I actually got ticket for such event, I am really excited.

but I do feel bad about not attending the closing ceremony (終業式), but who cares!

On Sunday kikumarie invited me to aerish's gyoza party, it was really great!
We started off making delicious sweets, prepare the candys for gingerbread house:

pretty awesome, right?
my first time decorating a gingerbread house, it was challenge but fun!

here are the gyozas, we made total of 150 gyoza that night.
Ooh baby.

Friday right after school, Naちゃん took me to Aeon Mall to see the Sisay Live.

Both Naちゃん and Saちゃん are big fans of Sisay, seriously they are hardcore fans.
The music was very relaxing and smooth, I liked it a lot.

Then Saturday I went to Tokyo after the kids class.
First I stopped by the Pokemon Center, picked up some goods and the Eevee items.
Glad it wasn't crowded, cuz the Eevee items just came out that day, and I was told that it was like War in the morning.

Well, after finished shopping, I met up with kimi_no_tsuki at the station, and went to the Tokyo Dome and buy the Arashi concert goods.

The charm was sold out, so I had nothing to buy at the venue.
The dome itself was very pretty at night, so we took pictures around it, and of course, the bus!

We could hear the concert going on, and we tried to guess what songs they were singing. A lot of fans gathered in the corner and danced/sang like they were actually in the concert, I thought it was cute

After the dome we went to Shibuya, had dinner, took purikura and dessert.
I get hungry very fast when I'm sick. hehe.

Anyways, while at the Shibuya Station, Arashi ads were EVERYWHERE.
not only AU, but Nino in the Mario Ad were also there.

its less embarrassing when 2 of us are taking pictures instead of one XD

Sunday morning I went to the Big Sight, which was the main reason I was in Tokyo.

I met up with Jo at first, while I was waiting in line for the limited shop, she was getting the SWD Nana for me, how sweet of her!
Then at 12 I met up with Jenni and Paulette, had lunch together and walk around for a bit.

Naちゃん`s family took me to see christmas illumination on Tuesday night.
It was very pretty and nice, I liked it.

This week has been good, until today.
I hate being sick.
Its nothing serious, just a common cold with running nose and sore throat.
but still...I don`t like it.

some students stole my stickers.
damn those little thieves.

毎日寒くなりましたね。
残すところ2009年もあと1ヶ月。本当に早いもんです・・・

Happy belated turkey day!
Friday was the Mid Year Conference, at night we had thanksgiving dinner with bunch of Gunma ALTs.

During the weekend pinkdog and her awesome friendly neighbor Yuki took me to a huge Book Off in Isesaki, then we went to Smark and did some Christmas shopping.

We had our first Taiyaki, it was a good one :)

So why does the subject says "All I want for Christmas is ..."?
well today we started the Christmas theme lessons at JHS, 桜井先生 suggested we play Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is You", and followed by some work sheets after the song.

One question goes like this:
What do you want for Christmas? and why?

Most of girls wrote material things, such as a laptop, shoes...etc.
Boys wrote Money.
Some wrote "Chingyi" (awww, really? come on now.)

this one boy wrote "girls, because I like girls and I want to touch them".

haha sometimes I forget they are teenage boys.

Friday was the 合唱コンクール, yes student chorus contest!

Everyone did a good job, I was impressed
Even the class with no discipline, it was pretty cool to hear them sing together.

and I was one of judges, woo!

My Hokkaido trip was really fun, concert was great, food was awesome, people were SUPER cool, and weather was cold.

I left Gunma on Thursday afternoon, arrived in 旭川市 around 8pm.
envieswrathpicked me up at the station and we headed to the delicious Shabu-shabu restaurant in the City.

And the ice cream~

The temperature were about -12 or something, I can’t remember too well, but yes, it was freaking cold.
After dinner we drove back to envieswrath’s place, which is a little town call剣淵町 (kenbuchi).
Next morning I went out for a small walk in town while envieswrathwas working. I visited the shrine nearby and took some photos of the scenery

In the afternoon I visited envieswrath’s schools.
She gave me a tour of the school, I met the teachers and watched the kids do their club activity.
Then we stopped by the picture book museum.
The museum is a libaray too.
Mr.Takeuchi (one of the managers?) gave us a tour, and he even showed us the backrooms!

They have the original artwork for most of the picture books, how awesome is that?

After the VIP tour, haha, we head back home and went out for dinner.

SO GOOD.
Theresa took me to a nice fancy looking café up on the hill, this is where they have the BEST ice cream.
SO GOOD x 10,000,000.

After that we went to karaoke.
This is the reason why we missed Music Station on Friday night, but we partied hard.

Yes, I was singing My Girl.

We were in karaoke box from 7pm until 11:30pm. 4 1/2 hour with all you can drink for 1420yen. Haha I love it.

OMG Arashi concert is tomorrow! Exciting!

ARASHI! ARASHI! For DREAM

We left Asahigawa on Saturday morning, arrived in Sapporo about 11am. After we dropped off the luggage, we had the famous Hokkaido Miso Ramen for lunch.

It definitely taste different, it’s kind of creamy compare to the other kinds of ramen.
YUMMY!

We got to the Sapporo dome and lined up for the goods. I was disappointed with the long sleeve Tshirt, I was hoping there will be a different design…
The charm color is yellow, which is almost similar to the Kokuritsu one.
The concert started 15 minutes late, because Aiba was late. (Thanks aishitsuzukerufor giving me this info)

The show started and I turned on my scream mode LOL.
As usual I cant remember every detail of the con, but it was awesome.
Aiba loved our section. He was so freaking cute
Nino was cute and dorky as always.
SK moment! Ohno grabbed Nino’s butt.
Sho was GANSTAR!
Jun was hot.
Ohno… agreed to marry me again.

2 Encores, and they sang My Girl in the very end.

I am going back to watch My Girl the drama, because Aiba caught my heart during the concert. I will give him a second chance. Haha.

I can't feel my toes
It's so cold I want to cry

Yesterday we had a day off (holiday yay!), I wanted to attend the Pokemon Center event in Tokyo, but figured that I should probably go buy some winter outfits and shoes.
The clothes I brought from home aren't warm enough..

So...I went shopping

2 boots, 2 turtlenecks, 1 fleece sweater, 1 long sleeve button down, 1 down jacket, 2 pants, 1 jeans, 1 boyfriend cardigan sweater, earmuffs, gloves and hair gel.

Total was about $250

I hope I will be ok with these for the next couple months...

Private Hot Spring …almost

Last week I visited the hot spring (温泉) in my town, it was amazing
I felt so relaxed, stress-free and warm.

There was no one!
(well, yah maybe 4 or 5 old ladies)
But when I went in, the bath was empty.

It was very clean too!

There was a tatami room where you can eat, drink and relax.
Free Tea!

There were 3 baths areas, and one of them is out-door.
I loved the out door onsen, at first I was worry what if someone sees me, then I realized the bath was at the 6th floor, so it was all good XD

And of course, the coffee flavored milk!
I don’t drink coffee, so I got the regular one XD

I fell asleep in the tatami room after I got out of the bath ….twice!

I had a good night sleep , man I can’t wait to go again!

So before the onsen, I went to the Mikazuki mura (三日月村)
which was right next to it.
I’ve been wanting to visit this place for a while now.
It’s a ‘theme park’ that recreates the rural community and city streets of the late Edo Period.

At the entrance you can exchange money into the coin, its like what they used back in the days.

There were restaurants and tea houses you can sit down and relax.

And of course there are houses you can walk in…

Also you can take a walk in the forest…

Fun Weekend ☆

青山にMonkey Majikのライブを観てきました。

すごく楽しかった〜♪

Thanks Lindsay for coming with me, another fun weekend in Tokyo!

Here are some of the items they have up for charity auction, the drum set, guitars and hats they used in their Monster PV.

The venue was small, I think they said there were only 225 seats

I knew all the songs they played, plus the new song "Happiness" which is coming out this wednesday <3
They also had quiz games between the MCs, they were so cute and funny, haha.
They even spoke English here and there throughout the live, I think we were the only ones in the audience knew what they were talking about, haha.

Later that day we went shopping in Harajuku~

In the late evening Lindsay and I went to the Tokyo Decadance in Shinjuku, it was like a Halloween party, everyone dressed up and it was like a mix of J-rock, visual and gothic sort of style, really cool and fun, I will post pictures later.

Sunday I went to the pokemon center, bought the stuff I've always wanted, downloaded the Yellow forest course (yay now I have pikachu!)
The rest of the day I was in Akihabara, looking at toy shops and dolls, they have BFs! omg <3

On the way back home, I saw at least 7 students at the train station, and 5 more at the final stop.
They were all surprised that I went to Tokyo, hmmp.
After I got home, I went out and bought some grocery since I have nothing in the fridge, saw a few more students at the store.

Its been raining all day, ughh >_<
Here I am sitting in my kotatsu...so warm I don't want to move...

On Saturday (10/3) I went to Na ちゃん’s restaurant to have lunch, Naちゃん is a very sweet and nice あねさん, she is one of the locals I met during my first week here.
She introduced me Mrs.Akimoto, the piano teacher, (she had studied abroad so her English is very good), 3 of us chatted for the rest of the afternoon before Mrs.Akimoto begins her class that evening.
That night Na ちゃん took me to a small Jazz concert in the city hall, along with her best friend Saちゃん and Lisa. It was my first time listening Jazz live, and I enjoyed it very much <3

By the way the drummer was really cute <3 <3

After the Jazz concert was over, we were invited to Mrs.Akimoto’s house to have late night tea party. She made so many sweets and drinks for us, it was awesome.

On Sunday I went to Aeon mall in Saitama, I was looking for the store that has Play Set Products, I found it, and bought some stuff.

Went to a café and rest for a bit.
Had more sweets*

I borrowed this Cooking Book for Beginners from school library, and I saw the pizza recipe, and thought to myself, hmmmm pizza sounds good.

So I made it.

Didn’t taste great, but it was ok.
I made the crust too thick, and I think it was a little burned.

So today (Thursday), we have typhoon, I was hoping we get a day off.
But we didn’t.
Usual day it is, however half of the students didn’t come.
Its extremely windy right now, but sunny…I thought its going to rain the whole day.

I have renamed some of the students.
George, Katy, Mike, Stephanie and Alex.
They are all boys…hehehe

Sports Day was ... pretty bad
Well, to me it was, I am sure everyone else had a good time (except for the losing teams)

Long story short, I was not genki the whole day, I think it has to do with the weather...
and I felt tired.

You know the feeling when you are not in the mood to do anything, everything seems shitty?
Well that was me today

I did walk around and cheer for the students.
however...girls were too loud screaming, and boys...I just don't understand them.

The highlight of the day for me:

Each club was doing the running course, and they were dressed up as their usual club activity wear...which I thought was kind of funny.

Is that a tatami? haha yes it is.
oh Judo boys, I love them so much.

Silver Week! 好きやねん、関西。

I am back~
Silver week was loads of fun, we didn't get to see Osaka that much, we mainly did beach, camping, Ise Shrine and food.

We left Gunma around 6am on Saturday, headed down to Nagoya and traffic wasn't too bad.
Found decapitated bird stuck in our car's grill...
what a way to start the trip, eh?

Traffic jam on the other side, I guess most people were heading to Tokyo XD

Around 12pm we arrived Toba in Mie-ken,

For lunch we had delicious sea food, the shrimp was still moving O_O;;

The rest of the day was driving along the coastline, stopped for views and interesting things.

We found camping sites by the beach, it was so windy and cold I had to sleep in the car >_<
Ken is from Canada, and John is from Minnesota, both of them are used to the cold, so they were fine with the tents.
Ugh California people are too spoiled!
I am not sure how I will survive in Winter.

We planned on visiting the Ise Shrine on Sunday, so after breakfast at the beach, we drove to Ise.

So there are 2 parts of Ise Shrine, Naikū (内宮) and Gekū (外宮)and both were crowded.
We went to the Gekū first

I did enjoy the walk tho, it was nice and green :)

I guess these are energy rocks?

Hello People~

Yep, we waited and prayed.
There were 125 shrines within Ise Shrine, of course we didn't go to each one of them, but we visited a good amount of shrines.

After buying some omiyake, we went to the other part of the shrine, Naikū.

After Ise, we drove around and explored the area.
We went to Onsen, (my first!) it was pretty good, felt so refreshed :D
Found another camping site by the Ise Bay, we chilled by the water and looking at the stars.

Monday morning John dropped me off at the Matsukasa station.
After 2 hours of train ride, I met up with aalfonso and his friend Ayako & Rob at Osaka's Umeda Station.
We went to aalfonso's girlfriend Ibuki's restaurant in Ayabe, Kyoto.

Name of the restaurant is 兎遊 (To-You)
and this is their blog

The restaurant itself is a piece of art, it's so beautiful!

And the food is so delicious!, on top of that, everything is organic!

and the cheesecake!

after the meal, we walked to their garden, which is behind the restaurant.
They grow herbs and vegetables here.
So pretty O_O

The rest of the day we pretty much just hanging out in Ayabe, and we returned to Osaka in evening.
I met up with my road trip buddies at kawachi-nagano station, stayed at the youth hostel for the night.

We decided to head to West part of Japan, along the Sea of Japan side, and from Nigata we will drive down back to Gunma.
So we drove pass Osaka and Kyoto, got some traffic jam in the way.

but once we got out of kyoto, the road was pretty open.
The weather became cloudy and rained for a bit...
We drove to Fukui and Toyama ken and got to see the Sea of Japan

We arrived Tomiyoka, Gunma at 9pm, had Turkish food for dinner~
it was good, and owner of the restaurant was crazy and friendly, lol.

I got home about 11pm, wasn't too sleepy for some reason XD
Anyway that was my trip ~

ughh I missed the Arashi TV show tapings entry period >_<
just found out about that now....

oh well, I don't think I can ask for those day off anyway v_v;;

pinkdog gave me an apron, and it was plain

The 10th anniversary logo is pretty cute, so I spent couple minutes to cut it out.

Finally, I have GOLD in my hands!
and the special Oh-ho figure!!

So I went to Tokyo on Sunday (13th), picked up the game from Pokemon Center, shopped & played the game for an hour at the store. Met up with kimi_no_tsuki at Harajuku, bought some photos from johnnys shop

Had All-You-Can-Eat Pizza with random guys, went to Volks and Soom store in Harajuku, walked around in Omotesando, then went to the ebisu garden place (hana dan!)

Like every fan girls, we were being silly and trying to take photos of each possible angle

I really like this place, I can be here all day and won't get tired of it XD

After that we went for karaoke, sang all Arashi songs for 2 hours

It was a good day.

oh, I saw a student of mine at the station while heading back home.
She came up to me, but I don't remember her name, so it was kind of weird, lol.

English Speech Contest (9/7~9/11)

Today was the English Speech Contest~
We met at the District office around 1:30pm, there were about 24 students from different schools within the city.

students from my school, they worked so hard and I am so proud of them!

about the speech contest...
each school enters 1 or 2 students into the contest, part of our job is to help them pronounce & intonation, pretty standard stuff.

My girls didn't win, but they have won first place in my heart

So on to the daily life, this week 2nd and 3rd year went on their school trip, so I spent a lot of time with my first grade students.
I really like them, boys are going crazy about me, haha.

Yay Pokemon Fan Club Card GET!

So the schools have started!
I had the first class with 5th and 6th graders. They were So Cute.
I was also featured on school's blog :D
(Awesome~~~~!)

Junior high school was pretty fun as well, but I have not met my 3rd graders, they were getting ready for their school trip, ughh I want to go too >_<

It doesn't look like a lot of food, but it fills my stomach pretty quickly after a few bites.

During school lunch time, they played Arashi's songs! for me!

And my teacher, Mrs.Kimura gave me an old Arashi's CD!
It was her daughter's, now a L'Arc-en-Ciel fan.

SCORE~!!

Friday night after school, Annie, Matt and Misha throw us new Ota ALT a welcome party.
We went out for BBQ, good times, good times~ !

Saturday aishitsuzukeru and agtoro took me and Janelle to this MOST AMAZING & DELICIOUS Indian Restaurant! From the looks it might not be the best, but oh man the curry was soo freaking good, I was speechless.

Later that night we went to Smark the mall, supposed to be one of the biggest one in the town.
My teachers warned me about bumping into the stuents at Smark, apparently this is where the kids hang out.
They also got this cold stone like ice cream place called Marvelous Cream.
It was marvelous~ and cute ;)

Sunday I spent most of the day cleaning the apartment.

Going into my 24th year

My 24th Birthday week in Japan was definitely the most memorable days so far.

Where to start? XD
Friday (21st) after work, me, Talyor, Annie and the others had dinner at the Brazilian restaurant in Ota.
Next day I went to Tokyo with Lindsay, spent our weekend in the city:

but I got the poster! woo!

next day we headed to Akihabara and Asakusa.

I prayed about Arashi's concert, I really wish to see their anniversary tour.

Later on that day, I visited the pokemon center. It was like a paradise.
I even got a HUGE birthday card!

Our last stop was Daiba, to see the gundam of course.

Just like that, simply great.

Monday the 24th was a busy day. I had a ALT seminar at 3pm, and later that night I have to cover Andrew's English class. All worked out well, I think.

Wednesday the 26th (woo my birthday), there was another seminar we had to attend.
Taylor made me a birthday card:

After lunch I returned to the elementary school, saw the message from Meghan, saying I HAVE the ticket to see Arashi on the 30th!
I am going to see Arashi!!!

I was extremely excited about it! Praying does work!! XD
(I was about to buy a $500 ticket from ticket.co.jp if I don't hear from her)

Rest of the day went nice, I talked to family on Skype, they sang happy birthday to me XD
went out and had dinner with Taylor and Lindsay:

Thursday afternoon we picked up our foreigner card at the city hall, but I really need to start making an uchiwa for Sunday's concert.
So I rode my bicycle to Joyful Honda, since that is the only craft store around the area.
took me 30 minutes just to get there, my legs were sore

GT is the fish Oh-chan wants to catch, he mentioned it on Shukudai Kun in the beginning of the year.
I wanted to do something about fishing, since that's what he likes.
If he sees it, that would be great XD

I woke up at 4am on Saturday morning, took the early train to Kokuritsu to line up for the goods.
aishitsuzukeru got there a lot earlier than I did, but by the time I got to the venue (8:30am), temperature was rising, it was already sunny and hot. And our line had no shade, it was worse.

During lunch and afternoon I hang out with aishitsuzukeru and her friends, and agtoro in Shibuya. I met up with Meghan at Ueno, head to the venue at that evening.

Thousands of people still buying goods, and half of them were just there, waiting for the fireworks (maybe?).

We could not wait for the sunday show! we were so excited XD

Our seat was by the side of the main stage, but its also near the moving stage.

The concert was AMAZING, it rained the whole night, I have never been so wet and had so much fun at the same time!
This is my first Arashi concert! it fees like a dream XD
Arashi is so awesome, in every level.
They put on such great show, even in rain!

everyone sliding on the wet stage during encore, nion didn't do it, but sho failed XD
it was cute.

There were so many moments that I nearly fainted, major hear attacks just kept coming at us.
This is such an unforgettable concert, everyone will remember this day!
I was so touched, and I am really happy that I am an Arashi Fan.

Sunday (the 16th) was cleaning day, I did laundry and went grocery shopping.
In afternoon I made some pancakes!

It was a relaxing day

Monday the 17th we went to the Ota English camp, which held in my town every year.

The students were…interesting.
They just look at you when you ask them something…no expression what so ever.

The day went by slow….

Later that night, Andrew took me to the Harris English School, where he does the part time teaching twice a week. It’s about 2 minutes away from where I live. I met the lady who runs the school, Noriko. She reminded me of the teacher I had back in college XD

On Tuesday night I was invited to have dinner at Mrs.Muroda`s home, she is one of my teacher at the Elementary school. I told her that I usually buy rice balls from convenience store, and I can`t really cook for myself. So she said she will make a nice meal for me. Oh, and she lives 10 feet away from the hot spring! How awesome is that.

I call Mr.Muroda oto-san now, he is so sweet!
Oh why do I love old people so much?

Mrs.Muroda`s nephew Kesuke also joined us at the dinner, he brought us desserts <3

I forgot what he does, but it has something to do with nursing care, a good fella.
Oh, apparently he knows Tomoya Nagase from Tokio, not as friends, but he said Nagase is a good man, he have talked to Nagase for a few times.

JE is everywhere….I love it.

Did I mention my vice principle knows Sakurai Sho`s grandmother? Haha.
