Well you can tell I really like prawn fishing as I had 2 posts continuously. Prawning is really fuss free. You don't worry about things like using own equipments or transporting your catch back because you can decide to cook and eat it there. Sometimes I just gave up my catch to somebody if I got plans later.
Went again last sat. Used left over 3hrs balance from previous time. Me & mike had a rod each for 2hrs..bit rate was ok and we caught 30 prawns. The boss was friendly enough to offer us some baby guppies to use as bait when Mike asked him for some. Haha lucky!I like the way how mike set up the fire for the prawn. He must have pickup the skill during his scouting days.
It was fun seeing all the prawns got cooked so quickly..i ended up having too much prawn that i got sick on my last few..but the meat was good and I thought this would be the best way to cook it.

Doesn't look many right? But it was really 30 there.

Mike is already an expert with the fire. I just meddle around..

Gave up patin fishing today..better luck at prawning. I caught 24 wth 3hrs which is cosidered not bad for my standard lol..

My 1st Patin finally!

I caught my very 1st patin yesterday at Kranji Farm Resort fishing pond using a pole fishing method. I The concept very interesting as you only pay $4 for a 5-6 feet rod (without reel) with a 6 pound line and small hook tied to it using bread dough. There is no time restriction so you can stop any time you want and and hook up as many fish you can as long the line don't snap. I paid only $8 in total which I think is a good deal. I wasn't very familiar in the start and exerted too much pressure at the 1st hook up and snapped my line. I gradually understand the tactic by observing the rest that that you should play or move along with the fish and slowly tire it out and bring it up steadily.The rule is you have to do it all by yourself without 2nd party's aid. It is ok if you pass the rod to someone and let him/her bring up the fish. No netting allowed of course.

I was very hopeful when I tied my 2nd line for a 2nd try. My heart freezed when I felt a taut again..I gave a sturdy pull and VOILAH I got it!! The hook was set and I can see a nice size patin attached. Determined to get it this time, I calm myself and steadily played with it for a while before I had it landed. As I have never handle a patin before, I passed the rod to Mike so he can help me hold the fish by the tail to land it safely.

The one I caught weighs 1.4kg and Mike caught a 1.9kg not long after me. He too snapped twice so both of us spent a good $16 in total. What a gd price:)

There is a restaurant next to the pond and we were told to have our fish prepared there. We waited nearly an hour for the food to serve as the restaurant was crowded during the weekend. The fish was steamed with fried 'cai por' (pickled radish) as recommended by the pond owner and it taste wonderful. I am not a fish lover so I didn't eat much as I can detect a slight muddy taste. Mike whipped it out in the end.

I highly recommend this place if you want a cheap and fast thrill. The only draw back is it is considered far for those staying east area and only 1 type of fish which is patin. But I think it is still worth coming in the end.

Phuket Fishing Trip 19th-23th Dec

While I've been silent on blogger, I was looking for free video editing software to edit my videos so to save you guys from wasting time viewing boring intervals scenes of me fighting the fish pathetically (my inexperience & weak stamina to blame). Previously I was too dependent on my trusty LG phone video editor but it died on me one day. I have no software to work now :( I tried downloading free from the internet but none of them works for me as it is too complicated or they got this irritating words on top of the video I've edited asking u you to buy their full version..sigh..I gave up and decide to buy a proper software now. Hope to upload the videos real soon.

Ok this post is going to mark a memorable milestone of my entire fishing achievement..I was feeling really excited before the trip as I have not gone to a foreign water to fish before (not mentioning JB). We thought having a dec holiday oversea and having able to fish would be a perfect plan. We set our mind on Phuket as we have never been there before and wanted to explore this beautiful island.

Right after flight & accommodation has been settled, I began to hear many negative comments about friends complaining poor results they got at Phuket. The Sam Hui look alike guy from changi pro tackle shop said the same too..Now this really freak me out. Is it that bad??!!? What about those good comments and nice pics of tourists holding their prized catch I surfed on net? Fake? I was skeptical was thinking will I get BIG FAT ZERO instead of BIG FAT FISH! So daunting!!? Follow on, I began to worry on issues like getting sun-burn, mis-packing our tackle tools, missing out odd bits & bobs..etc. Fortunately this trip proved to be fruitful and it was really enjoyable as we caught buckets and trays of tunas and other assortment species lol!

We didn't do much on the 1st day, just browsing whats nearby our hotel and finding nice restaurant to settle our dinner. We stayed in Club Adaman Beach Resort at patong beach and as expected bustling with tourists and countless tour agencies. Also booked a small game fishing package for next day through a very friendly tour agent named Pla who we later became good friends. After dinner, we went straight back to our hotel to turn in early and fully recharge for our 'big day' tomorrow lol! I heard there are many species available in andaman sea such as Tuna, Dorado, Rainbow, Sailfish, King Mackerel, Whahoo, GT & various Marline. Oh boy I can't wait!!!

Day 2 - Fishing at Andaman Sea/ Racha Yai Island- --
Our itinerary -
- 8.30am : Pick us from hotel
- 9am : Depart from ao chalong bay
- 9.30am : Get on boat and start trolling
- 10.30am : Arrive Rachai Yai island's fishing point
- 12pm : Lunch, snorkeling and exploring coral reef. (I did not snorkel but Mike did. I continue fishing on my light tackle. Hey I caught a regular size sweet lip and coral trout!)
- 2.30pm : Left coral reef and continue trolling back to ao chalong pier
- 4.30pm : Arrive at ao chalong bay
- 5pm : Transfer back to hotel

We shared the boat with a swedish man named Mats and it was really fun having him :) Hi Mats viewing my blog now?

Although it was suppose to be a small game fishing, it was totally exhilarating and a break through for me. My untrained arms ached like hell but the satisfaction of getting fish will make you coming back for more! Also glad my tennis elbow didn't come back to haunt me again.

We went on a different boat the 3rd day that was pre-arranged by a close friend.This time the boat is bigger, luxurious and better equipped. Yes fish finder..Tee hee!
The itinerary was the same as yesterday, still going on small game trolling but hopefully will get better and bigger species. At lunch time we were back at racha yai island again, by the coral reef, the son of the boat man showed me an interesting method of catchng big rabbit fish (my mum calls it 'tee ghwee' in hokkien) on hand-line. He threw bread crumbs to attract greedy coral fish to come near and I saw really huge rabbit fish coming too! It was interesting to know they are herbivorous and you don't need expensive bait to catch them.Just small bits of cucumber and even pineapple skin works! How cost saving! It was so fun and addictive that Mike gave up snorkeling to have a go!

Caught like 20 over tuna that day yes we ought to be contented, but you can't say that anymore if I were to tell u we actually almost got a big Dorado! I got all in video and you will see what happened exactly..the fish was already close to a metre near our boat but it got away due to the rusty steel leader we were provided..so I warn u guys never trust and rely entirely on the boat equipments, bring some of your trusties along even if boat charters claim they provide 'everything'. We were all looking forward to our last trip tomorrow and hope to get our Dorado back. So there will be no more drop off to coral reef but just to focus on getting big fish. Finger crossed xxx

4th day - still getting tuna - no sigh of other fish.
The only consolation was we get bigger tuna compared to previous days. Got a little sea-sick probably due to tiredness & lack of sleep.

I like this phuket trip and very much and hope to go there again. Despite giving most fish away, I still got like 3-4 big tuna nicely tucked in the deepest part of my freezer . I've tried cooking in various method so as not to get sick of eating it. Made tom yum soup, deep fried, mayo tuna sandwich..even tuna maki I've done it. In case you didn't now, I am not a fish lover (not to dislike fishing but dislike eating fish at this instance). I also broke my personal record of having to eat fish conservatively for 5 days while at phuket. However it wasn't really that bad as I got satisfaction eating self-caught fish and they were cooked in a very sumptuous manner. :d

Angling and Outdoor Recreational Fair 2010

Sorry guys, this event at Petaling Jaya is already over and I came late to post it. It was a sudden decision we made at one of the weekend in jb. Manage to take some pics to show u guys what was going on there.

This fair was organized by Rod & Line fishing magazine and I was a bit disappointed to find this fair turned out more like an exhibition instead as most exhibits of 90% are not for sale. As expected, you find well liked brands like Shimano, Daiwa, Penn where they also display their higher end series. I can't comment much as I am still an amateur angler with very little knowledge. We got some freebies from tear out coupons from the mag we bought. U guys take a look..

Although we did only little shopping, this fair was exhilarating and indeed an eye opener for both of us. I thought mike was crazy when he suggested going to the fair on sunday in jb. I was so against the idea as it was a working day tomorrow and was already like 1pm. We have to consider many factors like traffic jam or whether we can find our way there in time..PJ is like somewhere in Selangnor right?? It seems far to me lol..Anyway I am so glad we made it with the help of our 'sometime not so trusty' gps phone :) Certainly quite an experience!

GT for lunch

Had this for lunch today. This is the 1st time my mum bought GT from the fish stall. She tried golden & bumpnose but never before a GT. I am not a fish fan but still took abit to try for the sake of past fishing memories. Fish very fresh and taste like golden but thought it wud be better in curry form. The last GT we caught was at changi beach which we had so much fun out of it. I don't think we can get another one at same spot for now becus of the recent oil spillage. Really miss fishing there..

Mike was suppose to write this as I wasn't sure what to write becus I was absent in this trip. However he was caught up with so much work lately so I'll do it instead.

I have no tinker toots on what's going on there or what to write exactly. All I noe it was supposed to be a business trip to bangkok..but with the itch attack, he sneaked out early morning before his first meeting in afternoon. He was recommended by the hotel concierge a popular fishing pond at Bungsamran Lake which is famous for their giant mekong catfish & giant Siamese carp. He took a cab which took him nearly 1 hr to the fishing pond and with NO FISHING EQUIPMENTS with him. On top of that, he was in his sleeping attire (T-shirts & shorts)...u see, the fishing plan was not intended and it was really a last minute decision.

He had a guide with him so everything was well prepared.
He landed 5 giant mekong catfish in total with the heaviest fish at 26kg! He cud barely hold up the fish for proper photo session becus he was so exhausted from the fight with knees shaking and arms aching badly..

Despite the fact fighting these monsters had left him with sored limbs & back for days, I know he truly enjoyed this totally new experience with pic evidence of him holding his 'trophies' with face bursting with great pride & joy.. wish I was there ;>

Ok I know type like this loitering in your void deck are common.
This cat actually is under the care of a old granny at a fishing tackle shop at changi village. Anyone who frequent this tackle shop should know this cat. I cudn't help but to notice this cat is always lurking around either for a good scratch or warm comfortable spot to booze. I once saw her challenge other cats in the neighborhood at night.

Is it a cat's nature to sleep in the day and create havoc at night? I took this pic last weekend..she got to be drained from last night victory or sleeping to boost up stamina for the night...maybe granny should stop feeding her those boring dry pellets as I think the cat is already sick of it. Thats why kitty go berserk at night. Hah, I really dunno..

Why am I talking about cats now?? I just love cats, that simple. I love to feel their warm soft body and enjoy cuddling them on my lap. During my younger days, I used to bring home stray cats to play and sent them back to void deck before my mum finds out. As you see..my mum can only tolerate small sized creature like fluffy hamsters or cute mice in the house..sigh..

Back to cats, they are actually devoted pets that are affectionate and loving to their owners. However, some people think that cats are haughty creatures that show little affection(dear u noe who I am referring to). This is however not very true. I have known some cats who are very attention seeking and even get very jealous when their owner got themselves new pets.

t has been some time since I had my last post and I am back again. My absence doesn't mean I have not been fishing lately, I will always try not to miss any fishing opportunity heheh..I am always thinking about fishing at any time of the day and can you imagine even when I am slumbering.

Thinking of that, I have almost given up my other hobbies like baking, craft work & cooking just to fork out more time on fishing ever since I started this new hobby with mike. My only regret is why have we not started this interest earlier! Well..it is still never too late to start. As I look back our past fishing encounters, we were amateurs (in fact still am now:>) and were even so happy catching small fishes! I recalled how happy I was getting my first catch although it was a small pathetic slimmy catfish! We were so inexperienced way before and so glad we learnt a lot through our mistakes by picking up tips from other anglers

For the past few months, we went to a Johor Bahru fishing pond and really like it there. The surrounding is very peaceful and the kampong style makes one very relaxing to fish. You can catch quite a variety of fishes like Kim, grouper, snapper, golden promfret etc and I can tell you they are of good sizes. The other highlight is, you dun need to burn a big hole in your pocket for this place. Price here is way much cheaper, luv this place :D

In case you wonder why on earth a saitoh/wolf herring appearing in a fishing pond, let me tell you why..I heard this salty guy must have slipped through the dam when the staffs were changing or letting in the sea water. That means there could be other marine species dwelling here as well! Good:) But this is the only interesting creature I caught so far..

We usually bring our catch to a nearby seafood restaurant call Todak to cook it. The prices there are very reasonable and have a wide range of seafood. Imaging a plate of sambal lala or tua tao for only RM10! Please do not expect No Sighboard or Long beach standard it will be definitely better than any good sze char stall you find around in singapore. What I especially like about eating at Todak is you are able to receive singapore signal like starhub or m1 there because the restaurant is somewhere near sembawang port. So we usually make our calls or sms while having dinner there, really nice :)

For those who are keen on the fishing pond, I am not able to obtain an exact address details from them(the staffs there don't even know omg!) because u see the place is really quite ulu..

As the todak restaurant is in fact very near to the pond I suggest you find out from people at restaurant on how to get there exactly. I am road dummy and lucky mike is good at it. I remember we managed to get there initially after asking a villager ah peh for direction:).

Colmar Tropical - Pahang 2008 Aug 23-25

Decided to post this because it brings back lots of good memories just by looking at it. Went there 3D2N with 2 close old secondary schoolmates piggy & peru.

This budget trip was booked at 5 star agency which covers to genting, KL & Pahang.

Our main interest was actually the Colmar Tropical or 'French Village' at Pahang.

Obviously a tourist spot, it was built with a replica of a city in France called Colmar, which it is said to be the most beautiful city in Europe.

Never mind if we couldn't afford to go to the actual place as Malaysia also got same one heehee...

We hit another tourist spot at a rabbit farm where all the rabbits looked terrified and traumatised I guess by tourists like us haha! The 3 of us got so excited seeing so many fluffs and were going around like picking them up like toy bunnies in toy'r'us! There was also a mini stable where they kept some donkeys for viewing only. Lucky them!

We hauled ourselves out of bed early the 3nd day to have breakfast here. Food was not exciting so didn't take any pics. However the ambiance is nice:)

Luring Workshop at Pulau Ubin 26.12.09

Me & Mike went for a luring workshop last sat 26th held by CSC Civil Service Club@Changi, led by a sport fishing expert/enthusiast guy name Aaron. The course costs $20 includes boat ride & nasi lemak lunch and luring lesson at ubin beach.

We bought plenty of lures and really clueless on putting to good use. This will be the perfect lesson for us to kick start luring. Back to Aaron, I really admire his skills and passion for this sport and I wonder how long we will take to be as skilled as him.

Now this was really something I look forward to apart from all the christmas goodies and get together with friends and love ones. But something just has to come and spoil my mood...A week before the trip, I hurt my right elbow. To cut it short I kinda hurt myself while I was sleeping in an inappropriate position one night. My whole arm hurts when I woke up the next morning and it was unbearably painful, it even caused so much pain to click on my light mouse!

Doctor said I had a 'tennis elbow' despite the fact I have never hold a tennis racket in my entire life. I was told to rest my arm for 1 month and refrain from strenuous exercise (guess the only 'strenuous' movement for me would be rod casting heehee). I know this injury is going to ruin the entire trip as how am I going to cast with a bandaged arm??? (still on bandage now)

However I decided to go ahead but will just have to step aside to watch and absorb much as I can. But the most difficult part was to CONTROL MYSELF NOT TO TOUCH ANY ROD!

We were supposed to meet at changi tackle shop at 2pm for a short briefing on lures but because of a heavy downpour, we proceed to the club house instead. We were all gathered in a multi-purpose room and there were approximately 15 participants including few families with young kids. I was amazed to see a young boy around 8-10yrs old participating also. Imaging a boy like him start luring at such tender age, 有前途！We set off around 3pm when rain had subsided.

We called it a day at 7pm before the sky turns dark. Mike didn’t catch anything except someone in the group caught a small todak. It was an eventful day for us and I somehow had a better understanding on the art of luring now heehee…managed to pick up quite a few tips from Aaron already. Aaron said CSC will try to organize fishing trip at least once a month. Oh isn't that wonderful! I just hope I can recover fast in time for the next trip.

Due to space limit & mum's constant nagging, I sadly have to part 2 boys away. They are very healthy and eating very well(er..means greedy). They are very tamed nw as I play with them alot & are used to humans contact. They will crawl to my palm to beg for food when I open the cage door during meal times.

Another fruitful trip...well at least on the 1st day

This event happened last tue but post was held up because all the while I was waiting for dear mike to pass me the photos for this trip. As you see...in fact nearly all the photos in this blog were taken from my LGK750-0.5mega pix phone. My phone died on me on and all pics in mike’s phone.

We have a new kaki this time. We picked up BB at tanah merah mrt before heading to our favorite changi beach again. Sky seems fine on the start but I know from the weather forecast, showers will be expected throughout the day. And that will definitely affect our fishing today. But since we have been planning this trip for some time, we decided to take a risk. I didn’t know what mike was thinking but I kept telling myself to think positive and just enjoy the fun even we might not get any fish this time.

Our bait this time would be dead and live prawn. Ever since I caught a nearly 700g snapper and mike’s 1st GT with these dead prawn, we had since never go fishing without it. Live prawns may seems a favorable bait to use but dead one is just as good sometimes. Through our experience, bait size does matter esp using dead ones, big fish will not bother with small bit of flesh and will rather go after live bait.

It was bad start when reached there. There was some construction going on near our spot and people swimming at the beach…worse still, it started to pour rain! Arghh..why?why?why? However things got a bit better when BB brought us hope after the rain stopped.

And then 1 chermin came along!

The fight was good and the chemin/diamond trevally shares the same characteristic like GT. They have the tendency to dash to the side in attempt to escape and I thought it was another GT as both also have quite similar body structure. This is the 1st time I had such close up view of the fish...wow so reflective, no wonder it is called 照明 in Chinese.

It was indeed a miracle as this chermin took us by surprise. There were days when we didn’t yield any fish with perfect tide and peaceful surrounding. And this fish was determined to take our live bait despite those interferences. Well I guess we did have a bit of luck that day:)

However, luck went away the next day. Nearly all our precious life prawns were stolen by unknown creatures. Mike finally caught the culprit.

Almost forgot to post this only after I scroll through the pics in my hp.

We travel across the causeway to jb frequently every wkend for various reason like shopping, food, movies, pump petrol and also..PRAWN FISHING!

We were there few times but I did not take any pic because I was too distracted and excited to fish out hp to click haha.. If we are lucky, we can hit a prawn almost every 5mins! For amateurs like us, tt is a far cry to our experience back in spore. The reason that that make us keep going back there is..

1. We are going jb anyway

4. Marvelous bait. They give strong springy red beach/rag worm which is iressistable to the prawn!

5. Nice enviroment. Sell drinks, no stench, well ventilated, friendly malaysian who not stingy to give good tips.

6. Most importantly.............boss willing to buy back your prawns for RM20/kg! We will use the $$ to buy more hours heehee. It is very convenient for us as we might not head back home immediately and we don't really like to eat 'tua tao hay' actually

Fried peacock bass

Mike was so excited that he nibbled off the tail meat before taking a pic. He brought along his pb he caught the same day as mine to cook for our sunday lunch. I have absolutely no idea how to prepare these fresh water creatures so I leave it to him. He figured out the best way is to fry and top over with savoury sauce. Although it was not so tasty like snapper, I overall still enjoy it :P

Spent last weekend at lower pierce reservoir with mike hunting for haruan or any chance of pb. Using my humble $2 light lure I bought from daiso, i was surprised a pb striked almost immediately before I started trawling my lure. I fully understand now why it is favoured by many anglers because this time I finally experienced how fast speed and strength a pb fought to get away. Also couldn't believe how lucky I was to catch one.

Ok I brought home this time because I wonder how cooked pb taste like but will definitely cnr at next round.

Fresh water fishing at reservoir is good alternative to kill instant itch as we are not restricted follow the tide, moon phrase and the much dreaded scorching sun! I am really looking forward to my next pb..

Todak Otak

I slept sniffing imaginary otak aroma last night. The 'make otak,make otak,make otak thoughts kept flashing in my head till the next morning and wasn't even spared when brushing my teeth..the thought of freshly made otak smell oozing from grilling oven is too overpowering. I know if I dun do it, I will die!

I have been wanting to make otak for a long time as it has always been one of my to do dish in my collection of recipes. Rushing my routine chores with quick hands, I finally got settled down to make otak from the todak we caught previously.

Paste already look promising..

I cannot tell you how wonderful the fragrance was..the mixture of grilled banana leaf with the filling is simply heavenly.

I have to admit my otak taste really delicious and I passed some to mike. It tasted like those square fish cake in thai restaurant except mine a bit dry because of the fish quality I used. The most suitable fish to make otak would be spanish mackeral, hokkien we call batang or any fish which is oily enough. Came to know todak tends to be drier than other regular fish we eat. No wonder they are known for bad quality eating fish. However my 'sifu' who is non other than my mum told me the trick is to blend some cooking oil to the fish paste before mixing into the otak spice, good I willl do that for my next otak attempt : D

Ingredients

300g chopped fish meat

Banana leaf

Group A

4 pcs red chilli

3cm galangal or blue ginger, cut into bits

1 tsp tumeric powder

2 stalk lemon grass, slice thinly

6 shallots

2 clove garlic, smashed

6 lime leaves or limau purut, finely sliced

Group B

1/2 tbsp rice flour

1 tbsp corn flour

1 tsp salt

11/2 tsp sugar

1/2 cup or 100ml coconut milk

2 eggs

Methods

1. Mix A in blender. Make sure the rough herbs like lemon grass and galangal are finely grinded.

2. In a separate bowl, mix group B well. Mix A in together and followed by fish meat. Let it stand for 15mins in refridgerator or somewhere cooling.

3. Clean banana leaf with damp cloth and cut it in desired shape. Oil the surface before laying the paste. Fasten with satay sticks.

4. Bake in preheated oven 160-180celcius for 20-25mins.

Quiet month..glad todak landed

Assuming the recent killer tremors in indonesia which left thousands killed could have spooked the marine species from feeding in their periodic manner, we have been refraining ourselves from fishing lately and partly because of our friends' reviews who have been fishing inshore & offshore with no good results.

However we still decided to give it a try at our favorite spot and let god decide our fate.

After hours of long wait(I hav already given up), our perseverance finally paid off when mike hooked up a todak with his floater and it was much bigger than our 1st caught. I recalled I was able to coil the previous todak tighly in our small coleman box but for this fella, no way! I kept the todak cold in a plastic bag with an ice pack on our way home later.

I have decided what to whip out from this fish.. Todak Otak!

Finally steamed it at Mike's place. Also brought along a middle piece of my snapper so he gets to taste it also. The snapper taste better as the GT was quite tough & fishy. But overall it was satisfying:D

Lady luck is really smiling on us these days heehee..I caught a 'mum would be happy size' John snapper on the following day we caught GT. Interesting part was,

*I use frozen dead prawn recycled from previous day..

*Lousy recycled dupont leader, line already badly bitten by numerous nasty puffers, too lazy to tie..

*Poor cast, my line sungkuk at rod tip while throwing so was very near to shore..

*My 1st cast of the day!!

The bite was early at 8am. My daiwa spin bended heavily to the right and I was lucky to retrieve my catch quite effortlessly because the panicky snapper had already put up a supposingly long struggle after swallowing my bait and was swimming to the right side of the shore much to my ignorance. I can reel in quite steadily because I think he had already tire himself out while I was goofing around at our resting spot!

When I 1st caught a glimpse of the fish, I thought was a big javelin grunter! I have been hopping to catch an adult size grunter and really thought I got it tis time. Only realised what it was until I recognize the 'orh kee' on the fish. Not bad leh, john snapper!:D

We caught GT again!!!!

We thought it is almost impossible to catch another one again since our 1st during june. But we did it again!

Mike picked me up 1st at 6.45am and then Gab from his hse. Went to tackle shop at changi to get live prawn before we hit the beach arnd 7plus. Good, beach not occupied.

All was quite and and there was no drastic movement on our rods. I didn't come with a hopeful heart and thought the day would just end with zero catch again. At 9.25am, sharp eyed Gab startled me suddenly when he spotted dear's spinner shaking violently. All these while I was peeping at him luring hoping to pick some tips as I recently try luring for a change. Mike was a distance away and was totally unaware of the commotion. I sprang to the rod before dear did and striked immediately to claim our prized catch..

It was a tough fight...hand hurts and was very heavy on the other end, I couldn't handle with my limited strength so Mike quickly took over. He got so excited fighting the fish and couldn't stop screaming " GAB! GOT FISH! BIG ONE! I GOT IT!! ARGHH!"

The fish dashed to the right as Mike reeled it closer to the shore. I knew instantly it was not a catfish or stingray because they dun fight in this manner. As Mike landed the fish successfully, we were thrilled it was a GT! And it was even BIGGER than the 1st one we caught!Yeeah!!

Top ring came off..I dunno how I broke it during the fight. But it was worthwhile:D

This fella was already cleaned before weighing so should weigh around 700g initially(I only pass dear the scale following day). Frankly speaking, we thought this GT is at least 1kg because it was really heavy when we held it. Our next aim..1kg or more!

I dunno what to say abt this cat. Saw her lying with legs opened in such manner outside a joss stick shop..she is completely oblivious to the surrounding and was enjoying her wonderful afternoon nap floating with creamy dreamy tuna. I hope she dun get hurt by some nasty cat haters..
