Though the Zi6 seems to be part of an overall strategy by Kodak to prove that its no longer a stodgy, old film-based company but an energetic, multi-media, digital imaging company, the message to Flip Video was clear. Instead of Sony, Panasonic, JVC etc., venerable point-and-shoot camera manufacturer Kodak announced this summer that it would introduce the Zi6 pocket video camera in early Fall. The first major company to weigh in with a potential Flip Video challenger was somewhat unexpected though. With so much attention going to such a small product, it was only a matter of time before the big boys would want a piece of the burgeoning pocket video camera market. Soon after, Flip Video camcorders were everywhere, it seemed.

The Mini Cam blog is yet another fan blog dedicated mini camcorders. Primarily I will focus on the little wonder "Flip Mino" but keep the doors open for future camcorders.

Why a blog dedicated to a mini camcorder? Well.. Why not?

Mini camcorders, and specially Flip Mino is easy to bring with one in the hand bag, in the car or in the pocket. They doesn't cost so much so it isn't the end of the world if it get broken. That's why this camera is so awesome to bring with one when sailing, kite surfing, skiing or what ever one want to film and where there's a risk that the camera might get damaged. I normally put the Flip Mino in a ZipLock bag and then I'm ready to go almost anywhere.

The Flip Mino is so cheap so one can give it to once children as a little bit more advance toy or for them to document their daily life.

In other words.. It's just awesome and I still haven't met a single person who have been disappointed with his/her Flip Mino Camcorder.
