Though average United States household at least have one credit card maxed out. But its not like that debt which one got is fault of credit card. It’s the consumer who hasn’t used it wisely. Avoiding purchasing of unnecessary things through credit can let you t avoid credit cards debt.

Mostly credit cards are described as mental stress for people because of large-scale financial collapse. This is the fact that the average American household at least one maxed out credit card. There is big increase in personal bankruptcies also.

It will be better that you understand the credit card offers which you get in your email, from that you can easily look for some better offers than others.

Aspects to See in Credit Card Offers

The best credit cards are those which have the low-interest rates and no annual fess. In other things best credit card offers have low rebates, discounts or can offer some points. If credit cards have all these good things then what is the thing which portray them as enemy of common person; it’s on the people who how they use the credit card. Majority of people use credit cards more than their own personal financial capacity. That in a financial crisis!

Late Fees & Interest Rates

Credit card companies earn money by charging interest, which is usually 18% to 20% or it can be more. These companies also earn through late fees charges. If you get huge balance on your credit card then never opt to go for new credit account. Though by getting new credit card you can spend more but your previous debt will increase also. With passage of time you will get a huge burden of debt.

That’s why it’s best not to going for new credit account. There are certain financial decisions which you must have to take to keep control over your credit cad balances. Limit the number of credit cards that you use, avoid late fees and manage your credit balances. By controlling balances on your credit cards you can make them an asset for credit building, not liability.

There are certain bad habits in consumers which should be avoid for getting large balance on your credit card. Some these habits are:

Bad Shopping Habits

Impulse shoppers always have bad spending habits. This cause financial problems and can bury the impulse shopper consumer into a lifetime bad debt. Spending more than income always lead to financial crisis, you must consider this before using your credit card. One must try to keep his/her unsecured debts that include credit cards not exceed 20% of annual income.

Using Credit Cards Instead of Cash

The consumers usually give priority to credit cards instead of cash on shopping of some ordinary daily need things. While you buy anything through your credit card in actual figures it costs you more than its real price. It’s because the inflated interest rates on the credit card increase every month and you’ll have to pay more. Like this you pay for the item as long as you carry the cost on your credit card. Same item if you buy through cash it won’t let you to pay more for that.

New Debt for Paying Old Debt

Getting new debt to payoff your old debt is also a common habit of consumers. That only gives you a timely ease but on long run you are putting your self under heavy burden of the debt.

Bottom Line

Think wise and do wise! Never go for bad debt, with smart strategy payoff your current debts. One must to know about the difference between asset and liability, good debt and bad debt. Using credit card wisely can save you a lot. Save today for your tomorrow!

American military kids are clinically obese, due to their living, which is sedantry and less healthy. Many theories have been given to solve this issue and the concern of the military parents. Most of the theories are not practical at all and many don't make any sense in reality. Parents should give time to their children to solve these problems.

Most of the military kids are obese, reason being the sedentary lifestyle and High Calorie American food. According to a research analysis, between the age of 12 and 18 are fast becoming medically obese. Military kids are following the same trend as the whole of the American population.

Different theoretical solutions to teenage health problems:

It is extremely difficult to grab a teenager’s attention in this era due to the many entertainment options that have made them sort of hypnotically attracted. Most of the kids in their teenage are least bothered about their health and are most interested in playing computer or console games. Sedentary American teenage lifestyle is a medical emergency which has devastative effects on health.

What do the experts say about Teen Health Problems?

Most of the experts have expressed their concern about this particular issue. They have put forward all sorts of answers to this problem. Some recommended motivating teenagers to increase their physical activities and disengage from the technological world. There are many who suggest parents to take measures to reduce the television timings of their teenage kid.

There are many experts who counsel the military parents, to cut down on luxury amenities. And, to bring the media stuff in one room and limit themselves to just one television, which is fairly impossible.

Problem with these solutions:

Most of the above mentioned solutions are practically impossible to improvise. It’s almost like, going back to the 20th century. Improvising this on military kids is even a bigger problem. Since most of the military kids have adopted a lifestyle full of video games, movies and televisions; to eliminate all of these from their life all of a sudden, it will invite bigger problems.

Consequences of going with these impractical solutions to Military Kid Problems:

If you do such, you will crave for peace, as there will be fights every now and then. It will also lead them to stress, which is an even bigger problem. Secondly, they will even complain about their inferiority complex, when they’ll see their classmates or neighbours being technologically more advance than them. This will ultimately lead to psychological problems, which are difficult to cope up with.

A Practical Solution to Military Kids Health Problems:

Play:

Teenage kids love to play. It’s like giving a life to an inactive mind and slowly and gradually, infusing life and activeness into it. Make everything fun for them. It’s a dilemma that even the studies now a day have become less interactive and children are becoming more robotic.

In schools, they are controlled by their teachers, most of them being scared to even ask questions and contribute to a lesson being taught. And in homes, they are hypnotically controlled by their computer screens and video games. Internet and social networking has also played a major role in making teenage children addicts to the computers.

Brain Storming:

Now, it’s a medically proved fact that an active mind is equivalent to a physically active body. Make your children do some brain storming. You can even utilize the computer to make your child think and solve questions through an interactive interface. Engage with them too for the similar purpose.

Members of the Military are provided with this extra cash to send back home. The amount of cash is around US$225 and this service is formally known as “Imminent Danger Pay”. The special pay given by military is accountable for income tax unless it is received when the solider has been deployed in combat.

Military Combat Pay – Cash Reward for Soldiers

Combat Pay has many Tax advantages which must be kept in mind. Some areas where the solider has been deployed, under combat are considered as “Tax Exempted” by the government of United States. The earnings of any soldier in the military are not included in this special pay. However, a military serviceman does pay for his Social Security and Medical Care Tax.

Tax Exempted – US225 Per Month

Tax exclusion for enlisted members of the military force is unlimited. On the other hand, it is limited to the maximum enlisted pay range for all officers in service. If a military service man spends even a single day in combat zone, his entire income is excluded from taxable income and he receives US$225 as Military Combat Pay.

Conditions for Military Combat Pay

Special Pays and Bonuses for military servicemen are also excluded from the taxable income. This is only valid if the soldier has served in a combat zone during the same month. Similarly, enlistment re-enlistment bonus is not taxed if the members enlist in the same month in which he has served in a combat zone.

Hardship Duty Pay for Soldiers

Some areas of combat also qualify for another type of special pay which is formally called the “Hardship Duty Pay”. Military servicemen receive the “Separation from Family Pay” in most cases as well. They receive US$250 in cash whenever they have to serve away from their family for more than thirty-days.

Annual Savings Program – History and Purpose

Soldiers also qualify for an annual savings program which allows them to deposit as much as US$10,000 per year in their accounts. This account offers the military service men as much as 10% of interest rate each year. The special savings account was introduced for military service men during the Vietnam War, but it was scraped out after the Vietnam War. Once again, it was introduced during the Gulf War of 1991 and still continues today.

Recognized Combat Zones & Special Allowances

Some of the main combat zones all over the world according to United States include Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Persian Gulf and Gulf of Aden. Military service men who travel abroad to serve in the army shall receive the Military Combat Pay allowance and Hardship Duty Pay and other bonuses as a reward for their services.

The life a soldier is full of uncertainties.

The life a soldier is full of uncertainties. Tough routine and frequent redeployments to answer the ever intense call of duty demands an excellent management of one’s financial records. The soldier is supposed to give his 100% in the battle field, in face of the enemy and therefore he should not be worried about his dependants back home. Purchasing a good financial and insurance policy goes a long way in addressing the concerns of soldiers.

Debt And Deployment

The deployment means an individual is far away from his home and may at times be out of communication from his loved ones. In case a soldier leaves for deployment areas without clearing his debt and dues and without subscribing to a policy for insurance etc, he himself and his family may get into trouble with the financial authorities. Capt. David Tosh and Anne-Marie Texas, had prepared themselves financially and hence faced no problem once David was sent to war-torn Iraq.

Pay Your Bills

Capt Clarks family did not know about his unpaid bills which was carelessness on his part. Once you are ready to move to the operations area, you must make your financial assets clear to your spouse or other loved ones so that they can look after them. For example, an unpaid credit card bill will continue earning you bad name and bad reputation for your account. And if you tell your spouse about it before leaving, he or she can address the problem timely and you will be saved from the burden.

Remove Confusions

A soldier has to clarify all doubts regarding his financials and he should himself be sure of what he has and what all he is due to pay. A clear mind is a great blessing for him as only then he can perform to his full potentials and be beneficial to his organization. It was not done in case of a Navy officer and his wife Meredith Leyva had to face tremendous pressures from the financial authority

Deployment Issues For Couples

The success stories of the soldiers serving on operational assignments and in deployment areas have one strong thing in common. Either of spouses, before leaving made his financial records straight and also invested in some policy for their left behinds and then they were free of tension and were more comfortable. If you address your home front properly, you are destined to excel in the field in face of enemy.

Financials For Single Soldiers

Each and every soldier is a segment of our own society and there is no one without any responsibility of his family. A soldier may be single and have no spouse to look after but he may have close friends and parents to look after. A case in point is Navy Lt. Cmdr John Baehr who forgot to pay the rent before his deployment to Kuwait and as a result his family was asked to vacate the house. Therefore each and every individual has to put his house into order and set his financials straight. Remove any confusion and invest or regulate his finances in accordance with the rules and regulations of army. Only then he can perform in the deployment area.

Tips For Soldiers

The soldiers having served on deployments recommend:-

1. Manage your accounts in detail before your departure.

2. Depute a relative to look after your accounts in your absence.

3. Take your spouse in confidence and tell her all your account details.

4. If you are single then move your stuff to a store as it will be cheaper.

5. Establish a system for online bill payments.

The military life gives a specific emphasis to the family life and this fact is clear from a series of interviews from enlisted men of all four services. If a soldier is free from worries of his family, he can perform to the optimum level.

The army is an institution that puts on a lot of emphasis on family support. Tough routine and frequent redeployment to answer the ever intense call of duty demands an excellent management of one’s financial records. The soldier is supposed to give his 100% in the battle field, in face of the enemy and therefore he should not be worried about his dependents back home. If he purchases a good financial policy to support his family back home, his mind shall be relieved.

Joint Family Readiness Conference

2009 saw the revival of family support in military circles. The ” Joint Family Readiness Conference” was held under the Department of Defence in which top enlisted soldiers of all the services participated and appreciated the family support. furthermore, they helped in designing a mechanism to support the family of soldiers serving at home and deployed abroad

Army Family Covenant

Kenneth O. Preston, Sgt. Maj. of Army praises the establishment of Army Family Covenant. Previously there was not a singly resources program for the families of soldiers and their family support was being neglected. This institution has improved the child care and youth services all across the army. Now this has been developed up to the battalion level.

Success Stories

A series of interviews was conducted from the elites of all four services. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Carlton W. Kent praised the corps for dealing with family support program on a war footing. He also reiterated the stance of armed forces that the individuals must look after their families and also they have to take care of them by financial management.

Child Care

The army has arrangements to look after the child care and health needs of a soldier’s family. A covenant is designed to pay full attention to these matters. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. James A. Roy praised the covenant for taking special care of the family in child care. It included the day care facilities within garrisons and medical services allocated for children. The director of child care Marla Talley also described the need of the child care during question answer session. She stated that the lady wives were specially worried once they could not get the hourly day care facilities for their kids. The answer to this problem is the establishment of child care centers.

Family Comes First

Rick D. West, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy praised the system for family support. However he also asked for greater cooperation between the various services responsible for family support to soldiers. Since the army takes care of the families in health and child care and also provides chance for good schooling, a soldier is free from these tensions. If you address your home front properly, you are destined to excel in the field in face of enemy.

Year Of Family

US Air Force has announced for years from 2007 to 2010 to be celebrated as the years of family. During this duration, a particular emphasis shall be given to the care of the families by establishing and enhancing facilities for family health and child care. It is also understood that the entire system for family health care and family support can not be changed overnight. Nancy Cosgrove, wife of a soldier, agreed with this fact but she also demanded for greater financial support to this factor. Only a sustained effort can yield better family support for enlisted men.

Do you want a life free of financial pressures? Planning for it is the best way to achieve financial health and to evaluate your budget.

Budget For Yourself:

Budgeting is a guide and a controlling measure for all your expenditures, which makes a clear ratio of your earnings and your expenditures.

Many military people don’t have a proper picture of their expenditures, they vary. They don’t have an idea of their future objectives and how they will achieve a financial independence.

Following are some easy and guaranteed tips to adopt for military people for controlling their expenditures and increasing their savings for a better future financially after their retirement.

Tip # 1: Make an account of all your expenditures:

Most of the military people don’t know their monthly or daily expenditures as they vary greatly. It is advised to them to make a notebook or a diary containing a day to day expenditure record. This helps in keeping a track of money that has been spent on even the little things.

The notebook will indicate the projected expenditures as compared to the actual expenditures per day. This will help you in getting an idea about your budget and allocation of money to food, transport and luxury expenditures.

With a record of your expenditures, you can easily verify how much of a spendthrift you have been. It helps in brain storming a person to leave some luxury habits of today, to lead the ultimate worry less life after military retirement.

Tip # 2: Organizing your Money for potential savings:

Systemize your money in way that you always have back up money for the more essential things. The significant things could even be some lavish items that may make your family happy and cheerful. You should always have a sizeable pocket for that.

Many experts have proposed to save at least 11-12 percent out of one’s military earnings per month for spending on long term investments and educational funding. Getting a savings account and then putting the amount each month into it might be of huge benefit later on, in life. Such savings could even be spent on family vacations or luxury commodities.

Evaluation:

When you organize your budget, it gives you a hint for controlling or cutting down some of the expenditures that were not necessary. It helps you in adopting essential savings oriented habits. It also guides one, to size down the monthly spending on lifestyle enhancements that might lead you to avail loans to cope up with it, later on. And loans or bank finance always increase the worries and tensions many-folds, and are even difficult to return.

Tip # 3: Give Priority to Yourself:

The first thing that most of the military people do after getting their pays is paying all the bills. Most of the financial experts term this habit as a common mistake. It is suggested to first give priority to investing a fixed amount of money for your future. Bills may be paid later, but investments are for today, its fruit is for tomorrow.

Budget For Your Family:

It is absolutely important to budget your family and their monthly expenditures. Personal Budgeting is the best way to accomplish your monthly saving goals.

You should first set your priorities that should include your investments and saving regime as well. Financial priorities should be food, accommodation, education and transport.

These grants are offered by non-profit organizations and veterans service organizations. These grants range from US$7,000 to US$10,000 and require application 90 days before the "Stand Down" event.

The government of United States of America is committed to help war-time veterans return to their normal lives. For this purpose, the government is sponsoring a “Veterans Education Assistance Program”. Now, war-time veterans can educate themselves regarding the jobs being offered in city life and even get full time employment. United States Department of Labor Veterans has allotted as much as US$600,000 for “Stand Down Grant” applications.

Stand Down Grants for War-Time Veterans

This sum of money shall provide social facilities and employment to as many as 10,000 veterans. In military, “Military Stand Down” is a term which refers to the retreat of a troop from frontier lines for exchange of clothes and food. After this procedure, the troop returns back to the combat zone. Many organizations in the United States of America are providing aid to homeless veterans which are helping them get in to active labor force.

Organizations for Stand Down Grants

The grants for all veterans are accepted by veteran’s service organizations and state workforce agencies. The “Stand Down Grants” are accepted for veterans on a first come and first serve basis. A grant for any multi-day event may be accepted and up to US$10,000 be rewarded. Similarly, one-day events can enable a war veteran to be granted as much as US$7,000.

Applying for Stand Down Grants

The “Stand Down Grants” are non-competitive grants but application for them must be done as quickly as possible. The companies which consider a “Stand Down Grant” application to be submitted must submit the application before 90 days of the actual event. The “Stand Down Grant” can help a war-time veteran is many ways.

Employment and Social Benefits to Veterans

A homeless veteran can get good employment opportunities and excellent social service facilities by the local community. A veteran must use the “Stand Down Grant” for improving his chances of being employed. A homeless veteran can slowly move towards his self sufficiency and fulfill all personal needs without the help of other people.

Using Stand Down Grants

The grant based services include hygiene services for the veteran including shower and haircuts. The regular health expenses of the war-time veteran are to be paid by the “Veteran`s Association”. This means that the “Stand Down Grant” must not be used to pay for a war-time veteran`s medical expenses. A war-time veteran can improve his position in society by making use of this service.

Some companies are really working for the provision of comfort to the military personnel through giving them a military loan at reasonable conditions. They are doing so through different offers and a military person has the option of choosing an offer that suits him.

Special incentives are offered by the banking institutions to the military personnel in their hardship times, so that they could get a relief from their various problems. Many companies offer good credit to aid the military in difficult times. For this purpose, loans are offered at lower interest rates. Some lenders are specially working in this regard, so that they could present good credit to aid the military in difficult times. Due to the reduction in the amount of interest rate, more military persons are interested to avail these loans. New rules are specially designed for the military personnel and it is insured that they could provide excellent credit to aid the military in difficult times.

What Is Necessary For A Military Person?

If you are dealing with a normal lender then you can ask him to decrease the interest rate up to a limit that is special for military personnel and the lender has to do its correction for you. You have the right to ask it and the lender is obliged to do it.

Allotment Payment-A Condition For Unsecured Loans

A bad credit loan might be unsecured that is why it is risky for the lenders. There is a condition of “allotment payment” for the military unsecured loans. It means that payments are deducted directly from your salary, so that security could be provided to the lender’s payment.

Benefits Of Allotment Payment

Condition of “allotment payment” provides security to the lenders and convenience to the consumers, because there is no risk of late payment or missing of a payment. In this way, you can enjoy an additional benefit of having an improvement in your credit rating through regular payments of installments.

Process Of Military Lending

Special application forms are issued by the military lenders on their websites. You can get an access to these websites easily. You are required to submit these application forms online after the filling of required information.

In addition, you can receive your loan very quickly, as they will transfer the loan to your account in a short period of time.

Importance Of Military Background Lenders

It is recommended that you must look for that lender which has a military background, so that they could understand your needs more accurately. These lenders could give you right direction throughout the process of lending and you could enjoy wonderful benefits through the use of their sound advice.

Benefits Of Payment Protection System

There is a facility of payment protection system which is really supportive to the military personnel in case of any mishap. It is similar to any other life insurance or disability insurance and it can respond to any critical situation.

Customer Care Services For Military Personnel

There is a facility of customer care service to the military personnel, so that they could make a contact with the lender in case of any problem. There are many companies on the internet who are working through the provision of good credit to aid the military in difficult times.
