2010 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show

The 2010 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show kicks off on Wednesday March 10th and runs through Sunday, March 14th at the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park.

As we wrote about previously, discount tickets can be purchased online for $6.50 per ticket (a savings of $1.50 per ticket). Tickets purchased online can be printed at home or picked up at the Will Call window. Tickets are valid any day of the show.

Thursday, March 11th is Sports Show Scouts Day. Free admission will be available to all scouts and one troop leader per group from 2:30 pm to 7pm. Thursday is also Special Needs Day, where persons with disabilities will get free admission between 12pm and 5pm. More information on these promotions is available on the Sports Show website.

Milwaukee TV channels CW18 and My24 are offering The CW18/My24 Golf Club Card for the 2010 golf season. The card costs $99 (plus shipping and handling), and includes rounds of golf at 11 different golf courses in Southeastern Wisconsin. If purchased separately, the rounds of golf would cost over $600. A limited number of cards are available. The participating courses are:

Free Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee on Mondays in March

Dunkin’ Donuts is offering a free medium coffee or iced coffee on Mondays for the remainder of March. No purchase is necessary, just stop into Dunkin’ Donuts and pick up your free coffee anytime on March 8th, 15th, 22nd, or 29th. Information about this promotion was emailed to Dunkin’ Perks members. The email doesn’t say that you need to be a Dunkin’ Perks member to get free coffee.

Although there are around 6,000 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in the United States, there are only 4 stores in the Milwaukee area. The Business Journal reported in 2008 that Dunkin’ Donuts planned to open 50 stores in the Milwaukee area in the future. As of now, that expansion has not yet started.

Unique Admirals Promotion – Bring a Dog to Sunday’s Game For Only $2

This Sunday, March 7th, the Milwaukee Admirals take on the Peoria Rivermen at 4:00pm at the Bradley Center. The Admirals will be running two promotions: a Dog Day Afternoon and Private Bank Family Day.

A Dog Day Afternoon

According to the Admirals website:

Fans can bring their dogs to the game along with them for only $2 (human tickets are $16). $1 from every dog ticket will be donated to the Wisconsin Humane Society.

All dogs and their owners will be seated in the 400-level and there will be a dog watering station located on the concourse of the 400 level as well. All dogs should enter on the Northwest corner (Gate D) of the building. While there are no breed restrictions, the Admirals and the Bradley Center do reserve the right to deny entry.

In addition the first 500 fans with dogs will receive a Pedigree Doggie Bag. Plus, the Humane Society will have an information table on the 200-level concourse and they will also have dogs that are available for adoption at the game as well.

Private Bank Family Day

Purchase 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, and 4 small Pepsi products for just $40. After the game, fans can lace up the skates and hit the ice for a family skate. Private Bank Family Packages must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance. The Admirals ticket office will be open on Saturday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Free Admission to the Milwaukee County Zoo on Saturday, March 6th

Saturday, March 6th is a Family Free Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Visitors will receive free Zoo admission (parking fees still apply). The zoo is open from 9:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M.

North Shore Bank and Fox 6 sponsor several Family Free Days throughout the year. The next Family Free Day is Saturday, April 10th.

Tigers vs. Brewers Exhibition Tickets For Only $10

The Detriot Tigers will be taking on the Milwaukee Brewers for two exhibition games at Miller Park during the first weekend in April. Game times are at 7:10pm on Friday, April 2nd, and 1:10pm Saturday, April 3rd. The exciting part about this deal is that all seats at Miller Park are only $10 each, so it gives some fans an opportunity to sit in seats they wouldn’t normally purchase. For instance, great seats in the Field Infield Box section were still available at the time of this post. A convenience fee of $1 per seat will be charged to online orders. Tickets can be purchased online, at the Miller Park Box Office, or by calling the Brewers Ticket Office at 414-902-4000.
