New work from last month’s shoot outside of Missoula, Montana with The North Face ultra runner, Mike Foote. It’s always a pleasure working with top tier athletes and the fresh snow that fell the night before created perfect conditions.

A few snaps from our recent vacation. Nothing makes me happier than spending time with my wife and 4 kiddos. We made so many great memories exploring the trails in the Palm Springs area and my wife was especially excited to cross Joshua Tree National Park off her list of parks to visit. Traveling with four young kids isn’t always the easiest but the effort is always worth it.

Vacation stop #1. Each of our kiddos got to pick one thing they wanted to do while on vacation in California. Crew loves rockets and watching Space X launches (who doesn’t) so his request was simple … get a photo with the Falcon 9 booster at Space X HQ in Hawthorne.

Wheels up … this time with my entire family in tow. Enroute to the Palm Springs area today for our first big family vacation with all four kiddos. Asher (my second youngest who is always up for an adventure) was stoked for his first airplane ride. He seemed to enjoy watching the world float by 30K feet below as much as I do. Traveling is awesome, but sharing experiences with my family is priceless.

Killer way to end our two-day shoot for Destination Door County. I’ve taken the ferry to Washington Island, WI many times but this was my first in the dead of winter. Frigid but epic. Can’t wait to share the final images later this year.

This is my friend and fellow photog, Louis Arevalo. Earlier this month he was involved in a serious ski accident in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah which has left him paralyzed from the mid-chest down. He is one the most generous, down-to-earth, and hard working guys I know. Please consider donating to the GoFundMe account set up for him and his family during this difficult time.

That’s a wrap on Missoula. Such a great two weeks of teaching here at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. I look forward to watching these student’s careers unfold. Thanks for letting me be a part of your journey.

Here are a few BTS snaps from this week’s demonstrative shoot at Must Gym while teaching at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. I always love teaching and today was especially fun getting to share my intentional approach to shooting, working with light, directing my crew and talent, and interacting with a client on set.

Today is a travel day as I make my annual pilgrimage to Missoula for two weeks of teaching at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. It’s always a privilege to get to play a small role in the education of the next generation of photographers and content creators.

One of my favorite aspects of shooting events is the private concerts. Had a blast shooting AJR at the recent Citrix event in Florida with the crew at Digital Blue.

It’s game day! Our family is STOKED the Packers made the playoffs. GO PACK GO!!
