So we are looking for Souvenirs for your wedding, "Bombonera" in Italian.

Sometimes guests do not even bother to bring them home and are left on the tables. (PS That's really rude. The couple spend much time to choose the souvenirs and spend $10 or more, the least we can do is take them home and deal with them later.)

Wedding Souvenirs are a long tradition in many cultures, regarded as a thanksgiving offering. The first records of such gifts to several European countries was in the ages 16 to 18.

But it was not what was in the box was expensive. Cubes of sugar and confectionery are usually presented in a "Bombonera", a small glass box, precious stones, or porcelain. It was a sign of wealth and privilege to give wedding guests a gift or Souvenir for their assistance.

Once sugar became common, the masses took the custom of offering wedding souvenirs for the guests follow the original tradition.

Later, the nuts were used instead of sweets, which are said to symbolize the gifts of fertility, longevity, wealth, health and happiness the bride and groom want in their new life together.

Around 13th century, confetti or sugar and almonds introduced the combination of the two traditions of almonds and sugar in a unique gift.

How much would you Pay $ $ $ for my Wedding Dress?

Today it's been three months since my wedding and I thank God for allowing me this great opportunity to have met a wonderful man of God!

Anyway, the day pass and everything go run its course...

As many who know me know I have three sons, and since I married, a beautiful daughter, but none are interested in my wedding dress, they say they do not want white, "...that they have other plans," Hmmmm...where traditions are these days? :-'

...Well!

My wedding dress was one of the most important things in my day, and I would like someone who can truly appreciate, as I did, buy it!

I would like to know how much would you pay for my wedding dress?
And to get an idea of what is fair to be paid, I'll tell you that the dress was purchased at David's Bridal, New, Size 8, White Color with small Pearls, and the cost on offer was a total of ... ? ...

I decided to tell you after some deals! :-)

What I can tell you is that the regular price was NOT more than ~~$700.00~~ dollars, I paid a good price on Davi's Bridal they treated me very well. The wedding dress I only use it on my wedding day and still I have in my possession the receipt for the purchase of the wedding dress as evidence of my honesty, thank God.

Every company out there has it’s competitors. In Direct Sales you have several competitors to consider:

1. Other Companies that Offer Similar Products
2. Retail Stores that Offer Similar Products
3. Other Sales Representatives in Your Own Company

The question is how do you build a customer base that wants to work with you?
How do you distinguish yourself as someone your customers should be loyal to?

Here are ten ideas to get you started:

1. Know your product – what makes your better/unique? Point those things out to your potential clients.

2. Take the time to learn and know your presentation. People are busy – they want to come and learn or at least feel like they are listening to someone that knows the subject at hand.

3. It’s ok to use a flipchart, but remember that a flipchart (or cards) are simply to jog your memory – you shouldn’t stand up there and read to them for 20 minutes.

4. Keep your “show” brief – you will lose your audience if you feel you have to tell them EVERYTHING about each product your company carries.

5. Showcase your special offers and hostess specials, share your guarantee.

6. Keep the steps your hostess must take easy and carefree – simply refreshments, email the guest list – relax and enjoy the evening with friends.

7. Make it FUN – remember your guests gave up and evening to come and see what you have to offer – make your event a true EVENT!

8. Offer a newsletter to keep your products and YOUR name in front of them at minimum once a month.

9. Do fun things like Top Hostess for the Quarter, Largest Order for the Quarter, or Highest Show of the Quarter and reward them with something. Everyone likes to win something. Announce the winners in your newsletter – it will encourage customers to sign on to your newsletter.

10. Be consistent and professional – people do talk and if you do a good pre/during/post show – people will want to introduce your product to their friends.

3 Direct Mail Ideas That Almost Any Business Can Use To Increase Sales and Profits

Sending direct mail to current and past customers is an easy way to improve existing customer relationships, and drive revenue and profit growth.

This article discusses three strategies that are consistently profitable across varied industries: (1) Refer-a-friend campaigns (2) Getting former customers to buy again and (3) Converting past enquiries into sales.

Direct mail is one of the most powerful, yet underutilized, ways that you can use to nurture customer relationships and drive increased revenue and profits. In this article we’ll cover three types of direct mail that we’ve used in our own business and in those of our clients with profitable results.

To implement these ideas, all you’ll need is an “in-house list”. Your in-house list contains the names and contact details of current and former customers. If you don’t already have a system for collecting this information, start now – your in-house list is a valuable business asset.

Idea 1: “Refer-a-friend” campaign – Word-of-mouth advertising is extremely effective (and cheap!), yet few businesses actively pursue referral business.

Send a letter to your current and former customers. Thank them for being your customer, and explain that you’d like to offer value to their friends and family, who might also benefit from your product or service. Actively ask your customers to refer their associates to your business. A well-worded letter like this jogs your customer’s memory, and an added incentive to act will normally increase response even further.

You can decide on a suitable incentive based on several factors: What kind of offer you think will appeal to your customers, your cost structure, and the lifetime value of every new client will be important considerations.

Common incentives are “Buy one, Get one free” offers, discounts or special packages, discounts on the first part of a multi-period contract, waiving joining fees or setup costs, or gifts (e.g. subscribe now and get a free diving watch).

As with any direct mail campaign, you can increase response in a number of ways: Firstly, you should test different approaches and compare response rates. You’ll find that not all direct mails are created equal, so it pays to test different headlines, letter content and incentives at the start. Once you know what works best, you can reuse the same approach in future mailings.

You can also increase response by segmenting your list into different customer classes, and mailing only to selected segments.

By reminding your customers to “spread the word” every year or so, you can grow your customer base substantially. Your website, regular emails and other communications should also provide opportunities for your customers to introduce their friends and family.

Idea 2: Come back, I beg you! This idea is an incredibly simple way of increasing customer satisfaction, and the value of your customer base. Yet hardly any businesses do it.

Simply send a letter to former customers – people who haven’t purchased from you for a while – and ask them to come back. The definition of a “former customer” will differ from business to business. Use your intuition, then test a few different timing approaches (e.g. 3 months, 6 months and 1 year without purchase).

Express concern that you haven’t heard from them lately, and that you’ve missed their business. Then offer them an incentive to come back and deal with you again. You’ll also have to address the possibility that they had a problem with your product or service. By apologizing and fixing the problem, many customers will come back to you – but even if they don’t at least you know and can do something about preventing the same problem in future.

If you have your customers’ telephone details, you can follow up with a courtesy call to help rectify any problems if they exist. This follow-up call is a service to your customer, and shouldn’t be a pushy sales call. Most customers will appreciate your effort.

Asking former customers to come back is a great way of stimulating additional business, but it’s also a great way to gain insight into how to improve your business and stop problems from recurring in future.

Idea 3: Can we help you after all? Often customers make an enquiry, but don’t make a purchase. What happens to those “unconverted leads” in your business? That person was interested enough to contact you at one stage, and they might still be in the market to buy now (or at some time in the future)…that sounds like an opportunity.

Get in touch with past enquirers and find out what happened…was their need for your product or service solved? Was there any misconception or miscommunication about your product or their needs that stopped them from purchasing? Perhaps you could put that right.

In many cases, the enquirer won’t have a need for your product or service immediately (they may have bought from the competition, they may have changed their mind etc.). However, they may very well be in the market again in future…

Is your business using these three approaches to increase customers, sales and profits? Try them, because they really work.

Jump Start Your Business, Before You Even Have Your Starter Kit!

You’ve chosen the perfect home party business for you! You are passionate about what you’re going to be selling and you can’t wait to get started! Now all you need is your starter kit! You’ve got all of this new energy for your business and nothing to do? Think again.

There’s a lot you can do to maximize your company’s new representative rewards programs and give your business a jump start while you are waiting on your kit. Follow these simple steps and when your starter kit makes it to your house you’ll be ready to go!

1. Find out who your support team is. As a new representative you’ll have a lot of questions about your company’s products, policies and procedures. You’ll need a lot of help during your first month especially. It’s a fact, so don’t feel bad about it. Know who your up-line (your sponsor, her sponsor, etc.) is and how you can get in touch with your sponsor and her sponsor as well. If your sponsor’s sponsor has a sponsor, get her contact information too. Direct sales etiquette calls for you to try to contact your sponsor with any questions first, but if she is unreachable, it’s important to have a back up plan!

2. Scan your calendar and come up with some general times you plan on working your business (hostess coaching, customer support, sponsoring, etc). Meeting with your spouse and/or family to determine these times can alleviate stress in the long run. It may be in the morning after the kids have gone to school and you have an hour to yourself, or it may be at 7pm after you’re home from work and have had dinner. It may also be a combination of smaller timeslots that you have to fit in throughout the day. Whatever it has to be, make it consistent so that it becomes a part of your routine.

3. Create a calendar for easy booking at your shows! Instead of carrying a large planner to your shows, develop an “Available Dates” booking sheet. A simple sheet with the days you are available to hold parties over the next two months is visually easier for your guests to view than flipping back and forth through a bulky planner where you might have other personal information written. Choose your list of available dates by going through your calendar two months at a time and, keeping in mind your lifestyle, choose the dates and times that you will be available to your hostesses. If you have a commitment every Tuesday night or you don’t want to work on Saturdays or Sundays just keep those dates off of your list. By keeping your dates visually clustered in weeks, guests will be able to visualize their calendar as well and will be more likely to book the night of the class.

4. Right now you have a clear picture in your mind of WHY you’ve started your business. It may be for something as small as movie money or may be for something as extravagant as a vacation home! Whatever your reasons are, they belong to you. It may seem simple, but write down your reasons for joining your company and place them where you can see them often. You will experience lots of hills and valleys in this business and as much as we want people to call us everyday to book shows, it’s just not going to happen. Rejection will come (ugh!) and remembering WHY you joined the business will take you out of the rejection valley and on to the next great mountain top high!

5. Now comes the really FUN part! Typically, new representatives are directed to make a list of about 100 people to share the business with, but they make the mistake of waiting until they get their kit to do it. Starting right now, sit down and begin writing the names of everybody that you can think of to share your business with. This will be a list that you continue to add to as you meet new people and refer back to throughout your direct selling career.

6. As you’re developing the above lead list names will pop up and you’ll hear yourself saying, “Oh, she’d do a party for me!” or “This lady is always giving parties, I bet she’d do one!” Call these people today to book your first six shows. By having these bookings lined up and ready to go in your first month, you’ll be able to increase your sales and maximize your company’s new representative rewards programs. Give yourself about twenty four hours to get familiar with the products that come in the kit and how you might want to display them at your shows, but then challenge your hesitancies and start your parties right away.

7. Why not host your own business launch? A business launch will accomplish several things. You’ll be telling everyone you know about your new business and you’ll be in essence hosting your first party. You’ll not only get paid for the sales at this show, but since you are the hostess you’ll be earning lots of great new products to help you boost your kit and you’ll be getting all the bookings to help you increase your business momentum. Take the above lead list and use it as an invitation list for your business launch. If you choose to host your business launch at your house (a wonderful thing to do), consider offering two different times for your guests to arrive. I typically find that a weeknight from 7-9 pm and the following morning from 9-11am work well as a pairing. Maximize your efforts!

8. Call your sponsor to share your goals. Accountability is a benefit when it comes to direct sales. Because you work out of your house you won’t have someone calling you to make sure you’ve accomplished all you’ve set out to do like you would in a full time workplace. Unless you are calling your sponsor or you have asked your sponsor to call you and keep you accountable you’re odds of failing in this business will increase. It’s easier to become successful when you are held accountable by successful people.

There are many other little things you can do before your kit comes, but I find most of them boil down to “playing office”. The above eight suggestions are activities that lead to making money and making the most from your decision to start a home based business. Know that there are more women in direct sales making six figures over any other industry in the nation! If you are consistent and positive you can be as successful as you want!

Home Office Essentials (Part Two)

The last article discussed ergonomics and office furniture and your working environment. This next article will take that a step further and also look at the computer aspect of your home office.

Decorate It

Some people design their home offices to be like a real world office. They take it that step too far though and strip their home office of all character and warmth. There's no need for your home office to be sterile and boring. In fact it should be just the opposite.

Seriously consider adding plants. They're a healthy decoration in so many ways. The colour green has a positive affect on our thought patterns. This combined with the fact that plants filter toxins from the air around us is another great reason for having a "green" office.

Hate those motivational posters you saw in work? Do you know why? They never "spoke" to you as a person. They were just corporate spindoctoring that meant nothing to you. Choose one single motivational poster that speaks to you and put it somewhere you can always see it. Even if it only makes you smile once during a working day because it's cheesy that's a positive influence on you.

Last but not least consider having your mission statement printed out, framed and on your desk in front of you. You don't have a mission statement? Get one! Write it now! Your mission statement is the reason you started your home business - make sure you are reminded of this every single day. It will push you forward when you need encouragement the most.

Your Computer

Stop. This is the point where you need to be really, really honest with yourself. Computers are expensive and tempting. The question you need to ask yourself is "What do I need in my computer?" and not "What kind of computer do I want?"

Your home office does not *need* the latest superfast, supercool computer, printer, scanner, digital camera and external storage.

You want this stuff. You don't necessarily need it.

Your business needs functionality. Your business needs cost effectiveness. Buy what you need for your business. Do not buy what you want for yourself.

Tips for buying your home office computer.

a. Mid-range processor - power Ignore the super poweful, super expensive next generation processors.They won't help you type that document any faster.

b. 512MB of RAM - This is a minimum. If you can afford 1GB get it. If you can afford more get it. More RAM is always better.

c. 40GB hard disk - What are you going to put on a 200GB hard disk? MP3s, movies and games. In other words 200GB of distractions. 40GB - 80GB is more than adequate for home office use.

d. 3D Graphic Accelerator - Next generation 3D chipsets are not essential business equipment. Most modern computers will have a 3D chipset by default. Simply don't go upgrading this because you're only doing it to play the latest games. Don't buy a distraction.

e. CDRW or DVDRW drive - If you value your business you'll value your data. A CD or DVD writer/burner gives you the ability to safely and quickly backup your data. Do not buy a PC without one.

f. Extended warranties - Sales people make large commissions from these. Do you really need a 5 year warranty on your computer? Will you still own the same computer in even 3 years? Never take these warranties at face value.

g. Generic Brand Computers - Just because it isn't Dell, IBM, HP or Compaq doesn't mean it's cheap. Generic brands use the same components as and are therefore equally as reliable as the big name brands like HP and Dell. Buy smart.

h. Refurbished systems - If the budget is tight and the spec is right then these are well worth considering. Be certain of what your warranty cover on such a system is though. Many refurbished systems only have a 90-day warranty.

i. Phone-A-Friend - Check with friends who have purchased computers recently. What problems did they encounter when buying their PC? Who did they buy from? What was the aftersales service like?

Printer

Does your business really need a top-of-the-range color laserjet that prints 7,000 pages per minute?

Nope? Didn't think so.

Here's a brief list of questions you should ask yourself when buying your printer:

Do you need color printing capabilities?
How many pages per minute do you actually need to print?
What is the cost per page for color and black printing?
How much does replacement ink/toner cost?
How many pages of black text can you get from each cartridge?
How much desktop space will the printer require?
Are updated drivers and tech support for this model readily available?

Hopefully this set of articles has proven useful to you. Again a few thousand words can't possibly encompass everything you need to know about designing and operating a home office.

Home Office Essentials (Part One)

So you've decided to set up your own business. You're following the same route taken by thousands of new entrepreneurs each day. You've settled on your business idea, designed a marketing strategy and are looking forward to a bright future.

Did you stop at any point and think about how your home office should be designed? What type of office setup do you need? Most entrepreneurs have their offices at home. Do you even have space for an office at home?

The purpose of the following two articles is not to give you a blow-by-blow plan of how to set up your home office but more to give you tips and advice that'll save you time, heartbreak and money.

YOUR DESK

Newspaper ads years ago were filled with adverts stating "start a business from your kitchen table". While in theory (and in bad advertising) this is fine operating your business from a kitchen tables is entirely unpractical.

A good home office desk is functional, sturdy and has a clear, flat worktop. You've seen those office desks that are filled with drawers, shelves, keyboard trays and tons of other nooks and crannies. Firstly this type of desk looks fine in a catalogue but is far smaller when you actually build it.

Secondly all those drawers and shelves only give you more places to lose stuff. Keep your desk simple.

The ideal home office desk has a large, flat working area with at least one deep drawer for storing files and another shallow drawer for storing pens, paper and other consumables.

Ideally the desk should also be L shaped. This allows you to place your work around you as opposed to constantly having to stretch and reach for different items. The L shaped desk will provide you with a more practical working environment aswell as saving you backpain problems later in life.

YOUR CHAIR

This is where you're going to be spending a considerable amount of time. Never, ever skimp on your home office chair. It is absolutely essential that you have a good office chair.

Many new home business owners make the critical mistake of using a kitchen, spare household or even a garden chair for their home office. This boggles the mind considering the same person probably wouldn't think twice about paying $1,000 for a new computer but won't pay $100 for a quality office chair.

Using a cheap chair that doesn't provide proper back and lower limb support can and will lead to lower back and shoulder pain. It can also provoke migraines and other headaches. Poor posture should never be underestimated - it can have far reaching effects.

Features you should look for in an office chair:

* Adjustable backrest

* Swivel base

* Adjustable armrest

* Adequte lumbar support

* Deep cushioned seat

A great home office chair can be purchased for as little as $60 brand new. If you're finding yourself strapped for cash then check local auction houses for office clearance items.

Other source of "cheap" office chairs are IT firms and call centers. They're constantly having to replace their furniture to meet legal ergonomic requirements. That $200 office chair can often be purchased slightly used for about $20.

YOUR ERGONOMIC ENVIRONMENT

The 3 key environmental factors in a suitable home working environment are noise, light and heat.

NOISE
Excessive noise is not only distracting but also debilitating. Prolonged exposure to excessive noise can and will affect your hearing.

What counts as excessive noise? Most experts agree that anything over 45 decibels or the equivalent of a really loud office fan is counterproductive to your work. You'll have trouble focusing or thinking clearly for more than a few moments.

Your home office needs to be a relatively peaceful environment. You'll do your best thinking, be at your most creative and work most effectively in a quieter office space.

Avoid using laundry rooms, TV rooms or other areas with excessively noisy equipment of any kind.

LIGHT
You need to be in control of the light in or coming into your office. Light sources that are too bright will cause glare on computer screens and documents.

A home office that is too dimly lit will lead to eyestrain and headaches over time. If the area is too dark you'll lean closer to the computer screen and documents to read them thus causing discomfort.

Natural light is ideal because it provides diffuse (soft) light. An added bonus is that natural sunlight has a
beneficial effect on our physiologies - our bodies produce more "feel good" chemicals when we absorb natural light.

Obviously don't put your working area in direct sunlight as it will be far too uncomfortable to work in. Simply arrange your office in such a way as to maximize the benefit of the natural light in your immediate surroundings.

If you're a nightowl then simply point your desklamp away from the desk towards a? This provides the same type of diffuse light that you'd experience during the day. Adjust the lamp until it provides enough light to read your screen or documents comfortably by.

HEAT
This is the easy bit. Your home office should be neither too hot nor too cold. Is that stating the obvious? Any extremes of temperature in your home office will lead to decreased work performance. Normal room temperature is 37 degrees celsius (98 degrees Farenheit) so you need to aim for something in that region.

If your home office is too cold you won't be able to focus. You'll spend more time being annoyed at being cold than getting any work done.

Too much heat and you'll find yourself becoming irritable, lethargic and distinctly uncomfortable.

Your body is no different to the engine of a car or a piece of electronics. We all have optimal working temperatures. Otherwise we break down.

¿Motivar… ó No Motivar?

Una gran mayoría piensa que un equipo debe ser constantemente motivado para que permanezca activo y produciendo.

Hay que repetirles, recordarles lo bueno que es el negocio, la suerte que tienen estando en el grupo, y lo fabulosos que son sus líderes, siempre dispuestos a ayudarles.

Yo no estoy de acuerdo.

- ¿Por qué? -

Creo sinceramente que esto se hace por miedo. Miedo a perder los representantes que tanto esfuerzo te ha costado reclutar. Miedo a perder tu ingreso, tus planes de calificar a tal ó cual nivel.

Yo no tengo miedo. La gente que está conmigo es la que tiene que estar, los que realmente merecen estar ahí.

El resto debe marcharse, y nadie les retendrá, por muchas calificaciones ó dinero que pierda.

Particularmente no estoy aquí para motivar a mi gente.

Ó al menos, no como se suele hacer.

Creo que cada persona debe crecer por sí misma, y motivarse por sí misma. Mi labor como lider es darles ejemplo, ser lo más profesional, cercano, eficiente posible. Esa es mi inyección de motivación.

Además, yo me motivo a mí misma cada día. No necesito que nadie me lleve al país de los sueños. Ya vivo en él. Y quiero atraer a mi alrededor personas que también estén lo suficientemente entusiasmadas con la idea de hacerse ricos.

Un entusiasmo que les nace de dentro, de la convicción personal de que pueden lograrlo, independientemente de mí y mis ideas.

No quiero tener sobre mis espaldas el peso que supone conseguir elevar el tono vital de mi gente. No quiero una guardería. No quiero un rebaño.

Busco líderes. Líderes que traigan otros líderes.

Mi organización no es un carro del que tengo que tirar. Es un equipo que me acompaña al éxito.

Ahora te toca a ti. Decide cómo quieres que sea tu organización, y actúa en consecuencia.

- Haz lo máximo -

En el mercado de venta directa no tienes escapatoria. Antes ó después se ve quién eres. Y según lo que eres, así te duplicarás.

Muchas personas comienzan este negocio tímidamente, no tienen claro si esto es lo que quieren. Por eso no se comprometen de lleno, sólo hacen lo mínimo. Lo justo.

- ¿Crees que si haces lo mínimo, podrás conseguir el máximo? -

En este negocio no. Te lo garantizo.

Si tu compañía tiene dos ó más opciones (paquetes) para comenzar, escoge siempre el mayor, el más caro. Siempre.

Si tu compañía te pide un mínimo para cobrar tus comisiones, hazlo siempre. Si puedes, haz más.

Esto es puramente estratégico.

Estás aquí para ganar dinero, mucho dinero. Así pues tienes que tomarte el negocio en serio. Muy en serio.

Cuanto más pongas de tu parte, cuanto más inviertas en tu negocio en todos los aspectos, más en serio te lo estás tomando.

Si inviertes $69.95 en tu paquete de negocio, puedes irte a los dos minutos. $69.95 dolares no suponen la ruina para casi nadie.

Pero si inviertes $368.95, no creo que te vayas tan rápido, ¿cierto? Al menos intentarás que funcione. Has tenido que pensártelo dos veces antes de tomar la decisión de unirte, y ahora no vas a dejarlo porque sí.

Tu compromiso es más fuerte.

Así pues, para ganar dinero grande, debes enfocarte y comprometerte a lo grande.

Pero hay más.

Una vez que comiences a patrocinar personas, recuérdalo siempre, patrocinarás gente que hará lo mismo que tú. Es lo que llamamos duplicación.

Si tú comenzaste con un paquete de $69.95 dolares, reclutaras personas con paquete de $69.95 dolares. No con $368.95. Es un hecho.

No tendrás la fuerza moral para decirle a nadie: "oye, inscríbete con $368.95. Es el mejor paquete", porque automáticamente tu prospecto te preguntará; "ajá, y tú, ¿con qué paquete te apuntaste?"

"ehhh……..bueno……." A ver cómo sales de esta.

No podrás firmar gente que empiece a lo grande, porque tú no lo hiciste. Y seguramente te perderás jugosas comisiones por esos paquetes más caros que tu negocio te hubiera generado.

Pero no tuviste valentía. No fuiste atrevido. El mundo es de los que se arriesgan, así que, no sólo no duplicarás correctamente, sino que encima perderás dinero.

Mal empezamos.

Por otra parte, si mensualmente tienes que hacer un volumen de 5 ventas por mes, por ejemplo, para cobrar tus comisiones mensuales, y haces sólo 3, ya sabes lo que pasará.

Tu gente hará 3, nadie hará 5, porque tú eres el líder, y ellos copian exactamente lo que haces.

Quizá estés esperando a tener un ingreso mayor para subir tu cantidad mensual.

Pero las matemáticas no engañan.

Si tienes 10 personas que hacen 5 ventas de $200 dolares cada uno por mes, son $1000 dolares (10% de comision por cada Representante que hayas reclutado) por mes en bonus a repartir de estas 10 personas para ti, te llevas las comisiones mes a mes en piloto automatico por el servicio de Paypal, ademas de las ventas que tu hagas personalmente.

Cualquier calificación a la que optéis será 5 veces más rápida
si tú y tu equipo hace lo máximo.

Si vas más rápido, hay más entusiasmo, más empuje, más fuerza en el grupo. Consolidas más eficientemente tu equipo.

Tus líderes harán lo mismo que tú, porque han visto los resultados.

El crecimiento es mucho mayor. El dinero viene a raudales.

Sólo porque tú, que fuiste el primero, tomaste la decisión de hacer lo máximo desde el día 1.

Creaste un hábito de trabajo para ti, que traspasaste a tu gente.

Y este hábito los hara ricos.

Ah, la importancia de los buenos hábitos en los comienzos…

No esperes a tener más para hacer más. Haz más para tener más.

Y sobre todo, sé más. Nada de esto tiene sentido si detrás de este equipo hay alguien vacío, sin escrúpulos, sin visión, sin generosidad.

Bien, seguiremos hablando de esto más adelante.

Es el momento de revisar cuáles de estos puntos quieres implementar, y hacerlo ahora.

There's No Such Thing as the End of the Year

I know, I know... you look on the calendar and you can clearly see that 2009 ends on December 31. So what do I mean when I say there's no such thing as the end of the year?

Well, for you ME Representatives and marketers out there, there's no point in time where you stop and say, "Okay, all done." Because even if you focus on event marketing, (such as Christmas), there's always an upcoming event to aim for. And if you're a full-time, day-in and day-out business, you're already looking long past this holiday season, and your plans for the 1st quarter are firmly in place.

Sure, you can take a breath, and relax and enjoy the holidays. You should, you've earned it! But don't allow your marketing plans to come to a complete stop, or you might lose the momentum you built up during this past season.

In my mind, there's no end... just a series of beginnings. Opportunity after opportunity, one after the other. Some are almost here (like valentine's day), some are on the horizon, (Easter, Mothers Day), some at this point are just a date on next year's calendar - but their beginning will roll along soon, too.

So everyone have a joyous holiday and a Happy New Year, and take some time to enjoy family; friends, and a few days of rest and relaxation. We'll be shut down here for a few days (see bellow for specific hours and dates) so all our ME Team can do the same.

But it's not the end of anything. It's just another beginning!

Yo se, Yo se... que tu miras el calendario y puedes ver claramente que el 2009 termina en Diciembre 31. Entonces, que quiero decir, cuando digo que no hay tal cosa, como el final del año?

Bueno, para aquellos mercaderes alrededor y los Representantes de ME, no hay un tiempo preciso donde te detienes y dices, "Okay, ya termine." Porque aunque te enfoques en el evento del mercado, (como Navidad), siempre hay un evento que planear que viene de camino. Y si tu eres un Negociante a Tiempo-completo, dia-adentro y dia-afuera, ya tu entiendes que las Fiestas de Navidad ya pasaron y has realizado el plan del primer cuarteto del año.

Seguro, tu puedes tener un receso, y relajarte y disfrutar de las Fiestas de Navidad. Tu deberias, te lo mereces! Pero no permitas que tu plan de mercadeo se detenga completamente, o perderas el Momento por el cual ya trabajaste en estas fiestas.

En mi mente, no existe un final...solo una serie de principios. Oportunidades y Oportunidades, una detras de la otra. Algunas ya estan casi aqui (como el dia de la Amistad), y otras todavia estan en el horizonte, (Semana Santa, Dia de las Madres) algunas en este momento solo son fechas en el calendario del año siguiente, pero estan muy cerca de comenzar.

Asi que todos tengan unas gozosas fiestas y un Feliz Año Nuevo y separe tiempo para disfrutar con su familia, Amigos y dias de relajamiento y descanso. Estaremos cerrados por algunos dias (revise al final de la pagina para los dias y horas) asi que todo el equipo de ME puede hacer lo mismo.

Pero esto no es simplemente el final. Es definitivamente otro buen comienzo!

Home Party Plan Theme Shows

Your home party show must be fun for the guests. A reputation for fun shows will bring you a steady supply of bookings. If your home party bookings or your attendance are low, then you may want to consider theme shows.

Depending on your product line, there are a wide variety of theme shows. There are two types. One type revolves around a product or service and the total show changes depending upon the theme. The other type is a theme that changes from the guest perspective and your presentation is always the same.

On first reading the above statement you may be confused. Let’s talk about the latter type first. Examples of theme shows that change while your presentation remains the same are: a Mexican theme, a luau theme or a pool party theme. In those themes, the decor, the food and beverage and maybe attire would change, possibly even the music, but your presentation would basically follow the same format.

These are the types of theme shows that I do. I only run theme shows in January to give that month a special meaning and really nothing changes for me regarding the demo. I may change up the recipe a bit, get out my Hawaiian shirt and offer a prize for the best tropical hat or shirt, but other than that all is the same. This is an easy way to create themes and interest in booking a show. When you say at your show: “Next month I have two themes: Tropical Vacation and Margaritaville” you will create desire for booking a show with your guests.

Here are some shows that keep your regular demo routine:

Chocoholic City
Pool Party
Pajama Party (This was really fun! Everyone arrived in street clothes, changed when it was time to leave, and we all drove home in our PJs!)
Hospital Party
Disco or ’70s show
Hawaiian Luau
Tropical Vacation
Margaritaville
Mexican Fiesta
Patriotic Theme (I usually call this the Red, White and Blueberry party)
Wine and Cheese Party

Theme Parties Will Boost Party Plan Sales

A theme party will boost your sales if you focus on a product or service that has good value. A theme show that changes your whole demo is a little more complicated and needs to be thought out a little more thoroughly. A theme show should highlight your most valuable service or product. For example if you work for a cosmetic company, a theme show highlighting your anti-aging line might be called “The Fountain Of Youth”. You could call a theme show highlighting your lipstick line “The Lip Tickler”. It sounds like fun and most likely will sell many tubes of lipstick, yet may not generate as many sales as the Fountain of Youth show would.

Another example would be if a kitchen tool company consultant has a Cookie Swap show. The theme show will probably sell a ton of cookie presses. But if the same company had a “Cook Once, Eat Twice” theme show highlighting the pots and pans, the sales would be a lot higher. Make sure that you create a theme show around a product or service that will generate higher sales. The inexpensive items will still sell, you just do not have to focus on them as a theme.

Seasonal Theme Shows For Party Plan Increase Bookings

Some shows with seasonal appeal may also be good for sales. Seasonality always brings a sense of urgency which is good for sales and bookings. The above-mentioned cookie show or even the wine and cheese theme may have a seasonal appeal in December that would help with bookings in a month when sales could be down. Pool parties in the summer, romance or couples parties in February, or even a men’s football party in the fall for early holiday shopping for spouses could increase party plan bookings in different seasons.

Theme shows can definitely increase bookings, so think about how you can serve the needs of your customers to create themes that would bring value to their lives and bookings to your calendar.

The Secret to Leaving Effective Voicemail Messages!!

Hello Everyone,

Here is Maria Ines again this week with a very important information for your business. I want to share this very important article with you. You will used this everyday with your business, so read it, you'll be glad you did!

You just purchased some fresh home based business leads and it amazes you how many prospects are not there when you call. People aren't calling back when you leave a voicemail message and you feel like you've wasted your time and money. Let me show you a foolproof voicemail message that makes prospects want to call you back right away....

You're excited about the advertising campaign you just invested in and, as the leads come in, you start dialing, looking for the next Network Marketing superstar to join your team. Every time the voicemail picks up you get this sinking feeling because you've heard many times that people won't call you back when you leave a message. You can choose not to leave a message and try calling back at different times or you can work smarter by leaving a message that compels prospects to call you back immediately.

The number one most important key when leaving a message is that you do not sound like a stranger. We have a concept that we teach called "friends first" which means that we begin ANY conversation whether in person or recorded in a friendly way. This requires that you have the same posture and body language as if you were talking to a friend. When you call one of your buddies and say, "hey Bob, what's up? Give me a call, I gotta tell you something, bye," you don't sound like a stranger. I would leave a message for a prospect in the very same way. However which way I lead that conversation is how they will respond to it.

The 2nd key when leaving a message is not to come across as a salesperson. You are not talking to a machine. You are actually talking to a live person that's going to listen to your message. Just because you are in a business that markets products or services does not mean that you suddenly become a telemarketer when prospecting. How many telemarketers do you call back when they leave a message?

The 3rd key is to actually call yourself and leave a message. You can practice this using one of my well-known voicemail scripts, leave a message listen to your message and ask yourself, "Would I call me back?" You'll know within the first ten seconds whether you would call back or not. You only have a few seconds to make a lasting impression and to create and eager want in the prospect to call you back.

If the prospect responded to a company specific advertisement then you would want to include your company's name in the message. If the advertisement was non-company specific, then it's best to leave the company name out. For this example, your ad is general home business and does not mention your company's name. Here's what your message will sound like,

"Hi Bob, this is Maria. I'm calling you back to get you the information you requested. I've been with the company for a few weeks and I've already made a thousand dollars. We're doing some pre-screening interviews right now because there's a lot of work on our part in establishing somebody in a home based business. So, if you are serious go ahead and give me a call back. I'll get you that information and we'll see if you have the qualities of the type of person we're looking for. At that point we'll decide if we are going to work together. My phone number is …

This message is simple and highly effective in getting cold market lead prospects to call you back. Put this and Dani's Johnson cold market prospecting script into play, and watch these prospects eat out of your hands and join your Network Marketing business immediately. Hope this note finds you well and enjoying a lovely Monday.

Maybe it's the change of seasons. Maybe it's all of the financial and election news from Wall Street and Washington. Maybe it's the fact that I'm personally on the verge of my 39st birthday and I'm feeling the energy of the turning point to the second half of my life....

Whatever it is, simple truths are becoming mighty clear these days!

One simple truth has been extremely present for me lately, and I want to share it with anyone willing to listen: MINIMIZE YOUR EXPOSURE TO THE NEGATIVE and MAXIMIZE YOUR EXPOSURE TO THE POSITIVE.

Sometimes it seems like we don't have very much control over this. The negative situations and negative people might be right in our faces all the time, and the positive situations and people seem too far out of reach. You know what? That's life. But our happiness is our own responsibility. It's our job to get those negatives out of our faces and bring those positives into our lives. Embrace the positive and reject the negative. Our happiness and well-being depends on it! Our own LIFE depends on it!

Since everything in life seems to have a Star Trek connection, this is no exception. :-)

Seek out new worlds and boldly go where no one has gone before.....

Of course this is easier said than done. There are always pesky Klingons in the way, or perhaps a negative energy vortex or two.... Simple truths might be simple, but they are not always easy.

I'd bet that each and every one of you has at least one person who you've approached about Miranda's Essentials Products or Business who has given you every bit of negativity you could possibly imagine--and some bits you never even thought of! They say it's a scam, they say you are being foolish to trust it, they say the economic times will put your small business out of business....

Well I say that's a lot of HOO-HA.

If folks are not interested in this wonderful program of ME that you want to share with them, that's their loss, not yours. Don't dwell on trying to convince every single person that ME is a great BUSINESS. Forget the skeptics and move on to the next person who might be interested! You will probably see them change their tune when your commissions are flowing in and your life is getting better and better.

I promise you--I joined/Created Miranda's Essentials last December, and I am really, truly getting paid every month. It really, honestly does happen. I know that might seem far off when you are just starting to build your business, but as Dani says so often, you get as much out of Miranda's Essentials as you put into it.
