This is a wonderful opportunity to get to meet other Disciples of Christ members throughout the region. There will be registration forms available at the church. **Friday, April 6 -- Good Friday Candlelght Service, 6:00 p.m.
Join us for our solemn rememberence on Good Friday. This is a quiet and moving candlelight service that leads us through the events of the day that Jesus was executed.

**Sunday, April 8 -- Easter Sunday! Service @ 10:30 a.m.
Join us as we celebrate the victory of Love! Bring a boquet of flowers and before the service, we'll "flower the crosss" (see photos here). Bring candy filled eggs for the kiddos and a dish to share and after worship we'll have an Easter egg hunt and wonderful fellowship with a potluck.

“We Love Milagro” Annual Church Shower

There are any number of things that keep the church operating. So, on February 12, we'll have a “we love Milagro” shower after worship. We'll have some cake and some fellowship and throw the church a shower! There will be a list of suggested items listed in future bulletins, but it’s stuff like paper plates, gift cards to local hardware/lumber stores, tea, coffee…

Memorial Tribute to Pat Pumphrey

The congregation of Milagro would like to express our gratitude for the memorial donation made for Pat Pumphrey. We were very blessed by the gift and were able to purchase new chairs for the sanctuary. These chairs allow us to more comfortably seat our growing congregation and makes the space more flexible so that we can better serve the community.

**Caroling
Join us after worhsip on Sunday, December 18, as we go to a southside Pueblo nursing home and sing Christmas carols. After, we'l meet back at the church for hot chocolate and fellowship.

**Christmas Eve service
Join us at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 24, for a quiet Christmas Eve Candlelight service. There is no dress code. Everyone is welcome.

**Christmas Day
On Christmas day, our youth choir will lead the service with song and perhaps a pageant! And there's no need to dress up - in fact we are encouraging you to show up pajama-clad! You can let the kids play with their presents until the very last minute, no rushing to "get ready." You are already ready just the way you are! Join us and bring your favorite holiday treat to share!

**Advent
This Advent season we will be using "Partners In Prayer" - a daily prayer/meditation guide. We'll also meet on Wednesday evenings through Advent (November 30, December 7, 14 and 21) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Piatt's. Call the church at 545-6400 for more information.

**Light Parade Float
We'll have a float in the Pueblo Parade of Lights, and on November 19th we're gonna decorate it. We need your donations of time, talent and lights (and garland, paint, duct tape....). We're going for a Charlie Brown Christmas, but what we really intend is to have an eclectic bit of decoration reflective of our eclectic congregation. The beauty of Milagro is that we don't all match, and even though we think we might not fit, we all belong. So join us starting at 11:00 a.m. on November 19th to decorate. Then join us on November 26 for the Parade. As we know more about meeting time/place and such, we'll pass it along.

"Minute to Win It"

Join us on Saturday, October 15, at 4:00 p.m. for our "minute to win it" night. There's a $10 entry fee, and you can win great prizes (Gift Certificate to Hopscotch Bakery, Gift Certificate to Bingo Burger, Smoked ribs, a day on the lake, and more). We'll have pizza and other munchies. You can bring a side dish. 50% of the procedes will benefit ministries, the other 50% will go inot our project fund. See you there!!

Info booth at Pueblo Pride and school supply give-a-way

Pride Festival
Join us on Sunday, August 21, at the Riverwalk for the annual Pueblo Pride festival. The festival runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Victoria Avenue. We'll have an booth with information about our church, and because God's table is open to everyone, we'll have Communion for anyone that wants to participate. Stop by and say, "hi." For more information on the event, please visit the SCEA page. If you want to help "person" the booth, call the church at 545-6400.

School Supply Give-a-way.
We are working with the teachers that attend Milagro to identify those children that need school supplies. We'll be collecting pens, pencils, paper, crayons (the list goes on), and filling backpacks to give to children in our local schools. You can donate your items to the church and we'll distribute them during the last weekend in August.

Book Group and Yard Sale

Book Group
Starting Wednesday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. we'll be reading Banned Questions About the Bible. From the publisher about the book: Where did Adam and Eve’s kids find spouses? Does God justify violence in scripture? Does the Bible call for sexual purity? (and what qualifies as pure and impure?) Ever get the feeling that you can’t ask those kinds of questions at church? But if we can’t ask the tough, keep-you-awake-at-night questions within our faith communities, then what good are those communities?

Yard Sale
We are going to have a yard sale on June 4! Save your stuff and bring it to the church beginning Sunday, May 29th. If you have questions about the yard sale, questions about how to donate items, or if you'd like to help, please call the church at 545-6400

Milagro Leadership Meeting
We've moved the Leadership Meeting to the first monday of the month. Because of all the events at Milagro in April, we've cancelled the April meeting and our next leadership meeting will be Monday, May 2, at 6:00 p.m. Childcare is available. Bring your dinner!

Leadership Meeting, Community Garden

Leadership Meeting:
Our next leadership meeting is Monday, March 14, at 6:00 p.m. Childcare is available.

Community Garden:
     10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
     Miracle Community Garden is a 2 acre community garden with 80 plots. We have lots of plots but only a few gardeners. To cover the cost of water we are charging $40 per plot, BUT we have many people who are willing to donate the plots for interested gardeners. There is no reason not to come and start a plot. We have the land the water and the tools, mulch, manure and some seed availability, as well as classes through out the summer on adobe, cob and gardening.
      We will also have art, garden planting, Garden selection, Seed Exchange, Pony rides, fun and friends. Come and claim your plot in the community garden. Work on a community mural project or just take part in an awesome way for us to make affordable and healthy food available to our community.

There is a lot going on at Milagro Christian Church. Don't forget to take a look at our calendar. New events and activities have been added.

Beginning February 2, we are going to have a candlelight prayer service from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This is a chance for quiet, meditative prayer. you can stay for a few minutes or the entire hours. There will not be child care, but children are welcome if they have the ability to pray quietly.

We'll have an Ash Wednesday service the evenign of March 9; A Seder dinner/potluck on April 19 (RSVPs will be required); a Maundy Thursday service on April 21; we're planning to have information booths at various events in pueblo throughout the year, including a float in the annual light parade in November. We're planning a car wash in June and a school supply give away in August. Check our Planning Ahead list and keep checking back for details!
