Each door and window is handmade from solid knotty pine, hand-painted and stained, then coated with a clear semi-gloss lacquer to protect it from the elements. The hinges are hand-cut from copper sheeting which I then distress and paint to match the antiqued brass handles. The door and frame are separate pieces, but please note that the DOOR DOES NOT OPEN! This doesn’t bother the Wee one bit since they use magic to come and go.

The windows are made from a solid piece of knotty pine and are painted and stained to match the door. The window/shutter details are burned into the wood using pyrographic techniques and a brass hanger is installed on the back of each.

The door and windows are signed and dated on the back by yours truly.

A vintage poster commissioned by the British Government in August 1939 to be posted in times of “crisis or invasion”.
There where three posters of similar design created for public confidence and this one was never posted.

I have recreated and hand screen printed these lovely posters on Rives Heavyweight printmaking paper. It is just off-white and oh so tough-but-tender in character. Natural and torn deckle edges, each print is signed and dated on the verso. Image size is 9"x12", easily framed with pre-cut mattes. Open edition in multiple colors, check out my other listings and look for more to be added!

I use sturdy, no-bend chipboard document mailers and will ship anywhere. Free shipping on multiple orders to the same address!

This necklace is a reproduction of a hand held ‘dexterity game’ from the 1920’s.

The object is to get all three rings on the cat’s tail. (I did it once!)On the back of the necklace is a scoring legend.

I have a collection of these games and just love the graphics. There were many versions of the ringtail cat, my necklace is modeled after one made by the R. Journet & Co.

I want my children to grow up valuing their family and friends and appreciating the true meaning of gifts, especially those that are made with love and affection by others. Gifts that are hand made by loved ones cannot easily be replaced and help strengthen, relationships and help build fond memories that will last a lifetime. So I got creative, and started making some toy, pretend play food from felt and other materials, and my children absolutely loved them…

They have always enjoyed playing “dress up” and “grown ups” and these pieces of felt food were a hit. I continued to make them and started to make little lunch box sets and picnic sets for my friends, and their children. The feedback that I received was wonderful and it was such a pleasure to see the joy that these pieces brought to the faces of the children.

The window pictured is trimmed in green with dark walnut stain. The outer edge of the shutters are painted with a brown wash and then the shutters are stained with puritan pine. The entire piece is then given a generous coat of semi-gloss lacquer to protect it from the elements.

A brass hanger is installed on the back and each window is signed and dated by yours truly.

Please note that the window DOES NOT OPEN unless you are under 12" tall and magical.

It looks slightly more blue in real life than it may appear on some monitors. Burnout tees are super soft and fit perfectly.
