CRYSTAL STUDDED PRAM STROLLER

La Rinascente Duomo department store in Milan unveiled a crystal studded pram earlier this month for a 'back-to-school' glittering celebration with parents. The event was organized by Vogue Bambini and Swarovski Elements. I am almost embarrassed to admit that if I were to have a child anytime soon this stroller would be on my wish list. It is GORGEOUS!

CHOPARD PAYS TRIBUTE TO DISNEY WITH NEW COLLECTION

Disney is one of those legends which will never cease to amuse and entertain. In order to keep the beauty of this fantastic fantasy world alive, several brands incorporate Disney themes into their products and there is never a fan shying away. This time around, renowned jeweler Chopard becomes yet another well-known brand to unveil a new Disney collection in October featuring Mickey Mouse. It will include watches, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and writing instruments and will come encrusted with diamonds and other gems. Prices for the collection will reportedly range from $40,000 to $200,000. The range is already gaining a lot of popularity and one Mickey medallion has already been prepurchased.

Roberto Cavalli and his animal prints are legendary. He is now bored, clearly, as he ventures into the world of furnishing. Next year he will be launching a home collection based on his well-known, much-loved animal patterns. The range will feature furniture, wallpaper, tiles, bed and table and bath linen. It will first be displayed at Milan’s Salone del Mobile furniture and design exhibition in April. R.E.M. CALL IT QUITS

Indie rock pioneers R.E.M. have decided to call it quits after 31 years and 15 albums, they announced on their website today.

"To our Fans and Friends: As R.E.M., and as lifelong friends and co-conspirators, we have decided to call it a day as a band. We walk away with a great sense of gratitude, of finality, and of astonishment at all we have accomplished. To anyone who ever felt touched by our music, our deepest thanks for listening."
The band released Collapse into Now earlier this year, which found the trio of Michael Stipe, Peter Buck, and Mike Mills sounding, per our reviewer, "refreshed and refueled." The band had also been working on a greatest hits retrospective for release in the near future.

D&G LINE

The company announced today that they're folding their diffusion line, D&G, into their signature Dolce& Gabbana collection. The spring 2012 D&G show that walked today in Milan is understood to be their last. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana issued a statement saying that the decision would allow them to put "even more strength and energy to our collections."
