During the time that I took care of my sick father with Parkinson's disease, your name came up quite a bit. Please hear me out in full.

While I respect your desire to conduct research to get to the cause of the disease, I am going to tell you that by giving people results that tell them they have "high markers" for the disease, you are in effect, giving them death sentences. The same type of death sentence that a doctor gave to my Dad.

Stop telling them results. They will in effect create the disease. It's called "inferential suggestibility."

I watch people obsess. They forget to live and instead, live in fear of creating this disease. Then what happens? They create it.

You should know the power of intention and desire when you created your company. Go back there and think about how powerful that is.

Most people cannot handle suggestibility, especially when it comes from the medical world. I have had training and know better than to buy into these remarks, because they are only just an opinion. Most of these doctors write out pieces of paper for prescriptions, never fully realizing the brevity of what these medications do and how awful they can be. They tend to forget their oath of, "do no harm." Their egos are so god-complexed, that Napoleon pales in comparison to what I fought daily in the medical world to get my dad the best care possible.

It's very plain and simple. I will NEVER take your test. EVER.

Why not?

Because you have no right to tell me about my life.

It is my right to decide how and when I die. If I choose peacefully in my sleep, that is my right, my decision, and my choice. It always has been, and always will be.

Instead, take some of your millions, and create great facilities just for people living with the disease. They don't belong in hospitals, they don't belong in mental facilities, and they don't belong in assisted living. Home is tough without help for those living with the disease. I know. I did it. I lived through it ALL. Parkinson's patients belong in a place where they can be comfortable, living with other people facing it too, so that they know that they aren't alone. That's right. So that they know they aren't alone.

What's worse than going through something? Going through it alone.

The VA understood this. Given that Parkinson's is 1 of 10 diseases on the list as an effect of Agent Orange, they know how to handle it. But it's a hospital type world there, and there's only one place in SF for people living with it to have a real home where they can live and be among others in a sense of community. Create more around the country.

Give them some dignity. Give them some hope. Give them a place to live where they are given the best care.

If you are going to continue your research, which I am for, stop telling people how it results. Stop creating and perpetuating something that most people cannot block and change. Keep your results to yourself and research from there.
