31 DoFollow Social Bookmarking Sites

There are two types of sites..

DoFollow or NoFollow... by default sites are DoFollow, but some sites decide to let their links become NoFollow which means that any links on that site or in the specific NoFollow area are not to be spidered by Google or any other search engines. An example of one of these sites is Digg, in which they used to be DoFollow but changed the bookmarked links to NoFollow.

DoFollow sites are sites that allow your link to be spidered by search engines which in return improves your Page rank and link juice. Generally you get more of a benefit by linking on higher page ranked sites, here are a list of 31 DoFollow Social Bookmarking sites that help your site have a higher page rank and a higher SERP. Starting a Online Business

Starting a business online can be pretty scary for people with little experience. Many people stick to the old "pop and shop" method thinking that it is easier, but contrary to that belief starting your own online business is pretty simple.

There are plenty of reasons for starting an online business:

Now those look appealing to you right? Well now you have a choice of 2 main ways to start.

You can either create your business through Ebay Store or Yahoo! Merchant Solutions.

Each one has their strengths and weaknesses:

Ebay Store

Basically free advertising because you are part of Ebay, people don't have to find your site, they can get to your store through Ebay
Excellent Administrator tools and statistics
Great Customer Support
Somewhat limited because not your own domain and limited through the design (Ebay limits you)

Yahoo Merchant Solutions

Sets up the credit card process
Templates to choose from
More flexibility
Free Domain with a Merchant Solutions Account
Great customer Support
Have to advertise your site yourself, won't have help from the convenience of using Ebay.

Both programs are good and are the top choices for starting a online store, there are many others out there, but none as good. As for choosing one?... Honestly I would choose both. You can get people buying products from you through ebay, and people buying through your domain from Yahoo! . This way you will broaden your business and reach a wider audience!

Advertising through PPC

Advertising through PPC is the act of paying companies to advertise your link for the cost of a number of clicks. Say you want to advertise through Google Adwords, for the keywords Cheap Skateboards. First, you would bid a price, the higher the bid, the more likely it would be shown, the lower the bid the less chances your link will be shown.

Tip: The bids don't really matter much for non competitive keywords, say you are going to go for the keywords Rodent Racing, you would just pay the minimum bid to Google as it is not competitive. On the other hand, if you were going for Making Money Online, there is a lot of competition from other people, so you would try to put your bid around the Mid range.

Using PPC is risky and it usually depends on the type of company you have and what your sale rate is.

Say your sale rate is 1/100 of the people that visit your site. Say you are paying .50 per click to your site. That means 100 clicks would cost you 50 dollars, now think if that would be worth it to you. Remember that it all depends on the product you are trying to sell. If you are selling diamonds and your profit per sale is anywhere from $50 or more it would be worth it, say you were selling sugar and your profit was $2 then it would definitely not be worth it!

Basically for Google Adwords, you just have to play around with it, it can work if you have a High CTR or a high profit per sale, or would work even better if you had both.

Having an online business and store is a learning experience and some people don't do well, but if you are determined and start to have a successful business the rewards can be prosperous!

7 SEO Tips for Your Blogspot

Many people try to get a high rank on google, they think that as long as they post good content that their page will be ranked high. WRONG. What many people don't know is that you need both good content and a page optimized to rank higher in search engines. I will be telling you tips for getting your blog ranked higher.

1. Have a good title and description - Try to have a good title and description on your blogger page. This is the first and most important keywords Search Engines crawl for, if you have good keywords chances are people will find you blog. To see the rankings of keywords use this page:

2. Have good post titles - In blogger whenever you post a new post the link will be whatever Title you put when you FIRST made the post.
ie: http://mikesmoneyclub.blogspot.com/2009/03/seo-tips-for-blogger.html

This is crucial... Make sure you make a link title that is a general understanding of your post (You can always change your post title later, ex: 100 Seo Tips you didn't know)

What not to do: Never just make a crappy title!
Dont's:
Numbers
Random Jibberish

These will not be found by Google or any other search engines!

3. Place keywords throughout your blog!

Say your blog is about making money online, try to post those keywords around your blog. Good places to post keywords are in the side bar, footer, and as I said above Title and Description.

Make sure not to overdo it or make it spammy! Try to make it flow with your blog, example:
In the footer you can put Make Money Online - http://yourblog.blogspot.com

Also Google takes notes of keywords bolded and italicized or in a list. Try to use this whenever possible!

4. Change the Title Tags for your Blog Titles

When search engines search for your blog or site they read the titles of importance from left to right. In default blogger blots display the Website name first then the post name which is not really efficient if you are trying to get your blog. If you would like to switch the blog post to be in front of the title visit this post:

5. Use less images, especially flash!

Google and other search engines look through your site for keywords whenever their is a search, unfortunately images and flash files won't show up as they are not text. Images are good to have on a site but don't overdo it! Say you have a nav bar, instead of images use text. Images only apply to image searches, but flash files don't apply to either image search or web search. If you do have a flash file make sure to put a Descriptive title.

6. Write good content!

You already know this by now, but writing good content is one of the most important factors. If your page is ranked high, but you have crappy content, chances are your visitors will never come back. Writing good content is also a good way of ensuring that people will link to your blog. Remember the more times your site is linked to the higher you will be on Search Engines!

7. Submitting your site to search engines!

You have good content, but you are not getting the views you want. I am no rocket scientist, but this could make that you are not indexed! Dun. Dun. Dun! ... actually don't worry, it is easier than you think. Below are the top search engines to submit you site to.

If you got to this page from a search engine or from somewhere else you are probably wondering how to sign up for ChaCha...Well... It's easier than you think... The first step is to visit this link to start the registration process: http://guideregistration.chacha.com/

Next you will have to fill out all your information, and then they will have you watch a video. Make sure to pay attention to the video because they will ask you questions later on to see if you qualify or not.

You will also have to fill out your W-9. That means you will have to put your personal information like Taxpayer ID number, or your SS number. This is to make sure that you are a citizen of the US and that you are over 18 years of age.

After that they will check over your information, and if they they approve it you will have to take a series of tests. Be careful on these and take your time! If you end up passing you will become a ChaCha Guide.

ChaCha's New Payment Plan - no need to meet top guide anymore.

ChaCha just recently on February 17, implemented their new category payment plan. This means that you won't need to have a certain amount of searches a week to make $.20 each question.... but now "The amount you earn for answering a query will now be determined by the type of question it is." This mean's that if you miss a week of ChaCha-ing you won't be penalized and lose your top guide spot. They said,

"We’ve noticed that Top Guide changes on Thursdays cause anxiety and disappointment for some of our Guides. For those who fall just short, like a 4th place Olympian, it can be more than a little demoralizing."

The categories each pay a different amount per question, the highest being .22 and the lowest being .10.

You are probably wondering, what about quality, does it still matter? Yes it does. There is a now a tab where you can see your quality rating. From ChaCha,

"Your quality rating will affect how likely you are to receive queries compared to another Guide. Whether traffic is high or low, the best Guides will get first dibs on incoming questions for their categories and interests. That means the most chances to earn."

My personal thoughts, I think their new update is excellent, there is no anxiety of trying to meet top guide each week, and personally I think the questions are coming in much smoother, I have got back to back questions all last night.

What happened to SWAcash?

SWATcash used to be one my favorite GPT sites, I talked about it a couple of times on this blog. They had the best contests, giving over $1000 to the winners. They recently filed for bankruptcy, because of all the server costs. If you were a member with cash in your account they said that they will pay all their members whatever they owe before they finish for good.

Taken from Brian the owner:

“Due to all of the recent events I am sad to say that SWATcash will be shutting down effective December 1st, 2008. We will strive to do all we can to get payments out in a timely manner. Unfortunately if all goes well we will only be able to pay out Offer Earnings, Referral Commission, Shopping Earnings, and Click Earnings. With shutting down we have to end our contracts with the company that runs our servers which is really putting the strain on the company’s wallet and possibly charging us more than we will have coming in, in which case we will have to file for bankruptcy. We hope that they will be glad to work with us and get that number down so we can payout all of the members who have made payout through December 1st.

We know this sucks, you don’t have to tell me twice. We are still waiting on checks that are now almost 2 months late to us. I have been told recently that a check was over-nighted Wednesday only to find out today that it still hasn’t even been sent. That is just how it has been going lately for us. I’d love to thank Jeremy and Will for doing an excellent job keep the site new with cool features and making the site as unique as it was. Thanks to Soylagringaloca who did a great job handling support and making sure it was done in a timely manner and keeping it as upbeat as possible. And also thanks to SWATAP for providing us with pictures for visual representation of topics and posts. He kept the forums lively and bursting with activity. I hope I didn’t miss anyone but thanks to everyone involved with SWATcash it was like one giant family even though sometimes it got a bit out of hand.

Cha stands for search and ChaCha stands for dance. Clever name, eh? Well it is. The concept is very clever. ChaCha is a site where you answer people's texts for money. People text 242242 from their phone (standard text messaging rates apply) and your job is to look up the question and answer it as a ChaCha Guide.

An example would be,

What is the size of a hippo?
(You would look it up, and the answer would look something like this.)
A hippopotamus weights up to 3 1/2 tons and grows 13 feet long and 5 feet tall.

ChaCha has a brilliant concept, and is beneficial to both the texter and the ChaCha guide. ChaCha is not like a GPT site, you can actually make decent money with ChaCha ($1000 a month or more) where with GPT sites you can make about $100 a month.
For ChaCha you make $.20 per search, they take about .5-3 minutes. The pay is good, you can make $6-12 and hour easily. It is also great because it won't interfere with your schedule. You can work whenever you want, and for however long you want to. ChaCha is a great service and it is currently only accepting people who are over 18 and located in the US. You can either get paid monthly through your bank account or whenever you want through a debit card that is set up through ChaCha. If some of you guys do not know by now... GPT means Get Paid to. These sites can be anything from making money by taking surveys, clicking ads or even referring people. I happen to have a couple favorite Gpt sites, I will be talking about why they are my favorite and the services they offer.

bux.to is a site where you are paid to click. When you first join the site you might think this site is measly; how can I make any money from this site? SWATCASH also offers a unique combat system, you can fight people for coins and with that you can eventually buy prizes. Unlike cashcrate SWATCASH offers a only a 20% referral commission only to first level referrals.

Overall I think this site is a great addition to have in your GPT list.

Does it cost anything to join GPT Sites?
No these sites are completely free to join. Of course, some offers on the sites offer trials which you have to pay a small shipping payment(usually like 3 dollars) to get 20 dollars, although most of the trials are free.

Ok, I joined now what?
Once you join first thing you have to do is verify your email address. That means you have to make sure you put in a valid email address. Once you do that some of the sites might ask for a phone verification. After that you browse the sight and look for offers to fill. If you don't want to fill out your phone number on the offer because you don't want to get spam there is a free voicemail service on laservoicemail. Also if you don't want to receive spam to your main email account you can just make a free email account from gmail to which they will send the offers to. Another note is to make sure you put in all your exact details, chances are companies will not mail you anything because e-mail is much cheaper.

Best way to complete offers:
First thing is first.
1. Make Sure to use different email accounts: As long as you own the email account its no problem to use whatever one that you want. If you use the same email address on the same company their might be more chances that they won't accept it because they want a variety of leads.
2. Clear your cookies/cache between every offer. I recommend you use ccleaner.
3. Go to "tools" in your browser window and set your internet options under your privacy tab to "accept all cookies." This does not decrease the security of your pc but it does help to insure approval of offers.
4. It is recommended to use either Internet Explorer or Firefox, most sites don't work well with any other browsers.

Once you make sure you have all those above steps done then you can start completing offers. Just browse the site for offers and once you find one that you like click on the link. Once you click on the link follow all the instructions that the site recommends and make sure you complete it fully. After that mark the offer as completed and then the offer will be pending and will be credited to your account usually within less than a day.

Are these sites Legit? Yes, GPT sites pay big money for your opinions. When you complete a offer they pay the GPT site for your information and then the GPT site pays you about 75% of what they made. Also since spam advertising is really inexpensive a bunch of companies use this method rather than putting it on TV(etc.).
