulis entri, tahu2 dah lama nah haha, jadi since yang cawangan Kota Damansara ni baru buka dan kita pun baru juga lah terjah.. jadi blog ler cepat2 sebelum basi.

Yang ni untuk I, sebab dah muak makan ayam, tapi nak order tilapia teringat pulak cerita macam2 yang tak best pasal tilapia yang diternak, so I order bawal saja lah.. sambalnye pedas dan kick, ikan dia sangat rangup di luar dan lembut di dalam, jenuh nak perabih sambal, lupa lah pulak sebelah bawah ikan takde sambal 😂

Untuk anak I yang no 2 dan 3, mereka makan nasi goreng.. Ya Allah sedap betul nasi goreng ni, rasa butter dan kicap, makan dah dingin pun masih sedap haha.. tu satay dalam gambar ada satu je, tapi sebenarnya ada dua. Kalau part satay ni, I tak suka versi Indonesia :) I suka versi Malaysia haha.

Ya Allah, kenyang sangat haritu.. balik terus tidur hahaha.. tak boleh datang selalu ni.. nanti tahu2 je dah naik 5 kg 😆😆😆

Easy cooking with Kids - No Bake Cookie Dough

My happy kid with his no bake cookie dough which was delicious!

Twas the last day of school before the Christmas break and the teachers indulged the kids with some cooking at school. My son liked it so much that he insisted on making it at home with his brothers the very next day 😊

Since I had some time to kill, I bought the ingredients during my last grocery run and the 3 boys happily made this super easy no bake cookie dough in the afternoon.

His handwritten recipe :)

So the recipe for the no bake cookie dough is as such:

1) 1/2 cup of butter (we used salted)

2) 1/3 cup brown sugar

(mix 1 and 2 together)

3) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4) 1/4 teaspoon of salt

5) 1 cup flour

mix all of together

6) 3/4 cup of mini choc chips (add them at the end - we used the normal milk choc chips not the minis)

mix all well together, shape it into small balls and put it in the fridge for 15-20 mins.

No bake cookie dough - how it looks like before we made it into balls and pop them in the fridge

Yeay! So easy even my 2.5 yo took turns mixing the dough and shaping them into balls 😄

Go ahead try them with your kids and let me know how they turned out 😄😄😄

Halal Food @ Tampines Hub - I am.. (my no 2 insisted on getting in the frame - sigh)

Back in Singapore again for a short return and the kids were hungry. My husband and I weren't really craving for any "Singapore dishes" so we decided to grab easy western food for the kids to eat. Since we were near Tampines, Tampines Hub is easiest to access cos of plenty of parking spaces even on a weekend 😬 We tried Commonground before so I suggested "I am..." at level 3 next to HomeTeamNS (take lift at Lobby F).

I am @ level 3 Tampines Hub - I prefer the cozy set up here over the one at Bugis

I prefer I am @ Tampines over the Bugis outlet as it is air-conditioned here and much much safer for my kids to run about (yes my kids can't sit still), menu wise it is the same. So, I expected taste-wise to be more or less the same also. (Read nice enough for kids okay for the parents)

I am not sure what drink my husband ordered, I kind of remembered it tasting like a mix of grape and lychee. I think it's called Berry Nice . It's sweet and refreshing but I like mine better haha.. My kiddo had Lemon Tea tasted ok, lemon is not overpowering and I had my favorite Bushramint it tasted like punch with mint, both mine and husband's have soda in it so our kids didn't like it.

Appetizers - Crispy Soft Shell Crab and Baked Garlic Butter Prawns @ I am.. Tampines Hub

My no 1 and hubby share the same love for soft shell crab so this appetizer was for them. No complaints here, they finished it up. Batter is not too crispy and not oily. As for the prawns, I wasn't expecting big prawns even though the description is "jumbo prawns" cos I ordered this dish before at Haji Lane and the prawns that came were definitely not jumbo. However, the ones we got at Tampines Hub is a bit fleshier (you can't control this much any way I think, cos maybe it's seasonal? not sure about that) and since I wasn't really expecting heavenly mouth watering garlic sauce with sweet fleshy prawns, what they served was acceptable if you don't set your expectations high (hey, just look at the price man it's $14.90 for 6 pieces of prawns, so adjust your expectations people).

Ribs @ I am - Tampines Hub

Husband ordered ribs, the ribs was so-so by his standard, he didn't touch the salad and the wedges was a bit too dry for me. Regardless he finished up the ribs.

Mac and Cheese and Mini Margherita Pizza for the kids

The mac & cheese were super cheesy although the pasta was a bit hard, however, my 9 year old really liked this. The pizza was also scoffed down by my kids even though some parts of the pizza was overflowing with the base sauce.

Lamb Satay Burger for myself @ I am - Tampines Hub

The description on the menu reads : "Slow grilled lamb satay served with mint cucumber cumin yoghurt, ain't your typical satay cravings" So, being the lamb satay lover that I am and since I can not resist mint yoghurt, I decided to give it a try. The lamb burger was nicely marinated and the yoghurt was refreshing however, the pairing was overall ordinary. Maybe, if the burger is served with satay sauce and then there is a salad side with yoghurt mint sauce or garlic sauce, it will be nicer? Also, my fries came cold.

Verdict? I actually like this cafe because.. it's nice food for my kids. Frankly speaking for a date night with my husband, I wouldn't choose this cafe cos it is not worth the calories but for a nice dinner or lunch with the kids, this cafe will be on my list. Place is also clean and the staff friendly. It's a halal cafe by Muslim owners and we should support them. Rather than Swensen's or Commonground, which serves same typical fare, I would go here just to support my fellow Muslims. Keep improving I am and we will keep supporting.

Halal Restaurant @ TTDI - Flavours Kitchen

We chanced upon Flavours Kitchen @ TTDI while heading to Santai Kitchen for dinner and decided to give it a shot (mostly because it has aircon = no smokers when indoors 😬 which is so important to us for a relaxing dinner with kids).

Flavours seems quite familiar, I am not sure if it is related to Flavours at Bangsar (we went there aeons ago and have never been back cos of the horrible parking and mediocre food -in my opinion- not sure if its still open)

Food served is a mix of Asian and western offerings. It works great for us cos my no 3 loves rice (nasi goreng to be exact) and my no 2 loves carbonara, so finding a place that serves both that tastes acceptable is a score for us.

We went there slightly before 8pm, there was not too many people. Decor was quite nice and relaxing, they have a small area for prayers and also an area for ablution.

Food arrived quite ok, not too late, acceptable waiting time I guess since my kids were not acting up.

Mushroom Soup @ Flavours Kitchen TTDI

Mushroom soup cos my no 3 likes it and I thought it will come first so it would be great to let him eat that while waiting for the mains (but the mains came quite soon after 😅 The soup is not too thick and not too creamy, no hint of black pepper, overall easy on the kids throat, though I would not say it is earth shatteringly the best mushroom soup ever. But I would say that it is perfect for kids to enjoy. It comes with battered mushroom and two pieces of garlic bread (hidden in the small bowl under the battered mushrooms).

Fried Mushrooms @ Flavours Kitchen TTDI

I have to say that we went here twice, so the first time we ordered mushroom soup, the fried mushrooms that came with it were not coated in the same batter, it was nice and not spicy. The second time we came and ordered mushroom soup, it came with fried mushrooms which is the same as the above appetizer dish that my husband ordered. This time around, I find the batter to be a bit too spicy for my liking, even without dipping it in mayo / chili sauce. I didn't eat a lot of this. Mostly my husband ate this and we didn't finish it up.

Cheeseburger @ Flavours Kitchen - TTDI

We ordered cheeseburger for my no 1 the first time we came. He really liked it and even my no 3 liked it very much. The patty was nice, the bun was soft, my no 1 surprisingly liked the mustard on the plate. Burger is huge for one boy but too small for two to share 😅

Carbonara for my no 2 @ Flavours Kitchen TTDI

Spaghetti Carbonara with bacon for my no 2, the sauce was thick, creamy and cheesy. Not your typical carbonara, maybe a tad too cheesy for me but still nice and sinful. (I was counting the calories while I ate the leftovers)

Steak @ Flavours Kitchen - TTDI

My no 2 also requested for steak that night, so husband got to share with him. Flavours Kitchen is no MeatPoint of course but it was an ok steak, vege was ok though the potato croquet was quite cold, sauce was so-so. Nice enough.

Yong Chow Fried Rice @ Flavours Kitchen TTDI

This was mostly for my no 3, cos he eats fried rice everywhere we go. Fried chicken is very simple, I like the charred taste of the prawns, the fried rice is simple and perfect for toddlers. Portion is huge though and we packed for next day's breakfast.

On our way out, I saw their breakfast banner. It's an all day breakfast and they served shakshuka 😋 so.. maybe next time we might catch breakfast there too.. the place opens early at 8am.

Restoran Thai Halal (Waneeda Tom Yam) @ Dataran Sunway / Kota Damansara

Hah.. ni dia.. Waneeda Tom Yam.. akhirnya kita menjejak kaki juga di sini.. restoran ni sebelah je dengan Chilli's Crab. Hari tu dah try Chilli's Crab, kali ni try Waneeda pula. Waneeda Tom Yam ni ada dua branch yang saya tahu, satu dekat rumah kedai belakang Sri KDU dan lagi satu di rumah kedai antara Sunway Giza dan Sunway Nexis. Yang branch di Sri KDU tu adalah restoran yang buat I jatuh cinta dengan Nasi Goreng Tom Yam, memang padu! pergi restoran lain semua tak sama. Jadi bila ada orang beritahu yang Waneeda Tom Yam di Dataran Sunway ni lagi power, memang lah patut kita terjah :) Tempat ni open untuk buka puasa dan sahur sekali tau! yes sahur! Ya Allah maybe next Ramadhan lah hahaha... tapi kalau buka memang kena booking.. kalau tak memang tak berbuka :P

(sekarang sotong telur asin @ Sara Thai macam lain sikit tak macam yang kita ingat :p ) Nampak gaya ini akan menjadi hidangan wajib kami kalau ke Waneeda Tom Yam. Seriously sedap! Yang ni memang fave kita kalau pergi MANA2 restoran thai, tak kiralah Thai Express ke, Absolute Thai ke, Boat Noodle ke.. tapi yang sini lagi WIN! Pad Kaprow dia memang authentic, lagi sedap dari Boat Noodle wokay! pedas dan manis, yum yum.

Kang Kung Goreng @ Waneed Tom Yam

Yang ni husband order gak, jadi I tak tahu ni kang kung goreng belacan ke kang kung goreng biasa je.. dia tak pedas, tapi I tak rasa pulak belacan. My only complain? Kang kung dia banyak sangat batang, tak banyak daun.

Pulut Durian @ Waneeda Tom Yam; Dataran Sunway (Kota Damansara)

Yang ni I yang order, teringin nak makan durian, bila nampak serving ala2 tuang santan sendiri, terdetik dalam hati "ni mesti mahal".. hmm.. memang pun, tak silap kena belasan untuk pulut durian tu.. yang ni I disappointed sebab pulut dia tawar, santan dia manis tapi macam tak berapa pekat, dan yang paling boring tu.. durian dia tak syiok.. maybe belum musim durian sangat.. so.. next time tak order lah yang ni.

Kakak tu cakap Waneeda Tom Yam @ Dataran Sunway sedap lagi dari Waneeda Tom Yam yang dekat belakang Sri KDU so.. malam tu kebetulan suami tanya nak makan mana? I pun cakap jom try Waneeda Tom Yam! Tapi parking kat situ teruk kan.. double parking, susah nak keluar lagi.. so.. kita park di Sunway Nexis je senang sebab Waneeda Tom Yam ni di deretan rumah kedai yang antara Sunway Giza dan Sunway Nexis.. sekali on the way to Waneeda, lagi setapak je.. husband dah terpandang Restoran Chilli's Crab sebelah Waneeda.. ok.. takde rezeki Waneeda malam tu.. jadi kita makan Chilli's Crab sebab husband nak makan ketam :p

Restoran nampak macam penuh tapi makanan datang cepat dan orang makan pun cepat, takde duduk2 lama2 melepak, so memang tak tunggu lama.

Husband order ketam masak chili kan.. memang sedap lagi2 cicah dengan roti mantou macam kat bawah ni. Roti ni mahal sikit tak silap RM0.60 satu biji lembut tapi tawar. Anak2 i tak berapa suka.

Wookayyys.. this is a really overdue post back when Mr Husband was not so busy and we managed to squeeze in a date night. I didn't really want to eat anything much so I said let's just go for something light and since I have not had my mum's Vietnamese roll for a loooooong time (my mum is NOT Vietnamese by the way :p ) I said let's just go to Super Saigon (cos hubby went a few times with his project mates but never brought me *eyeroll* )

Well, hubby did not bring me here earlier for a very good reason.. I am just not a fan of pho 😬 I mean give me sup mamak, Indonesian sup buntut or Malay thick sup ayam or sup buntut (no fuss) anytime man but pho? too clear for my taste 😬so now you know why.. so maybe this review is going to be a bit biased.

Well, I came only for the rolls. So, we ordered that plus pho and fried kway teow.

Super Saigon @ TTDI claims that they use halal meat from Australia so eat at your own discretion yeah.

So, I ordered beef balls and briskets cos I like meat over chicken when it comes to soup noodles (okay so maybe I was kinda thinking of Thaksin Beef Noodles that I used to eat like 10 years ago when in SG hahaha) noodles were nice, soup was clear, tasty but not strong, I didn't add in the bean sprouts cos I don't like bean sprouts in ANYTHING and I didn't add in the condiments becaaaauuuuuuseeee a good soup in my opinion doesn't ever need condiments! So, yep, I ate it like that not too bad, but nothing special and nothing that will bring me back either.

Fried Kway Teow @ SUper Saigon TTDI

Hubby ordered fried kway teow maybe because he was not in the mood for pho (even though he was the one who told me that this is probably one of the better phos in KL) Nothing special about the kway teow either.

So, the rolls came first actually haha but I put it in last cos I came for this mah..so must complain a bit more :P

Vietnamese Roll @ Super Saigon TTDI

First up look at those prawns.. wow.. I was like "so generous ah 3 prawns in each roll?" apparently those are prawn slices.. so you get 1 1/2 prawns per roll ok.. so disappointed.

Inside the roll are salad, mint (which I like) what are those white things? some form of noodle if I am not mistaken (which I find confusing cos if I wanna eat noodle I won't order a roll k?) and you eat it with the peanut butter sauce. okay.. overall not too bad I guess.. but I wanted my mum's one, which now I think is a different variation.. it has salad,carrots, avocado, big fat juicy whole prawns and no noodles ok and we don't dip it in a sauce, the chili fish sauce is already spread in the roll.. aaaarrrrghhh I need mum to make me one 😫

Super Saigon at TTDI is always, and I mean ALWAYS packed! It's easy to see why, the decor is easy on the eyes, the food is simple and nice and the price is not that hard on the wallet. Breakfast at The Starling; Damansara Uptown - Vine Cafe

This is a continuation of the post about first visit to The Starling at Damansara Uptown. We were there quite early in the morning around 10.30am cos we had an appointment with the school's uniform supplier near Atria. Kids didn't get to eat breakfast yet and most of the shops at Atria looked closed so we headed to The Starling instead.

We chanced upon a restaurant on the ground level that was open for breakfast (they opened at 10am) called Vine and while they have a breakfast menu, the staff was accommodating enough to take our orders for pasta and nuggets (for the kids) at 10.30 am also.

We ordered:

Mushroom Soup at Vine Cafe - The Starling

Mushroom soup for my no 3, he's a big fan of soups and this one goes down pretty well with him. Portion is quite big and my 2 yo slurped it to the last drop.

Overpriced nuggets - but hey what were you expecting?

The nuggets were pretty normal and expensive but kids needed to eat so..

This is one of their breakfast option.. hubby ordered it.. nothing special here..but my son loves the croissant.

Above dish is my favorite! I didn't think I could finish it all up by myself but I pretty much did so haha! Minced meat in bolognese sauce with egg and loads of cheese! yuuuummmmmy! reminded me much of shakshuka (malay style of course not the tomato arab style) my only grouch is that the toasted bread is not enough!

The toast was for my no 1, it was also very nice, with sweet jam, fresh strawberries, grapes and vanilla ice cream.. Delish!

I love my babycino, not overwhelmingly sweet or chocolatey, just nice :)

This is one cafe we might come back to if we feel like splurging for breakfast during the weekend :)

P/S: I just realized that I mentioned pasta at the start, so yeah we did order carbonara and if you read my blog often, you would know that that's all my no 2 will eat if we go to cafes so.. I'm sick of reviewing carbonaras haha that's why it's picture is not in the post. The carbonara is okay, creamy and child friendly.

Kids Friendly Cinema @ Damansara Uptown - The Starling (MBO Kecil)

So.. excited much.. Cars 3 dah keluar cinema, we decided to check out MBO Kecil at The Starling (Damansara Uptown) cos the mall is pretty new so new means less crowd and new facilities which equates to mmmmm.. no wear and tear yet :p

Hubby chose the standard seat ( 3 front rows) which is waay low and perfect for kids to climb and jump and super convenient of your kids like to run around and you have to run after them BUT so back breaking and super uncomfortable if you are around 1.7m and above (read hubby)

The yellow and red seats were ours ( so low! not good for those who are tall or have back pain) the 4th row onwards are the VIP seats (read normal seats)

The centre seating (VIP) is probably the best choice, while the sofa at the back row (only 4 sofas) is maybe good if your like to lie down or your baby is the sort who naps in cinemas (huh?)

Seems like a good idea yeah? Brighter lighting, a playground in the cinema = you get to watch a movie while your child who can't sit still play around.. hahaha! whoever thought of that probably didn't go running after their kids for 90 minutes! Man.. maybe if your kids are independent enough to run around on their own (in which case I would assume they would also be big enough to sit still in a cinema to enjoy a movie) so there I was "accompanying" my 9 year old and 7 year old watching cars as they sat very still and enjoy the movie with the husband, while I chase after my 25 months up and down the stairs and gently push him down the top of the slide and running down the stairs at the other side to make sure he didn't bump into someone else who might try to climb up the slide. Husband took pity on me about half way through the movie. Man.. I think I would be better off staying at home with the 25 months old! Although that boy certainly enjoyed himself very much climbing up and down the seats, running around the stairs and "playing" with the other kids (who actually were not playing with him :P )

Baby room / Nursing room @ MBO Kecil - The Starling

I think the whole idea is pretty neat, there's a baby room / nursing room just outside the theater entrance, a shoe rack at the side and a playground at the waiting area outside in case you arrive early for your movie and need to blow away like 20 minutes before the theater opens. Buuuut, I would probably try again when the kiddo is 4 years old. (Or maybe not cos The Lego Ninjago Movie is also out now 😅 )

But, we didn't go in because me and hubs were too lazy to spend another 1 hour waiting for the kids hahaha.. we let them take the animal rides though.. RM10 per ride and you get a free ride if you buy two rides.. oh well, maybe next time we will try the indoor playground.

Halal in Singapore - Royz Et Vous at Chai Chee (Viva Business Park near Bedok)

Okaaaaay.. back in Singapore for a super short while, finally can dump the kids with mama and sneak a dinner date with le husband. Howver, as it was Saturday night aaaaaand nearing around 6.30pm.. we had to cancel our plans for an Arab Street dinner cos we wouldn't want to be waiting in line for a table.

Royz Et Vous was an option cos it was near, but I don't want to risk anything, so I called them up to ask if they still have a table. The waiter said "all reservations are online" to which I replied.. umm.. I'm reaching in 15 minutes. So, he said ok, I will hold a table for you. Phew.. thanks man.. you made our date possible :)

Viva Business Park, first time going there, went to Decathlon afterwards (but that's so out of point) who can resist? such a big place!

I like the fact that Royz Et Vous is just opposite the fountain.. makes for a beautiful sight nearing sunset. Inside, the restaurant is tastefully decorated in a dark, rich hue.. so romantic haha

Le husband couldn't resist looking at their coffee and ordered one recommended by the waiter, (don't ask me what he ordered cos I can't drink cofee, but he said it was the best coffee so far that he had in Singapore) I ordered hot chocolate with mint just because.. you guessed it.. chai latte was not in the menu :p I adore the light blue cup and saucer and I love the hot chocolate, not too rich, not too sweet and the mint was quite refreshing.

The menu was quite simple, there's soup of the day for appetizers, fries, nachos, wings..a few selection of salads (not on a diet at the moment) 5 varieties of pasta and for the mains we have chicken, salmon, duck, one type of burger, rack of lamb, striploin and ribs.That's it. Dessert selection was quite disappointing when we were there.

So, we ordered:

Halal Restaurant in Singapore - Royz Et Vous - Mushroom soup and fried mushrooms (just because)

The mushroom soup was delish. Creamy and not too thick. Serving is enough for sharing. The fried mushroom, is because I was missing swensen's haha.. their version is a huge serving, big mushrooms, crispy batter but nothing special about the batter.. hey.. there's nothing wrong with it either :) I finished it.. though I think maybe it is nicer to pair with lime chili mayo (tekak melayu- kalau boleh semua nak ada sambal :P )

Signature Prawn and Crayfish @Royz Et Vous; Singapore

I ordered Signature Prawn and Crayfish Pasta (cos again I was missing Swensen's :p hey.. Swensen's in Malaysia just isn't the same as the Swensen's in Singapore okaaayyyy.. and we grew up with Swensen's before all the hipster halal cafes started) didn't read quite carefully though that it actually came with a cream sauce. This dish was ok, creamy with a hint of chili but I really don't favor my prawns being cooked this way.. you know the way that it is dipped for a short while only in hot water? I don't like the taste of prawns like that)

Brazen Beef @RoyzEtVous Singapore

Husband wanted to order the ribs, but was advised by the waiter it might be too big for individual consumption (ribs is 450gm! only for sharing people!) so he ordered the striploin instead. It was tender and juicy, but there is no sauce accompanying it. Still used to eating steak with an accompanied sauce haha.. fries and salad was so-so..

So.. verdict? macam swensen's lah jugak sikit2 , cuma upscale presentation and interior.. with of course additional higher quality mains on the menu. But I really like the chocolate mint. :P Boleh datang lagi? yeah maybe.. support orang Islam k?

Cara-cara letak attachment gambar guna "Mail" app Iphone

Ha.. ini adalah satu perkara yang saya tahu tanpa tak sengaja..selama ni kalau nak hantar gambar ke kawan-kawan guna email, saya akan ke "photos" dulu kemudian pilih gambar-gambar yang nak dihantar dan kemudian select e-mail.

Tapi... tahukah anda ada lagi satu cara? Dari "Mail" app sendiri, kita boleh attach gambar atau document dengan menggunakan Iphone atau Ipad kita?

Langkah 1: Buka "Mail" App dan tekan icon "New Message" seperti di gambar ini:

Langkah 2: tekan jari anda di tempat menulis mesej anda beberapa saat, seperti dalam gambar:

Langkah 3: Nanti akan keluar dialog di bawah ini, tekan butang segi tiga tu:

Langkah 4: Nanti keluar "Insert Photo or Video" ah.. select yang tu..nanti dia akan bawa kita terus ke "Photos" app kita dan kita pilih lah apa kita nak.. kalau nak tambah lagi gambar.. buat sekali lagi langkah 2-4.

Aaah.. kalau nak attach dokumen pun boleh tekan butang segitiga tu lagi sekali akan keluar option "insert document" tapi itu hanya boleh dilakukan kalau anda sudah activate iCloud anda..

Kuantan With Kids : Why you should visit Batu Hitam Beach

Mr Husband kind of like to go to Kuantan nowadays for short holidays with the kids. It's proximity with KL makes it a great weekend getaway with the kids if you don't mind the winding road of Karak Highway.

Our kids love the beach while husband loves the seafood :p

We have been to Teluk Chempedak Beach and Cherating Beach but on our last visit, we decided to drop by Batu Hitam Beach for fun. It was low tide then, exposing lots of sea snails and hermit crabs much to the amusement of the boys. Lil one had fun splashing his feet in the shallow pool of water :)

The weather was great that day, cloudy with lovely wind. Be warned that the sandy area near the carpark area has some sand flies, but once you walked nearer to the water, there wasn't any. So, my kids didn't play at the dry sandy area.

At the road side, you will see some stalls selling banana fritters, cendol and what nots but there are flies around the stalls so if you have an issue with that (like me) best to avoid eating there.

So, kita orang gi Melaka dengan anak2 kecil.. nak cari tempat makan, mestilah yang tempat selesa sikit, ada kawasan yang selamat untuk anak2 berlari dan yang paling penting bila tenghari yang panas ni.. ada aircon! atau paling tidak tempat shaded dengan kipas yang power..

Search punya search nampak a few postings about Halia Restaurant, so I told my husband let's just try lah..tempat ni parking susah sikit, kita orang parking dekat dalam lagi, dekat dengan tempat cruise tu..restaurant dia besar, tak panas, masa kita pergi tu tak ramai orang, so anak2 pun berlari ke sana ke mari.

Husband order kopi dan burger (biasa2 je rasa dia). I order nasi goreng cina untuk anak kecil I (banyak minyak) chicken wings untuk my no1 (yang ni sedap) dan salmon carbonara untuk my no 2.

Melaka With Kids - The Shore Aquarium, Toy Museum, Puteri Beach

This is one overdue post.. we went to Melaka for a short getaway with the kids but it was peak period and a last minute decision so a lot of the popular hotels were already full. We decided to give Ramada Hotel a go even though normally we wouldn't choose this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised as the hotel was actually quite comfortable. Given that the exterior looked really old, the interior has been refurbished recently and the rooms were very modern. There is no bath tub in the room that we requested though.

Room service was also good and breakfast in the morning was not too bad. It is also near a lot of convenience shop and there is a 24 hour mamak shop at the back.

The Shore Mall is also just a few minutes drive away or you can even walk there if you have the stamina to brave Melaka's hot sun.

Maybe next time we will try The Shore Hotel and Residence :)

Speaking of which, since Melaka is so sunny, we opted for anything indoors and The Shore Oceanarium was first on the list. It is located inside The Shore Mall and I think there are a few other attractions at the mall as well. Hubby purchased tickets for both the aquarium and the toy museum.

The kids enjoyed the aquarium immensely, it is something like The Aquaria at KLCC but on a smaller scale. My kids love petting the baby sharks at the entrance and also feeding the turtles at the end. Strangely, they also found the 3D theatre very mesmerizing even though my husband and I were already begging them to move on 😂

Even if you don't go inside the aquarium, there are some kiddy rides just outside its exit.

Our next attraction was the Toy Museum, we went through this very quickly as there is really nothing much to see. The picture is the only nice part of the Museum in our opinion.. Can skip this attraction.

Afterwards, there kids were hungry but there was nothing much on offer at the mall, so we went to Halia Restaurant instead. Then we headed out of Melaka town and went to Tg Kling for Puteri Beach. While reading up on beaches in Melaka, I was really tempted to visit Pulau Besar but then I stumbled upon one website that says that the Pulau isn't all it is made up to be and I think it will be unwise for me to bring the kids there 😬 Pantai Klebang is also not an option as I read that to reach the sand dunes you actually need to walk a distance and there is no beach to swim in too. So, Pantai Puteri it was.

When we arrived, it was 5pm but hubby said it was still too hot, so we decided to eat at one of the numerous eateries there (there is also a stretch of night market stalls already operating then). We waited till 6pm and then we unleashed the kids 😂 the sand wasn't soft and white instead casuarina seeds lined the sand making it quite difficult to walk barefoot and playing sand castles. But the water was ok.. not that clear but some people were swimming. Later on, we realized there was also some oil in the water that wasn't quite visible but stuck on our legs and so difficult to remove afterwards. Ah well.. by then the kids had already had their fill of fun in the water 😄

Halal food Glasgow Central

So, hubby went for a summer course in Glasgow and we followed. I did not foresee doing much sightseeing on my own with the 3 boys while hubby went to class, so I settled for a place near shopping centres where I can pacify the kids with a trip to a toy store when they get restless 😂

Premier Suites Plus Glasgow was our choice since it is walking distance to Hamley's hahaha.. little did I know that it was a great choice because it is opposite George's Square where there are plenty of pigeons in the morning and the kids had fun feeding them everyday lol.. (this was before hubby told me that it might be illegal to feed the pigeons)

Usually, after feeding the pigeons, my no 2 would ask for Subway across the street. The subway at 11 St Vincent Place is halal :)

While walking around the area, we also stumbled upon Oko (Japanese Cuisine @ 78 Queen Street) which zabihah states as having partial halal menu (all chicken halal except for gyoza and no pork served) but we didn't get to try it cos my kids don't favor Japanese cuisine.

So, on one of the days, we went to St Enoch Shopping Centre cos I was bribing the kids with Hamley's and then we saw a very small kids play area @ Euro 5 per 15 or 30 mins (I forgot) and the kids wanted to have a go. It was really small and I have no idea how and why but the kids were entertained for nearly an hour. Afterwards, my no 2 was hungry so I said let's just take a look at the food court and see if there is any halal option and Masya Allah, we saw one :

The guy at the counter informed me saying 2 types of pasta is halal and cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza but I can't take the chips as it's not fried with vegetable oil (something else but I can't seem to recall what they use)

We also tried Kebabish Grill @ the other side of River Clyde (323 Victoria Road) as I wanted to buy some meat as well to cook and that area has a lot of halal butchers. The food at Kebabish is really nice and the restaurant has a prayer place and also plays nasyeed on the entertainment system. As the kids ate, I wandered around the area to buy halal meat and I found a small butcher shop (can't recall the name) opposite Green Grocer (380 Victoria Road) the chicken is really fresh and the fruits and vegetables offered in Green Grocer is also quite ok.

Around Victoria Road, there are a lot of halal restaurants like:

1) Al Forno Ristorante (10 Torrisdale St)
2) Chicken Cottage (366 Victoria Road)
3) Star Coffee Patisserie (330 Victoria Road) for halal cakes

But we didn't try it cos we were around the area only to buy halal meat :)

On one of the days that we had to travel early in the morning and I didn't have time to cook breakfast and clean up, we bought breakfast from iCafe @ 72 Ingram St as it opens very early in the morning @ 7am :

This was the morning that we had to take a train ride to London, I didn't have the time to cook breakfast as we had to get things cleaned up before checking out. We took the Virgin train to London on a weekend. If you are traveling first class, the train will serve food during the trip however, if your travel on weekend, the food option is limited, if you are traveling on weekdays, they have vegetarian options for you to choose. If you happen to have time, I would just advice you to pop by M&S Food hall and maybe buy some vegetarian sandwiches as back up. I bought a falafel wrap and egg sandwiches for myself and packed instant cup noodles for the kids :)

While in Glasgow, if you are a Dr Who fan..you might wanna check out a few of the tardis around the area. We managed to see 2:

Halal Food @ Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

We were en route to Glasgow last May and KLM transits at Amsterdam so we took the opportunity to explore Amsterdam as well. Its about 11-12 hours flight from Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam and we were having difficulty in choosing a "special" meal (read halal) online on the KLM website. Hubby called up the hotline and we were told that from KUL-AMS the food is halal but from AMS-KUL we will have to check with the airline again before we fly off.

We took the night flight and the kids didn't really eat much on flight but they were pretty hungry when we touched down. It was early in the morning around 7 am and I couldn't find much information about the halal food available so we settled with some fruits bought at Albert Heijin.

I saw this sign though and just snapped it cos I thought that it might be useful given the dearth of information online. I thought whichever one that has halal options must be the ones serving Asian food..

Then on another day while we were in the airport to pick up our rented car, I chanced upon Toko To Go and decided to check out if my assumption was correct. So, yes, Toko To Go has partial halal menu. They serve halal chicken dishes BUT please be aware that they also have Pork on their menu. As we were not comfortable with that, we did not give their halal dishes a try. (Also their google reviews are pretty dismal)

Then on our way back from Glasgow to Kuala Lumpur, we transited in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, I did not find any information with regards to any specific restaurants serving halal food in the transit area. (Yup, I'm talking about you halaltrip and have halal will travel) so since there was no food served on flight from Glasgow- Schiphol, my kids were pretty hungry in transit. We walked about trying to find a halal option and I told my husband let's see if Kebaya has partial halal menu since it also serves asian dishes. We headed for Kebaya and again saw pork on the menu and I can't confirm if they have partial halal menu cos husband was the one who did the asking this time around as our 23 months old was acting up already due to hunger. We decided to go vegetarian instead. We went to another restaurant which serves vegetarian burger that I find very tempting but husband still didn't feel good about it. In the end, I gave up and said let's just find something like a shop that sells pre-packed sandwiches and yoghurts and stuffs and husband said ok. We saw Grab & Fly and I saw that they sell instant ramen (that means they have hot water yeah? woohooo.. cos yours truly packed 2 instant cup noodles -halal all the way from Malaysia yeah- for emergencies haha) I asked the staff if they can kindly put hot water in our Maggi Cup Noodles and they said ok but I have to pay for the hot water. I said ok.. hey what's a few euros compared to raging hungry kids? Hubby bought some yoghurts for himself and I told him, I don't know about you but I am taking the tuna sandwich as well (tawakkal alAllah)

After filling up our bellies with the light food, we walked about to shop and in one of the shops the staff gave salam to me and I was pleasantly surprised and we striked a conversation. I took the opportunity to ask if there is any halal restaurants there in the transit area at Schiphol Airport and he said no. He advised to just eat fish and vegetarian dishes. So, that's it... all the other Muslim tourists I saw walking about are also either only holding drinks in their hands or eating pringles.. I mean if it wasn't for the cup noodles we brought along with us (it was intended to be for the flight home just in case the kids don't like the food offered) we would have also been like them. It's ok if it was just the two of us, but I can't stand it if my kids go hungry.. :(

On the flight back from AMS-KUL, the staff said that all the food are halal and we decided that we will take that in good faith.

Jalan-jalan Genting Highlands - Genting Strawberry Farm

We decided to go on a one night trip to Genting Highlands to celebrate no 2's birthday. It was quite impromptu so we went up at nearly 4pm. Before going up, we searched on what to do with kids there and saw that the theme park is only slotted to be open late this year or early next year and maybe the only places feasible to visit are the Strawberry Farm and the Insect World.

The last time we went up to Genting was maybe 6 years ago lol.. so I was quite surprised to find out that I couldn't stand the drive up.. my 20 months old also was not happy with the winding road. I didn't remember feeling this bad 6 years ago..

We stopped by the strawberry farm before going to our hotel cos Best Western is at the other side of Genting (past the theme park area). We were not expecting much from the farm so we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of it. Of course, I did not pay the toilet a visit.

Strawberry picking was limited to only a few rows of plants and you can only get a handful cos there weren't too many left and you kind of feel bad for the other parents with kids too :p

The flower garden (rose and lavender) inside was beautiful and almost make you think that you are outside of Malaysia, until you smell the cigarette smoke from some inconsiderate people who have to spoil the air.

We didn't know that they have a photo studio inside the farm and the studio put their photographers on standby at various spots at the strawberry farm and take "free" photos that you can decide to buy later on before exiting. We had fun posing and a tough time deciding on the photos to buy :p

After the short trip to the farm, we headed on to Best Western. The hotel is fairly new and is about the same concept as the Best Western (The Haven) at Ipoh. But here the restaurant is bigger. They have a kids pool, an adult pool (sadly the view is not so nice) a small playground and a small green area for kids to kick a ball and what not. With the cool air.. it was quite a nice experience.

The suite that we stayed in is a 3 room suite, 2 rooms with a queen bed and another with 2 single bed. The beds are all very nice except that the bed support in the master bedroom seems to be unbalanced. I can't sit at the foot of the bed while my son is lying down without feeling like the bed might topple.

The kids liked the big space and we bought the movie "Ant Man" on the entertainment menu for the kids to enjoy.

Dinner was at Kembali Kitchen which was huge (I almost didn't notice that the building was actually still in construction) and the food was great too (not fantastic but good enough to fill your tummy without complaints) That same huge restaurant was filled to the brim the next morning for breakfast (Public Holiday) and even though the breakfast options were slightly limited (there were enough options just not one that makes you go crazy to try all) the staff ensures that supply is never lacking.

I really liked the hotel and I feel that it is nice enough to be a weekend destination with the kids, if they further develop the surrounding area with a nice garden trail and a few activities, it would be perfect.

On the way back, we passed the Insect Kingdom but noticed it a tad too late, so we had to give it a miss since no way am I turning back with that road haha..

Putrajaya with Kids - Day out at IOI City Mall

Seems like there is a lot of long weekend this year, so with nothing to do, we decided to venture to IOI City Mall at Putrajaya with the kids. We were not planning to go inside District 51 even though I think it looks really cool cos my 8 year old is not a fan of climbing. He wanted to go and bowl so we said ok. Unfortunately, there was a crowd when we arrive and we had to write down our name on the waiting list and hang around the area to wait for them to call our name (they don't even want to call you so you can't go elsewhere while you wait for someone to finish playing) In the end, after waiting for 30 minutes, we decided to just go to District 51 Upper level (just a few doors down from the bowling alley) You don't need to pay the entrance fee to access the upper level as you can only look over the obstacle course. Other games available are on token basis. So, there's a bumper car, 4D simulation rides, archery and some kiddy rides (cars and motorbikes).. My kids really like the bumper car.

For the toddler, I took him to Kidszoona inside Molly's Fantasy (Arcade) for a bit of indoor play (Entrance fee RM10) , it was a weekday around lunch time and he was the only one playing haha! (Husband took leave on Friday) but he didn't enjoy himself playing alone without his brothers and after about 30 minutes asked to go out to play at the Arcade instead.

There is also a train ride (in front of District 51 - upper level) and a Dinosaur ride (big fixed ones and small mobile ones) near the ice rink.

Overall, the kids quite enjoyed themselves, especially with spending our money at the Arcade 😅 while I wished that there is a babysitting service available so that I can go shopping haha!

Eating choices were aplenty and guess what my kids chose to eat? Hot Dogs! sigh.. life of a mother..

We wanted a short getaway from KL the other day and husband suggested Kuantan sebab rindu nak makan Sara Thai :p wanted to try a new place to stay so husband chose a new resort (at that time) called Mangala Resort.. I tanya bagus ke review? he said ok.. new place.. hmm.. oklah kat Malaysia ni kalau baru semua ok haha.. maintenance tu yang problem selalu.. tak tahu pulak yang sebenarnya resort ni kat Gambang so... kalau nak gi makan kat Kuantan tu nak kena drive 30 minutes gitu.. tapi tak pe lah hajat di hati nak chill and relax je.. tak nak keluar2 sangat...

We took a villa overlooking the lake with 2 rooms as we brought along husband's mum. The place was nice and clean and huge.. both beds in the room was super comfy. Atmosphere pun very relaxed dan mendamaikan betul.. I think my MIL enjoyed the ambience.. macam duduk kat kampung you.. furnishing kayu.. depan ada tasik.. bunyi burung2 berkicau.. petang2 dapat tengok sunset.. cuma upsetnya menu is very limited.. (breakfast, dinner, in room dining) sebab guest tak ramai kan.. aaaand on the second night.. cable dorang down kena gigit tikus ke apa ke tak tahu lah.. so.. hari kedua onwards kita orang takde tv.. hai.. budak2 ni tak kisah sebab main internet terus.. tapi kesian lah my MIL nak tengok tv tak boleh..

Siapa yang bangun pagi2 tu.. dia ada guided tour of their orchard.. I tak pergi lah cuma I tahu ada Dragon fruit orchard kat situ.. dia kasi juice dragonfruit free je sebab diaorang tanam kat situ kan.. then ada cycling jugak kalau siapa yang minat tu.. cuma basikal untuk budak2 takde..

Anak2 I suka main bath tub dia sebab besar.. and also pool area ada 1 deep pool, 1 shallow dan 1 jacuzzi.. even the jacuzzi pool pun besar jugak boleh lah muat lebih dari 6 orang.. still ada space nak pusing2..

Restaurants around the area macam tak banyak.. ada 2 restaurant melayu kat main road, kita orang breakfast kat restoran "Air Tangan Ibu" all the way.. then for lunch restoran arab nama dia "Land of Paradise" asalnya nak makan kat restoran melayu lagi satu tapi restoran penuh dan lauk dah nak habis.. so.. kita masuk je restoran arab ni.. tak sangka sedap plus kita jumpa air lemon + pudina yang memang susah nak jumpa kat Malaysia ni 😄 tu satu jug I dengan husband yang lantak hahaha

One of the days kita gi Gambang Safari.. tengok dari luar macam dah run down je tempat ni.. naik bus pulak so bumpy.. kesian my MIL.. I tak amik gambar lah.. apa binatang yang ada pun dah lupa.. yang tak boleh lupa tiger je.. sebab takut dia terkam kita dalam bas.. kita tak pergi the water park.. tak tahu macam mana condition dia.. lepas habis naik bas kita patah balik tunggu bas untuk turun sebab kawasn berbukit.. nak jalan2 dengan MIL tak sampai hati lah..

Then husband I nak makan Sara Thai.. kita orang pun pergilah Kuantan kan.. I ternampak Gio Mall punya sign.. (I tak tahu ada Cattleya, Modvier, Bella Ammara semua kat situ< memang tak plan) memandangkan ada masa.. I cakap park lah tepi tu... I nak gi shopping jap.. :p

The next day, I ask husband I bawak I gi Ariani pulak saja2 je.. sebab hari asyik hujan ..nak gi Teluk Chempedak dengan anak2 tak boleh.. lepas tu kita try cari kedai pisang goreng arang yang femes tu.. sebab MIL i suka pisang goreng.. gunalah google maps kan.. nampak kedai dia gini:

The day nak balik tu baru tak hujan.. kita singgahlah Teluk Chempedak walaupun masa tu panas terik jam 1 tengahari.. nak sedapkan hati anak2 nak main pasir punya pasal.. Teluk Chempedak ni banyak tempat makan.. tak tahu mana yang sedap.. I cuma pergi kedai atas 7 Eleven beli keropok lekor dengan kentang goreng cemil2 untuk anak2.. lepas tu cuci mata jap tengok2 tudung tapi tak beli.. dan melayan anak2 main bubble kat tepi jalan :)

Jadilah cuti sekejap kat Kuantan..Tapi next time kalau datang.. I rasa duduk kat Cherating lagi bagus lah.. senang laut depan mata.. kalau duduk kat Gambang nak kena drive 30-40 minit baru dapat tengok laut.. macamana nak main laut tiap2 hari kaaaaan?

Also kalau tak silap I, kalau u stay at Disneyland Resort Hotel pun u boleh request for halal food..

Makanan at Disneyland tu ok ok je pada I, boleh lah buat tahan lapar.. we ate dekat Adventureland, banyak orang Malaysia masa tu.. ada yang dah habis makan tapi duduk sembang2 macam tunggu orang.. I pun pelik.. rupa2nya ada tempat solat kat belakang.. husband yang bagitahu.. I tak tengok lah sebab anak i tgh syiok tidur kat lengan.. sampai lenguh lengan..

2) Kiosk 03 Panda Food to go (Yang ni kita cari tak jumpa2 saje je nak tengok walaupun anak2 dah kenyang makan sarapan Chung King Mansion tu.. lepas tu ada jumpa Malaysian family satu ni, dia tanya mana makanan halal.. I said Dive into A Float jauh atas lagi cos kita orang kat area fountain tapi Panda Food To Go tak jumpa2.. last2 kita nampak family tu makan kat Panda Cafe (so kita assume tu halal lah)

3) Bakery Kitchen of Bayview Restaurant .. hah.. yang ni pun kita tak jumpa..

masa nak balik tu, dah nak dekat pukul 2 lebih.. perut dah lapar dah.. tapi tak sampai kat summit area sebab anak2 dah penat.. husband pun malas.. cari2 yang Bakery Kitchen pun tak jumpa.. so husband cakap jom gi makan dim sum kat Wan Chai Mosque Canteen.. I cakap u google lah dia tutup pukul berapa sebab tak silap I baca dia tutup dalam jam 3 gitu.. so husband I pun google lah pakai google maps (almaklum free wifi at Ocean Park) and google maps kata opening hours 10 am - 9pm.... I pun macam tak percaya tapi since husband dah cakap gitu I pun ok je lah.. sekali dalam taxi husband cakap.. eh dia buka 10 am - 3pm lepas tu tutup jap kul 6pm - 9pm buka balik for dinner.. hhhmmpph.. dalam taxi tu juga kena refer balik restaurant list yang kat Wan Chai and we headed to Istanbul instead at 177-179 Wan Chai Road (crossing fingers yang dia tak tutup sebab anak2 dah merengek2 lapar)

Siapa yang biasa makan makanan turkey ni tahulah dia very tawar makanan dia.. yang tekak sambal macam i cakap kurang rempah haha tapi oklah .. sayur2 dia fresh.. sultac (desert mcm puding nasi gitu) lembut dan manis.. dan kunefe (gambar bawah belah kiri) manis sikit dan takde susu.. i suka yang ada susu hehe..

so.. ni kali trip gi Hong Kong takdelah makan macam Oh My God sedapnya gitu.. semua biasa2 je :p
Lepas tu ada sekali kita orang nak singgah Great Indian Kebab Factory last time kat Mira Mall kan.. rupa2nya dah tutup eh branch tu.. sekarang Great Indian Kebab Factory di Wellington Place rupanya.. hmmm.. oklah tak dapat makan all you can eat buffet lunch dia haha..

Makanan Halal Hong Kong

ok.. so kitaorang pergi lagi Hong Kong setelah 4 tahun.. sebab malas nak gi jauh2 dengan anak yang bawah 2 tahun yang tak tahu duduk diam dalam kapal terbang ni.. husband tanya nak duduk mana kali ni? Cos last time kita duduk kat Grand Harbour Kowloon sebab bilik dia besar boleh accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids.. cuma leceh sikit lah nak travel pada I.. kalau malam2 tu jalan2 kat TST area pastu nak balik naik taxi banyak taxi driver tak nak amik.. kena tunggu jugak shuttle yang dia provide nearby sheraton tu.. I tak tahu pulak yang Harbour Grand Kowloon ni dah dapat halal certification for their kitchen masa tu.. sigh.. kalau tahu agaknye duduk jugak kat situ lagi 😂 I just told my husband.. takpelah kita orang duduk je mana2 hotel yang dekat dengan Chung King Mansion since banyak kedai makan halal kat situ buka dari pagi (730 dah buka dah) so breakfast senang lah..

Sampai je hotel, kita orang letak barang then terus gi Chung King Mansion nak cari late lunch.. hajat di hati nak cari one indian restaurant yang kita pernah pergi last time.. butter chicken dia punya lah power.. tapi both husband and wife dah lupa dah nama kedai and lif mana yang kena naik.. dan kebanyakan indian restaurant yang tingkat atas2 tu buka for dinner.. awal dari jam 6 petang dia tutup.. yang buka dari pagi tu yang kat tingkat 1 dan tingkat 2 yang naik tangga je takyah naik lif..

so kita makan je lah kat kedai mana2 yang tingkat 1 tu.. lepas tu rounding2 amik brochure dan tanya2 restaurant halal yang mana buka awal untuk sarapan and boleh delivery to hotel. Ada dua restaurant yang kita tanya, satu tu Bismillah Fried Chicken dan lagi satu kedai india tak ingat dah nama dia.. yang india tu makanan dia sedap, teh masala dia pun sedap yang Bismillah tu prata dia tawar, tapi anak2 i suka nasi goreng dia.. even though pada I macam berminyak dan terlampau banyak sangat ayam dan sayuran (mungkin nak kasi berbaloi harga yang mahal tu :p )

Halal Food at Chung King Mansion - Hong Kong

Yang ni gambar one of the days kita breakfast kat situ...selalunya dia hantar je kat lobby haha senang kerja..

Setelah beberapa hari makan nasi goreng untuk sarapan, husband I cakap kita try pulak lah Syed Bukhara Restaurant - kata Malaysian food.. ada nasi lemak.. ok so kita pun try lah makan kat situ.. resaturant ni kecik je, bertentangan dengan Hung's Chinese Restaurant.. tapi Malaysian pun Indian Malaysian lah jugak... so nasi lemak ada, yang lain samalah prata, tapi ada tosai dan mee goreng mama.. gambar mee goreng mama tak sempat nak snap.. cuma tak rasa macam mee goreng mama ye.. rasa manis2 macam mee cina je pada I.. yang tosai tu cerita kelakar.. I mintak "Egg Toast" sekali datang "Egg Dosai" lah hahaha I dengan suami tengok je lah each other.. tak pernah umur makan tosai telur..

Hung's Chinese Restaurant (Halal) at Chung King Mansion

What's the use of staying near Chung King Mansion if you don't eat there kaaaaan? So.. salah satu petang tu.. kita makan di Hung's Chinese Restaurant.. husband order macam untuk 10 orang.. malu lah pulak dengan orang kat meja sebelah.. tak habis pun.. terpaksa taupau.. makanan kat sini sedap.. kita order udang goreng tepung, sayur dua macam dan ayam goreng.. sedap tapi mahaaaal... makan sekali je kat sini..

Another time kita orang nak gi dinner tapi nak jalan gi Chung King macam jauh sebab kita jalan2 kat Toys R Us Harbour City.. so on the way balik hotel tu (jalan kaki) kita orang jumpa Haiphong Mansion dulu jadi kita singgah lah ke Mr Kebab.. (wah tempat ni dah popular tau.. dulu kita pergi baru buka tak ramai orang.. and the waitress yang serve kita 4 tahun lepas masih ada pulak tu haha)

Haiphong Mansion ni dia dekat dengan Kowloon Mosque. Kita order hummus , mandi lamb (untuk husband) 'adas (sup kacang tu) untuk baby i - suka sangat dia.. kebab, fried chicken dan spaghetti untuk anak yang lagi dua yang dah besar tu.. budak2 tak berapa suka spaghetti dia, tapi ayam dengan kebab dia orang ok je.. lamb mandy tu tak ingat dah rasa macam mana.. ke.. i tak merasa sebab sibuk melayan si kecik 🤔 tak ingat dah..

then.. the day before kita balik kaaaaaan... i ni boring lah tak merasa bershopping sebab ada anak kecik susah sangat nak bershopping dengan dia yang suka berlari ke sana sini..sedangkan husband i syiok je keluar gi tailor baju kaaaaaannnnnn.. abih asyik keluar gi fitting tak habis2.. i kena duduk hotel jaga budak2.. so.. one of the evening, I cakap I nak keluar gi beli Long Champ hahah.. sebab I baca2 Long Champ ni murah jugak at Hong Kong..so.. I pergi lah K11 Mall yang dekat dengan Hyatt Hotel, lepas tu ternampak papan tanda Kohinoor Halal Restaurant oposite Hyatt

Tapi esok nya dah nak balik dah.. so tak dapat lah nak cuba makan kat sini..

Nak kata next time.. tak rasa nak pergi Hong Kong lagi lain kali 😝
