That’s my name and at the moment there are 240 results for a search of “Justin Doody”. My facebook page shows up as number one of the many results but most of the rest are dominated by other random people also named Justin Doody. I do have a few links to newspaper articles from when I was younger. With only 240 results it shouldn’t be hard for this post to rank in the top three. While the name Justin is quite common my last name of Doody is not andwhen combined creates a name only given to a honarary few.

Anways if you found this page searching for me that’s cool and your probably looking for some information.

Use Long Tail Keywords Niche Traffic Results

Ok even I will admit that the title of this post was kind of forced to get the keyword in. That’s what this post is about though so I think it’s excusable. Chances are if you found this post it’s because you googled one of the long tail keywords that I am optimizing this post for. Seeing as this blog has no other traffic to account for this test could be interesting. Long tail keywords as you probably already know are keywords that consist of a few words and are very specific. The benefits of this can be that you can deliver to a user exactly what they are looking for. It should also be very easy to rank for the term as it should have little to no competition for the exact phrase match. The dissadvantage is of course that not that many people search for long tail keywords. So you usually want to combine a number of long tail keywords to get some decent traffic. This post is part of a case study on whether this is a good practice. Cough Cough keyword stuffing long tail keywords niche traffic what?

How do I find long tail keywords? I start out using a tool called gtrends by wordtracker, it’s free… google it. Start by typing a general term, this generates some good keywords that have traffic. Take one of those and put it in as the keyword and it will give you more specific keywords, the ones you are looking for. Go through these looking for the ones with any traffic above 10 visitors a day and 0 - 20 pages in competiton. Optimize a page for these keywords. You don’t need to stick the phrase all over the place. Just a few times as you have no other competition your page is the only one for the phrase. You probably want to blend the keyword in as you normally would but for my study I am just going to come out and state that one of my keywords is keywords in your niche long tail traffic. I really didn’t know how to blend that into a a sentence. Anyways I suggest that you take advantage of this type of traffic and I hope my case study goes well. Ok before I start out with this post I need to admit that yes this is slightly (ok quite) hypocritical of me seeing as I am writing this on a blog. Starting a blog was such a unique idea of mine wasn’t it! However the main idea I would like to get across is that you will never be extremely successful if you just copy others ideas. As a new blogger it can be tempting to want to plaster your blog with all kinds of ads in an effort to “get rich quick”. To experience the success in the long run that your looking for you have to ignore this impulse. As a new blogger your focus should be on building up a reader base not making money. Still Setting Up

I decided to write this post just to fill up the page some more as I continue to customize it and set it up for some real content. Hopefully this will let it have a better blog feel. If in the unlikely chance someone is reading this… I suggest you subscribe :). This blog is going to be big and you will want to get in on the game early.
