The Assassin A9 140cc YX Big Bore Big Wheel Mini Dirt bike can be found on eBay AU. I choose this Bike because it pretty much sets the benchmark in pit bike quality on the current market. In addition I know the manufacturer quite well and have purchase many containers of this model (under my brand) in the past so I know the quality is Top Notch.

First I want to talk about the overall look of the bike aesthetically it is very pleasing. A cool decal kit and black over white colour scheme just sets it apart and makes the whole bike stand out. Obviously from a marketing point Looks are everything

Not just that it rides as good as it looks. The Lifan 140cc all down gear box enough to propel any wannabe motocross rider to 80km per hour in no time flat. On the local street it's sic and assured to piss your neighbours off but let me assure you my friends this little puppy won't out run a police car so stick the dirt. The oil cooler is more looks than real fuctuality and does sweet FA in circulating the oil and cooling the engine.

The frame single bar chromoly steel (Chinese Style) , replica mukini carbi, (I not allowed to say fake lol) but the carbi works exactly like the authentic item just floods more often when dirt gets in the throat.Other cool features include the GT look alike swing arm which is hollow and not CNC Aluminium, Iron Foot pegs that don't snap when you do a jump, Kenda lookalike tyres which will wear after one weeks hard riding and cost $5-$8 USD to buy from John Lees tyre factory in China.OH and last but not least recycled steel rims which probably came from VW's and HQ model Holden's. Gotta love the Chinese it adds the authentic Aussie flavour to the bike don't you think.

OK, If you think I'm bagging this bike don't, it's only my dry sense of humour. I have purchased hundreds and thousands of dollars worth from this particular manufacture so I know it's a superior model for the market. I can not recommend this model enough.

For the price its GREAT.. Bike specs below.
Is it a Buyers Market

Back in the day (I'm talking year 2000) Mini Dirt Bikes were the hottest thing besides slice bread when it was a sellers market. Importers of Mini Dirt bikes in your local area were cleaning up big time. Profits were 300-400% to be modest.

But as the craze grew and people just couldn't supply them fast enough and bigger investors got their share of the cream. When it was only 2-3 sellers on eBay just 6 months later there were 10-15 sellers on eBay for Mini Dirt Bikes. Now that the supply has exceeded demand and the Mini Dirt Bikes have run they're course it's only the extremely committed or extremely stupid importers are making it there sole income. Lot of importers and sellers just can't make the profit they took for granted and have simply left the industry to look for greener pastures.

So it's really a buyers market now. Lot of sellers on eBay are starting they're auctions at a set price or BIN. This eliminates the chances of losing on the auction if very few people bid in the item. There are 2-3 reputable sellers on eBay left selling Mini Dirt Bikes in eBay Australia. These are the truly hardened sellers who have been selling on eBay for 3+ years.

To sum up " Are Chinese Mini Dirt bikes Dead?" from looking at my local sellers offline in the newspaper and also carefully researching eBay Australia I would definitely say Yes, Chinese Mini Dirt bikes Dead.

The seller is asonlinepowerseller. I am reviewing this particular bike because it's the most popular model ever sold. When I say most popular model in the context of type of bike it is and parts on the bike. TDR 125cc Dirt Bike AX just happens to be the brand name they called this bike.

Upon reviewing, riding, testing this bike is purely for the beginner. The parts are produced to fit the purpose so to speak. It has a standard single tube frame which will bend on impact if you are over 100kg and atempt a 20ft jump. Ok why would any one trust this $599 Chinese special which looks likes the frame has been built from recycled car boddies and the rims from aluminium cans never the less it is what it is.

Everything on this bike is produced cheap but fro a reason. The forks standard issue conventional forks which are actually really reliable just if you put on lot of weight on them they become too soft. The Rims steelies. Nothing fancy they do the job. Hydraulic disks brakes front and rear. I remember when disk brakes on a dirt bike were the shit. Bike like cars hey, everything is pwr this and pwr that standard issue.

Probably the best part of the bike is the engine. The trusty ole Ducar "aka Honda Copy". The again what haven't the Chinese copied from Honda. The Ducar engines only fawl is it has a small piston. It can over heat and melt in the barrel but that if you flogg the living f*ck out of it. How do I know this because I done it. LOL. I prefer the Lifan engines they gave me less grief. Much of a muchness. 4 down gear box the go less jamming and stripping of 2nd gear in the 1 down, 3 up boxes. Pretty much the 1 down 3 up gear boxes are old school and fazed out because of the 2nd gear problem.

Wow the sticker kit just blows me away. Such creativity. In all the bike is a starter. It will last 12-18months if treat it well. Do the regular oil changes once a month and you'll get ya whole $599 worth out of this little puppy.

I'm not just endorsing this bike because I like it but I've bought and tested many bikes and this still stacks up to be the best 140cc bike on the market period.

The Atomik Reign Bigfoot is basically like a Atomik Nitrous but with bigger wheels, 14inch at rear and 17inch on the front. The look and feel of the trellis KLX style frame when riding feels well balanced and conforable. It's great ofr tall teens and adults too. It can hold up too 100kg just with a upgraded rear shock you can make it stiffer at the rear.

The overall quality is what I really like. The workmanship gone into the frame and other components speak for themselves.I mean just by looking at the bike you can tell it will cop and flogging and then some. It will last the test of time compare to other eBay models out there.

I want to talk about the engine. The YX 140cc engine needs no introduction. This engine has proved itself again and again and it's lived up to the challenge. Personally I have flogged a YX engine to the ground untill it literally died. I gave this thing hell and back. I'm taking burning out brand new Carlsbad tyres from new on the concrete for fun to non stop 12hrs hard of riding up hills and in water. (water definately a no no). I also like the Lifan engine. Much the same but sligthly different internals.

One thing I don't about the Atomik Reign Bigfoot is the front suspension setup. others have the same opinion. when jumping the bike on large jumps the fron 17inch tyre will hit the bash plate because the forks compress and because of the load and stresses the forks are not heavy duty enough. This occurs if the rider is too heavry (over 80kg) or the bike is jump over 10ft in the as a rough estimate give or take). The front forks need to be upgraded. You can replace the oil with thicker oil. If you don't want to upgrade the forks which will cost you anywhere from $800-$250 depending on the quality, go to a Dirt bike suspension specialist and theu will replace the spacers in the forks with better ones. This does exactly the same thing.

I would definately replace rear with a chunkier Carslbad tyre. It will tend to slide in the gravel quite easy if your going hard. The Carlsbad grips like a b*tch excuse my french. Other small mods off the bat are Uni filter upgrade cost you about $30, better grips for comfort, upgrade your chain for a japanese chain. Infact I would do this first over another other small mod. Last thing you want is going riding for a day and having to wheel you bike back for kilometers because your chain snapped in the bush.

The fuel tank looks smaller than the CRF style tank which is higher and wider but the KLX style tank for the Atomik Reign Bigfoot is set into the frame an there is alot of depth and volume for fuel it just looks deceptive.

The faring and new deal design is very motocrossis. It's what the kids want. The white and blue combination is very asfeticlly pleasing to the eye. besides chicks dig the looks. It's all about the looks. People buy this bike because it looks sic I rekon.

If you want a relieable Mini Dirt bike which will last years and give you miniimal greif I highly recommend the Atomik Reign Bigfoot. You can find them on eBay Australia under Trail Bikes>Other.
You know the ones that look cheap and nasty with the whipper snipper motor and expanded cheap chrome exhaust pipe. These little suckers are like Crane Toads (A introduced pest in Qld in the early century used to elimiate cane toad beattles but over populated out of control) they are in every backyard, in every tool shed it's like every man and his dog had one.

Why did people buy these things. Very simple, they are cheap as chips. I mean the chinese pumped these things out like hot cakes. When they first came out in the market they sold like HOT CAKES. We had never seen something like that before. How can they make it so cheap with a 2 stroke enegine , frame, off road ttres. It looked , felt and sounded like a real dirt bike but 1/8 of the price of a jappa. Even today people still buy them. They are still on eBay selling. I don't think people really care of the quality. The frames are knocked up in 2 mins. A few spot welds here and there and the cheap recycled mild steel frame is good to go. Slap on some grey under coat and that's your rust protection..lol

Good Points (I'm struggling here)

Cheap as chips

Excellent for starter rider

Low maintenance, suprisingly quite reliable engine if looked after

Tank of fuel last 4-6hrs. (100km seriously)

Parts cheap, clutches, tyres all can be found on eBay for dollars

Good hobby to start very low cost (build a race track get a few mates together)

Throw away ite. Easier to replace than repair for non techies

Bad Points (hmmm)

Cheap construction

Cheap material used

No regualated by government so poor workmanship used

Throw away item

Built by unskilled cheap labour force

Cluches wear fast under heavy loads or up hills.

2 stroke motor must be well maintained or frequent problems will occur

3-6 months life span if no maintaince

Don't knock them before you try it. Check them out on eBay if your son or daughter wants a cheap 50cc 2 stroke starter bike for about $200 bucks (a days work for Dad) your child can enjoy the wonders dirt bike riding. Check out eBay

Now I don't do so much I prefer
to build my Internet and website business because the returns are much higher and
overheads lower compared to a traditional business.

Never the less what I can say is back in the glory days when Mini Bikes were hotter than
Elle MAcPherson wearing a G-string there was more demand than supply.

As several months pasted many sellers got on the band wagon. Some 5-6 years later those
sellers (my competitors at the time) are still selling Mini Bikes. For them to stick around
so long they are either picking up the scraps or extremely stupid.

Either way these sellers have lived through thee glory days and now not making as much
profit but have established themselves as trustworthy Powersellers on eBay.

These reputable Sellers (I recommend any of the below) are as follows.

1. http://myworld.ebay.com.au/pockrock88/ Positive Feedback: 99.0%
Feedback score: 23150

2. http://myworld.ebay.com.au/asonlinepowerseller/ Positive Feedback: 99.7%
Feedback score: 22862

3. http://myworld.ebay.com.au/no1-importer/ Positive Feedback: 99.7%
Feedback score: 18867

4. http://myworld.ebay.com.au/onlinebikesnbits/ Positive Feedback: 99.5%
Feedback score: 3043

5. http://myworld.ebay.com.au/cob_and_co/ Positive Feedback: 99.5%
Feedback score: 4909

All these sellers of mini bikes have been importing for 3-4+ years and are trustworthy
sellers. The Pit Pro Dirt bikes,
AKA. MOTOVERT's lower end range just under a different brand but owned buy
the same company, have been on ebay for several years now. I don't know
the exact time frame but and guessing 3+ years.

What I like about the Pit Pro Range is they come from a reputable Chinese
supplier that has been manufacturing Pit Bikes for as long as the late 90's.
The whole range from 50cc to 160cc are from one Supplier so the quality
is consistant.

The new XR range caught in eye in particular although I have been watching
them for quite some time the minor problems which we nortorious with Pit bikes
like Frames breaking , Rims despokeing, Fork Seal bursting are a thing of the
past.

The XR range is like buying a Hamburger with the Lot. It already equipped
with indestrutcable Trellis frame, Kenda Tyres, sports Pro Curcuit replica
exhaust, Massive 160cc monster output engine, Alloy swing arm and decent
plastics & graphics. It's a impressive looking bike on the showroom and
attracts attention. The only thing it needs is decent Japanese chain and
probably a set of Pro Tapers and your good to race.

I liked the bike so much bought several of them. They ride nice but what
amazed me the most was how much power the 160cc engine can produce. It sets you
back as you try to hold on the handle bars going forward from 2nd, 3rd, and
4th gears very quickly. The 160cc engine runs a lightned fly wheel. It spins
up very quickly because it doesn't have a large magneto to spin. There's hardly
any weight so the throttle response is instant bit like a 2 stroke engine but
without the annoying lawn mover high pitch sound. The throttle can be tricky
if your a novice as you need to keep the revs up or you can easily stall the
engine if you in the thick stuff.

The XR range for internmediate buyer prepared to spend $1600+. I say to all
those who are interested in Pit bike riding it doesn't come better than this
bike, for the features this bike has the price is a bargain in my opinion. It
won't break on you in the first week...lol

Happy and Safe Riding..

In my local town kids don't seem to care where they ride Pit bikes on the main street.

Anywhere and everywhere they ride there bikes evading the police to enjoy the thrill of bike riding but at what cost to them and what cost to society. In my local town they do sell registered pit bikes but to ride one you have to have a bike license so your pretty much a motorcyclist on the road. Kids who ride pit bikes are under aged, don't have any sense of road rules and don't have a motorcycle license. To them riding a bike is a way to having fun. Why they rid on the streets is there's no where else to ride. 85% of the time people get upset because of the noise the bikes make.I bet everyone has heard in some point in time a screaming motorbike tearing down the street. Then you look outside its a young kid on a off road dirt bike with out helmet and safety gear.

Not all the blame can be put on the kids. Kids are kids if don't have a place to ride they will ride anywhere they think they can get away with it. Society and local councils have to share some blame in the growing problem. It's a matter of time until we see young kids getting killed on the roads like we saw with stand up petrol scooters . Bikes are dangerous and riding unregistered with no insurance is suicide.

How do we fix the problem is by providing community awareness, education, rider safety courses and build tracks for the kids to ride so they stay off the road. Local members of parliament need to step up and address these issues with there local communities. With that said local councils need to spend money on infrastructure. The community also need to do there part with parents discipline they're kids instead of the police doing it.

Without the joint efforts of Government and society the problem won't go way.

This little bad boy is amazing.

It basically super charges your spark so your bike will fire allot easier and with

more bite. In fact you can test it buy taking the spark plug out of the engine and

holding it about 5cm away and kick the bike. The current will jump and still ignite the

coil. You will see a blue lightning bolt. Its cool and this type of spark plug is your

secret weapon. Cost is about $10 but its worth every cent.

The Second mod you will need is a Uni Filter. Throw the standard pod filter away and buy a

Uni filter. This a the best brand in the market and is washable. Make sure you oil it

up with Filter oil so dirt does not get into your engine. The uni filter must have the

same diameter mouth so it will fit onto your original carburetter.

Thirdly and probably the mod that gives you the most back for your buck but cost you nothing

just some elbow grease is grinding or porting your exhaust flange. This step is highly

under estimated. The factory exhaust system is probably cheap but it doesn't matter. You don't

need a after market exhaust. Undo the bottom bolts of the exhaust. Where the flange ends

is where they weld it to the exhaust itself. Inside this section you want to and port

(car term) or smooth out with a die grinder. After your finish run your finger inside the

exhaust inlet and it should feel smooth. Its a finicky process and time consuming but

trust me its worth the effort. Make sure now shaving go back into your engine buy cleaning

the exhaust before re bolting on. You make need use a new copper flange (kind of like O-ring

but copper) if your bike is old you will need to replace it.

Your done. You now have better spark. You now have a aftermarket pod filter so your engine

will breathe allot freer and also sound better and you have a hi-flowing exhaust system.

Try it today and you will see overall response in rev range much quicker, smoother take off

and less crackles in top end.

Because when you are out riding over time whey will vibrate loose and you could lose parts of your bike in the bush or even worse in the act of riding which can cause failure or serious harm to the rider

Then:

Make sure the red kill switch is turned off. This is usually located on the front of the handle bars. Pour fuel into the fuel tank only enough to enter the carburetor for now. Put the bike into neutral and kick the engine with your right foot.

Run the engine in with 1-2 tanks of fuel on 50% throttle only. Most China Pit bike bought on eBay with have the same generic tanks which hold about 2.9 liters of fuel. It will take approx 4hrs per tank so it will take you all day. You'll be tempted to skip this step but don't. This is very critical step because it sets the rings and piston in the barrel and basically gets the engine ready for hard riding. Without this proper running in stage your rings can not seat and you can easily melt your piston onto the crank. I've seen this happen many times. You'll be up for a new engine straight away.

Gone are the high prices of models like the Yamaha pee wee 50, Honda 50, Kawasaki 70 in with the Chinese equivalent. It really is a buyers market now that raw materials are cheaper to import and the Chinese government offer favored tax breaks to start up factories exporting goods overseas.

Consumers just want a fair deal and with Chinese manufactures now importing engineers from USA, Japanese and Europe the technology is now obtainable. With trade negations sealed raw Metals like iron ore imported from countries like Australia enable the quality to lift substantially have allow small un recognized Chinese factories enter the market and compete in the international market. Such Brands like Apollo & Xmotos lead the charge with in China exporting 50-100,000 units per year decimation the low ended market but on the other hand giving money conscious consumers value for money.

These leading Chinese manufactures are well backed financially and have the blessing of the Chinese government in incentives to encourage export and job creation as china becomes even bigger. With such infrastructure and backing they can afford experienced contract engineers from Japan and USA. The technology and machinery is replicated or imported from overseas into China so quality is stable. The major car manufactures of the world have been in China for over 30 years and now motorcycles are moving the small direction over the last 5-6 years.

The foot hole for Chinese Pit bikes in global market will always remain just the quality will get better and the price will increase over time. China still has not caught the Japanese in the 250cc-450cc displacement engines but already Motard Dirt bikes are rivaling Japanese motard bikes in the lower end again due to imported engineers and machinery. Keep a close eye on this market its wide open and Japanese manufactures are becoming very cautious.

Pit bikes come from 70% of the worlds products are from. You guessed it 'Made in China' . Anyone tell you any different they are B.S to you. I mean how else can they make them so cheap in the world and have the resources and man power. The Chinese philosophy is sell in Volume even if you only make $1 profit its $1 you more didn't have before.

With the 1.3billion people in China, labour is cheap and readily available. Each city in China has a speciality and predominately will produce similar types of product because the material or parts are easy to get. A bit like a hive and bees. The Hive is the town with its natural resources and the Bees feed off it and work with each other to produce same products. The Factories team up buy in bulk of other factories then split to materials to full fill there own orders. For example if they had a order for 300 bikes they would outsource and buy the tyre from a tyre factory at $1 each. But if they knew that their mate Tony's down the road who also has a dirt bike factory needs 500 tyres also they would combine and buy 800 tyres at .95 cents each. Now 5c saving doesn't sound like much but some of the mini bike factories export thousands of containers it all adds up. Lets say they do this for 50% of the parts and the other 50% are made in house. You taking 10's of thousands saved which make the Bosses of the factories richer.

The laws in China are less stringent than laws in the western world. They don't have unions to back them with wage disputes of health and safety issues. In fact its a joke there is no such animal called that. The head of capital is greater than the jobs available so workers are scared to dispute pays with factory bosses afraid of losing their jobs. This contributes to the low salaries thus western countries can buy the product at a cheap price.

Another cheap way factories can save a few dollars and I've seen it happen many times is when they produce a order they will substitute cheaper parts in a line. The end product will look the same with same finish. But the quality of the steel is lower grade making it weaker. For example years ago I bought a container of Mini Bikes and the frames all were exactly the same as the last order. Nothing wrong all perfect except when you jumped the bike the frame would bend. The factory had substitute Chrome Molly steel for mild steel frames without advising me. 85% of the frames bent. What a disaster. That was a major flaw in the bike however factories to save a buck will swap small parts for cheaper parts if you do not pay close attention to detail. This rubs off on the consumer and you ultimately pay the price.

Another sneaky way factories save money (some do pass the cost saving onto they're clients) is to outsource the whole order. Allot of small factories do this but don't tell there clients. They put dollar figures and profit in front of reputation and quality. They get Tony's factory down the road to make it then they stamp it with they're factory logo and box it with they're factory packaging. This is a common practice in China if you do not visit your supplier on a routine basis.

<div id="seolinx-tooltip" style="border: 1px solid rgb(0, 0, 0); Back in the old days when your choices where limited to the Big 4 manufacturers like Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki only the well off could afford hefty price tags of a few thousand to ride the beginner model pee wee 50 or 90. Back then some 10 years ago it was just too expensive for the beginner to get into motocross. The introduction of the Chinese Mini Bikes (Monkey Bike, copy of the Honda) it opened up a can of worms for the Big Japanese manufactures who had it sweet all this time with little or no competition in the bottom end range 50cc-100cc. The Chinese bikes flooded the market some six years ago in Australia and couple years earlier in the States. This basically cut out the low end market for the Japanese bikes and allowed newbie motocross riders to get into the sport at a entry level.

No real distribution channels were correctly setup because the Chinese would sell and anyone. Mom and Pop backyard operations sprung up like the plague all across America, Europe, Canada and Australia.

The Chinese pumped these out like hot cakes and thousands of containers of Mini bikes entered the shores. The Bikes were mostly made of reinforced mild steel for the frames, and recycled alloy hubs which were weak at he spokes. The finish was not great to begin and attention to detail took a back seat to pure volume.

Being that said the bikes were so cheap to get and the average kid could start on a 50cc or 110cc pit bike with all the protection and armor for under $1000. The bikes wouldn't last and basically became a throw away item. It was cheaper to replace the whole bike then it was to pay a mechanic to fix it. If the engine blew up you would rebuild it just throw away the old one and slam in a new one.

Kids and teenagers took to these bikes abused and destroyed them. They were not a machine to be serviced and maintained as they should but because they were so cheap they treated them like toys. In fact most Dealerships that carried Yamaha, Honda or Kawasaki didn't think they would stick but when everyone started buying them it sporned a epidemic literally overnight. A whole new market was born.

Here's where it went all wrong. See 99% of Pit bikes are made in China. Yes, that's the truth. They are made in china where 70% of the worlds goods are made. There was no real distributor channels setup because the Chinese in there infinate wisdom will do anything to make a buck so they sell to anyone who will "show them the Money". So basically you could source Pit bikes from China or steal your competitors supplier and start bringing them in yourself and sell them at a lower price. Cut your competitors throats and many flyby backyard operations killed the market big time. Now any Joe Blow can get the sames bikes work out of home and sell them dirt cheap. Back in the hay days I know several importers in Australia (who will remain nameless) that brought them in and sluted the market to make a quick buck.

They sold them on eBay by the hundreds of thousands. The number of eBay sellers who sold Mini Bikes quadrupled on both US and AU eBay. So all of a sudden everyone is flogging off these little puppies and making $25-$50 profit just so they could screw they're rivals. The some ebay sellers in Australia would sell 300-1000 bikes per month. Now if you check ebay under Dirt bikes>other , you'll see alot are listing them at Buy it Now or Starting at there lowest profit margin for example $599.

In the end everyone lost except the consumers. It was and still is a consumers paradise. They go so cheap that the supply out weighed the demand because every man and his dog had in sitting in the shed.

The demand is still and will always be there because a certain target market predominately blue color working class society needs entry level bikes to learn how to ride.

Gone are the days where importers would make 200-300% profit on a item, now its more like 30%- 50% after expenses. There are some small variables that influence the price over time like exchange rate , availability and seasons but most definitely it is Supply vs Demand.

Their competitors are Terra moto (Formly Thumpstar), Motovert and Puzey to name a few.Seriously I think the name sounds a little gay but that's only my opinion.

The Braaap Mini Bike Company is based in Tasmania, Australia. They basically have 2 models of pit bike The 'braaapster maestro' and The braaapster Pro.

The braaapster Pro uses the older design A-frame swing arm but obviously with new frame, front and rear suspension etc. I think the old A-frame design is still the strongest although most riders buy the single swing arm setup because it looks way more cooler.

I want to talk more about the 'braaapster maestro' designed in Australia. First off the bike looks sic it needs to because of the price but readon. The frame is Aluminium and stands out like dogs ball on a mouse.:) They done a good job on the frame. Its CNC billet and tig welded. CNC meaning the frame is not poured into a cast its cut by a machine from a solid block of Aluminium then heat treated thats why it cost so much more. You pay for quality its that simple peoples.

Pic of frame click here
Pic of Swing arm click here
Pic of engine click here

The Maestros has plenty of other goodies on it to justify the price tag such as CNC Dress up kit, CNC kick starter, CNC triple trees, CNC Billet hubs, CNC foot brake etc. The Front forks are quality and fully adjustable. I like that so when I hit jumps hard you know my fat arse won't break the bike. It comes with a optional 140cc or 150cc engine upgrade. You don't have to buy the 125cc regulation run of the mill cornflake packet variety that every Tom, Dick and Harry already has. The 140 or 150 braaap© engine I suspect is a YX engine. Seriously are they going to invest thousands of dollars in a The braaap© engine especially made for them or easier to get a ready proven engine and put a braaap side cover on it. I tend to believe the later.

It could have come with some Kenda tyres and Pro Taper bars as standard but you can't have everything boys and girls.

The braaap is a proven bike it has sucessfully won titles in Victoria and Nationals under Motard and Super Motocross class respectively.

The easy payment payment plan from $24 bucks a week or out right $3599 for a 125cc, $3899 for the 140cc and $3999 for the race kitted 150cc. I think that's a funny sales pitch as see on Tv they should throw in some free steak knives too lol. The customer either buys or gets insulted, I like it.

If you think I'm a bit hard on the bike I'm only giving you the hard facts how it is no sugar coating my friends. But in saying everything above if your just starting out pit bike riding don't buy a braaap.

If you getting into Mini bike racing and want something with a bit more quality that won't break in a hurry then definitely buy a braaap. If you a big kid like me that should be riding bigger jap bikes like a 450cc but won't let go of your youth then go buy a braaap.

So are braaap mini bikes High Class Mini Bikes or just over price Chinese crap in my opinion they are worth every dollar. Maybe the guys at braaap could make it a little more affordable dropping the price say $250-$400 they would sell alot more. But out of the high end bikes the braaapster maestro is my choice. Thumps up guys keep up the good work. :)

braaap.com.au
terra-moto.com
motovert.com.au
puzey.com.au

to gain instant power is by hooking up a Nos kit to it. You will gain 4-5 bikes lengths (depending on your carbi setup) instantly. I mean most people who see the Nos kit in store or advertised on ebay don't believe it works. Let me tell you it does and it’s friggin awesome.

Ok basically here’s how the system works.
You have the trigger mechanism that contains the 16gram Nitrous Oxide bottle (4 sec burst). This typically is fasten to the handle bar. Depending where your left or right handed is where you want to fit it. It comes with a Velcro strap which holds it firmly to your bars. Now the line taps into one end of the trigger mechanism and goes into your air filter. Note the trigger mechanism holds the nitrous bottles under pressure so once you put the bottle in and screw on the top it pieces the bottle. You can not take it out after this. You could die and tap a thread into your manifold (bendy piece between carbi and engine) but not necessary. Make sure the line is secure and fittings are firm so no leaks. The kit pictured above is excellent and works well. For maximum effect have the line as close as possible to the carbi inlet when hook it up. You don't want the distance too great because the foam filter can absorb the Nos before it enters the carbi or try tapping it into the manifold if that make sense.

NEVER hit Nos in low gear always 3rd or 4th or you'll blow the piston right out of you engine

NEVER hit Nos going around corners. I know a guy that did and his face and the road became friends

NEVER hit Nos going over jumps unless you want your knee to look like a Double Whooper Burger

NEVER use Nos continuously you need a rebuild in no time. You engine will only take so much

Always hit Nos when your mate try’s to race you.
Always hit Nos when your trying to get away from the cops (only kidding)
Always hit Nos when chicks are watching

Have fun don't be a idiot on the road or track

Try ebay.com.au if you want to buy them

Post comments on your experiences

The quality is stable and product is made from the bigger and more established suppliers.

Don't always be focused on price. Pay $700-$800 for a pitpro, atomik or BSE with specs like
upside down forks, Lifan engine, billet style 32 spoke rims, trelace or 2 bar(SDG) frame.

You can't go wrong. Well basically it needs to look strong sounds pretty obvious but look at the frame and finer details of the welds and you will know straight up whether its worth the price. Cheap manufactures try to hide the're shoty workmanship with a coat of paint but pay attention closely at the welds. A silver frame shows the weld up more so than a black frame. Here is a pit bike with Monster CRF plastics (early 2008 model) . This bike runs a trelace frame but 14/12 rims. It is a very popular model if you like the small wheel type pit bike. It rins a ball bearing swing arm, USD forks, jump rated at 20ft. Single piston capiler front and rear with non asbestos Copper pads. It has a monster kit which it visually appealing and a easy selling bike.
