From The Files of Transformers 3: Dark of The Moon. Who the hell are Dino and Que?

Have you watch Transformers 3: Dark of The Moon? If you havent, you're safe since i'm not giving away any much information about the movie. After watching the movie, 1 thing that really bugs me was the name of 2 Autobots which is Dino (pronounce it as Dee-no) which its alternative mode is a red Ferari and the other was Que (Q) with Mercedes Benz as its alternative mode. There is no Autobot nor Decepticon character uses those names. The closes probably was Dinobot from the Beast Wars universe still no other bots call him "Dino"

So, did a little bit of digging here and there and this is what i found. From the prequel of this movie, Transformers Rising Storm #2

So the RED bot is called Mirage while the Silver bot is Wheeljack.

Wheeljack and Mirage badly damage

So, in issue #4, it shows that both Mirage and Wheeljack ware badly damage and Ratchet was unsure if those 2 would be back to normal. If you look at both bots, you would realize they look the same as Dino and Que, in other word Dino IS Mirage and Que IS Wheeljack

I probably feel like most Transformers fan would think that Bay should have stick using Mirage and Wheeljack instead of Dino and Que.

P/S: i've noticed Sentinal Prime sounded familiar and during the credits, i've realized it's the same person who did Galvatron's voice in Transformers: The Movie

Surviving Sabah

Just watched new episodes of Man Vs Wild. This time, Bear Grylls shows how to survive the jungle of Borneo (its in Sabah but not really sure specifically where) and also the Malay Archipelago (some islands in between Sabah and Philippine). He did this sometime around January this year.

In the jungle of Sabah, he repel himself from the helicopter to a tree than climb down from it which is about 100m tall, explore a cave, eat a snake and also got bitten by the same snake and make a shelter like the orang utan making a nest

At the Malay Archipelago, he shows how to survive in the jungle islands. He survived there by catching a stingray, set a trap on a wild pig and also diving 20m into the ocean and catch a lobster (but he says its crayfish so im not that sure)

I did enjoy watching the two new episodes except the eating the snake part. Besides the knowledge on how to survive in the jungle and island, it also shows some of the beautiful part of Sabah

Nightrunner or his real name Bilal Asselah is a 22 years old, French, Sunni Muslim with high skills in parkour. The introduction of Nightrunner as one of Batman allies has make some people dont approve a Muslim Batman.

Just watched 5 episodes of this computer animated series. The verdict...i'll probably going to watch this in February

What's it about?

The common battle between Autobots and Decepticons. After some years the Decepticons attack Earth, now they are back. After 3 years missing, Megatron is back and plans to beat the Autobots using Dark Energon

Anything Intresing?

Voice actors. Peter Cullen is there for Optimus Prime and Frank Welker for Megatron, the original voice actors in the G1 series. Others probably worth mentioning are Jeffrey Combs, Steven Blum, Kevin Michael Richardson and Dwayne Johnson (although he only did 1 episode i think since his character died)

Characters?

Optimus Prime, Arcee, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Ratchet, Cliffjumper(died), Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and also human characters such as Jack, Raf and Miko

Somehow i kinda like Ratchet which is voiced by Jeffrey Combs (probably because I like what he did to The Question in Justice League Unlimited). Bumblebee speaks electronic which Raf seems to understand. Arcee is like 2nd in command in here for the Autobots and Bulkhead is the gentle giant.

Most of the characters seems to be influence from G1, the real action movie and also Transformers the Animated series.

From Cartoons to Live Action Movie.

Being born in the 80's was something. There was like limited cartoons yet we kids that time love it.
With the likes of Transformers, G.I Joe, Inspector Gadget, Batman, Superman and many more that i couldnt remember that has turn from cartoon into real live action movie. We expect more to come especially those cartoons that we love so much as a kid

Here are some of the cartoon's that should have a live action movie by now...

It has a catchy intro. The series is about cat like human battling the bad guys in Third Earth after the planet Thundera is about to die. The leader Lion-O, has the Sword of Omens which can show the Eye of Thundera when use and also the power of/signal to the Thundercats. And I think Mumm-Ra was 1 of the scary cartoon character back then, I mean, the song and the creepy look...

When I was a kid, I think I have the Sword of Omens.

Thunder...Thunder...Thunder....Thundercats...HOOOOOOO

It's an acronym for Mobile Armoured Strike Kommand (yep...they spell command with a 'K'). In a way, the cartoon is something what you get when you mix G.I Joe and Transformers. Vehicles with 2 modes. For example, the leader of the M.A.S.K, Matt Trakker's Thunderhawk is a car than can change into a fighter jet. The early series was a regular rivalry between M.A.S.K and V.E.N.O.M. As the series comes to an end, it became less interesting but still have those cool and wacky assault vehicle. 1 of the episode feature in Sabah, with Mt Kinabalu (they pronounce it as key-na baloo) as its main location where it is an evil place, with a temple made of jade and guarded by 'dragons'.

Intrestingly, Hasbro released a Matt Trakker figure in the G.I Joe series and his codename was 'Specialist Trakker'. Could this possibly mean he will be in the next G.I Joe movie or its own movie. In the G.I Joe movie, there was this car that looks like a V.E.N.O.M. vehicle used by the Cobra's. By the way, Hasbro also should have released Thunderhawk along with Matt

Personal favourite was Condor, motorcycle turn to helicopter.

M-m-m-m Mask!

Another classic good guys vs bad guys. Ace McCloud, Jack Rockwell and Max Ray are the main characters in this cartoon series fights against Doc Terror and Hacker. The heroes are able to fuse themselves with assault weapons system to their special designed suit. The weapon system is beam down from their space station, Sky Vault. By the end of the series, another two heroes were added but i couldn't remember them.

The best part of this series probably when they shout 'Power Extreme' and shows how the combination happen.

Saber Rider, Fireball and Colt are the Star Sheriffs with April as the engineer for Ramrod. Ramrod is the Star Sheriffs battle ship that can transform into a giant cowboy robot. Guess who does the Ramrod voice.

Ever since i started watching Star Wars, I've always thought it would be cool having a light saber, Darth Vader was cool, stormtrooper and clone trooper was cool and finally Princess Leia Organa was...HOT!! (yup...still love that cinnamon bun haristyle and that golden bikini )

Recently, i just bought a Clone Trooper helmet, and i thought it would be cool to have the armor as well. If I have the suit, i could join the 501st Legion. Buying the suit would cost me almost RM5000. I've also downloaded all the movies and currently downloading the Clone Wars series. I haven't decided when do this marathon.

Btw, there's this new toy which is called Star Wars The Force Trainer. All you need is just to concentrate, and the ball will levitate. See the vid

About a week ago, my phone go crazy. White screens, battery problem, caller ID didn't come out properly...in a word, ROSAK!! I asked my father if its OK if i get a new phone. He replied "Kan bapa bilang beli la phone baru tapi bayar balik nanti" (I did told you to get a new phone but you have to pay back)...haha

Upon my return from the Aidilfitri holiday, went straight to Midvalley with my roommate to catch Resident Evil: Afterlife. Before the movie starts, we did some survey on the phones. I had Blackberry Storm or some HTC phone in mind, but the price was quite out of reach

After watching the movie, we did another round of survey and this time i found a good phone with the apps are what i had in mind. Samsung Galaxy 5 is a phone, GPS, WIFI, music, Radio and it's Android. It is by far the cheapest Android phone in the market

I just got my copy of the wildly popular New York Times bestseller:
The Bro Code by Barney Stinson with Matt Kuhn.

Ever since I started watching How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM), I never thought that this book would exist but it does!! It's quite an amazing book as it can be use as references such as with girls interaction and also bro's conflict that you and your fellow bro's have that can be solve. Yes, the book is hilarious yet applicable in life.

The Bro Code is a set of rules meant to be a guideline to live by between Bro's. It has about 150 Articles, and includes Amendments, Punishments and Glossary. Some of the articles here includes some figures, equations, and explanation about the The Bro Code.

Here's a video about the Bro Code, although the video in the end shows another book, but basically it's almost the same. Bro On The Go is like a pocket version of The Bro Code

Avatar: The Legend Of Korra

Have you watch The Last Airbender? If you haven't, GOOD!!. It's not worth it. Better to watch the animated series. But I'm not going to write about the movie. Just click here if you want to know what I think about the movie.

Nickelodeon have decided to work on a spin off series "The Legend of Korra". The series would be more matured yet still have those sense of fun and adventure.

Here's what I found so far about the series

Korra is a female water bender. Yes, new Avatar is a girl
Korra has learned to bend water, earth and fire and now seek to learn air bending from from Tenzin
Tenzin is Aang's son. His mother is Katara
Aang could probably come back to guide Korra, just as Roku did help Aang

I hope something like this happens

It's going to be some mini-series with probably lots of fillers
There's no war like Avatar: The Last Airbender but there's a conflict
The cabbage merchant and foamy guy wont be around (i think)

The series will be aired somewhere around 2011

After catching M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, I could think only think of this phrase..."It sucks"

This movie was really bad in my own opinion. The development of the story and character were really bad. The only character that i could say was better was Katara. Every character in the movie was very serious especially Sokka and Aang (in the movie it's pronounced 'Ang' while in the animated series is 'Eng')

Hopefully the next sequel wont be the same director. I'm not sure if i'm gonna be watching the sequel although Azula will be in the next movie (I think she looks hot!!)

Hence, I recommend you to watch the animated series than the movie itself...

More than 70 years after Superman first saved the day in the pages of a comic book, the Man of Steel has reached out and saved a family in the real world.

Asylum reports that a family was packing up their belongings after their bank had started foreclosure proceedings, when they came across a box of comic books in the basement.

But this wasn't just any box, and the family suspected they'd struck gold when they discovered among the titles "Action Comics No. 1," the comic that introduced Superman to the world and brought to life the superhero genre, which remains popular to this day.

It also happens to be worth upward of $250,000. Asylum writes:

The house had been in the family's possession since the 1950s, which is probably when the wife's father stashed the issue in a box with some other, mere mortal titles.

When the family contacted Stephen Fishler, the co-owner of ComicConnect and Metropolis, he was naturally skeptical after receiving countless similar calls, of which "99.9%" turn out to be reprints, he told Asylum. But then they texted him a cell phone picture of its cover, which features Superman holding a car, and Fishler knew he'd found the key to comic book fans' collections all over the world.

The comic is expected to fetch more than a quarter-million dollars when it goes up for auction on ComicConnect -- and that's a low estimate. In February of this year, an unrestored copy of "Action Comic No. 1" sold for $1 million, according to the Los Angeles Times, followed a month later by the sale of another copy in better condition at $1.5 million.

But don't go hunting down the family for what's left over after they get back up to speed on their mortgage. They told Fishler they'd like to remain anonymous, although they did tell Asylum that they were "shell-shocked about finding this book.":

"I know I am very fortunate, but I will be greatly relieved when this book finds a new home."

Thankfully, it looks like they'll get to keep theirs.

When the word 'Sherlock' is mentioned, the brain directly goes to either the detective or movie, Sherlock Holmes. But this time it's a new TV series and it is a fresh update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories. To make it simple, a modernized version of Sherlock Holmes

The character of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson is acted by Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman respectively. Both of this actor played their character very well. Sherlock Holmes is a consultant detective for the police and seems like he love to use technology especially text messaging. While Dr John Watson was an army doctor, walking using a stick (and I thought it was House).

Is she dead?

How good is this series? Personally, it's really good. Really love how the story goes and both Sherlock Holmes with his Science of Deduction and Dr John Watson, the doctor who is quiet a sharp shooter.

The first episode "A Study in Pink" had a high rating and BBC was eager to make this series longer since at this moment it has 3 episode

Get Ready For Smallville Season 10

Batman: Under The Red Hood

Batman faces a new Red Hood, a vigilante and a criminal at the same time. Red Hood method of keeping Gotham City peace is different from what the Batman stood for: killing is an option.

The movie started Jason Todd @ Robin II (although he seems to wear the costume of Tim Drake @ Robin III), being hit by Joker using a crowbar and killed in explosion. An image similar to 'A Death in the Family'. Batman regarded it as his biggest failure.

Years later, Red Hood starting to clean the city in his own way. Criminal seems to be scared of this new 'vigilante' since he can kill. Batman and Nightwing confronted him and even Nightwing was impressed with the new Red Hood but Batman found something shocking upon knowing the truth about the new Red Hood.

"Na na-na-na-na, you guys can't catch me"

If this was a live action movie, it would definitely be a great movie. The story was really good, plot to plot and how emotions were played during the flashbacks. Its a good movie to watch while waiting for second sequel of Batman. Its a worthy collection for Batman fans.

World Cup Fever

It's World Cup year and its in South Africa,

So I watched 5 games so far, 2 wins and 3 draws....
South Africa and Mexico game quiet entertaining especially at the 2nd half...1-1
France played very poorly against Uruguay...0-0
South Korea was impressive with their win against Greece...2-0
Argentina manage to get a win from Nigeria (Argentina are a good team but i dont think their gonna do well with that display n i thought Tevez was more a threat than Messi in the game, played 4 centre back in that game)..1-0
England and USA draw (USA have quiet a lot of good chances, Gerrard scores the fastest goal so far)...1-1

As always, i'm gonna support Italy for the World Cup....Spain and Holland have a good chance too and i dont rule out the African teams to do well in this world cup
