MIRPURKHAS Jan 28. Complete strike was observed in the city on the call of Nationalists parties here on Saturday. In morning armed unknown miscreants on bikes resorted heavy firing at different places in the city forcing the shopkeepers to put shut down their shutters. Miscreants also beated some shopkeepers near Jarwary Shakh, Pak colony, Hameed Pura colony, Hirabad etc while deployed police personnels did not intervene to stop the miscreants from damaging and torturing the shopkeepers. Panic remained prevail in the city whole day . Traffic was thin while transports were also stopped at their routs as result people faced hardships. All the petrol pumps and CNG service centers remained close in the city as result people faced difficulties for getting petrol and CNG gas for their bikes and vehicles. Some activists of nationalist parties have also burnt the tyres at M.A.Jinnah road and station road. Police were deployed at main chowk , roads and sensitive areas of the city to avert any untoward incident. Report received that strike was also observed at Digri , Jhuddo, Naokot and Kot Ghulam Mohammad.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 28. Deteriorated condition of Mir Sher Muhammad Talpure public school Mirpurkhas has forced the parents to shift their children to other private schools as number of students were decreasing as at this time about 95 boarding students were taking their education in the school, while in past about 265 boarding students had been acquired their education at a time from this school. Sources said that school condition had been deteriorated due to financial corruption and irregularities of principal of the school as Mohammad Azam Sahito was appointed as principal a year back by board of governor BOG of the school that was controversial as one of the candidate had gone in litigation. However during his one year tenure he was bound to increase quality education and standard of the school but unfortunately its condition was deteriorated due to alleged corruption and irregularities of principal . Sources said that Over ten staff of the school had yet allegedly been removed from their services on the base of different pretext even mostly staff had been issued show cause notices and explanations by the principal as result panic was created among the teachers even a day students of some class rooms had been boycotted the class rooms in protest of issuing baseless explaination to the teachers by the principal . Sources added that in 2010, above principal was allegedly removed from service as principal from Army public school district Dadu in charges of being involved in financial corruption . While in advertisement of inviting application for appointment of principal of Public school Mirpurkhas, candidate was bound to be aged above 35 years but at the time of his appointment as principal public school Mirpurkhas aged approximately 32 years, sources added. While sources revealed that there was bound to be principal with minimum experience of 15 years as teaching but all these rules were neglected by BOG of the school for his appointment even highly educated and having excess experiences candidates were neglected during appointment process of the school. Report said that district government Mirpurkhas had been provided grant RS 1 million to public school for maintenance of school campus , electrification and rehabilitation of the garden but unfortunately that grant was allegedly misappropriated by principal who kept away the concerned purchased committee even himself allegedly made purchasing. Principal provided report of utilization of funds to district government after which commissioner Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon, as chairman of the BOG of above public school convened the meeting of BOG on Nov 29, 2011 in which decided to special audit of the utilization report of grant RS 1 million within 10 days, but no special audit of that report was yet made. Sources said that Bursar (state officer) Ahmed Nawaz Soomro of the public school had also been submitted his report to commissioner Mirpurkhas on Nov 17, 2011 regarding the corruption and irregularities committed by the principal Mohammad Azam Sahito. In his report , sources added that he mentioned that during last a year, above principal had been drawn advance salaries many times as result sofar he had been received advance over RS 15000. He complained that above principal had also been drawn through cheques amount over RS 50000 in different times as advances for purchasing of different items which again is the sign of corruption as in the presence of other staff he alone was purchasing and submitting the bills without any codel formalities. He said that grant RS 1 million by the district government was single handedly used by the principal for purchase of goods, neither members of the purchase committee was involved in it nor the quotations and tenders were invited. This grant money was used in Karachi even bills and quotation provided to accounts department was computer printed by the principal himself. He said that above principal has been using improperly vehicles of the school for personal purpose even over a week when he had taken the vehicle to his native city Khairpur.

He complained that school’s 30 years raw material (books and registers) had been sold by the principal in his absence.

He expressed that mess of the school had been famous for the messing standards and food items provided to the students but since 5 months many complaints of students were received about the quality and quantity of food. He said that about 10 school employees had yet been illegally removed from the services by the principal. He alleged that principal was not only involved in financial embezzlements but also misbehaving and abusing the employees. It may be recalled that due to above deteriorated condition of the public school Mirpurkhas parents were forced to shift their children to other private schools as result about 95 students were getting their education in lake of facilities. While students were reportedly deprived of medical facilities due to unfunction of the school’s dispensary.

When contacted commissioner Mirpurkhas also chairman of BOG of public school Mirpurkhas said that there was dispute between principal and Bursar (state officer) Ahmed Nawaz Soomro and denied of any corruption even added that all the short money had been paid and BOG of the school had been ordered the audit of the grant money of RS 1 million provided to public school Mirpurkhas.

When contacted for comments principal Mohammad Azam Sahito said that all the allegations leveled on him were baseless and fabricated and there was no any issue of the school as last BOG meeting had been resolved all the matters.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 27. One person was axed to death in revenge of old murder near market chowk here on Friday. Report said that Dhano Bheel, 35, s/o Roopshi , resident of Jhurbi village after attending his hearing in the local court was on his way that near Municipal shopping center three armed persons attacked on him with axes as result he sustained serious wounds , rushed to civil hospital emergency where doctors pronounced him dead. One of the killer Bhudho Nohani , resident of Digri taluka was captured by police with the help of citizens when he was fleeing from the spot and recovered from his possession involved axe. The other two his accomplices Allah Din Nohani and Allahdino Nohani managed to escape from the spot. Arrested accused confessing his offence before the police said that deceased had been killed his cousin Allahyar Nohani two years back which case was in proceeding in the local court. He further said that he killed him in revenge of murder of his cousin. Town police on the complaint of Harchand Bheel , little brother of the deceased has lodged the murder case against the above three accused .

MIRPURKHAS Jan 27. Hesco Mirpurkhas division has been disconnected the power supply of different departments of TMA Mirpurkhas owing to not payment of hesco arrears here on Friday. Report said that Hesco officials disconnected the power supply of street lights, water supply and sewerage pumping stations and offices of TMA Mirpurkhas after not being paid arrears of RS one Arab and 73 crors. XEN hesco Mirpurkhas division Mohammad Farooque Afghan , when contacted told that various federal government departments and provincial government departments were defaulters of RS 3 Arab of Hesco and added that today electricity supply was disconnected of TMA Mirpurkhas and on Saturday all the police department connections and railway department including railway colony and offices connections would be disconnected on non payment of Hesco dues. He said that various meetings in this regard had been held with concerned departments but they remained fail to pay hesco dues as result hesco Mirpurkhas division compelled to disconnect the connections of above government departments.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 27. Medical superintendent of taluka Hospital Pithoro was injured in armed attack by a person during his duty in the hospital on Friday. Injured Medical superintendent Dr Kirshan Khatri told this correspondent on telephone that he was on his official duty that a person entered with axe in the hospital and attacked with axe on him as result he sustained injuries while the armed person was captured by the people identified as Mansoor Chang. He added that he was immediately provided first aid and admitted in the hospital. He said that as learnt that armed attacker was mentally upset as he was later handed over to Pithoro police for legal action. He said that case of this incident might not be lodged to pithoro police station due to absence of SHO from taluka Pithoro. However, emergency meeting of Pakistan medical association taluka Pithoro and taluka Samaro was held at Pithoro presided by Dr Ali Mardan Khoso that strongly condemned the incident and demanded the authorities to ensure registration of this incident otherwise doctors would be compelled to observe strike.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 27. Deputy Commissioner Mirpurkhas Nadeemur Rehman Memon has stressed need of complete cooperation of community for complete eradication of Polio disease and such we could save our children from forever disability. This said, while inaugurating the polio eradication campaign here on Friday at Hameed Pura colony basic health unit. He further said that polio was a virus that not only attack on children while it attacked on elders and we would have to take measures on the basis of battle for saving its attack. He said that those parents denied to provide polio vaccine to their children would agree them for administering the polio drops to their children. He directed the EDO health Mirpurkhas Shafqat Dahri to launch awareness campaign regarding polio virus during each polio campaign sothat all the children under 5 years might be provided polio drops. On this occasion Dr Ashfaque , Dr Khalid, Dr Jumman Thebo of Peoples primary health initiative programme , incharge Dr Narain of Basic health unit Hameed Pura colony , community mobilizar Shehzad Khan, Shehnaz Bano and Asma Tabassum were also present.

Dispute was created between two religious groups over the hoisting of flags on the controversial Madarsa in Neem Wali Gali of Hirabad here on Friday night as result armed persons of both groups resorted heavy firing spreading the panic in the city while the shops were closed in Hirabad even stampede was also seen as result various people sustained minor injuries. Soon after this incident, dozens of armed persons of a group resorted heavy aerial firing at M.A.Jinnah road, Market chowk, station road, Umerkot road, post office chowk, forcing the shopkeepers to shutter down their shops, even push carts were also closed by their owners and police were missing during heavy aerial firing. Report said that an Old Madarsa situated in Neem Wali Gali of Hirabad had been caused in past dispute between two religious groups in which an innocent woman was killed of indiscriminate firing. Dispute created today also between two religious groups over hoisting flags on this controversial Madarsa as result, armed persons of both sides resorted heavy aerial firing. Police remained away from this incident after which armed persons of a group spread at different places in the city forcing the shopkeepers to close their shops by resorting heavy aerial firing. Later, police were reached at the controversial madarsa and deployed police personnels there to avert any untoward incident. Police personnels were also deployed at different places in the city after closure of the markets and bazaars.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 14. Workers and office bearers of Pakistan Hydro electric central labor union Mirpurkhas division have observed pen down strike here on Wednesday and also closed their offices in protest against government decision to remove Pepco as result Hesco consumers faced hardships. While workers and office bearers also took out protest rally from railway station roundabout, led by divisional chairman Akbar Khan Leghari and general secretary Yousuf Soomro, carrying banners and placards marched through main roads. They raised also slogans in support of their demands. They reached at local press club and staged also sit in at Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road. Addressing at the protesters leaders Akbar Khan Leghari, Malik Abdul Kareem and Shahid Kazmi strongly condemned the government decision to remove the Pepco. They said that first of all government had removed the Wapda and then formed PEPCO but now again it wanted to remove it , however now employees would not allow the government to remove Pepco . They accused that government had already been failed due to its wrong policies as result various important profited departments of the country had also been destroyed like Railway department. They demanded the government to immediately withdraw its decision in the benefit of common people otherwise they would be compelled to close power supply in the country.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 14. Protest rally of abadgars of Kandiari, Sindhri, and Mirpurkhas was reached here on Wednesday in front of local press club that was started from Kandiari town, district Sanghar, in which hundreds of abadgars participated. Human rights organizations, political parties, and social organizations also joined the protest rally at Mirpurkhas. Led by landlords Aqeel Ahmed Wassan, Faqeer Mohammad Dawood Rajar, Manghan Halepota and Sardar Taj Mohammad Bhurgari, carrying banners and placards demanding the government to resolve the basic grievances of the flood affected abadgars. Talking to media men, protesters strongly condemned the government for its failure to drain out the stagnant flood water from 4 union councils of taluka Sindhri as result still over 25000 acres of agriculture land were inundated under 3 to 4 feet rainy water. They added that mostly abadgars had been deprived of sowing wheat crop. They lamented that due to heavy rainfall and flood condition abadgars had been suffered big losses as their crops had been devastated even their houses were destroyed and cattle head were died of diseases. They regretted that now banks were forcing to flood affected abadgars to pay their agriculture loans while government had already been announced calamity hit districts under which loan recovery was off even loans and their interest were waived off by banks . They accused that officials of Zarri Tarraqiati bank and other commercial banks were disturbing the rain hit growers for immediately payment of agriculture loan. They urged the government to stop the bank officials from forcing the rain hit growers and immediately waive off their agriculture loans with interests. They complained that insufficient quantity of wheat seed as 10 kilogrammes per acre was being provided to the grower against the government policies while that was insufficient for sowing and revenue department should provide proper quantity of wheat seed to growers under government policies. They further said that banks were not also paying them insurance money of their crop despite destroying the whole crop. They demanded the president Asif Ali Zardari, prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Sindh chief minister and other authorities to take immediate notice into this matter, resolve their above grievances without any delay otherwise they would be compelled to launch massive protest campaign against the government.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 5. A minor girl was crushed to death by a speedy unknown car at Umerkot Mirpurkhas road near village Moulvi Siddique Panhwer, one kilometer away from the city here on Monday. Report said that Ms Rani d/o Premchand Meghwar was crossing the main Umerkot Mirpurkhas road that a speedy car hit her as result she sustained head injuries and died on the spot after some time. While the involved unknown car fled away from the spot after this incident. The body of the victim girl was brought at civil hospital for legal formality.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 5. Emergency has been declared by commissioner Mirpurkhas in all the civil hospitals of Mirpurkhas division due to Ashura here on Monday, while police control room to monitor the Tazia and mourn processions with the help of CCTV cameras has been setup in Municipal complex building that was inaugurated by SSP Mirpurkhas Riaz Ahmed Soomro here on Monday , while Commissioner Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon was also present on this occasion. Talking to media men SSP Riaz Ahmed Soomro told that 15 sensitive areas were declared in the district that were being monitored with the help of CCTV cameras including Azakhana Zohra Chaki Para, Shrine Makhan Shah, Mirwah road, M.A.Jinnah road, Gurdwara Building, Sessions court, post office chowk, station road, Market chowk, Madina Masjid chowk, Sindhri road, Habib bank main branch, National bank Municipal Branch, state life building etc. He said that 15 TV and wireless bases were installed in the control room which emergency telephone number was 9290196. While he added that about 30 police staff will pay their duties round the clock in the control room . He told that additional police personnel had also been sought here from other districts to control the situation. He said that strict security arrangements were made in the district on this occasion as checking of any person was being made at Imam Bargahs and at sensitive areas of the district.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 5. Commissioner Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has said that rehabilitation work of flood affected people has been started in the district Mirpurkhas as revenue officials were busy to distribute Blanket, Coverlet and Rally among the rain hit people in all six talukas of the district including Mirpurkhas, Sindhri, Hussain Bux Mari, Digri, Jhuddo and Kot Ghulam Mohammad. Talking to media men here on Monday he said that we had been received sufficient quantity of above things from government for distribution and those had been divided among the all talukas of the district for distribution among the flood affected people. He further said that 4 union councils of taluka Sindhri and rural areas of the taluka Jhuddo were still submerged under flood water and due to more than grievances of the flood affected people of those areas, we have been increased the quota of them including ration and other goods including blankets, Coverlet and rally than other talukas.

MIRPURKHAS July 21. District police officer Mirpurkhas Mohammad Riaz Soomro has said that moral of police raises by giving live sacrifices by brave police personnels during encounter with criminals. He was speaking at the distribution of cheques ceremony, of RS 20 lakhs each to vidows of police constables Mohammad Yousuf and Makan Lal who were killed during encounter with dacoits in the limit of Digri police station a year back while the dacoits were looting the passenger coach, held here on Thursday at DPO office Mirpurkhas. He said that provincial police officer has provided this grant money for deceased constables’ families. He said that we should fulfill our duty with sincerity, honestly and with spirit sothat crimes might be eliminated. He further said that a true brave police officer provides the protection to the masses. He said that brave youths, constable Mohammad Yousuf and Makan Lal had made encounter with dacoits bravely and sacrificed their lives to provide protection to the passengers of coach .

MIRPURKHAS July 21. Ms Reshma, 10, d/o Abdul Malik was produced by town investigation police here on Thursday in the court of civil judge and Judicial Magistrate 1, Mirpurkhas, where statement was recorded under section 164 CrPc, she accused that about two months back she was abducted by Ghani Kabari and his son Rashid Malik as she was given intoxicate medicine and taken her to Karachi where she was kept first in hotel and then kept her in a rented house. Reshma further said that she was physically tortured in illegal confinement and torture marks were visible at her body . The court allowed her to go with her parents. On this occasion Abdul Malik, father of the victim girl, and mother told the newsmen that above accused were their neighbors and are influential as result local police were hopeless before them. He said with a sob that accused had ruined the life of her daughter. They demanded the chief justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan , chief justice high court, human rights organizations and higher police officers to immediately arrest the involved culprits Ghani Kabari and his son Rashid Malik and punish them exemplary. They told that accused had been boarded their daughter in a Miprurkhas bound coach at Karachi last night and their daughter Ms Reshma reached at Mirpurkhas. DSP city Mirpurkhas Mohammad Ayub Dars told that legal action will be taken against the accused in the light of recorded statement of victim Ms Reshma and after receiving her medical examination report. It may be recalled that on May 27, 2011, abduction case of complainant Abdul Malik was lodged with town police station against the accused Rashid Malik, Majid, Ghani Kabari and his wife Ms Bundi.

MIRPURKHAS July 21. Census commissioner Sindh Noor Mohammad Leghari has said that training would be provided in Sindh to selected officials for census from Sept 7 to Sept 28 like other provinces and added that census will be started from Sept 30 and will be completed till Oct 14^th. . He was reviewing the arrangements made sofar regarding the 6^th coming census process in a meeting held here on Thursday He further said that human census and house census were being made after declaring the year 2011 by UNO in the world regarding human census and house census. He expressed that for human census, selected women in cities while men in villages would be appointed for this purpose. Commissioner further said that owing to correct human census in future, planning of development works will be made easy in the country. He expressed that problems were created due to wrong entries in human census. He added that there will be required complete cooperation of all the staff sothat this human census might be completed without any problem. He told that a person will be appointed at each block for human census and will take census of 250 to 300 houses while complete cooperation of law enforcing agencies would be provided to field officials. He said that commissioner Mirpurkhas will supervise this work on divisional level, deputy commissioners on district level and assistant commissioners would supervise this human census on taluka level, while in this connection all necessary funds were being released to all districts. Commissioner Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon on this occasion assured complete cooperation and added that complete facilities would be provided to trained staff during census process. MIRPURKHAS July 20. The court of additional sessions Judge Mirpurkhas 1, ordered the SHO town police to register the case against the accused (including district health officer Mirpurkhas) involved in armed attack at the Maria medical center here on Tuesday after hearing the advocate of Dr Yasir Iqbal, administrator of the hospital and SHO town. Yasir Iqbal, administrator of the hospital had been filed the application under section 22-A and B Cr.P.C in the above court in which he stated that on July 17, Mrs Javed Ali Leghari delivered a baby in the hospital while the delivery was normal but later on baby’s condition did not remain satisfactory. Concerned lady Doctor and staff tried their best out but the baby died . He added that later, in morning, father of late baby Javed Ali Leghari and unknown 15 to 20 persons entered into the hospital and started harassing the dispenser Gul Sher, lab attendant Ravi , Staff Nurse Mubeena and Choukidar Kheemchand. They broken down the glasses of the hospital and extorted RS 23550 kept on counter and took away with them. During this Dr Haneef Baloch, district health officer Mirpurkhas came there and abused all staff and taken away the concerned file of the patient Mrs Javed Ali Leghari. He further said that DHO also issued threats of dire consequences and threat to get the hospital closed. He stated that DHO asked the applicant and private workers settle the dispute with Javed Ali Leghari else we were to be put to heavy loss of lives and property. Applicant further said that he had submitted the application in town police station for registration of his complaint but police refused to lodge his case.

MIRPURKHAS July 20. Pakistan medical association PMA district Mirpurkhas chapter has strongly condemned the armed attack on the Maria medical center and implicating the lady doctor and staff in false case. According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, Meeting of PMA Mirpurkhas was held that was presided by its president Dr Darya Khan Khaskheli while the meeting called the authorities to provide protection to the doctors and health staff. President Dr Darya Khan Khaskheli and general secretary Dr Shamsul Aarfeen deplored that miscreants had attacked at the Maria hospital and broken down the glasses, looted the cash money, and taken away file record of concerned patient, oxygen gas cylinder, keys and also implicated the lady doctor and staff in false case. They said that doctors provide medical treatment even in badly condition and if this practice will be repeated in future then doctors and health staff would be compelled to launch protest campaign. They appealed the district administration and police to take necessary steps in this regard and said that if any such kind of incident occurs then concerned department should conduct the inquiry and register the case sothat innocent persons might be saved from being involved in offence. They further demanded the DIG Mirpurkhas zone and DPO Mirpurkhas to withdraw the false case without any delay and provide the justice to the innocent persons.

MIRPURKHAS July 20. Vote casting for election of Azad Kashmir assembly for constituency LA 36 and LA 30 was also held here on Wednesday as polling station was setup at Government Modal primary school Dholanabad. There were total 150 votes including women here while polling was started at 8 AM morning in peaceful manner and remained continue till 4 PM. According to unofficial result , candidate of MQM Tahir Khokhar of LA 36 constituency got 77 votes out of 79 votes while in constituency LA 36, MQM candidate Saleem Batt gained 68 votes out of 71 votes. Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion. Later, after announcement of winning the above both seats with big margin for candidates of MQM, a huge rally was taken out from central election office Dholanabad on behalf of MQM Mirpurkhas zone. Participators carrying MQM flags and photographs of Altaf Hussain, raised slogans in the favor of Altaf Hussain and MQM and rounded in at the roads of the city. Besides, in a press statement member MQM interior Sindh Tanzemi committee Mohammad Yousuf, zonal incharge Azeem Danish and members zonal committee said that MQM had given tickets to the persons who belong to middle class sothat they could themselves solve their problems.

MIRPURKHAS July 19. President Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter Mir Zafarullah Talpure has strongly condemned the concerned authorities for failure to complete repair and strengthen works of the dykes and banks of canals and distributaries that had been affected with last year flood. Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said that federal government as well as Sindh government had been released the funds for repair and strengthen work of the dykes and banks of the canals that had been adversely affected with last year flood, but he deplored that unfortunately responsible authorities did not fulfill their responsibilities in this regard, while there was expected rainfall and experts had also been warned about the development of the flood condition this year also after heavy rainfall in the Sindh province. He said that Sindh province had been suffered big losses due to last year flood and lakhs of people had been displaced from their lands and areas for relief camps. He termed inefficiency of the concerned authorities that failed to complete the repair and strengthen work of the dykes and urged the government to take immediate notice in this regard and ensure completion of the repair and strengthening work of the dykes and backs before the rainfall and save the Sindhi people from their big losses.

MIRPURKHAS July 12.Crackdown of district police, rounded up 15 narcotic peddlers and recovered huge quantity of unhealthy Gutka and other narcotics from their possession during 24 hours in the district. Report said that on a tip off, town police carried out raid and apprehended accused Sajid Ali Malik near from Tandoadam road and recovered from his possession 54000 Gutka no 2100. Town police have also lodged the case against the above accused under narcotic act. Deputy district population welfare officer Mirpurkhas Nasrullah Kumbhar has said that family planning was a requirement for controlling the population and population could be controlled by implementation on the best advices of doctors. MIRPURKHAS July 11. Senior child specialist and incharge peads ward of civil hospital Mirpurkhas Dr Ghazi Khan Mari was died of kidney failure here on Sunday late night. He was over 50 years old. His kidneys were being made dialysis from the local dialysis center Mirpurkhas for last various months. He was also patient of sugar for last 20 years. Report said that About a dozen persons with arms have attacked on one Arif Abbasi, beated him, ensure aerial firing and kidnapped him forcibly , during this town police went back to the kidnappers but in the way, kidnappers left the abductee and fled away . Report said that Ms Sonia and Kareem, resident of Bishti colony had allegedly been married some days back with their willings. MIRPURKHAS May 2. An employee of Telephone and Telegraph T&T department Sanghar was gunned down by two armed motor cyclists in day light near National bank building on Monday in Sanghar town. Report received that as Ali Khan Chakrani, 32, son of Ghulam Mohammad Chakrani came out from the National bank building and was on their way in the street that two unknown armed motor cyclists appeared there and opened indiscriminate firing on him as result he sustained serious bullet injuries and died on the spot. The armed assailants fled away at their bike. Sanghar police reached at the spot and shifted the body to civil hospital Sanghar for autopsy. After post mortem body was handed over to his heirs. MIRPURKHAS April 14. A worker of PPP and local leader of Ghosia Jamaat Mirpurkhas was gunned down by his brother at Siaal colony here on Wednesday late night. Report said that Sardar Siaal and Khadim Siaal , both brothers had been disputed over the joint properties, while their uncle had also been decided the disputed matter but again both disputed during which suddenly Khadim Siaal opened fires on his brother Sardar Siaal, 35, son of Ali Mohammad Siaal as result he was killed of serious bullet injuries at the spot. SHO town Mohammad Amin Mari reached at the spot and shifted the body to civil hospital for autopsy. SHO told the newsmen that accused Khadim Siaal was himself surrendered at town police station and claiming of committing murder. Police said that some three suspected had been detained by town police. The body of the deceased was handed over to his heirs after post mortem from civil hospital Mirpurkhas. However no case of this murder was lodged with town police station till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS April 14. Board of intermediate and secondary education Mirpurkhas announced it’s schedule of the annual examination of 9^th and 10^th classes from 18^th April in the Mirpurkhas region. In this connection all the arrangements have been finalized by the board. Barkat Qureshi, assistant controller examination told the newsmen here on Thursday that total 54000 girls and boys’ candidates would take part in the annual exam in Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Umerkot and Tharparkar districts while 121 examination centers had been setup for this purpose. He said that examination slips have been issued to the candidates through their educational insitutes and if any candidate did not receive the slip should contact with controller examination of the board. He said that we were seeking the cooperation of teachers, civil society, parents and candidates to stop the use of unfair means during annual exam. He added that 15 vigilance teams have been formed comprising EDOs education, board of governors and members of educational board for monitoring the exam at 121 examination centers. He expressed that directives had been issued to candidates that they would not use any mobile cell phone and cheating materials in the premises of examination center. He expressed that any candidate found using unfair means during exam will be ousted from the examination center and will be disqualify for 1 to 3 years according to his offence. MIRPURKHAS April 14. President Sanghar press club Ashfaque Ahmed Bhatti has come under armed attack in Sanghar town by two masked armed motor cyclists on Wednesday night. Report received that senior journalist and president of Sanghar press club Ashfaque Ahmed Bhatti was on his way to house from press club in his car that two unknown masked armed motor cyclists opened fires on him as result bullets were penetrated in his car, while fortunately he remained unhurt. The armed motor cyclists escaped away as the citizen gathered at the spot. Later, attempt to murder case was lodged with Sanghar police station against the two unknown armed motor cyclists by victim Ashfaque Ahmed Bhatti. Token hunger strike was observed by Sindh tarraqi Passand party district Sanghar on Thursday in front of Sanghar press club to protest against the intervention of an organization that was willing to change the Sindhi population in minority in the province. Deputy Director Food department Mirpurkhas region Mohammad Hussain Ghumro has said that allegations leveling on food department officials regarding selling the Bardana to traders baseless and fabricated , while Bardana was being distributed among the growers without any discrimination in the region. Talking to the local news man on Wednesday, he said that he was receiving complaints of some officials and he will suspend them soon. They said that she was murdered secretly after selling her gold ornaments of RS 5 lakhs and acquiring other cash RS 7 lakhs , while her body was taken secretly from Digri town to shrine Sarwar Noh graveyard near village Kario Ganwar, taluka Golarchi, district Badin, where Hindu Kolhi, labours of the Mir Amanullah Talpure buried her body in the graveyard, they added. They said that they submitted the application in the court of district and sessions Judge Mirpurkhas for post mortem of their deceased sister but sessions judge Mirpurkhas wrote the letter to sessions Judge Badin after which medical board made post mortem of their deceased sister in presence of concerned judicial magistrate and then body was handed over them for proper burial. MIRPURKHAS April 12. A taxi driver was killed by armed highway robbers at Mirpurkhas Sanghar road near Kandiari on Tuesday. Report received that Yaseen Mangrio,40, taxi driver, resident of village Mohammad Bux Mangrio as reached near Kandiari at Mirpurkhas Sanghar road from his village after getting passengers for going to Karachi that 5 armed unknown robbers were busy to loot the vehicles by blocking the main highway road and the robbers had already been looted various vehicles. Robbers stopped his car and tried to loot him but he offered resistance on which one of the robber opened fires on him as result he sustained various bullet injuries and died on the spot while the passengers remained safe. The robbers fled away after this incident from the spot in hurry. Soon after this incident villagers from neighbor villages arrived there after listening the voice of fires and shifted the body of the deceased driver to rural health center Kandiari for autopsy. Later, after post mortem, his body was handed over to his heirs and his relatives in dozens along with deceased body have demonstrated at Main Mirpurkhas Sanghar road near Kandiari to protest against peromal police failure for not taking measures to nab the involved robbers . Led by Abdul Lateef Mangrio, protesters, accusing that peromal police were failed to take immediate action against the involved culprits even police did not cordoned the suspected area for nabbing the involved robbers and they added that they themselves have arranged the private Peri for tracing the escaped robbers with the help of their foot prints . They demanded the DPO Sanghar to take notice against the negligence of the Peromal police and ensure immediate arresting of the involved culprits. MIRPURKHAS April 7. Cotton sowing was delaying in tail end areas of lower Nara canal owing to shortage of irrigation water. Report said that cotton sowing had been started in the province from April 1^st but water scarcity was prevailing in the tail end areas of lower Nara canal including Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Tharparkar districts. It may be recalled that above tail end districts were produced more than cotton crop each year. Last year cotton was sowed at 40000 hectors in district Mirpurkhas. Growers were expecting the required supply of water in their distributaries and minors but as the cotton sowing season launched water supply was decreased and according to irrigation department water was being supplied 10500 cusec discharge in head of the Nara canal against the required 14000 cusec discharge. When contacted Mir Zafarullah Talpure, president Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter accused that first the irrigation department was supplying the less water discharge in Nara head than required quantity while it had also been failed to remove over 400 illegal pumping machines installed at the both banks of Nara canal in district Khairpur that were the main source of wheat stealing. He further alleged that government had failed to approve the additional water in Nara canal of about 1 lakh acres that had been shifted to Nara canal from Rohri canal in past. He said that water theft had also become common in the command area of Nara canal and concerned authorities remained yet fail to take legal action against the culprits. He deplored that when water was reached in the limit of district Sanghar where also big landlords were allegedly stolen the irrigation water and added that such very less quantity of water was reached in districts Mirpurkhas and Umerkot. He said that if the present shortage of water was remained further a week then cotton sowing will be adversely affected and cotton sowing target might not be achieved in the tail end areas. He urged the higher authorities to take notice and ensure supply of required quantity of water in Nara head, stop the water stealing and remove the illegal pumping machines in the benefit of agriculture sector and common growers. Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher advocate, vice president of Sindh abadgar board SAB district Mirpurkhas chapter said that cotton was cultivated at about 5 lakhs of acres in tail end Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Tharparkar districts. He deplored that if the water supply was not improved in tail end areas then cotton crop will be cultivate at very less acres as result cotton production from this region would be reduced than last year. He said that water was the main source of crop and very less water quantity was entered into the above tail end areas due to open water theft. He said that without stoppage of water stealing, water supply could not be improved in tail end areas. He demanded the secretary irrigation, provincial minister for irrigation, director Nara canal and other authorities to ensure supply of water according to requirement in Nara canal head and stop immediately the water theft by taking drastic measures in this regard. Irrigation official said that efforts are being made to reach the irrigation water till tail end areas and hoped that water supply was improving day by day in Nara canal and added that cotton sowing will not be affected also in future.

MIRPURKHAS April 7. Rally was taken out by health department Mirpurkhas from civil hospital to local press club under world health day here on Thursday. Participators including government officers, doctors, para medical staff and citizens led by EDO health Mirpurkhas Shafqat Dahri , carrying banners and placards marched through main roads and reached at local press club where speaking a the participators EDO health said that unnecessary use of anti biotic medicines might be proved harmful for the life . Regarding polio disease, he said that polio was the dangerous disease and health department was making all out efforts to end it from the society . MIRPURKHAS April 7. About 5 passengers of a Naokot bound van were burnt to death and various were injured in the terrorism incident at Bandi Shakh, near Al Abbas Sugar mill, at Mirpurkhas Digri road here on Thursday. Report said that there was ongoing dispute between two transport groups for running the van service between Mirpurkhas and Naokot. Report added that Van service had been stopped by administration in past while transport group of van had gone to Sindh high court circuit bench Hyderabad that had been ordered for running the van also on Naokot Mirpurkhas rout with separate timings , while transport group of coaster was opposing to run the van at this rout. Report said that a van with 22 passengers and a driver and cleaner left the bus terminal Mirpurkhas for Naokot along with police personnels but as this van reached at the ring road near Chona Factory, unknown armed persons opened fires on it for stoppage but van driver did not stop the van and taken the van in speed out of the range of the armed persons. Driver of the van Safdar Abbasi told the newsmen that as the van reached near Bandi Shakh, 4 unknown armed persons in a Core car no 643 reached there and stopped the van on gun point, dragged out him from the van , tortured him , while he saved his live to hide in nearby shrubs. He further said that armed persons resorted aerial and strait firing at the van and then hurled the kerosene oil on the van and set on fire even did not allow the passengers to come out of the van. He said that about 5 passengers burnt to death, while various passengers sustained burn injuries even saved their lives to take shelter in nearby villages. Armed persons easily escaped away from the spot in their car, he added. Eyewitness Ms Samina , resident of village Kamal Khan Chang, district Badin told that at the time of setting on fire the van, police personnels were also present there. She said that she along with her mother Ms Haleema was traveling in the van as she was sit at the front side and her mother was sit in back seat that as the armed persons stopped the van and dragged out the driver from van, she was also came out from the van and in weeping condition said that armed persons and police personnels did not allow her mother to come out the van during burning the van while she had requested the armed persons in this regard. She said that she saw the scene of burning the passengers including her mother. She identified the skeleton of her mother placed at the seat after burning while about 4 bodies had also been converted into small pieces of woods and powder. Panic was prevailed in the area after this incident and thousands of people from Digri and Mirwah Gorchani town were reached at the spot . DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher, who had also been reached at the spot after receiving the information of this terrorism incident, told the media men that there was dispute between two groups of transporters of van and coasters on the running of van service at Naokot Mirpurkhas route and we had tried to settle their dispute . He further said that this tragedy incident occurred as the van service lauched at this route. He accused that coaster transport group was involved in this incident. He asserted that involved culprits would be arrested after registration of the FIR of this incident. Report said that injured passengers were missing from the spot and they were not reached also at rural health center Mirwah Gorchani town and civil hospital Mirpurkhas. Meanwhile, Mir Zafarullah Talpure, president Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter , talking to newsmen accused that transport mafia was involved in this tragedy incident while district administration should immediately take notice and ensure arresting of the transporters involved in this incident . He urged the authorities to take legal action against the Bhatt mafia of transporters and impose ban on such terrorism like transporters group and their transports. Local leader of Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz JSQM Asghar Mirrani advocate termed this incident as open terrorism incident and strongly condemned of this incident and demanded the immediate apprehending of the involved culprits. No case of this incident was lodged till filing of the news.

Secretary education department has suspended Zulfiqar Ali Shaikh, assistant account officer of EDO education office Mirpurkhas with immediate affect in charges of being allegedly involved in corruption case. Report said that Zulfiqar Ali Shaikh, assistant account officer , ex district officer education secondary Mirpurkhas Mushtaque Ahmed Kaim Khani and ex junior clerk Ghulam Hussain Bajeer had been booked by anti corruption establishment Mirpurkhas in a case no 6/2011 lodged under section u/s 218, 420, 409, 466, 477 and 34 PPC after approval of higher authorities. Report added that above accused had been misappropriated RS 935000 of scholarships funds of the students of 2004. While accused assistant account officer did not maintain accounts and cash book with connivance of other involved officials. Officials of anti corruption establishment ACE circle office Mirpurkhas told that investigation was being made of this case.

MIRPURKHAS March 24. District officer health Mirpurkhas Dr Ashfaque Ahmed has said that TB disease was a dangerous disease that was created with micro bacterium tuberculosis germs and added that 68000 people each year were died of TB disease in the country. He was addressing at the seminar held here on Thursday on mark of world TB day that was attended by doctors, lady health workers and Para medical staff. He said that TB patient was early healthy if his treatment was made at the time. He said that this disease was shifted to other person immediately and it was mostly affected to lungs. He said that it was also affected to all the parts of the body including backbone, joints and brain. He said that its complete course was of 8 months and added that poor people were mostly affected of it. Those also spoke Dr Yaqoob, district TB coordinator Dr Javed Mari and Dr Manthar Thebo. Later rally was also taken out in this regard from Para medical and health technician school to main gate of civil hospital Mirpurkhas in which participators of seminars attended the rally.Besides, in Sanghar, a walk was also taken out by district health department Sanghar from EDO health office Sanghar to civil hospital Sanghar. MIRPURKHAS March 24. District and sessions court Mirpurkhas has been ordered to free 7 peasants (bonded labours) here on Thursday after recording their statements. Report said that Ramchand Oad had been submitted the application in the sessions court , complaining that his 7 relatives were working as peasant at the lands of landlord Manthar Rajar , in the limit of Phuladyyoon police station, while they were forced to labour work while not being paid their wages or share in crops by above landlord . He said that they were deprived of health facilities and requested the session’s judge to order to concern SHO for releasing detained peasants. SHO Phuladyyoon carried out raid and recovered the detained 7 peasants including Dharshi, Soni etc. Released peasants were produced in the session’s court by Phuladyyoon police.

MIRPURKHAS March 24. More than 40 houses of peasants in village Waryam Narejo, in the limit of Naoabad police station of district Sanghar were completely gutted of fire on Thursday evening. Report received that fire broke out in a house that engulfed the other houses as result about 40 houses were completely ablaze. Fire brigade of Sindhri, Naoabad and Sanghar were reached at the spot to extinguish the fire. However wheat stock, seeds of crops, house articles, gold and silver ornaments and other goods were completely burnt to ashes, while peasants could save their lives and their cattles from dangerous fire. The names of the affected peasants could not be ascertained. However after hectic efforts of 3 hours, fire was extinguished by fire fighters, report said. The affected peasants were sitting in open sky without any help of district government Sanghar.

MIRPURKHAS March 23. Cotton sowing in the tail end districts of lower Nara canal command area might be late due to sudden shortfall in Nara canal. Report said that cotton sowing will be started from April 1 and cotton growers are busy to prepare their agriculture lands with the help of modern machinery to sow the cotton crop. However, it might be late as water supply has been decreased till 7800 cusec water discharge from 9000 cusec in Nara canal head owing to shortfall in Sukkur barrage. Irrigation department sources further said that during last some day’s water supply was decreased day by day as result acute shortage was created in tail end districts Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Tharparkar of the lower Nara canal command area. Sources further said that there was required 14000 cusec water discharge in Nara canal head. When contacted Mir Zafarullah Talpure, president Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter has expressed grave concern over the shortage of irrigation water in tail end above districts as result cotton sowing might be affected adversely as it was starting from April 1. He said that about 50 percent water shortage persisting in the command area of the Nara canal and if it was remained further a week, then cotton sowing will be delayed. He demanded the provincial minister for irrigation, secretary irrigation and director Nara canal to take notice of acute shortage of water in tail end areas and ensure supply of required quantity of water to enable the growers to sow cotton at the time for getting more than cotton production.

MIRPURKHAS March 23. Taluka municipal administration TMA Mirpurkhas has launched anti roaming dog campaign on union council level in the city and advised the citizens to keep their pet dogs indoor. MIRPURKHAS March 22. A married woman was axed to death by her father in Karokari in village Qazi Sahib, near Mirwah Gorchani town here on Tuesday. Report said that accused Abdul Hakeem Manganhar has axed to death his daughter Arbabzadi, 20. Deceased body was brought at civil hospital for post mortem. Taluka police have arrested the accused and recovered involved axe from his pointation. Accused told the newsmen that marriage of his daughter had already been with his nephew but she had illegal relations with other person.

MIRPURKHAS March 22. Few villages and agriculture lands were inundated under the irrigation water when breach about 20 feet wide was developed suddenly in Doulatpur minor fed by Jamrao canal near Mirwah Gorchani town. Research experts of cotton crop have advised the cotton growers to buy the certified cotton seed and cultivate the cotton at the proper time that was started from April 1, as in early sowing the crop plant will not be properly grown. Speakers Rafique Ahmed Bilal, research officer of cotton research station Tando Jam, district officer agriculture extension Mirpurkhas Yar Mohammad Khaskheli and assistant district officer agriculture extension Mirpurkhas Abdul Jabbar Memon were delivering their lectures in the seminar “Cultivation of grow more cotton crop”, held in Kaim Khani hall at Jhuddo town on Tuesday that was attended by scores of landlords and growers of taluka Jhuddo. They further advised to prepare their lands for cotton crop properly with modern machinery and get soil test for use of proper fertilization. They further advised that proper use of irrigation water was must for cotton crop. They asked them that they should use the pesticide with consultation of concerned field staff of agriculture department. They said that if they found any spurious fertilization and pesticide at any place point out to field staff and concerned agriculture officer for taking legal action. They advised also to sow the varieties of Tando Jam cotton research station including Sindh-1, Ufaq, Malmal and Cris.Representatives of growers associations Khalid Pervez Sadaf, Mohammad Aslam Kaim Khani, ex nazim union council Jhuddo, Mohammad Ramzan and Ali Nawaz Nondgani apprised their grievances and complained that substandard cotton seed was being sold in taluka Jhuddo and concerned government officials should take action in this regard. They regretted that there was remained also shortage of irrigation water in their taluka as their taluka was situated in tail end of Nara canal system as result mostly their crops were damaged due to non availability of the irrigation water. District officer agriculture extension Mirpurkhas Yar Mohammad Khaskheli told the growers that after receiving the complaints of selling the sub standard cotton seed in taluka Jhuddo, he had been furnished the letter to director general agriculture extension Hyderabad after which director agriculture farm and major crops development Sindh Hyderabad has been addressed the letter to regional director federal seed certificate and registration department for taking samples of suspected cotton seed from the local market and take legal action against involved sellers, however no action was yet appeared in this regard. He said that field staff of agriculture department was remained in contact with growers and growers should consult with them for cultivation of cotton and other crops.

MIRPURKHAS March 22. Transporters Naved Iqbal, Tyyab Yaseen and Mohammad Tyyab of Transport Ittihad Mirpurkhas have threatened of launching protest campaign including blocking the main Mirpurkhas Mithi road if the district administration did not give permission to bring their vans at their routs from Mirpurkhas to Naokot till March 25. Addressing at a joint press conference held here on Tuesday at local press club. They said that they were run their 36 vans at Mirpurkhas Naokot route for providing cheap and comfortable travel facility but unfortunately district administration Mirpurkhas including secretary Regional transport authority with connivance of owners of the coasters had been imposed ban about 6 months back without any cause , while despite their efforts to bring their vans at their routs but police and influential owners of the coasters did not allow them to run their vans. They further told that they later filed petition in the Sindh high court Hyderabad circuit that passed an order on February 3, 2011 to run coasters and their vans with separate timings. But, they lamented that district administration Mirpurkhas avoided or neglected that order. They alleged that they were not being allowed to run their van after receiving alleged heavy bribe. They said that they were now facing financial crisis as their business of transport was lying closed for last 6 months. They demanded the chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh and other authorities to take immediate notice into this matter, ensure running of their vans at their routs otherwise they would be compelled to launch protest campaign from March 25 and will block the main Mirpurkhas Mithi road and DCO Mirpurkhas, DPO Mirpurkhas and Secretary RTA Mirpurkhas would be responsible of any untoward incident.

MIRPURKHAS March 22. An elderly man was died in the emergency ward of civil hospital Mirpurkhas here on Tuesday owing to alleged inefficiency and lake of attention of the doctors and staff whiles his relatives and villagers have held protest demonstation in the premises of the civil hospital. Report said that villagers from village Khadim Ali Shah was brought 70 years old Mansook Bheel in emergency of the civil hospital for medical treatment but he was died after some time. His relatives and villagers staged demonstration to protest against doctors and staff’s inefficiency and lake of attention. Leader Kanji Rano Bheel said that there was no arrangement of facilities for patients in civil hospital and accused that without treatment villager Mansook Bheel was died in emergency ward. Civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain and medical officer Dr Nasrullah Gill told that Mansook Bheel was brought in emergency ward with condition of brain death and with no plus and no blood pressure. While, he was died due to his serious condition. They demanded the district administration to provide the protection to doctors and staffs from aggressive behave of the attenders of the patients.

Ms Sakina Shah wife of Syed Rasool Shah , resident of village Sher Shah, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad has accused that on Dec 28, 2010 his husband Syed Rasool Shah was seriously injured in the murderous attack at Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road near bus terminal and he sustained serious head injuries and still admitted in civil hospital Karachi in serious condition while FIR was lodged of this incident with Old Mirpur police station against the accused Saleem Shaikh alias Saleem Shuaee and Saleem Arain on the complaint of Syed Kausar Shah , little brother of his husband. Addressing at a press conference here on Monday, she told that nominated accused blackmailed his husband on the base of different pretext after that her husband had also been furnished the application to district and sessions judge Mirpurkhas and chief of army staff on July 7, 2010. She expressed that Shehzad Arain was shown as supporter of his husband but he was informer of above nominated accused and they jointly made plan to kill his husband. She said that under their plan his husband Syed Rasool Shah was on his way near bus terminal at Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road that they attacked upon him with iron rod and other arms as result he sustained serious brain and head injuries and still admitted in hospital in serious condition. She said that unfortunately complainant of the FIR of this incident Syed Kausar Shah had reportedly been created contacts with nominated accused and after taking bribe from them he was not taking interest in the case. She accused that brothers of his husband was not allowing her to meet with her husband in hospital even spoiling the case after getting allegedly bribe. She said that Shehzad was the master mind of this conspiracy and issuing her threats of dire consequences on cell phone and he warned her not to include in this case otherwise she will face difficulties. She said that her husband informed her about blackmailers and his opponents. She further said that her life is in danger now and she was being restrained to pursue the case of her husband in the court. She demanded the provincial police officer, RPO Hyderabad , DIG Mirpurkhas and DPO Mirpurkhas to immediately provide her protection and take legal action against conspirators and to allow her to pursue the case of her husband in the court.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 24. Four persons of a family including three women were brutally gunned down near Fazal chowk in Satellite town here on Monday on Karo Kari charges . while police have apprehended the accused along with involved arms near Jarwari Shakh when he was fleeing out from the city. Report said that accused Zahir Ali Jamali, resident of Shahdadkot was presently residing along with his wife Shahzia in upper story of the house while his mother in law Ms Shahzadi along with her daughter and sons was residing in the ground floor. They had come here from Shahdadkot about 6 months back after flood condition there. Accused Zahir Ali Jamali has killed his wife Shahzia, 25, mother in law Shehzadi, 50, brother in law Mohammad Amir, 35 and sister in law Ms Naseema, 21. with fires of his TT pistol. Soon after this incident, accused along with his 2 years old son left the house. Hundreds of people after hearing the voices of fires gathered at the spot. SHO town Mir Mohammad Mangrio reached at the spot and shifted the deceased bodies to civil hospital for autopsy. Report said that a constable Ibrahim Narejo during this has arrested the accused Zahir Ali Jamali from Jarwari Shakh while fleeing out from the city and recovered also from his possession a TT pistol. Report added that when this incident occurred flag march of law enforcing agencies led by DPO Mirpurkhas was ongoing and passing in the Satellite town. Police have also recovered in search a gun from the residence of the accused. Learnt that accused had suspected on his wife for having illegal relations with some others and in this connection, dispute had also been occurred between wife and husband. The situation of the deceased boides recovered from the house showed that deceased had tried to save themselves by going out from the house but unfortunately their efforts failed and they were made target by the accused. Panic was spread in entire area of Satellite town. Post mortem of the deceased was continued till filing of the news.

He said that few weeks ago, a delegation of MQM Mirpurkhas zone comprising Dr Zafar Ahmed Kamali and MPA Faheem Ahmed Altafi had negotiations with Hesco chief and complained of ongoing unannounced pro long load shedding in urban city Mirpurkhas while Hesco chief agreed to reduce the load shedding for 6 hours in the urban city Mirpurkhas but despite his promise, citizens were facing pro long 12 hours load shedding as result unrest and resentment were prevailing among the masses. He deplored that if the same condition remained continue masses would be taken out at the streets in protest. He asked the hesco chief to implement on his promise and reduced the pro long load shedding of power at Mirpurkhas without any delay. He further said that low pressure of Sui gas was also being supplied in the city Mirpurkhas causing hardships to the people. He expressed that people were complaining to MQM Mirpurkhas zone for taking notice of unannounced long load shedding and low pressure supply of the Sui gas. He demanded the higher authorities of Sui Southern Gas Company SSGC to take immediate notice and ensure supply of Sui gas with proper pressure in the city to end the grievances of the citizens.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 19. Food department Mirpurkhas was excessing with Chaki owners as a bag of wheat is being sold to chaki owner in high rate than flour mill while the 98 percent are chakis to provide the flour on door step to the masses. These allegations were leveled by Abdul Rasheed Abbasi, President Aata Chaki association district Mirpurkhas chapter, vice chairman Abdul Waheed Khan and vice president Mohammad Rafi Malik, in a joint press statement issued here on Wednesday. They deplored that food department was selling through challan a bag of wheat of RS 2550 to chaki owner while same wheat bag is being sold at RS 2437 to flour mill owners as result chaki owners were suffering even poor masses were compelled to buy the flour at high rate. They expressed that despite having a uniform policy of government but unfortunately food department was implementing on double standard policy in issuing the subsidized quota of wheat to flour mills and chaki.They said that we had submitted an application on Dec 14, 2010 to secretary food department complaining him of double standard policy of food department, while secretary food assured them that bag of wheat will be sale to flour mill also at RS 2550, but suddenly, on Jan 17, food department Mirpurkhas again started to sale the wheat bag at Rs 2437.50 per bag to flour mill owners which record is present in National bank of Pakistan Mirpurkhas branches.They demanded the president Asif Ali Zardari, prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Sindh chief minister, minister for food , secretary food and other concerned authorities to take immediate notice of injustice with chaki owners and provide justice by taking drastic immediate measures and action against the concerned involved officials of food department Mirpurkhas.

He said that it was the old demand of this taluka that has been fulfilled today with the special support of his wife MNA Faryal Talpure as with her request, President Asif Ali Zardari ordered to release its funds. He said that this plant was installed with cost of RS 30 crors. He added that administration has acquired the land of agriculture department to install this plant here no any person was ready to give his land for this important project. He announced that he will efforts to install Air mix LPG gas plant also at Digri, Tando Jan Mohammad, Jhuddo and Samaro towns. He deplored that more than funds of the Sindh government as well as federal government had been expended to provide relief to the flood affected people in the country as result shortage of funds had been created to government, However very soon now funds would again be available for launching the development schemes in the province. He said that all the political parties were cooperating with government to run it with success and hoped that PPP democratic government will complete its 5 years tenure. He asked the workers and voters of the PPP to start their preparation for elections.Managing director Sui southern gas company SSGC Faizullah Abbasi said that as the government provided funds we approached to an American company for importing this plant and it was arrived here in July 2010 through ship and the company installed it till Oct 2010 in short period. He said that pipe lines were laid till 55 kilometers long in the area and sofar applications for connections have been received 97 from Mir Ki Landhi and 250 from Kot Ghulam Mohammad town. He said that we had been installed such kind of plant at Gawadar , Noshki situated in Balochistan and 2 in Punjab province and they were being run with success, while he expressed that it was the first plant installed here in the Sindh province. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon said that now people of Kot Ghulam Mohammad town, village Mir Ki Landhi, village Mir Fazlullah Talpure and village Mir Gul Hassan Talpure would get benefit of this plant. He requested the people to pay its bill to run this plant with success that will be an example in the Sindh province. Dozens of minority people belong to taluka Mirpurkhas have held demonstration here on Thursday outside the local press club to protest against the police failure to recover the kidnapped government dispenser Moti Ram. Protesters led by Madan, son of hostage Moti Ram, carried banners and placards raised slogans against the police while they blocked also the main Mirpurkhas Hyderabad road for an hour as result vehicular traffic was suspended. On this occasion, Madan told the newsmen that his father had left village near Old Mipur for village Dost Mohammad Dars to attend his job on bike on Wednesday morning but he did not reach at his job as in the way near village Shah Bux Lashari at Mirpurkhas Sindhri road near saline drain unknown dacoits allegedly kidnapped him in the car while his motor cycle was recovered from saline drain. He said that it was the incident of kidnapping but police were avoiding registering the case even despite passing 24 hours no progress was yet made by the police. He said that DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher had also reached at the spot and also met with him and his relatives and assured that hostage will soon be recovered. He urged the authorities to take immediate notice and ensure registration of kidnapping case and recover the hostage and arrest the involved culprits. Later, SPO city Ayub Dars reached there and negotiated with the protesters and assured them of registration of their case after which they dispersed peacefully.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. Vice president of Sindh abadgar board district Mirpurkhas chapter Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher and progressive landlord of taluka Kunri Mian Mohammad Saleem have demanded the government not to impose ban on export of onion crop as only Sindh province was fulfilling the requirements of onion of the country while onion was also being exported to India and Middle east from Sindh. They were talking to newsmen here on Thursday. They expressed that this year onion crop in Sindh was bumper crop and onion growers were getting reasonable price of their crop but some persons wanted to impose ban on export of onion by government under a conspiracy. They said that according to Sindh crop assessment department onion crop production was expected 6 and half lakhs tons in the Sindh province this year as onion averagely 80 to 100 bags of 120 kilogrammes per bag are producing from an acre and at this time Indian onion crop was late and onion crop in Punjab was also late one month as result onion from Sindh was exporting to India through Wahga and Middle east through ship while requirements of onion of the whole country was also being fulfilled the Sindh province owing to bumper crop. They urged the government to make unsuccessful the conspiracy of some persons to impose ban on onion export while national exchequer was also achieving to country in export of onion and reasonable price RS 3500 per bag was also getting the onion growers in the province.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. A local senior journalist was fortunately escaped unhurt in the murderous attack by three armed persons here on Thursday evening at Market chowk. Report said that Afaq Ahmed Khan, correspondent of a daily English newspaper and a TV channel was on his way that three armed persons intercepted him and one of them opened strait fire upon him but fortunately he was saved unhurt. However one of the attacker was captured by the people when he was fleeing from the spot while two of them managed to escaped from the spot. Arrested culprit was identified as Abdul Nasir Khan and citizens later handed over him to town police. Victim journalist Afaq Ahmed Khan has lodged the case with town police station of attempt to murder and issuing threats of killing against the accused Abdul Nasir Khan, Saleem Malik alias Saleem Shuaee and an unknown person.Later victim journalist Afaq Ahmed Khan told the newsmen at town police station that accused Abdul Nasir Khan was the ring leader of the criminal gange and Saleem Malik alias Saleem Shuaee was the member of his gang. He said that about a dozen heinous crimes cases had already been registered against the ring leader Abdul Nasir Khan at different police stations of the district while he was the notorious cheater and fraudi of Mirpurkhas and those innocent had been affected with him in past had also been lodged cases against him. He said that today he was first warned by him that why he sent the application to the apex court against him and his gangsters and then attacked upon him.Soon after this incident, emergent meeting of Mirpurkhas union of journalist and National press club Mirpurkhas have strongly condemned the murderous attack upon the senior journalist and president of Mirpurkhas union of journalist. Joint meeting was presided over by Hashim Shar, has demanded the government to take immediate notice of this incident provide protection to local journalists and ensure the arresting of the involved culprits and punish them exemplary.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. Officials of Phuladyyoon police came under armed attack when they carried out raid at the village of Mari caste people near Samaro Shakh Mori on the secret information for arresting the criminals on Thursday early morning. Report said that on a tip off, regarding the presence of wanted criminals , Phuladyyoon police in police vain conducted raid but some villagers as saw the police party opened indiscriminate firing on the police party but fortunately all the officials were escaped unhurt however bullets were penetrated into the body of the police vain. Police party after this attack came back from the village and then on behalf of state case attempt to murder and strait indiscriminate firing upon police party was lodged with Phuladyyoon police station against the accused Gullo Mari, Rahim Mari, Mumtaz Mari ,Bhongar Mari and a unknown person. Project of rehabilitation of irrigation channels that have farmer organizations of Nara canal under the world bank funding has been launched as first of all 100 such irrigation channels had been chosed and process of the project “water sector improvement project WSIP-1” of Sindh irrigation and drainage authority SIDA was underway with full swing, while added that this project has age of 5 years. This was stated by Engineer Ghulam Mustufa Ujjan, deputy general manager of the project, while talking to the local news man here on Wednesday. He said that aims of this project were to rehabilitate the water channels with quality work and according to standard and also empowering the local growers and decentralization of the powers. He further said that under this project work of rehabilitation of channels, earth work, desilting , Jangal clearance, repairs of modules , rehabilitation of head regulators , construction of village road bridges and foot bridges , construction of washing Ghat for women, buffalows vallows and construction of offices of farmer organizations. He said that concerned farmer organizations would supervise or execute the rehabilitation work of those water channels that allocation had been made till RS 80 lakhs while SIDA officers and engineers would execute the work with allocation of over RS 80 lakhs of the water channels. He said that first of all supervision and execution work of 3 water channels Karna, Boilo and Kandiaro minor of Thar canal had been handed over to concerned farmer organizations as signatures ceremony on the agreement was held at Mirpurkhas on Dec 14 in which office bearers of concerned FOs and managing director SIDA Mohammad Ahsan Leghari made signatures on the agreement. He told that concerned FO have also been opened their bank accounts and now they were hiring engineers and accountants for starting the work on the site. He said that process of this project of 28 water channels with allocation of fund about RS 12 crors have also been initiated through national bidding as letters to concerned contractors have also been issued for starting the work on site. He told that among 28 water channels, 5 channels belong to Mithrao canal, 18 belong to upper Nara canal and 5 belong to Jamrao canal. He said that site work would be started at channels during the annual closure of the Nara canal for desilting and repair purpose to be scheduled on Jan 6, 2011.He said that it was the comprehensive project for improvement of irrigation system and success of this project mostly depend on the farmer organizations as they would be independent to work freely without any intervention of the officials. He said that offices of farmer organizations would be constructed and furniture will also be provided to run matters of channels properly.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 29. Dandi cut longi chili rate has been increased due to less arrival of the production in the Kunri Chili Mandi that was the biggest chili market of the country. Report received that some days ago, rate of Dandi cut Longi chili was RS 7500 to 8000 per maund but owing to declining of the production of Chili its rate has been suddenly increased till RS 9500 to 9700 per maund. Mohammad Mubeen, shopkeeper of a chili shop of Kunri chili Mandi told this scribe that owing to less arrival of chili in the Kunri chili Mandi prices of the Longi chili that was a unique quality of this region has been high . He said that in present season daily 3000 bags to 4000 bags of Longi chili were arrived daily in the market that was less arrival while last year 8000 bags to 10000 bags were arrived daily in the local market . He said that Longi chili crop was arrived in the Kunri Mandi from Shadi Palli, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Umerkot, Jahiro Farm, Nabisar, Samaro, Kunri, Dhoronaro, Mithi, Digri, Jhuddo , Tando Jan Mohammad, Naokot etc. Chili grower of Kunri taluka Mian Mohammad Saleem told that owing to heavy rainfall chili crop was adversely affected even it was damaged badly as result its production in this region was reduced that affected its rate as result its prices have been very high , however, he said that National level companies were buying the Longi chili from Kunri chili Mandi to run their factories and its less production will affect the whole province particularly.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 29. A youth was seriously injured when a poultry farm owner allegedly opened fires upon him near Ummehani town, in front of Sattari cotton and ginning factory in the limit of Satellite town police station here on Wednesday. Report said that Abdul Rahim Pathan along with his friend Ghulam Rasool was on his way that a dog of poultry farm disturbed Abdul Rahim Pathan and tried to bite him on which he exchanged hot words with owners of the poultry farm while in reaction Mohammad Yousuf, poultry farm owner allegedly opened fires as result he sustained two bullet injuries , rushed to emergency of civil hospital where he was provided first aid and then shifted to male surgical ward of the hospital. Doctors said that his condition was out of danger. The accused fled away from the spot after this incident. Satellite town police have lodged the case of attempt to murder under section 324, 504 and 34 PPC against the accused Mohammad Yousuf and an unknown on the complaint of Abdul Hakeem Pathan, father of the injured youth. However no accused was yet lodged till filing of the news.

A private dispenser Moti Ram Kolhi was going towards his private clinic on his bike from Old Mirpur here on Wednesday morning that he was disappeared suddenly and his bike was recovered from saline drain, in the limit of Dilber Maher police station. Learnt that he was kidnapped by three unknown armed bandits in a car near village Shah Bux Leghari at Sindhri Mirpurkhas road. SPO Sindhri Pir Allah Rakhio Qureshi told that his relatives and police were searching of the missing above person and it was not confirmed that he was kidnapped. He said that no case of this incident was lodged with concerned police station sofar.

SPO Sindhri Pir Allah Rakhio has said that Hindu businessman Ajay Kumar who was kidnapped from Samaro Mori stop near Hingorno town a week ago has been recovered after encounter of phuladdyyoon police with dacoits in forest near Girhor Shareef. Talking to this correspondent here on Wednesday, he said that he had been kidnapped by unknown dacoits while during this he also approached to his friend and his father on cell phone. However, he said that on a tip off, heavy contingents of police surrounded the suspected area and after brief encounter, dacoits fled away to leave the hostage Akay Kumar. He denied of paying the ransom for his releasing.

Report said that few weeks back, following regular supply of sugar cane crop to mills by growers and crushing the sugar cane according to capacity by sugar mills, rate of sugar had been decreased at RS 68 per Kilogramme after proper production of sugar in the mills . But now sugar mills have increased the rate of its production sugar as result automatically wholesalers increased the price RS 2 per kilogramme and shopkeepers in retail selling the sugar at RS 71 per kilogramme. Talking to newsmen president Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter Mir Zafarullah Talpure has strongly condemned the owners of the sugar mills for declining the sugar cane procurement rate and increasing the rate of sugar production. He deplored that federal government was not taking action against the sugar mills as they had established their monopoly and simultaneously decreased the rate of procurement of sugar cane RS 175 per 40 kilogramme to RS 200 per 40 kilogramme, while on the other hand, he accused that sugar mills managements instead to decrease the rate of sugar due to regular production of sugar but has been increased the sugar rate as result citizens were forced to suffer additional burden for buying the sugar . They asserted that they would not allow to anyone to amend it. They demanded the government to withdraw the bill regarding amendment in this law presented by Shereen Rehman in the National assembly. They warned that their protest campaign will remained continue till withdrawal of this amendment bill. They announced that like other areas of the country, on Dec 31 complete strike will be observed at Mirpurkhas in protest.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. Kashif Mari, resident of Kharpara has lodged the case with town police station here on Friday of attempt to murder and issuing the threats of killing. Complainant accused that one Mohammad Kamran had allegedly fired upon him to kill but fortunately he was escaped unhurt, while he was standed outside his house. The accused managed to escape from the spot. He added that above accused had also been aerial firing outside his house a day back.

President Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter Mir Zafarullah Talpure has strongly condemned the sugar mills managements to decrease the rate of sugar cane from RS 200 per 40 kilogramme to RS 175 per 40 kilogramme while day by day sugar rate was increasing in the country . Talking to local news man on Friday, he accused that sugar mill owners have been setup their monopoly to earn more than benefit as they had declined or decrease the rate of sugarcane while selling their sugar in the market on high rate. He said that sugar cane growers were supplying their cane regularly to end the no cane condition of the sugar mills as result now all the sugar mills in the district Mirpurkhas are crushing the cane daily over 1 lakhs maund according to their capacity. He said that rate RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes was already less against the expenses or input of the cane crop as result growers were deprived of reasonable price of the cane. He added that while wood was also being sold over RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes in the country and sugar mills owners should buy the cane at least RS 300 per 40 kilogrammes but they deliberately decreased the rate simultaneously as result now growers were compelled to supply the cane at RS 175 per 40 kilogrammes and such , he added that they were suffering loss in selling the cane in less rate. He urged the growers to create unity and demanded the government to force the sugar mills to decrease the sugar rate in benefit of the masses.He strongly condemned the Sindh revenue department as deserve flood affected abadgars had been deprived of subsidized fertilizers and seeds provided by the Sindh government for flood affected growers . He said that recently five revenue officials were suspended by DCO Thatta in charges to deprive the genuine flood affected abadgars of subsidized fertilizers and seeds while undeserved people were provided the fertilizers and seeds. He criticized the revenue department as Sindh government had been provided the fertilizers and seeds for deserves flood affected abadgars in the province but revenue officials had distributed the fertilizers and seeds to undeserved people and their favorites as result genuine flood affected abadgars were deprived of their rights even they might not cultivate the crop at their lands in the flood affected areas. He called the Sindh chief minister and governor Sindh to take immediate notice and ensure distribution of subsidized fertilizers and seeds among the genuine flood affected growers without any delay sothat they could survive in their areas.

A group of citizens led by Khadim Halepota have held demonstration at Hingorno town to protest against not registration of kidnapping case and recovery of the abductee by police. Report added that on Wednesday evening Ajay Kumar, a young businessman had heared a cell phone call and as came away some distance of his shop at Samaro Mori stop that unknown car occupants forcibly kidnapped him in a car and taken him to unknown destination soon after this, all the shops were closed in protest and dozens of protesters held demonstration led by Khadim Halepota to protest against local police. They were demanding the authorities to immediately register the kidnapping case and arrest the involved culprits and recover the abductee. No case of this incident was yet lodged with Phuladyyoon police station till filing of the report. When contacted SPO Sindhri Pir Allah Rakhyo said that it was not kidnapping incident as Ajay Kumar himself went to unknown destination from where he telephoned also his friend and then his father and apprised that he was being taken by unknown persons towards Shahdadpur town, district Sanghar. He said that no victim’s relative came to concerned police station to register the case of this incident.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 23. Misappropriation cases of lakhs of rupees in account of admission fee and tuition fee by officials of different colleges were detected by regional director colleges Mirpurkhas during the checking of the official records while various embezzled amount was deposited by the officials after being forced by the authority during last a month . Talking to local news man here on Thursday , regional director colleges Mirpurkhas Abdul Aziz Panhwer said that he had caught embezzlement cases of different colleges in the region and forced the officials to deposite the missing amount in government account otherwise legal action will be taken against them after which various embezzled amount was deposited in the government account. He said that principal of the government Modal college Mirpurkhas had been free illegally the tution, admission and private fund fees in first term of the students of first and second years classes while after being forced by him the principal of the above college deposited the total fee RS 63500 in the government account. He further said that a clerk of government degree boys college Tando Jan Mohammad had been misappropriated the fees of students of first year and intermediate classes of RS 77600 , while he caught misappropriation during record checking and as brought the corruption matter on the record involved clerk immediately deposited the embezzled money RS 77600.He said that Khan Mohammad Khoso, clerk of Government girls degree college Umerkot had been misappropriated the different fee money RS 380000 while he deplored that an influential personality of the region was allegedly supporting the above clerk despite this he forced the involved clerk to deposit the embezzled money otherwise he will face stern legal action after which he said that influential personality took his surety and gain few weeks time and added that now above misappropriated government money RS 380000 have been deposited in the government account. He expressed that another misappropriation case was caught during record checking at Government degree boys college Tando Jan Mohammad where he said that clerk Mubashar had been embezzled RS 103339 of admission, tution and other fee of the students and said that at that time Ahsan Qadir was the principal of the college while he said that involved clerk Mubashar is on leave as had gone to Punjab and added that present principal Abbas Kaim Khani has taken surety that as he will rejoin his duty he will deposite the embezzled money in the government account. He said that he was making efforts to remove the corruption by taking drastic measures.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 23. MQM leader Altaf Hussain had more than practical struggle for the rights of Sindh and was busy to remove the differences of the different communities of the Sindh province by his message of peace and love. This was stated by Siraj Rajput, leader of MQM, while speaking at the general workers meeting of MQM here on Thursday. He said that MQM public meeting at Bhit Shah will bring near the people of Sindh and the conspiracies being hatched to divide the Sindhi people would be ended with efforts of MQM leader. He advised the workers and supporters to participate in large quantity into the convention and public meeting of MQM at Bhit Shah on Dec 25. He said that MQM was struggling against the feudal system and masses were joining the MQM throughout country after being impressed with message of leader Altaf Hussain. He hoped that Sindhi people would participate in large quantity in the MQM public meeting at Bhit Shah. Member zonal committee MQM Mirpurkhas Dr Zafar Kamali also spoke the meeting.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 23. Citizens are facing great difficulties due to failure of traffic system in the city as result main roads were remained mostly jammed even pedestrians faced hardships owing to illegal encroachments. Report said that despite being the traffic police, traffic remained jammed at the M.A.Jinnah road, Sir Syed road, Mirwah road, Grain market road, Shahi Bazaar road; etc owing to illegal encroachments had been established by influential persons. Report said that illegal encroachers had support of the officials of TMA Mirpurkhas. Owing to encroachments vehicles might not be flow smoothly at the above roads while main hurdle in smooth flow of vehicles was also illegal parking of vehicles at the above roads. Social leader Kamran Kaim Khani, Citizens Furqan Ahmed, Mohammad Saad, Mohammad Aamir, Khurram and others have strongly condemned the illegal encroachments in the city particularly at the main roads. Talking to newsmen they deplored that no authority was feeling the difficulties of the masses and concerned authorities were away to take any legal action against those had been established illegal encroachments and violating the traffic rules. They regretted that they had been complained to concerned authorities in this regard but no action was yet appeared against the violators of traffic laws and illegal encroachers. They expressed that there had been established anti encroachments cell in TMA Mirpurkhas for removing illegal encroachments but that cell was lying silence. They demanded the higher authorities to take immediate notice of negligence of concerned authorities and ensure removal of illegal encroachments in the city as well as implementation on the traffic laws.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 15. Food technology laboratory that had been constructed in the premises of Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas was lying unfunction as it was put in the project for saving the wastage of 75 percent Mango crop by producing juice or pulp of the fruit. Report said that in the tenure of ex Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim , project with estimated cost of RS 50 millions was prepared in 2002 for construction of food technology laboratory along with 4 bungalows, 8 quarters and a seminar hall but due to unknown causes it was not implemented at the time and later authorities releases its funds and constructed the buildings of the above project. While only seminar hall was lying incomplete. The aims to establish the food technology laboratory was to produce pulp of Mango for exporting because of due to lake of knowledge and short implementation on post harvest treatment of mango crop , 75 percent of mango production was wastage each year and with preparing the pulp the mango fruit will completely be utilized properly as its pulp will be export saving it’s wastage in huge quantity. However the above laboratory was tested by authorities but it was lying unfunction without season of Mango crop. Director Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas Dr Atta Hussain Soomro, when asked him about not function of the laboratory, he said that officially we could not run this laboratory regularly as there were various difficulties to run it because he can not arrange the huge quantity of mango fruit as the Mango orchard of this institute was already given on contract and expressed that private companies and contractors could run it regularly with success. He further said that there was required 5 to 7 tons of mango fruit daily for its function regularly that was very difficult for government department. He expressed that different kinds of pulp of fruits were being produced by India for exporting. He told that Sindhri Mango is not proper for pulp and Langra mango is appropriate for pulp production here and added that mango kind Alfanso was being used for pulp in India as India was advanced in producing pulp of mango. He said that he has been furnished proposal to government to give this laboratory on lease or contract for its regular function. He further said that only private contractor could available the required huge quantity of mango daily basis for exporting mango pulp or juice. He told that representatives of Pakola and Pepsi companies had been approached to him for getting the laboratory on lease. He said that we could get pulp and juice of other fruits with changing of wire networking of the machinery of the laboratory.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Board of intermediate and secondary education BISE Mirpurkhas has announced that supplementary exam of intermediate class will be held from Dec 29, 2010 while practical exam will be held on Jan 17, 2011. Said a handout while girls and boys candidates of Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, and Umerkot and Tharparkar districts have been advised to contact their colleges for further information.Besides, BISE Mirpurkhas announced that last date of submitting the farm of 9^th and 10^th classes for annual examination 2011 has been fixed Dec 28 while examination farms with late fee might be submitted till Jan 26, 2011.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Social leader Kamran Kaim Khani has called upon the president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry to take immediate notice of killing of merit in recruitment of revenue officials (Tapedar) in the Sindh province and provide justice to 207 deserved youths who had been passed the IBA exam and also succeeded in one year training. Speaking at the press conference held here on Sunday at local press club. He said that after publishing advertisement for recruitment for vacate posts of Tapedar, about 18000 candidates had been submitted their application in 2007 and they were appeared in the written test taken by IBA while 436 candidates were succeeded after which they were appeared in viva test in which 278 candidates were announced succeeded. He told that in 2008, they took training in Tapedar training college Hyderabad and after one year training 207 candidates of them were passed in the training. He said that director of settlements survey and land recorded Sindh had been announced their result as passed training 207 candidates. He deplored that they were still not provided their pass certificates by the concerned revenue department even they were deprived of jobs. He said that 637 seats of Tapedars were lying vacate in Sindh province but present Sindh government was making injustice with them as recruiting its favorites on those posts directly without any test, interview and training. He said that about 423 favorites of Sindh government had been issued offer letters despite fulfilling legal proceeding of revenue law. He further said that deserved 207 candidates who had been passed one year training had also been observed token hunger strike in protest at Karachi about 4 months back to protest against government failure to give their share of jobs while he added that advisor to Sindh chief minister Jameel Ahmed Soomro, Waqar Mehdi and Sharmeela Farooque had ended their hunger strike with assurance that they would soon be acquired their posting orders. He said that despite passing 4 months to the promises of the above advisors to Sindh chief minister, deserved candidates were still deprived of their jobs. He urged the higher authorities to take notice, provide them justice by issuing them their posting orders without any delay.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. No cane condition of sugar mills in the district have been ended following supplying regularly the sugarcane to mills by growers while sugar mills were buying the cane at RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes. Report said that Mirpurkhas, Al Abbas, Tharparkar and Digri sugar mills were crushing the cane in the district as the mills offered rate RS 200 per 40 kilogramme to the landlords, growers have resumed the harvesting of the standed cane and supplying the crop to mills without any interval as result no cane condition has now been ended in the mills and they were crushing of cane according to their capacity. Sources said that big landlords who had cultivated cane at their more than lands were being offered secretly the rate RS 220 to 230 per 40 kilogramme by few mills for gaining more than crop to fulfill the crushing capacity of their mills. Sources added that middle men were getting more than benefit as they were purchasing cane from small growers with payment of cane on the spot while then selling the sugarcane to mills in high rate. Sources added that Tharparkar sugar mill was more than buying the cane as its management was very fast to contact with big landlords for buying their cane and paying also payments to landlords as their cane was reached at the mill. When contacted administrative officer of Tharparkar sugar mill Chohadhry Ashraf Arain said that all the above 4 sugar mills of the district were crushing the cane daily about 1 lakhs maunds. He said that rate RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes was being given to growers without transportation fair. He said that sugar cane rate was being offered to growers with mutual consultation of the sugar mills of the district.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Naib Ameer Jamaat Islami Sirajul Haq has said that oppressed system was continued since 60 years in the country as result majority of the masses are not capable to give education, health, bread and basic facilities to their children. He was speaking at the training session of the workers here on Saturday evening. He accused that like black water organizations were responsible of lawlessness in the country as rulers were implementing on the signals of USA . Deputy secretary general Dr Fareed Ahmed Paracha said that government should end its anti masses policy as critical political situation created in the country after parting the ways of JUI (F) with government and said that JI will opposed those would adopt undemocratic ways for getting benefits from government and advised the government to adopt fruitful and constructive strategy for betterness in the country. He said that we are waiting of decision of the Moulana Fazlur Rehman weather he will rejoin the government or not after which JI will decide its future strategy.
