AVON'S ANEW GENICS!!!

That's what I felt upon seeing the newest product from Avon - Anew Genics. I knew I needed to get one.

I've been using the product everyday single night and day and it's AMAZING!! I did see visible results. One thing that I noticed is around the eyes. I go to sleep at night really late and when I wake up in the morning I can see sagging left eye with big eye-bags. But then when I started putting Anew Genics, the sagginess disappeared. And the dark circles were now bidding goodbye. The skin also felt firmer and more radiant. I just love how it does not give me irritations or any aggravations to the pimples that I was having at that time when I purchased it.

I am really just happy that I came to purchase this product. Though I did not really put up high expectations at first because I don't want to get disappointed but hey " this thing is really love". I wish I had pictures for you to be able to see it, but nah... I do not have a decent cam for you to appreciate :D

The only downside for this is the price. It costs 1700+ . I was able to purchase mine at around 1300+ as an introductory price and being an Avon Lady I only get to pay 995 for this. I almost ordered two of these and now I am blaming myself of not having done so :(

Will I buy this again? YES WITH A BIG YES. I just hope once in a while they will have this on sale.

This 2012, I am making a promise to write more on this blog, may it be reviews, rants or just anything under the sun to pour my heart out!!! :)

So here'S my section on MINI REVIEWS!!!

Mini reviews will just cater, as the title itself "mini", small reviews but definitely a worth-it-to read for reviews for the products I had used on the past months or so.

SO HERE IT GOES ...............

1. Maybelline's BB Cream

I love the dewy effect this cream gives onto my face. It does not have a weird scent to begin with. Using this with an acne breakout, I find this product a little bit okay with covering up the acnes and the blemishes, but I don't seem finding to buy another one on this. Maybe I'll try other BB creams as I am not sure if this one worsened my acne, but for now, I stopped using this and still in search of my acne culprit!

2. Maybelline's Clear Smooth All in One Shine Free Face Powder

When I started using this product, I did not like it! And I did not get to finish up the whole powder because it was broken up into pieces :( I was actually using a face brush at that time and I think it was not a good idea using the brush. On my second purchase I used its sponge applicator and this time it was LOVE!!!! I liked how it matches up my skin color. I love how it melts on the skin and leaves no sign of the powder at all!! Throughout the day my face is just a little bit shiny, but its staying power is good about a half day or so.

3. Maybelline and Avon's Lip Balm in Cherry

These two, I don't like!!! Mainly because they are too shiny (Maybelline) and too red (Avon) for my liking!!

4. Dolce & Gabanna Perfume in Light Blue

This is a Christmas gift from the aunt. It has this powdery mild scent smell. I like using this on occasions as it gives you a baby scent. It actually stays on the whole day.

5. Avon's AM and PM Solution's Cream

This tandem goes to the neck :) Why? Because I experienced breakouts with them. I do not want to throw them away so I thought of using this to the neck for day and night :)

So I guess that ends the MINI REVIEW section.!!! Yipeey.....I hope to make more of these soon on this year (fingers cross) :)

Avon Reviews: Rose and Rose hips Toner & Whitening Cream with SPF f15

I am sure feeling a little quite inspired on doing reviews this 2012. I just posted a review on Asian Secrets minutes, oh yeah, minutes ago!!! :) And this time, I am doing a review on Avon's Rose and Rose hips Toner and Whitening Cream.

While having some purchases, Avon was able to send me a sample sachet (2g) on rose and rose hips whitening cream with spf15.

At first, I didn't bother to use it because I am afraid that it might worsen my ache breakout! I was having such a hard time on cystic pimples and I was breaking out crazily. But then I still gave it a try and here's some of my points on the products:

Rose and Rose hips Toner:

1. It has a mild scent of a rose that is not irritating to smell at.

2. It leaves you a non-sticky feel after using it on the face.

3. For its effects, I can say that it did not worsen the acne breakout. I had been using it morning and night and I am happy that it helps lessen out. This is the only toner that I had used since (i am a fan on putting toner to the face, :D)

4. The 100ml bottle will go a long way, I believe.

5. The price -- its super cheap!! I got this for only 100+ or so.

-- i am having my pledge on continue using this given it does not give me any untoward effects until the bottle finishes up, as I have a habit of not finishing products until the end --

Rose and Rose hips whitening SPF 15

1. They more or less have the same scent with the toner and it is not irritating to smell at.

2. It gives you a matte finish or for oily ladies it doesn't give you that super duper oily affect effect and I love it!!

3. It absorbs on the skin quickly given that you do not put so many cream on the face as it will leave you a whitish cast. Be sure to spread it out evenly on the face on an upward motion.

4. Given that I am using this in the middle of acne problem and it did not worsen out the acne, I must say that this products works well on me.

5. For its whitening effect, I still have to use this for a long time and get back to you folks if I can see the effects. But I am excited because if the product is effective then my acne marks will become visibly lighter and I am hoping and looking forward for that to happen!!

6. I got this for 99 pesos only!! I love AVON because they always have this promos and you got to have their products at a very low low price and bonus points given that I am an Avon lady (but I am not being biased on my reviews here, hehe) I get to have 25% discount!! Top that :)

I will be having my pledge to stick to these two products morning and evening and really see if these two will work out :)

All in all, I just hope and wish that these product will work for me. I am not aiming for that whitening effect but what I just want from the product is that I hope it would lessen out breakouts on the face!!! As I feel super irritated on it already and conscious.

Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub

Its been super duper longgggggggggg time ago since I have done postings on this blog. I blame on the lack of time and lack of inspiration :(

But here I am again, even feeling sleepy while doing this as we were having a blast at the Sinulog event yesterday, I am doing a review on Asian Secrets Lulur Body Scrub!

First thing, I got to know this amazing product via beauty bloggers online! And one time while going to Watsons SM Cebu, I spotted this body scrub, picked it up and gave it a try at home!

My verdict ---- AMAZING!!!!

Yes, the product really really works. Why? Here's why:

1. After a week of continued usage, I noticed that my arms looked a bit lighter. I feel that its because of the exfoliating effect of the scrub. It sloughs off dead skin cells that has already accumulated on the skin causing its darkening spots.

2. After finishing the whole tube, which I think lasted for about a month, a noticeable lighter (not whiter) skin was noted. I used it on the whole body, targeting those dark areas like the elbows, knees, groin area, armpit.

3. The scent is so oh-heavinly! I love the scent of the scrub, not so over powering to the nose considering I have such a sensitive sense of smell :) and the tiny scrubs are not painful unto the skin, just right to make you feel you are scrubbing off those dead skin.

4. The price!!! Yes, the price is super duper duper affordable at P130 only!!! If I had the money I would hoard a dozen of these scrubs!!!

It is evident that this product works because I cannot seem to easily find this on Watsons as it is always OUT OF STOCK!! BOOOO....

I finished up the whole tube last November, and I am off to the second tub this month.

One thing I noticed is that my first tub was the violent-tube color scrub which has licorice and mulberry extract while the second tube was the green one which has the green tea and vitamin E component.

Well that's it folks!! You gotta try Asian Secrets Body Scrub, I'm 100% sure that you'll love its effects!!!

YESSS I AM becoming one! ♥♥ and I am loving it.. Recently I had ordered another three soaps from By Nature Handmade Soap

namely Icy Choco, Citrus White, and Utter Bliss. I had just tea tree as the original order but then changed it to Utter Bliss since I decided to give it a close friend who will soon be flying off to Bahrain for work (sniff sniff *_*).

This has been my 3rd batch purchase from a local reseller here in Cebu. I had already blogged about my very first soaps from By Nature Handmade and I tell you they are sooooooooooo good and yummy too. It always make me feel that I want to shower, shower, and shower again and again without me worrying having a dry skin from repeated showers (hahahahhaa!)

I am soo hooked with their icy flavored soap.. I had Mint Fantasia the very first time around and it was such a heavenly feel (believe me!) So I ordered Icy Choco. The thing is I did not actually really smell chocolate in it, the mint aroma I guess overpowered it, but I don't really care! ( I guess I was actually lemming only for the mint, tosh tosh).

Then I reordered Citrus White because I wanted to have than even fair skin. I really cant say it whitens, but hey I am giving this another try since I used it only once..hehe

And oh, I almost forgot, I also had Minty Rosemary!!!! Still mint, I know. But it had an added aroma of rosemary in it and rosemary leaves too!!!

Overall, these soaps are really making me an addict! They all have the same feel after usage, soft and moisturized skin! But what I liked mostly about them is that they are almost if not all 100% natural!!! The soap "flavors" (as I call them) are there to give me the excitement and the smiles while taking a bath!

I got these bars around 150php to 175php. Yes, they might be too pricey for a soap, but they are worth it! Maybe you might give it a try but I am giving you a warning.. these soaps are addicting.......... in a good way!!!!!

HELLO WORLD........

As I say this with a big smile :)

August is such a month with so much surprises for me, though it may be a not-so-good surprises because it entails lots of missed finances, but at the end of the day I am still ending it with a great big smile on the face.

On the good side, I am happy to be back on a part time homebased medical transcription!!! Yipeey! I remember this plan has been on my list coming this year and it happened and I am sooooooooooo happy!! (talking about more income) hehe..

And maybe that's all for this post.. hoping to really blog blog blog in the following days.!! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE.. MWAH.

By Nature Handmade Soaps : Very Oatmeal, Citrus White, Mint Fantasia and Fair Geranium

While making some online purchases through a local reseller here in Cebu, Ate Shelly introduced me to a brand of soap which she loves! ByNature Handmade Soaps. She was raving about the product and she told me how her and her family’s skin was made softer while using this soap! So without a doubt I told her that I’ll buy and try it. While searching the website I found out that there are looottssssss of soap variants to choose from. My first purchases were Very Oatmeal and Citrus White.

These two soaps made my every day bath such an indulgence! Every after bath my skin felt smooth and moisturized. This combo also is best for exfoliating and literally you can shed off your dead skin without worrying a drying effect! I had used these soaps for about a month and a half and I am happy that for that span of time I did not develop any pimples on my face! But then I stopped using them and switch to Beauche’s kojic soap. Unlucky for me, after days of using the soap, one big pimple popped out of my face! I then called Ate Shelly and asked ordered another set of soap. But this time I was eyeing for Mint Rosemary with mild scrub but she did not have any stock on it and suggested Mint Fantasia! Learning it was still mint I told her that I’d buy one with Fair Geranium as well!

The same feeling of excitement was felt after receiving the soaps. I was too excited to take a shower as a result I woke up a bit early than usual :) I feel in love with the Mint Fantasia as soon as I used it. I just love the mint scent and the cooling effect it leaves on my skin! Such an indulgence, a little bit of heaven in my shower!! Hehehe! Pairing it with Fair Geranium makes the shower experience heavenly. Fair Geranium has this woody scent, not too overpowering, just a mild scent of spice and it has its whitening properties too!

Overall I am super duper satisfied with the soaps and still is feeling the excitement of trying other variants as well. But Mint Fantasia will also be on top of the list! The soaps may be a little bit pricey but it does not matter anyways because you’ll get what you pay for! Standard soaps cost you P115 and the special ones P145 (Cebu Price). Im Back and Blabbing with my Sickness :(

Its been such a long time since I hadn't blog on the personal note (blame it on the no internet at home, hehe ), but I still don't have a stable net for now, just using my Globe Tattoo loaded on Globe's Supersurf 50:) I had the urge to blog because I was excited to getting used to the new PC!! weeee.. yup I bought a new PC just weeks ago and deciding also to go back to home base (part time since I have a full time work in an office).. But with all these excitement on mind it was cut short with this humiliating sooooooooooo painful amoebiasis!!!!

You heard me right, I had amoebiasis right now. While typing this blog I am suffering a very terrible abdominal cramps. It sucks to be sick!! :( :( :(...

But still I know I'll be fine and I soon have my plans off the road :)

I remember doing a product review of this one last August 18, 2010 and from then on I have not stopped searching it in the world wide web and at last i found it, woooooooooooooooooooooooo!! One day I started searching it and fortunately I found one selling!! My searching powers were working ! I didn't think twice in buying and I bought not only one but two... yeyeyeye.. but if I only had more more money, ill be hoarding it.. Hmm.. wondering what I am talking about, on welll............. MISTINE WHITE SPA DEODORANT!!!

Haha you must be laughing right now! Yes, a deodorant. I uberly love this product! Why?You gotta read (again) the reasons why I go gaga over this one!!!

Im in love with the smell. It just right for me. It has this powdery scent and it lasts the whole day!
It does not give you a sticky feel when put it on your underarms and it dries up in seconds!!
The best thing of all --- it whitens in one bottle use!! As I had observed it lessens up the chicken skin underarms that I have. Oh its lalala loveeeee...

Two bottles could last up to 4 months of usage (I believe). I'm crossing my fingers that I can buy another one when these are used up :) These are not locally available at store (I'm wondering why Watson's are not having these anymore ). One bottle cost up 190php or about $4. It's actually very costly but hey it works!!! You may want to try it and give me a feedback on how it works for you.. Share the love :)

PS: Unfortunately I was not able to have pictures on this one as I do not have a very good camera on hand :( grrr. But no worries you can search it on the net :)

A heart rocking Valentines day!

Since Mr G arrived in my life, he never fails to give a treat for Valentines Day which I don't usually celebrate in the past. Since then I always dreamed of someone giving me flowers on Valentines Day but unluckily for me it has not yet, yes! not yet happen, hehe... even meeting already Mr G already! Hmmm, his really not into flowers but his really really into CAKES! This has been the 2nd time celebrating Valentines Day with a heart shaped cake from Goldilocks limited edition Valentines Day Choco-Caramel Cake! (picture below)

We had been celebrating ♥'s day for three young years now. But this year, we needed to celebrate it a day advance because Mr G needs to go out of town for work on that day.

Same as last year, we had it celebrated at home (oh, we always do, hehe). Mom and Mr G cooks the food for our ♥'s dinner! And not to mention, the ever heart shaped cake from Goldilocks! The one that they only sell only during Valentines Day! I really do not know the name, but its some kind of a chocolate moist cake with caramel sauce on a separate container. We had grilled pork belly and good drinks to finish off the dinner. The early afternoon/night was spent with a home full of laughter, fun, and love! We had our fair share of singing too, the karaoke way! hehe.

I am really filled with joy because I found someone who does not only sees me, but also sees the people I love the most, my family. Not just because he needs to put his best foot forward because his "the boyfriend" but because he genuinely shares happiness to them wholeheartedly and that rocks my beating heart for him!

It was last week when I had bumped on to some Organic Site… talking about Human Heart Nature.

With some few browsers of reviews and the like I was convinced on buying some products…t’was I bought four which consist of, Peppermint Lip balm, Sunflower Beauty Seed Oil, Royal Jelly Night Moisturizer, and Cocoa Butter, Goat’s Milk and Mango Hand and Body Lotion.

Peppermint Lip Balm:

I soooooooooooo uberly looveee this!! I love its peppermint smell plus the minty feel on your lips, though the mint does not last that long, about a few minutes, but it just feels sooo good!! It also made my dry, cracked lips moisturize, yes, talking about dry lips, its me! Having on an air-conditioned office for about 9 hours really made my lips dry, dry dry, but I am so happy to find this lip balm, it really works magic for my lips.

I will absolutely buy this again and again and forever. On the other note, I want to try their other lip balm flavors, and I know ill also go gaga over them, that’s for sure.

For the Sunflower Beauty Seed Oil and the Royal Jelly Moisturizer I guess it’s too early for me to tell if it works or not. Honestly, I got some few bumps on my face, but I’m hoping in the long run my face would be able to adjust to these products, I’m still observing really this time.

For Cocoa Butter, Goat’s Milk and Mango Hand and Body Lotion, this smells good really, but I guess my sinuses does not actually like its scent. Blame it to my uberly sensitive sense of smell, tsk tsk tsk but it actually leaves your skin soft and moisturize though.

I am actually thinking of being a member and resell these products as I believe these products are good. Talking about ORGANICS and they are so much affordable, really really affordable.

Left to Right : Royal Jelly And Aloe Vera Moisturizer, Sunflower Beauty Seed Oil, Hand and Body Lotion Mango Scent, Lip Balm in Peppermint Flavor.

I am eying now on their Love Mineral Make-ups. As you all know from my current post that I am so crazy these days with mineral blushes blushes blushes!!! And they actually have one… hmmmm.. another purchase is on the way I guess crossing fingers though.

These recent days I found myself hauling/drooling over blushes!! I actually don’t know why that every time I see one, I felt the need to buy it!

Just earlier ago, I bought Sophie Martin Magic pink blush. I hurriedly went home after we made meet ups to get the products. Then I realized next week another meet up will happen for my newly ordered Ellana blushes!! Gosh, what’s happening, why I am in so with blushes, blushes, blushes?? And I thought, well they just make me feel happy and that’s it!

Ill be having a review with all of my blush purchases soon, as for now I will be patiently and giggly waiting for my Ellana blush. And oppss, thinking of purchasing blushes from Pureglow though and Fanny Serrano’s blushes too…. Crossing my fingers on my blush on, I’m smelling a collection in the making here :)

As for my Ellana iIhad chosen, happiness and fulfillment, hope it looks good on my skin :) super excited na to have this two...

and it means its time for Christmas party....

Recently we held our party at Cebu Wetlands Resort. It was a night full of fun, good people and sumptuous foods..

everybody seems to have so much fun, especially with our gift giving..weeee

and then there's our Christmas presentation

we didn't won from our presentation but we enjoyed it to the highest level!! :)

at the end of the day, we all made a good fun.. it was nice having good people around to work with.. till next Christmas!!!

What a good day to start the week....... with RED eyes! Yes, sore eyes is coming to town, particularly to our family! It started with my cousin, then with my sister, my father and now me and unfortunately mama.. tsk tsk tsk.. the virus is such a no-resist virus at all..hehehe

Luckily for me, I can now avail my sick leave, leaving me worry-free for my salary this payday!!! WOOTTT but then having this sore eyes made me ask question on what is this freaking virus that is up here in my clear brown eyes!!!!

Oh well, having my research (google of course) these are the information for sore eyes..

What is sore eyes?
Sore eyes is a common term for an inflammation of the thin covering of the eyeball and the inner eyelid brought about by a viral infection which may be highly contagious.

How does sore eyes spread?
Sore eyes can spread by contact of contaminated hands with the eyes (hand-to-eye contact) or through touching of eyes with hands, which got into contact with contaminated surfaces or objects. It can also spread through droplets from a person with sore eyes, who also has a runny nose or cough.

What are the signs and symptoms of sore eyes?
* Redness of the eye
* Eye discomfort describing as burning or gritty but not sharp
* Vision is usually normal although smearing particular in waking, maybe common.
* Pain on the eye on exposure to light

How long does sore eyes last?
Signs and symptoms of sore eyes will peak in three to four days, and patient will be relieved and recover in about 10 to 14 days. (need only 2 days for my sick leave, oh please sore eyes get out right now)

What are the complications of sore eyes?
After a severe and prolonged infection there can be corneal scarring that can result in glare and decreased vision.

Is there a treatment for sore eyes?
Sore eyes, which is of viral origin, is self-limiting. Anti-inflammatory and antibiotic eye drops or ointment may be used upon the advice of a health professional. To relieve the discomfort, warm compress may be applied to the eye 5 to 10 minutes three times a day.

How do you prevent sore eyes?
* Wash hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water.
* Do not touch your eyes and face without washing your hands.
* Do not share towels, eyeglasses/ shades and make up.
* Do not reuse handkerchiefs (using a tissue is best).
* Used make-up must be thrown away if the patient has been diagnosed with infectious conjunctivitis.
* Be careful that tips of eye drops or ointments do not touch the eyes or eyelashes.
* Don’t swim (some bacteria and viruses can be spread in the water).
* Avoid shaking hands.
* Disinfect surfaces, doorknobs, counters, elevator buttons, hand rails with dilute bleach solution.
Clothes, towels, pillow cases and anything else which may have come in contact with an infected person should be washed.
What should patients with sore eyes do?
* Frequently wash hands with soap and water.
* Use clean tissue to remove discharge from eyes and wash hands afterwards.
* Dispose used tissue in garbage bins. If the latter is not available, keep tissue in a small plastic bag then discard it as soon as you find a garbage bin.
* To prevent irritation of the eye and possible scarring, do not use contact lens while one has sore eyes.
* Do not wear eye make-up until the problem has been resolved.
* Warm compress may be helpful to relieve discomfort and remove "crust."
* Use antibiotic or antiviral medication only upon prescription by the doctor.
* If drops or an ointment is prescribed, the applicator tip and infected eye must never come in contact with each other.
* Especially for persons with sore eyes with runny nose or cough, stay in a separate room or away from other family members or co-workers.

Should I report for work if I have sore eyes?
As much as possible, do not report for work. If circumstances require you to report for work, especially if you have sore eyes accompanied by runny nose and/or cough, stay in a separate room or away from other employees. In workplaces where you mingle or work closely with other employees, it is best to stay at home.
(oh yeah I did the right thing of not reporting to work on my red eye day!)

Should I go to school and attend classes if I have sore eyes?
Spread of sore eyes can be hastened by crowding and close contact with other persons thus, those with sore eyes are advised not report to school.

Until when should one be absent from work or school?
Until the symptoms have resolved and until there is no discharge from the eyes. (hmm hopefully Friday would be the day)

YES, i missed being online 24/7, unlike before i used to have internet access at home, all day/time I want but now with my disconnected smart bro (for some reasons) I get to go online once in a while!! (BOOOOHOO to me).

But this will soon change....................................

With my New Year's resolution.. its on my number 1...get back my Internet connection?!!!!!!

Ponds Facial Wash with Activated Carbon + Vitamin B3

I was a bit curious actually when I saw the commercial for Ponds newest product line, Ponds Facial Wash with Activated Carbon + Vitamin B3. Well honestly I am the type of person who gets really carried away on the product I see on TV and always wanted to try, but for some reason wouldn't, (yeah yeah some financial reasons =). But when the new product from Ponds came out, I knew I wanted to try it.

While having my bi-monthly grocery at our local supermarket, I excitedly searched for Ponds facial wash. I was easily attracted by it packaging. Its black with a touch of pink, such a nice combination and isn't it unique for some sort of facial wash!!. As impulsive as I am, I snapped out one sachet from the shelf (yeah, only the sachet thingy) because I really do not actually want to spend on something which I haven't trialed on first. And thanks to Ponds sachets are available and not to mention too affordable.

At home I excitedly tried on the product. I started looking thoroughly at the packaging and read on. Then i bumped my eyes on the component pulverize carbon and telling myself this must be the activated carbon. Opening the sachet is as easy as 1, 2, 3 and yes I wasn't expecting it color, its pearly gray! And this I said, yes, this must really have carbon in it =)

I hurriedly used it on my face, having the routinely upward outward motion. I love its smell. It did not actually trigger my sensitive nose. I leave it on for only a bit of few seconds (because I was too excited) and then washed it off.

I was surprised how my skin felt so clean. I did not get the feeling of tightness nor some itchiness as I used to feel for other facial wash or even in my kojic soap, and I am much happy for that. Looking at the mirror, it looked so clean. I felt like, wow, activated carbon must have been really working (naks!!). It even made me happier when I knew it would pair out perfectly with my St. Dalfour cream. The morning effect was so overly lovable that I decided not to put on some loose powder anymore because i love the look on my face.

The prices are much affordable with P13 for the sachet and around P79 for the tube its worth it and worth a try.
