Klea as you probably already know, brought us Millennium season 3's Special Agent Emma Hollis.

Introducing the Millennium Group Homepage - a central hub for the modern Millennium fan

After a private beta testing period, I'm pleased to announce the launch of our latest feature for fans of Millennium, Chris Carter's critically acclaimed television series, The Millennium Group Homepage.

Long time fans of Millennium will remember one or two fan created homepages over the years featuring the Millennium Group's Ouroborus logo, and whilst this one is no different in featuring the mystical symbol, the aim with our new version has been to make the page as genuinely useful as possible, whilst of course keeping in tradition with series.

Whilst the basic idea is to have the homepage function as an Internet browser homepage as per the request of our forum members, its also perfectly okay to bookmark the page and use it at any time.

Currently the Millennium Group Homepage has the following features:

Millennium Group logo with 'Welcome Frank' message and accurate 'days remaining' countdown message in tribute to the Millennium Group network log in screen as seen series.
Options to personalise the welcome message, the days remaining countdown timer and as an extra treat, select either the standard Group logo (Ouroborus) or the hacked Owl version depending upon your allegiance!
Ajax-powered Google Internet Search using the Google Search API, which means you can perform multiple Google searches without ever leaving the page and narrow your search to Web, News, Images, Blogs, Video (Youtube) and Books, even when flicking through the pages of results. Google currently limit their Search API to a maximum of 64 results, this is not changeable but should be more than enough. Also, there is a small issue with the Blog search results being limited to one page, this is awaiting a bug fix from Google.
Built in ajax-powered RSS import - to fetch, display and keep you updated with the latest topics from TIWWA Millennium Message Board (our forums), the latest news articles from our main website M-TIWWA and latest news from the BacktoFrankBlack.com campaign.
Options to smoothly open and close the various parts of the page depending upon your personal preference.
Integration with Millennium - Thisiswhoweare.net - Search our main website and if you prefer you can narrow your search parameters to episode transcripts, profiles (episode, cast, crew and character), our Music Guide, articles, reviews and more.
Rest assured, all internet searches via the Google Search function are private and are not logged, stored or accessible by us. Please follow the Privacy link at the bottom of the page for more details.

Your settings to personalise the page are stored in cookies on your local computer for 31 days (due to increase shortly), so its personalised every time you open your homepage unless the cookies are removed or expire. However you can change the options as many times as you like.

Unless you personalise the page, the welcome message is set to Frank (Black) and the days remaining currently match M-TIWWA, which is the amount of days remaining to the popular December 12, 2012 (the often quoted and supposed end of the Mayan calendar).

As the page has a permanent link, we are able to update the page with improvements without the need for users to download new versions. Simply bookmark the page or set it as your browser's homepage.

Listen to music and watch videos in our improved Millennium Music Guide

I'm pleased to announce that we have now added Youtube video's to our Millennium Music Guide, courtesy of Youtube's API. You can now instantly watch videos and listen to many of the songs and music profiled in our Music Guide, some of which include live versions. Examples include Patti Smith's Dancing Barefoot, America's A Horse with no Name and of course Love is Blue!

Not every song is available and videos will change given the frequent updates people make to Youtube. In many cases, HD versions of the videos exist for improved quality.

Its taken a long time to populate the Millennium Music Guide with the best combination of keywords through trial and error, I hope you find it useful and that the feature enhances your use of our music guide to Millennium.

Frank Black's Yellow House - A Bird's Eye View

You may already be familiar with our *Millennium Episode Locations Map, upon which we've plotted on top of satellite maps all of the main locations mentioned throughout the 3 seasons of Millennium. I like to keep the map updated when Google adds new features to their Google Maps API, so now you'll find the improved map controls and a useful Search Bar at the bottom left of the page from where you can search locations and get directions, ideal if you are planning a tour. Just click on the magnifying glass and the search box will slide out. I've added the same features to our forum's Member Map, which has the further addition of Google's somewhat controversial but extremely cool and useful Street View facility.

What's this got to do with Frank's Yellow House I hear you ask? Well whilst I was busy making these changes, I happened to check the similar Live Maps (Microsoft's mapping facility), and found it now contains 'Birds Eye View' images of the famous Black Family yellow house, long since painted white.

You can find these much more detailed aerial shots here, don't forget to zoom in and out and rotate the view around to get a different perspective.

BacktoFrankBlack: The Millennium Group Sessions, hosted by Troy Foreman and co-hosted by Jim McLean is now available for free download via BackToFrankBlack.com and on iTunes!

In the 60 minute pilot episode, Troy Foreman and Jim McLean keep you interested as they discuss the campaign's background information, news updates and there's a chat about the pilot episode of Millennium. You don't need an IPod or iTunes so don't let the name Podcast frighten you away! If you do have an MP3 player, MP3 capable phone or iPod, the Millennium Group Sessions makes for great listening, even on the train whilst you are commuting or during your lunch break!

Head over to BackToFrankBlack.com for the download link and instructions on how to find the enhanced version on iTunes. As its a large file, I'd recommend downloading it first for smoother playback, as opposed to streaming it via Windows Media Player especially if you are on a slow connection.

Simply enter your search key words into the M-TIWWA Search box or right click on a phrase in any web page to search our website. This is ideal if perhaps, you are browsing our forums and quickly want to access an episode profile for Gehenna, learn more about a character or search an episode transcript.

To install M-TIWWA Search:

John Muir interviewed on the Millennium TV series

The Grassy Knoll has published the first 1 hour part of a fascinating 3 hour interview with film and tv critic John Muir in which they discuss Chris Carter's Millennium television series.

This is a great interview, not to be missed, its full of interesting viewpoints on the many aspects of Millennium with some serious analysis of the finer points of Millennium, its symbolism, Lance Henriksen's incredible portrayal of criminal profiler and family man Frank Black, Lucy Butler and in depth analysis of some of the finer Season 1 episodes and the statements on society in the run up to the actual Millennium that they made.

Part 2 of the interview will apparently focus on Season 2 of the series and will be available on April 27. John Muir is a series fan and analyst of Millennium and has been an active supporter of BackToFrankBlack.com, the campaign headquarters working towards exposing the support for a Millennium feature film.

The interview is fun to listen too and despite its length, Grassy Knoll's Vyzogoth and John drive it along keeping you interested and if you like Millennium, its simply not to be missed.

A new page has been added to our Millennium Music Guide, highlighting the important release from LaLaLand Records of Mark Snow's 2008 Limited Edition Millennium soundtrack. The guide highlights track listings and features images from this fine 2 disc release for posterity.

LaLaLand Records has released a limited edition 2 CD set of Mark Snow's music from Millennium on Tuesday, December 2 2008. The first 100 orders will be autographed by composer Mark Snow and only 2000 copies of the release will be made available. The 2 disc sets will ship on 16th December. Preview tracks are available on the order page at LaLaLand.

This is an ideal opportunity to buy music from Chris Carter's Millennium, many of these tracks have never before been made available. Members of our message board were chomping at the bit waiting until the scheduled release time of 12PM PST (8pm GMT) in order to procure a signed copy. According to the website, these signed copies have now all been sold but at this current time there still appears to be unsigned stock available. Hopefully the fans of the show will beat the collectible traders for once.

Give Windows Vista the Millennium Group treatment with our new Vista Sidebar Gadget

Earlier this week we published the first in what will hopefully become a series of Millennium themed gadgets for Windows Vista.

All versions of Windows Vista feature a Sidebar facility which allows small programs (gadgets, sometimes known as widgets) to run (or be dragged onto the desktop). As far as we know this is the first available gadget for Vista inspired by Chris Carter's Millennium TV series.

MLM Ouroborus Countdown is gadget which you can install on Windows Vista's Sidebar, or simply drag and drop it from your sidebar to your desktop. The gadget resembles the familiar Millennium Group welcome log-in screen as seen in the television series and used by Millennium Group members. It features a golden Ouroborus and automatically displays your name and the number of days remaining. Rather than simply displaying the message, "Welcome Frank", the gadget is more personalised and instead displays the name of the current Windows Vista user.

Zone Horror changes Millennium to Monday 6th with a triple bill

UK television channel Zone Horror have changed the air date for their première of Chris Carter's Millennium television series from tomorrow (October 4th) to next Monday (the 6th) and instead will be screening the first 3 episodes back to back, Pilot, Gehenna and Dead Letters.

Zone Horror would appear to be following the traditional air date order of episodes which is also how they are presented on the DVD release. If you are interested in learning more about the varying episode order of Millennium, you can find out more here in our Episode Order Guide.

As well as a recent interview with writer Frank Spotnitz, Zone Horror have also added a new Millennium feature summary to their website entitled, "I see what the killer sees - Millennium on Zone Horror".

Zone Horror currently broadcast on Sky Digital Channel 319, Virgin TV Channel 170 and Freesat Channel 138. Zone Horror is currently available as a free-to-air service on Eurobird 1 and is part of Virgin Media's XL package. Its also believed the channel will soon be launched in Poland.

Back to Frank Black - The Millennium Movie Campaign

During September 2008, work commenced on a promotional campaign entitled Back to Frank Black to gather support and increase awareness of the demand for a Millennium movie. Inspired by the comments of Lance Henriksen and Frank Spotnitz, several of our forum members, led by Laredo (Jim) and ethsnafu (Mark) are creating a website with the assistance and collaboration of other respected fans, with a view to maximizing online interest with downloadable banners and information on who Frank Black was and why he should return. The campaign will encompass a professional, respectful and ethical letter writing campaign.

Zone Horror interviews Millennium writer Frank Spotnitz

Television channel Zone Horror are to commence airing Millennium on October 4th 2008. To coincide with their new acquisition, an interview with Frank Spotnitz, writer and co-executive producer on Millennium Season's 1 and 3 has been posted on their website. Its refreshing to see a new Millennium based interview after all these years.

Zone Horror currently broadcasts in the UK on Sky Digital Channel 319, Virgin TV Channel 170 and Freesat Channel 138.

You can learn more about the talented and respected Frank Spotnitz in his crew profile. Also of interest, MovieScope Magazine also posted a new interview with Frank Spotnitz in Volume 2 No3 2008 in which Frank talks about The X-Files series, the movie The X-Files: I Want to Believe and being 'blamed' for 9/11. They currently offer a free look at the digital copy on their website.

Millennium - The Complete DVD Collection Artwork (Region 1)

TVShowsonDVD have released a fantastic image of the packaging artwork for the region 1 18-disc set of Millennium - The Complete DVD Collection. The region 2 release of this box set of all 67 episodes of Millennium was released back in October 2005. The reason for the delay in getting this box set out for region 1 US consumers is unknown, but the release date is apparently October 28th, making it a great Halloween gift!

Fans in our forums have already noted that Amazon.com's specs for the contents of the discs are incorrect, with episodes such as The Judge, 52666 and The Well-Worn Lock seemingly missing from the list, as well as the second season episode 19:19. This is bound to be a snafu and its very unlikely that the actual release will be missing any episodes. The region 1 box set contains the same number of discs as the region 2 release, 18 in total. Perhaps we'll see some new special features in a possible Blu-Ray release one day.
