Where to start…

Baby Adam is already 2 months old, and this is the first time I’m blogging about him. Shame on me. He is such a sweet baby, he brings so much joy to our lives. He recently started smiling a lot, and sometimes even lets out a little laugh. He is very mellow and calm, unless he is gassy, then he is trouble He has really cute chubby cheeks, and we think we can see dimples every once in a while when he smiles. He seems very active when he is awake, he will surely be able to keep up with Jake!
Not sure yet exactly how Jake feels about his little brother. Sometimes he is very sweet and caring, and once in a while he tries to hit Adam. Hopefully the hitting stage passes soon, I can’t have my boys fighting! Adam loves Jake unconditionally. Any time Jake talks to Adam, Adam gets a big grin on his face.
We are surprisingly getting good sleep most nights. This night was bad, but usually, Adam only wakes up once at night. Hopefully soon he will be sleeping through the night, and we can all get more rest.
We have Adam’s 2 month checkup this Friday. Can’t wait to see how much he has grown!
Ok… will try to write again soon. Hugs to everyone who is still reading my blog

Assuming Websphere 5.x which is J2EE 1.3:

Define a Generic JMS Provider

Set the classpath to list all necessary ActiveMQ jars under ${WAS_INSTALL_ROOT}/lib/ext (make sure to actually copy the jars there)

Set the initial context factory to org.activemq.jndi.ActiveMQWASInitialContextFactory

Set the provider URL to the broker’s URL, e.g. “reliable:tcp://host:port”

Configure a JMS Connection Factory for the newly defined provider, e.g. jms/QueueConnectionFactory and/or jms/TopicConnectionFactory

Configure JMS destinations as needed, e.g. “MyQueue” and “MyTopic” as external JNDI namesSet custom properties of the provider to map external JNDI names as follows:

java.naming.connectionFactoryNames = ConnectionFactory (whatever you set as external JNDI name for the connection factory in step 2)

java.naming.queue.MyQueue = MyQueue

java.naming.topic.MyTopic = MyTopic

Create a Message Listener Port for message-driven beans:

Set the connection factory JNDI, e.g. “jms/QueueConnectionFactory”

Set the destination JNDI, e.g. “jms/MyQueue”

Restart WAS

Question of the month — How is it possible for two people that really appreciate a good night’s rest to produce a little human that can’t seem to want to sleep – ever! Jake has been more and more difficult to get to sleep for naps, and for the night. Hopefully its just a stage, and he will become a good sleeper soon.

Jake aslo knows what he wants, and he will do everything in his power to get it. He is very strong, so sometimes it is difficult to hold him back from his destination. His favorites are an office chair that we roll him around the house in, wii rock band drum set, and drum sticks, an acoustic guitar that I recently started hiding just cause it was getting difficult to play with the guitar all day. Oh, and there is a laptop that we give Jake to mess with, and he loves it!
